Loch Lomond, Bearsden
The Islands - Public beach in Bearsden, United Kingdom
Well worth a visit. We crossed on the ferry from Bahama. We had a guided tourof the island, with an excellent guide, but there are information points and you can download a map to get your own information. We walked to the summit and round the island and to the burial ground, at a leisurely pace, in less than 2 hours, with 3 geriatrics in our group.
Lovely trip to the island, very friendly staff. We walked for ages and enjoyed every little bit, believe or not we had 4G with EE. View were amazing, fresh air. History was great also. The boat that took us here had a class captian who also sang.
Beautiful
Decent place to enjoy your time with family or friends. A short ride from balmaha (10-15 minutesis nothing compared to the view.
Beautiful little island with stunning views!!
Ah absolutely stunning place
Inchailloch a a beautiful little island set to the east side of the loch. Although you could easily explore the island in a few hours I would recommend taking a picnic and spending time really enjoying and absorbing all the islands beauty and history, the signs of settlement sill exist and are an attraction in themselves, but the scenery is amazing and photos do not do it justice.
Beautiful view from summit point, worth the walk up. Managed to complete the circuit in around 1.5 hours (I saunter rather than walk...)Love a boat ride and that.
Bn many times, camping again 26/5/21. Awesome. Book via Balmaha Ranger Centre. 13 adults a night only.
Get the boat stay for a few days decent people who camp there usually go just to get a away from the crowds on the main beaches
Really nice tiny island for a short hike; can do the entire island in 2-4 hours. There is a £5 ferry from the boat yard in Balmaha; very short, 5 minutes or less.Great place to stop and rest or camp if your boating, kayaking, or paddle boarding. There’s a small sand and rock beach with a boat dock tucked inside a cove on the southwest wide of the island. From either side of the island you can reach the summit in about 25-30 minutes, I did with a 45-50lb pack carrying my child.
Plan to csmpLove it
Amazing place. The view was incredible. We took a lovely boat trip across. I would recommend taking more than 3 hours to explore as there are lots of beautiful things to see.
Beautiful place to visit with stunning views
