HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE.Its just a white people bar to drink alcohol. If thats not your vibe don’t come here.

The ambience right next to the beach is so good.

Good atmosphere, good seafood and the stuff is friendly. But sometimes mosquitoes is a problem.

I’ll start with the starters:We ordered plain nachos.. 3 stars and messyJuices: we ordered fresh orange and mango.. most probably they were mixed with water. The orange juice was so light and the mango juice it doesn’t have taste of mango.Main course: Rib eye steak with mashed potato’s and mushroom sauceOver rated steak, and it has more fat than the meat.The mashed potatoes are literally boiled potatoes with no Butter or spices or anything! it is not like what you know about mashed potatoesI can do better at home honestly.Mushroom sauce is so light also.Conclusion: find another place to have dinner

Nice staff, great food. I tried the Chicken Curry with rice. I can also recommend the Nachos. Top place in Hawana Salalah.

Good food and place for relax and a dip in sea if only you managed to hit the beach early morning.

Staff is super friendly however everything we wanted to order off the menu was unavailable, same with the drinks, also on the menu it states that there is white wine by glass or bottle depending on your preference however gave a rosé wine and continued to say that if we wanted white wine we would have to buy the bottle.

The food was really good! I can recommend any of the Fish dishes on the menu. Especially the daily fresh caught tuna, sea bream and sheri are great. The Staffs are also really nice, friendly and helpful. Great view from the middle of the Latina!Thank you the Island for the wonderful meal you prepared for us! We loved it!

Amazing atmosphere very poetic and romantic especially when its full moon 🌕. But some plates takes long time plus the prices are bit high compared with other same ranking restaurants.

Super cute restaurant, absolutely relaxing atmosphere. The menu has a big variety and the best part is that the owner fishes how own fish every day fresh from the sea. We had the sea bass with veggies and French fries, decent meal which was accomplished with super yummy cocktails. Only improvement could be the dessert as the brownie was way to heavy. Our server was Johnny and an absolute pleasure to be served by, super friendly and had as well great recommendations for drinks and food choices. The Island; See you soon for sure :)

Great view, ambience and very good service. Serves alcohol and delicious food items. Think it is an artificial island but its very good. Feels like enjoying on a boat or something. Lighting made us to feel like a outdoor garden and a boat with sea breezes. Great arrangement of interior and tables.

Make sure you have at least two hours here because the service is very slow. This place was okay overall. The ribeye steak was the star. Order that if you come. The meat was very good and the flavor was simple but succulent. The mushroom sauce that came with it was great and you could tell that they made it from the drippings from the steak—delicious. I am not sure how consistent they are though; please see two different steak pictures below—one appears to have a great crust likely from a cast iron skillet and the other no. The cheeseburger was also pretty good. The meat used seems to be good quality as was the steak. The white cheddar was very present and satisfying. The French fries are also very good and crunchy. The pizza was a big let down and tasted like nothing. The cheese was not prevalent, the sauce was flavorless, and the crust did not impress. Stay away from the BBQ chicken breast. This was the most overcooked piece of chicken I have ever eaten—it was like chewing through leather. The quesadillas were interesting in a bad way. The tortilla tasted like a saltine cracker, which is t a bad flavor, but is weird and not appropriate for a quesadilla and lacked flavor. They were also very stingy with the goodies inside the quesadilla. The fattouch salad was over priced and way too olivey—before you say that is not a word, try the salad. But the biggest let down was dessert. The waiter talked up the homemade brownie. It may be homemade, but it was not good. It was very dense and dry—a very bad note to end on. Oh, and the ketchup had a very odd flavor. To sum up, just ask for the ribeye and skip dessert, and you will be satisfied. In addition to being slow the service is not great. When I put in a to-go order, one of my dishes was wrong despite me repeating it several times—chicken wings turned into chicken breast. The person taking my order also did not ask what sides I wanted. Had I not remembered at the end to go back and specify, who knows what I would have gotten. I also forgot to specify the sauce for my steak, so if course I got none.

Wonderful place to spend evening with family and kids. Activities and food available too. Wonderful arrangement out door.

I was 3 times in Fanar .... and often in the Island Bar ..... I really liked it .... Thumbs up for drinks and food .... and of course the service

Great atmosphere. Great food. Fish was super fresh and well prepared!

Service is fantastic, Gladdis was an amazing server. The food and drinks though, were not good at all. I had one long island, that tasted like gin and coke, ordered a whiskey sour that was made with orange juice, orange juice!!!!! It was horrible. Ordered a quesadilla, that we didnt even want to finish. The beer was nice. If you want to order a drink, make sure you know how its made and guide them through it. I understand this the middle East and good bartenders are hard to find, but there are drink recipes all over the internet. The atmosphere was very nice and our server Gladdis was amazing, but if you want good drinks and food, keep your expectations very low.

The cocktails are a little off (non-frozen piña colada, margarita made with mix), but its one of the very few bars in the area, so itll do. The food is fine and they have a lot of choices.

The location is amazing, very nice staff and ambiance. I stayed there over the weekend so I visited it numerous times and the standards are always very good. There is fresh fish caught every day by the owners and I recommend the thai salad. They also have a great selection of good beverages and cocktails. I really enjoyed my time there.

Great place - impeccable and friendly service. The best we have experienced in the region for a long time. The food was great as well, the seating very welcoming. The wine selection was great and the waiter actually had a very helpful opinion. A very clear recommendation. My wife also loved the arrangements of plants on the terrace.

You write in Google; "Middle east holidays" in Google and then you get hundreds of results.Here is where I recommend to look for "Oman" so you can read now more about the country and its culture. Lets say you decide to go there but first you need more information and somehow you read about Salalah. Right, that is the best place in the middle east to go for a holiday :)Well, if you manage to go to Salalah then you are one of the best travelers in the whole world. Now relax and you to have the best diner with a beer in the Island Restaurant, your desire it!

Good place for a chilled out drink... Service is a little slow and there is no DJ nights or music. So just go there for lounge bar

The Island has become one of our favorite dinner locations in Salalah. The menu selection and preparation is good (not excellent).The service is friendly. Moderately priced compared to Salalahs resort dining.But the atmosphere puts it in a class by itself.

Beautiful location over the water! Friendly service, relaxed vibe. We enjoyed our evenings there. The dishes that I tried were tasty and the staff willingly customised them to my dietary requirements.(Suggestions: a couple more nutritious vegan options on the menu would be great... a middle eastern mezze platter... maybe a thai/indian veg curry... for example... 😊😊)

Horrible service, slowest service, was told after 45 min the item I ordered wasnt available. We ordered Jumbo Prawns that turned out to be mini prawns (mini shrimps). The place is dark as F, mosquitos everywhere, and staff are very uninformed of whats available. Definitely not a place I recommend, this Place as good as it looks and as good of a location it may seem, its Really bad.We were told due to the overload, its taking our food longer, yet there are only 2 tables occupied!They gave us a complimentary garlic bread, literally bread with Garlic n butter smudged all over!

Very dark sitting area outside (can hardly see what is in front of you), one hour wait for food, moldy smelling menu (kid you not), and in general tables not clean. Watch out for small roaches on the floor. Waitress didnt know the difference between Pepsi versus Pepsi Diet!! (No comment).
