The Iron Tomato in White Plains

The sandwiches salads and deserts are all very good. But, the service behind the sandwich counter is slow, surly, and disorganized. Maybe I am too old to fight to place my order, but I dont like to eat food from people I dont trust.

We had a catered event. Iron Tomato was the only place I could think of for the job. The food is fresh and delicious. How could I not use them? The customer service is the best. I love this place it has everything!

Amazingly fresh, every time I go there. Huge selection of salads, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, calzones, etc. The bakery section is amazing, too.

This place is the best restaurant in the country! It has a massive selection all of which are outstanding. The service is great. Everything is clean.. I highly recommend the iron tomato for anyone looking to get a good meal in!

Thank you for catering my Granddaughters college graduation party. Everything was perfect!!! The food was delicious and arrived right on time.  The gentleman that I made the arrangements with was so kind, understanding and helpful . He helped me create a menu that included 3 , different specific dietary requests.> Its no wonder that my granddaughter suggested the Iron Tomato as the caterer of choice.  Food was fresh, beautifully presented and was plentiful. Also loved the party wrap around the sandwiches and dessert platters. Very festive.> Thank you again for everything!!!!>

Best sandwiches in White Plains. My favorite is the fried eggplant parmigiana sandwich.

Stopped by to get some sweets. Very disappointed with their Sarah’s raspberry chocolate cookies. It says “raspberry” but it has a very strong cherry maraschino flavor instead. I was craving raspberry and got the only thing I cannot stand to: artificial cherry maraschino. They should have told me when I asked what is made of. E’clairs were so so.

There are a few absolutely delightful places to buy breakfast and lunch and one of my favorites is The Iron Tomato that’s open 10-4 everyday except Sundays. They are famous for their homemade sandwiches as well as their pizzas, deli, bakery, sushi, salads and their fresh smoothies! They have indoor and outdoor seating and they also sell some staples that you can eat and drink when you get home. And if you are visiting someone, they have lovely trays of cookies snd cakes that make great gifts.

I love their pizza. It’s far delicious. Thick :The cook of the pizzas is the nicest person ever! Because of the pizza and the nice cook I always come back.

I love the place. Great food and customer service. Excellent bakery and pizza. I came from Texas and my sister Donna eats there often. I definitely understand why. Yummy.

Very solid eatery. Wide selection, fresh ingredients, heavenly smelling on-site bakery. Staff is responsive, polite, and the counter people are expert sandwich makers. Also, quiye reasonable prices considering the location.

My offices go to spot for lunch. The salads are OK, not great. If you order kalimata olives, watch out for pits as I almost cracked a tooth once. The sandwiches are the best IT (iron tomatohas to offer, and theyre all big and quite filling. Never get sushi there- its way over priced and youd get more at a sit down place ordering to go on seamless or something.

They had a wide variety of food and tasty Italian bakery dishes and a wide variety of choices, when it comes to flavor they definitely try to pack it in the food, if your ever passing by, never hesitate to give it a try, The Iron Tomato..

This place is great. So far, Ive liked everything Ive had. They have this amazing chopped salad bar, where you choose your own ingredients. You see the employees wash their hands, wash the dishes and change their gloves. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. My coworker and I have been there twice in 3 days. Wonderful place!

I absolutely love the Iron Tomato, I have been coming here since 2012 and I have never left Hungary. From their hot sandwiches to their incredible rice balls 😍 Always fresh and delicious. They just do food right!

Had two bad experiences at this place the last one ordered a bacon egg cheese sandwich white toast. They cook put it on a roll said thats how I ordered it and he did not have white bread. Since when did a sandwich white toast indicate a roll. The second time with getting a simple bacon,egg cheese SANDWICH wrong how hard is that to fix. Being new to this area there are so many places to eat at in White Plains your not limited on selections. I do however like to find one place to be able to go morning and lunch time this place will not be it.

I ordered here for the first time today. Service was fine but the food was not. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was disgusting. The spicy buffalo dressing wasn’t spicy at all, had too much mayonnaise, and was ice cold. I had two bites and had to throw it out. Sadly I won’t be ordering from here again.

Another AMAZING lunch from the Iron Tomato! Its been a while since we ordered deli sandwiches and was so pleased with our food today. Everything was so fresh and tasted delicious. The macaroni salad is the best that I have ever had! I highly recommend stopping in for lunch as they truly have it ALL and always so fresh!!

I cannot say enough great things about iron tomato! The food, the people and the service is all spectacular! We have been delivering food to some of my coworkers loved ones as they are essential workers and iron tomato has delivered! Going out of their way to deliver and keep me posted on the progress! The food is great and I feel like I’m treated like family - thanks iron tomato!

I love the food and all the different options at this place. Although the more I call for delivery the more disappointed I become . This morning in particular when I called, a man answered and started my order and then passed it off halfway through to a very aggressive woman.She had so much attitude like I somehow inconvenienced her by even calling. I hope she realizes that I almost canceled my order on the spot. Now realizing I should have since the sandwich was missing ingredients and my bagel looked steeped on and they didnt deliver our coffee and tea with our meals. We were treated nicely when I called to complain so the gentleman that recieved the call was very professional and I appreciate that.

Great salads and decent food all around BUT!!! if you are in a hurry and want a decent deli sandwich etc- the wait and ineptness of service is excruciating! with half the help completely inept in food service and then another 10 minutes waiting painfully to pay for your food while the cashiers are in the bakery or making expresso! Also the sandwich quality changes from day to day being ok to absolutely horrific! The owners / managers seem to be more interested in socializing rather than expediting the orders and helping the waiting customers get back to work!

I ordered pasta primavera, they gave me this. Worst part is I paid around $21 for this plate. This place used to be good.

I used to come here frequently for the past few years. The service was always great and the food was always "quick" to pick up. Apparently that all ended today. It took 45 mins for someone to attend to my order at the deli with two people serving customers and only one person ahead of myself. The server at the pizza station looked bored watching these two servers at the deli attend to customers as his line for pizza was nonexistent. After finally ordering a simple chicken wrap at the counter, I asked for two crab cakes. After the server rung them up, I looked at the price on the container and it was marked for close to $30. The server tried to charge me $44.99 per pound for two crab cakes. I gave it back to him and just left this establishment. I wont be coming back here again as it looks like they lost interest in their customer base and lost their quality in food control. The servers takes incredibly way to long to handle customers for simple food requests and when a line does start to form the servers at the other stations just twiddle their thumbs. With the increasing amount of other food establishments in the White Plains area, I would totally avoid this one.

I ordered an Italian combo and it was the worst. The women had a hard time making my sandwich then used the hard provolone cheese where you shred on pasta not deli sliced and they charged $11.50 for the whole thing.The meats did not taste right with no flavor, royal scarlet has a better Italian combo and its way cheaper. Comparing 11 to 6 go to Royal ScarletI tried to give this place a chance but if they cant make a sandwich right there is no need for my money.

We came here to get a treat and relax, continues to be a horrible experience. I got an almond horn and it basically almost broke my teeth. The staff is nice but only physically there - mentally somewhere else. When they are not texting you will get their full attention. I took a picture to show the wonderful peaceful view we had while enjoying our treat.This place has so much potential but sad to see it in this way. The prices speak of a fancy eatery - not this. Very high priced. I probably won’t come back here.

I was "Yelping" places to get good iced coffee and breakfast food near my hotel and this place looked the most promising. My family and I walked the two blocks to The Iron Tomato and walked out happy we made the decision. Waling in the place can seem a little confusing but dont worry, someone will quickly point you in the right direction.The restaurant is divided into different areas, pastries, lunch, hot foods, breakfast, etc. Again, dont worry, the staff is awesome and will tell you what you need to know.We were there for breakfast and ordered iced coffee, a couple of bagels with locks and cream cheese and my son ordered pancakes and bacon. All were really good; definitely no complaints.

Come here for the best bacon egg & cheese in White Plains in the mornings. Just make sure the buff looking Spanish dude with the geled hair makes it for you as he knows how to make a good one 👌that being said, the others need to learn a bit from him. Took a star because I havent had anything else from here but the BECs so it wouldnt be fair to just go off that!

Visited this bakery 3 times this week while on a trip to White Plains. The bakery was great! A huge selection of desserts. One of the owners was very friendly in helping me find gluten friendly items, and even went to the back to bring out a gluten free brownie which wasnt on display at the time. All of the desserts we had were all delicious, and staff were always very friendly. Highly recommended!

The Iron Tomato deli is my favorite place to grab lunch or a quick dinner to-go in White Plains. The selection of food is vast, the quality is high and the service is fast and efficient while the prices are very fair for the quantity and quality. Everything from the deli selections to the salad bar to the pizza is excellent. The bakery is top-notch with amazing selections. Ive never been disappointed here and I highly recommend it. The lunch crowd can be quite large so plan your expectations and wait time accordingly.

Amazing selection of salads. Top notch burgers, Italian specialties and, of course, the pastries, out of which Napoleon (in many varietiesis my favorite selection. Very friendly staff. Perfect downtown location. Ive seen many food establishments come and go on Mamaroneck Ave. These guys have been here for many years and are here to stay!!

I wish I had a place like this in Miami! I walked over to The Iron Tomato for lunch last week and what a pleasant surprise this was. Just walking into the place you know you are going to have a great experience. I decided to go for the Sandwich 1 which is the Roast beef sandwich. I have to admit it was the best Roast Beef sandwich I have had in a long time. Freshly sliced homemade meat with the perfect amount of horseradish sauce on a delicious artisan baguette. I only wish I had enough space to take more food with me. Everything looked and smelled appetizing. I cant wait to come back to White Plains to get some more of this goodness.

Fresh food, great variety, and friendly staff. Half of this place is a marketplace and the other half is a bakery. The chicken parm sandwich was amazing.

Great lunch spot with huge sandwiches. Tables to sit and relax. They have coffee and cookies everything you want and all the food looks good and fresh. I like their pizza. Always made fresh and not too salty like other places.

Good food, nice outdoor seating area. Everything is made fresh and large portions. I would have given 5 stars, but the lettuce on my tuna and tomato and lettuce sandwich was wilted, brown and hardly no lettuce at all. I like crunch. But lots if tuna salad and freshest bread ever.

This place has a lot of selection, fresh ingredients, the fresh mozzarella is out of this world. Great Italian style deli and pizzeria. The only issue is its very difficult to find a place to park but other than that the service is quick and its a great place.

This was a spur of the moment find for my son and me. It was just amazing from the food to the service. Great pizza and amazing smoothies not to mention the baked goods. I was hooked upon entering the place. They have something for everyone and i would highly recommend stopping in.
