Upon arriving into Wisconsin we called the hotel to ask for information for checking in and possibly requesting early check in. We were greeted on the phone by a lady that seemed very annoyed with our questions and ended the call by saying “we are very busy right now, your best option is to call back later”Arriving at the hotel some time later I walked in to an empty lobby to ask for the information I requested on the phone. There was two ladies at the front desk. When I gave them my name to receive the information one lady gave a slight eye roll as she is the one I spoke with on the phone. During our conversations I was cut off mid sentence multiple times to be told they can’t help and once again told that they were “very busy”. The phone rang and she past it to the other lady and said it was her mother. (Too busy to give me my information but not busy enough to hold random conversation with a family member while at work). After I was finally able to explain my situation without being interrupted they were able to come to a resolve and let me do a “soft check in”. She took my phone number twice and said I would be contacted when my room was ready and would be given my room number. Many hours later after 6pm I still received no information so I had to call to get my info. Upon calling I talked to someone else that seemed as if none of my information was in their system and had to ask the original lady I spoke to who then called me back and said “we didn’t have your phone number to contact you”To sum it up these two ladies made my stay difficult, inconvenient, and unpleasant by starting my stay off with this nonsense and rudeness. The hotel was nice and other hotel staff were friendly and helpful when checking out.
So my babies and I and the other babies with us were discriminated against at The Ingleside Hotel. Me and my guest were talked to recklessly and threatened to be removed from the property without getting not one dollar back by their staff and their personal sheriff. The sheriff was so rude towards me. They made me apologize in order to stay. I told them I was aware of my rights and the way I was being treated was unfairly. Three employees that work there said that is the way “OUR PEOPLE” meaning black/African Americans are treated there all the time. I reached out to Darryl King Rick Farmer II who not only called them to speak on my behalf of their actions but others as well who’s been treated unfairly. I received a call from the manager whom apologized and said after reviewing the tapes they were in the wrong on how I was treated and refunded me my money back. That’s Not enough for me. I haven’t been asleep and I was very uncomfortable while there. Was forced to apologize to someone for how they treated me while threatened to be taken off the premises in handcuffs for disorderly conduct for asking why were they making my stay uncomfortable. If anyone else has been through anything similar please let us know as soon as possible. This has to stop NOW
Sheets were very dirty - 12 by 12 dirty makeup patch on the sheets. Front desk person was unconcerned but manager at least had it taken care of. Pullout sofa is not something fit for humans, so do not plan to use it. Rooms are not well insulated so you will hear every word your neighbors say. This is a ROWDY hotel. Only positive is most of the staff was friendly.
I would love 0 review if I could!the security was rude the moment we walked in..never greeted us..& treated us so poorly from the moment we walked in the door!! ..long story short he lied & said we cursed at him! Which we never did! He told us we were getting kicked out right away & called the police for no reason as if that was goin to make a difference..His manager never asked us what happened just told us we were getting a refund right away! Poor customer service! This man was literally smiling as we are getting a refund..and the birthday girl was crying (imagine a 5yr crying on her birthday because she’s scared ‼️ literally broke my heart..the police was way nicer to us than the staff that was in the wrong. & this all was about some balloons (which the receptionist said we can bring inI’m guessing the security (by the name Bello (black older guywas having a bad day..I have many complaints about him & this establishment..this will not be the last from hearing from me. My kids are literally traumatized & I will not sweep this under the rug!
It was ok. We booked an executive suite only because the governor wasnt available. They over booked so we ened up in a regular room WITH 6 people!!! The rollaway bed they gave us wouldn’t fit in between the 2 beds so it was wedged in about half way. (See pic)Edit- Im editing because management did reach out and make things as right as humanly possible which is rare these days and i really appreciated that! Kept info about the room change though as that was the main issue and something that was completely out of her (the managerscontrol but she did refund part of the payment and definitely more than she had to. Ether way, my kids had fun at the water park and will be wanting to go again soon im sure.
Everything was nice in the hotel except that they did not have any coffee on Saturday morning. The water park water was extremely cloudy. We showed up on Friday night and there seemed to be very few rules. There was one life guard at the big slides and no life guards on the kids area. My husband was taking my 3 year old down the slide. On Saturday when we came back they weren’t allowing it. The lazy River was so shallow and did not flow at all. The yellow family looking rafts shown in a lot of advertisements were non existent besides the one that was deflated by the raft elevator that also did not work. You must carry the rafts. The kids play area was worn down and dripping from places it shouldn’t be dripping from. Overall it was an ok experience but not worth the price.
The location is very nice its next to this lovely inside water park with a arcade for all ages, the staff at the hotel are real People Peoples real nice and friendly like a home environment, the hotel is nice and clean with large size rooms and the pool area is nice and clean ,the restaurant had such a friendly nice respectful staff that prepares the food quic but makes it taste so delicious 😋 the weight room was nice and clean and they have a few nice and clean meeting rooms
We were at the hotel for a wedding. The groom’s parents room had BEDBUGS!! When they said they wanted a different room the hotel tried to UP-CHARGE them! There were no apologies offered for the inconvenience this caused them, and in the end, the hotel refused to give them a different room as they “didn’t have any” open rooms, therefore they were forced to stay in the same room. The food was awful. Most of it was cold, vegetables were under cooked. At the rehearsal dinner some of the pizza crusts were rock hard & they ran out of pizza as well. By the time they brought one more in, everyone had filled up on a wonderful dessert that had been purchased from an outside vendor. Many of the guest rooms had been given away, including ours, or were listed under the wrong name(s). The event manager was a complete no-show the day before and of the wedding, & no one took his place. There were numerous other mistakes that detracted from the event as well. The waitstaff was very good and did what they could to make things better, but there was only so much they could do. The bartender was wonderful. The front desk staff was awful and made matters worse rather than better. We had been told we could do the take down of the decorations (table settings & dessert tableon Sunday, however due to the event manager’s absence, we were forced to do it that night. As we were unprepared for this, we did not have enough help and it created a very physically challenging situation. I would not, and will not, ever recommend this hotel to anyone.
Everything was wonderful, except our room was not available in time to freshenUp before the reception line for theBride and Groom my great nephews wedding therefore we missed it, notPleased with that. Perhaps in the futurePeople who have paid for there roomMonths in advance for a wedding shouldBe able to get in there room apon arrival.
The rooms are clean, very comfortable, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel offers various accommodations including a fitness center and restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting or long term stay.
Great service friendly staff exceptional bar and dine in restaurant many amenities such as the arcade room water park and mini gym room great place to host weddings, seminars and other events great place to take the kids highly recommend
It’s a great place to stay an a great place to take the family they have a wonderful water park the kids will love an rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable, an housekeeper are great
Beautiful view of the courtyard, nice picnic areas, great housekeeping! Overall I’ll give it 2 👍🏿👍🏿 Up!!
Went here for a wedding and our room as well as other wedding guests’s rooms had bed bug infestations! The hotel did not offer a refund on the stay. I would strongly recommend staying anywhere else.
Its a very nice hotel, but they are posted against firearms. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but their "no weapons" signs are not in accordance with state laws. The signs are not prominent and are not posted at every entrance. This can easily cause someone to break the law accidentally.
Stayed here for a conference and enjoyed the room and location. They were also willing to work with the conference to set up all-gender restrooms for attendees. Only other plus would be continental breakfast, but I understand the hotel is a bit big for that.
Even though this hotel is beautiful, clean and has wonderful staff I will not recommend anyone to stay here. The hotel is built horribly, the elevators are too far from the check-in and none of the doors are handicapped accessible I had the hardest time getting to my room and I had to assist multiple women with suitcases through the doors. The doors are extremely heavy to push through especially if you carrying anything heavy.
Stayed here for a wedding, left my gold watch in the room and once I realized it, I thought it was gone forever. My faith in humanity was restored when Lindsey, the Director of Housekeeping called said one of her staff found my watch and turned it it. Thank you!!!!
OMG!!! The so called owners reply to this post is a FULL LIE!! I never spoke to any HOUSEKEEPER!! They are lying!! It took days to get back to me after 3 emails to the Management!! I have NEVER experienced a company lying to pretend they resolved the MANY ISSUES. SKIP THIS LOUSY HOTEL. Here is my original review. The TRUE events: I havent even been here 10 minutes. you have to walk all the way across the entire hotel to even get to an elevator so definitely not senior friendly. There is no information in the room about the restaurant or how anything works, if theres room service or any information. You call guest services and you dont get through to anyone. you try calling a different number on line and it puts you through a long menu. when I finally reached somebody theyre like, "yeah breakfast is $13" Im like no coffee, no continental breakfast??? Loud wedding guests and an ice machine that sounds like a freight train wkept me awake until aftet 2:00 AM! What would have made it worse?? How about noticing in the morning that someone elses dirty socks are next to the couch!! you might as go to the Holiday Inn in Brookfield and enjoy a clean hotel, free coffee and breakfast, a bar and great staff!! Ill never come back.
On to continue from my hiring experience with the ingleside, I have had a rough year with not being able to work due to a leave situation, I haven’t been able to afford to purchase clothes to their expectations. Especially now with inflation, they could have been more understating. I guess they have never heard of the saying to never judge a book by its cover.
Stayed for two nights. AC barely works and makes loud humming sounds all night long. People walking up and down the hallways late at night, slamming doors. Kids running around and screaming. Wi-Fi is slow. TV is dated. A lot of the outlets in my room didn’t work. Won’t provide late checkout options. Really far from everything- difficult to find and Uber/Lyft if you don’t have a car and want to go to restaurants across the highway. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Right from the start we had a good experience! Peggy was especially amazing getting us checked in and making us feel welcomed - thank you Peggy for setting the stage for such a nice stay!We had a great time at the water park (our 3.5 year old could do three majority of the slides, which was awesomeand the food at DiDi’s was really good. The breakfast buffet could have been better for $12, but overall we can’t complain. Will definitely stay again!!!
If you are looking for a hotel with peace and quiet this is not the place for you. We had to move rooms because it sounded like a zoo above our room. They were kind enough to allow us into a new room. To only put us right next to the room where we complained about! Music, tv, their kids running around in the halls and being so loud next door, etc. the water in our new room also never got warm. The water park was just okay. It definitely felt a little grungy and dirty in the water park area.
Similar situation to my previous rating, I went into a bathroom at the hotel where the wedding takes place to use my breast pump and realized there were no outlets. I asked the staff if there were any restrooms at all where I could plug in. They said no, but gave me a key for an unused suite so I could pump. I returned the key and they said it was no trouble. I appreciate their kindness so much!
Shame shame shame on you. This hotels service is despicable and I would never wish a stay here upon my worst enemy. Do better. If you are in the service industry, learn to treat customers with respect. I suggest you put all your staff through customer service training as well as human decency training ( specifically the manager Stacy )
Decent Hotel. They think they are a 5 Star hotel from Las Vegas or something and in reality, it’s a glorified Super 8. For a normal hotel, The Springs Waterpark attached was good. Overall, decent place to spend the night.Pizza from Didi’s is not good so please don’t wasted your money.
This hotel is very nice and appears clean. However, the service here is not good. We stayed 4 nights and didnt use the water park at all. I read in an earlier response on a review that they dont do housekeeping services for the room unless you are staying 4 nights or more. That would be fine if you could at least get the necessities taken care of. I called for fresh towels twice, on different days and never got them. Had to send my husband for toilet paper as they didnt even replenish that. Family in another room took their own trash out. I get the "due to covid" excuse for reducing housekeeping services, but they shouldnt be completely eliminated, which is honestly how it seemed. I even asked the housekeeping one day for towels and while one of them were friendly and explained that I needed to call down to the front, the other housekeeper butted in and stated "we arent doing towels today, we are trying to clean" as she was furiously mopping the floor in the room across the hall.It wasnt all bad. Michael in the dining room has a great sense of humor and was awesome to give a hard (jokinglytime to. The bartender that was down there last night, 6/19/22, was awesome. I unfortunately didnt catch his name. However he was right on top of refills and food.Overall it was a so so experience. We check out of the hotel today so at least Ill be able to get fresh towels when I get back home.Improve on housekeeping services and friendliness of your staff and this would be a place Id probably return. And honestly, for guests staying 4 nights and paying the cost of this room, they should be able to get their room necessities replenished at least every other day. Change the trash and towels, refill the toilet paper. I dont care if the bed isnt made although that is always a plus.Anyway, thats my two cents. I wish this hotel lots of luck and getting quality staff to turn a lot of these negative experiences around.
I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. The cost is very pricey.I asked that we be close to each other, we had a vacant room right next to us but they wouldnt let us use it. Then they lied to me and told me it was a suite, it was not it was a double queen, just as we needed. Mydaughter could not even get in her room until 5:00 pm, which was rediculous again when room next to us was vacant., and I paid a big price for 3 separate rooms.
Overcharged me. I found out the next day when I checked my bank account. I called and was informed that I needed to speak with a manager. The manager was not in that day.I left a message and my call was never returned. This is all over $30 and the "costumer service" was less than desirable.Update, finally I did get a refund but it was a headache.
The romantic package for couples was great. Staff of hotel were very friendly nice and helpful. Prices were great and the food at the water park exceeded expectations. Rooms were very clean and beds were so comfy, would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back!
The hotel is nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The reason I am giving it two stars is because we asked for a linen change due to an accident in the bed and they would not come in the room and change the linens. They did give us fresh linens for us to change. The claimed COVID is why they will not come in the room, however personally feels like it is a way to cut down on labor costs.Had to empty our own trash and take our towels down to be exchanged.
Very big hotel with lots of things to do near by and at the hotel. We stayed in the executive suite. Lots of room for a family. Bar , restaurant , pool , exercise room , ball room , room service or you can get it and take to your room. Water park attached also. Closed when we traveled there , but we were still happy with the stay. Definitely check out this hotel if in the area..
This was our first time visiting and we really loved it there. Waterpark was great, arcade was small but had plenty of different games to play. The waterpark food was actually very good. For what we are used to for waterpark food, this by far was so much better. Our only complaint was the womens bathroom in the waterpark was very gross. It was super dirty. I would think someone should be coming once an hour to just wipe it down. With how many people are coming in and out they need to clean it more. We did stay in the hotel and we just loved the room. Super cute and VERY clean. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back as well as recommend others to visit there
We held an important conference meeting at the property, and the property really delivered on the commitment they made to our group. Their attention to detail, the Chefs preparation and delivery of the food by the staff was really an experience we will remember. The property seemed to be very newly remodeled and while weve held conferences elsewhere, we feel the Ingleside hotel demonstrated they wanted our business. A special thank you goes to Mary Kruse who held her cool with our special requests.
Water park and pool were really really fun, but the staff at the desk were not friendly or really helpful at all. Other staff were very nice and also were resourceful.
My team and I love DJing at this venue. The staff is so polite, professional, very good at their jobs. The food is phenomenal, the rooms are gorgeous. This wedding venue makes our job a breeze!
The rooms are all new, clean, comfortable and SPACIOUS for an extremely good price! We had a wonderful staycation with our three young children! Thanks for the escape during this never ending winter!
We were there for the water park. Had a good time and they have a number of things that are family fun. Plan on doing another day trip with the grandson again. They have a nice snack bar. Helps with keeping the kids happy
This is a great option for a family getaway close to home! The waterpark is smaller but clean and has lots of activities. The rooms are clean. The food is ok. It is the same cost as the Wilderness in the Dells for one night and you get more at the Wilderness. However, for the convince of being close to home it can’t be beat!
So we had a king suite that is suppose to sleep 6. It only slept 4. One king bed and a let out couch. The cost of the room was not worth what we walked into. Additional to that the staff were pleasant and efficient. One negative that I found degrading was the art work throughout the hotel reminded me of slavery. If youre going to have diverse group of people staying at your hotel you should make it relatable to all your guest. Last the chlorine was beyond strong. The actual pool area was kept up nice based on the amount of guest that were in the Waterpark. Overall I give 3 stars there is always room for improvement.
As somebody coming from Chicago, we are used to going all the way to the Dells (or the Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, nowfor an experience like this. The Ingleside and Springs Water Park are far more reasonably priced and the accomodations and attractions are comparable. Plus, they are pet friendly, so our puppy got to tag along!I will gladly be back.
Clean with nice sized rooms. Staff was friendly. We didnt like the food served from the hotel restaurant and would prefer to order out during our next stay. Everything else was great!
Just finished our stay family of 6. Hotel was nice. Food was good at didis and at the water park. I thought more option for breakfast buffet would be good but service and food great. Michael was very nice.Check in was fine room was nice. I wish our room had a table. Beds were comfy and clean. Walls seemed to be thin could hear others and they were not loud.I will go back because we had a great time our 9 and 5 year old loved it
The experience was just "ok". Nobody came to the rooms to clean, provide clean towels, replenish coffee, etc etc. We got skipped somehow. When grandma mentioned this to the cleaning staff with the carts in the hallway still cleaning, she was told she had to call downstairs.. and do the same if she wanted more coffee. I have a baby so not getting the trash taken out daily got very smelly. Also there is a bad smell in the hallway "wet dog smell" and even the staff agreed. Maybe there is a ventilation issue? Not having microwave in the rooms also a pain. Our room was at the back of the hotel so even thou they have some at the front, just not convenient. The food at the restaurant was just ok as well. My daughter liked the Mac n cheese. But honestly, for other items "grown up food" the prices are high for quality and flavor. They have a small pool in the middle of the property, really wish they had a hot tub there. The Waterpark is small but ok as well.
The worker name Marshall was very helpful, patient and knowlegde about everything. He made my experience wonderful. The world needs workers like him. Keep up the great work you doing at Ingleside Hotel and Spring Water Park.
Purchased two day passes. The bar is not open during the week. A security man directed us to walk through the hotel to purchase drinks from the restaurant. Then to follow up the next time saying we can’t walk through the hotel. We have to enter outside during a pandemic while wet from a water park to purchase drinks to bring back through ? Are you serious? 40$ Is already over priced for the small amenities that were open. The hot tub outside portion is closed. The cyclone was closed. The bar is closed. The front desk is closed. There is a huge line for check in due to there is only one employee in the arcade taking care of everything. The bar tender at the restaurant was very nice and accommodating . However the man who claims to be security but wouldn’t even help the poor girl in arcade is terrible ! Won’t be back.
This was our first time staying on property and everyone had an enjoyable experience. Our 2 queen bed room was ready when we arrived, it was clean, and updated! Personally, the bed toppers and pillows were very comfortable, above average for a 3star hotel. After check-in we did a little swimming at the water park, which had a very comfortable temperature inside, and a little arcade gaming. Then, a group of 10 of us went to Didis around 6pm without a reservation... This caught Joe off guard a bit but within 5 minutes he seated us in the back section and he took such good care of us it was a breath of fresh air. In fact, it was the best service weve had as a family at a hotel restaurant in a very long time. Between our group we tried; Reuben, Chk Club, Pizza, Burger, Chk fingers and it was Friday so Fish Fry! All of it was very good and reasonably priced. Wed come back again to both the hotel and Didis :Hopefully your stay is as pleasant as ours was.
Was there for a banquet party. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bartenders did a great job keeping the lines moving. Food was just exceptional. Only one food thought. Scallops were a salad add-on and they were great, but I never serve scallops chilled. I would have served them warm or right off the grill. No big deal, just something to consider.
Our stay was amazing! We had great customer service. The hotel staff was accommodating, helpful and friendly. The manager, Juve, was attentive and took the time to talk with us. We had drinks in the water park with Ken, who was Awesome!!!! He was personal and had a very chill vibe, which is necessary when so many kids are running and swimming around! We came down to Didis to order dinner and Kendra was super friendly, funny and quick to deliver drinks when she was busy. We are a large group (3 adults, 5 kidsand we would absolutely come back here again!!!
This is our second visit here. The rooms are fine, clean. Their indoor pool are is nice to hang out but if you have really young kids, need to get your own flotation device as there is no splash area. The water is good, keeps kids busy and has few fun things for adults too.
