Yesterday was my first time going to Hussar durbanville and will most certainly be my last time visiting any Hussar grill!I ordered a cocktail and sent it back because it had strange floating particles in it and they made me another one...which was ok...We had our meal and the food was ok...I couldnt finish my food so packed a doggy bag to take home with me.Fast forward to around midnight and I had a violent case of diarrhea, and for 2 more times until morning.Upon closer inspection of my doggy bag I realized the t-bone steak i had ordered had a nasty foul smell.So disappointing and what an utter waste of R800.

Tuesdays = Date night special.Gorgeous / cozy interior, fantastic service and great steak. Any two courses with a complimentary bottle of the Hussar Grillss 50th Red Wine & chocolate vodka martinis for R399 per couple.

The food and service at Hussar Grill Durbanville is always excellent and thats why I keep going back there.

Enjoyed a delicious game steak with garlic potatoes. Well paired with a glass of Franschhoek Shiraz.Had a Hollandse bitterballen starter and a creme brulle dessert. Overall very satisfied for easy dining.

Had to send rump steak back.Tough.I Never do it.Second one also not great but felt I would just leave it .Not in mood for scenes.One thing for sure.I will never visit this Restaurant chain again .

Service is good but quality of food just very poor. Chewy fillet steaks is a sign of this quality. We sent food back twice. Not again .

What an amazing dinner we had for our anniversary date night. Food was superb, Robby our waiter was awesome as was the hostess who was very attentive and made sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. Will definitely be back.

Yesterday my wife and I got a Husser Burger and Steak Roll from this outlet. We were so disappointed with the steak roll due to the sinews in it_ we had to throw it away. This just spoilt the whole experience. We will not go there again.

I had the best service in a while from the moment i walked it the have greeted me with great attitude andafter a long day that puts a smile on your face. A waiter helped me once I was seated and the manager came to me introduced himself and asked if I’m there for a meeting and asked if there is anything that he can bring during the meeting. I have found this super professional and have most definitely exceeded my expectations. Well done and keep it up.The waiter also knew all the information about the stakes and different cuts I had a rump and was perfectly cooked nice and tender.

Lovely table, linen, napiary,. Waiter knew his duties, attentive without being intrusive. Lovely decor, tasteful, no advertising. The best Hussars I have visited.

My boyfriend took me out to The Hussar Grill for a surprise lunch on my 30th birthday.We got cocktails to start, which were delicious. Our lunch consisted of a starter and a main course - this cost only R145 per person! All of the food was yummy and really good value for money.I would definitely recommend visiting if you want to feel fancy but not spend an unreasonable amount of money.

Food: Generous portion, filling, flavourfulService: Excellent, waiters gives exceptional client service. Did not wait long for anything at all and this while the restaurant was packed.Ambience: Perfect setting especially for their date night special.

Food and service -excellent!!!! The temperature was way too high. Although it was a cold night outside, the aircons in the restaurant were set too hot. After bringing it to the waiters attention, they tried to lower the temp - Thanks!!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food and wine.The calamari were excellent, not rubbery at all. The chateaubriand was tender and the chocolate vodka martinis were thick and creamy.Would definitely recommend.

We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary last night at Hussar Grill Village Square. We couldnt ask for better place as we were so spoiled by owner and staff. Food was great and the Vodka chocolate Martini to die for. Thank you again. We will be back with family and friends

We went with our folks to Hussar Grill. Service and food was good, not excellent. Whilst the food was good, we found that the creme bule was ice cold. Not impressed!

Everyone at the table was very happy with their food. All the steaks was grilled perfect.This was over the easter weekend, and there was small easter eggs hidden between the decor items in the for the children.Only down side is that they do not have kiddies menus.

We have eate ln at Hissar Grill a few times and have never been disappointed.Steaks are world class.

We booked online. On arrival we were immediately taken to our table and offered drinks. They brought complimentary, tasty homemade crisps and delicious olives. Our starters were great and we enjoyed our meals. Great music and atmosphere. The Choc Vodka Martinis were really good and we would go again.

Food was amazing (had the steak), as was the service, could not fault it at all.My only advice to management - I know Hussar grill is not typically a family restaurant, but when you’re on holiday from another country, it’s not always possible to leave the baby at home, so baby seats would make life a little easier :)

Found my new favourite steakhouse. Got what I asked for which was great. Steak is melt in your mouth. Friendly service and awesome steaks. Well done and thank you for an awesome lunch

Excellent!! It is always a pleasure to dine at Hussars Grill. Best food in town and great service. Did their Date Night special and as always wasnt disappointed. Great value for money. Safe and secure parking, attentive waiter. We are regulars and it just keeps on getting better. A 5-star experience from start to finish. O...did I mention the cappuccino...great end to the evening. We will be back (again and again!)

2019: New and just popped in for a lunchtime burger. Good as is to be expected from any Hussar. Friendly staff. Attentative manager / owner. Foreign couple asked for a baby chair, which he promptly borrowed from "next door". That extra mile! Heres to wishing you great success.PS: waiters were getting pricing wrong on more than one table charging for sauces that are included in dishes. First an overcharge, then undercharge....3rd time lucky2021: Been back regularly. Quality remains consistent. Staff always friendly and attentive. Keep it up!

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday. Cynthia had excellent ribs and I had a fabulous lamb shank with mashed potatoes. Impeccable service . We will go again. And I heartily recommend this place to others.

Lovely experience. Quick and easy service as well as friendly!Had a steak and death by chocolate for dessert. Steak prepared to perfection. Dessert was a bit too much (bitter and sweet mix?for my taste, but was already full when halfway through steak still finished it all.4 stars, expensive. but I dont feel a big difference in atmosphere or food as why it is so expensive.

Hussar grill is known for its excellence and hospitality, and wow they did not disappoint!The staff are so friendly and welcoming, service is fast ( even when busy and the food is incredible !They reminded me again what fine dining really is !!!You can’t get better than this !

A very classy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Rich history and the food and service was excellent. There is a bit of a price tag because of the reputation of the restaurant but it was justified. A great meal with great service resulted in a lovely experience.

Brilliant new restaurant. Good decor and service as received from other Hussar franchise stores. Excellent service and no corkage is charged. The lunch menu from 12 to 5 is a great deal at R130. Highly recommended

We decided to try the date night special offered on a Tuesday. We were accommodated even though I made an error with the booking. Schubert was fantastic and extremely helpful. The seating was great and socially distanced. The waitress, Tendai, was attentive and took extra care in ensuring that our needs were met. The food was spectacular. This was honestly one of the best experiences Ive had at a restaurant. Superb!

I can with no hesitation highly recommend Hussars Grill in Durbanville. From the service, to the food, to the attention to detail did I observe how the Manager and his staff make our visit unforgettable.

Popped in for a lunch time snack a bit later than usual (close at 4pm on Sundays). Food was good as always and the staff happy. Never disappointed!!
