Airy pub with stripped floors, skylit dining area and outdoor deck, for cask ales and British menu.
A nice pub and food great apart from the rude waiter serving the food, try using manners they cost nothing.
Theyre always wrapping cling film around the beer taps at like 10.30pm. I feel like they need to commit to being open properly so local people know its worth leaving the house for a couple. The Bang burgers are outrageously priced, a burger and chips with a pint should not be costing more than Β£20 a ten minute walk away from a Zone 3 overground stop
Really good food and very helpful staff.
Great space accompanied by lovey accommodating staff. Would recommend for big family occasions especially the space upstairs.
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, always greeted by smiling faces and the vibe is always on point. Really and cosy nice interior with great outdoor areas in the front and the back. Also can expect a fun event or two every month, including great pub quizzes!
I love this pub by far the best in the area, very nice staff and management, drinks are affordable would definitely recommend
We enjoyed our meal however unfortunately half our parties order got lost in the system between bar and kitchen so came after the other half had finished, however snacks were provided for those who had to wait so no harm done!
Love this place Always friendly Good food and the staff are not looking too
Great pub, good service and wide range of beers. Pub quiz busy, a bit loud but fun overall
Got the bang bang burgers & shin nuggets, it was ok but forgettable. I had seen it on IG but reality was different but Filling all the same. I grabbed a takeaway so didnt dine in the pub itself.
Lovely venue with a cool, cosy decor. Drinks are well prepared and food is excellent for a cheeky lunch on the weekend

Such a friendly pub with so many different events , lovely staff and I recommend the vegan roast one of the best Iβve had!
Brilliant outside area, live band on a Sunday. Indoor decor really cool.Had a Pork belly roast, the portion was very generous.Good selection of beers on tap.
A home from home - cosy sofa spaces, outdoor garden spaces, plenty of room for everyone and a lively calendar of events.Staff are super friendly and cover a large venue very well. Thereβs a good wine selection by the glass and they take good care with their cocktails
Neil and Freda were the perfect host. Lovely room and surroundings. Nice cooked brekky in the morning. Lots of different style rooms to book which we were also interested in. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
I went for the Sunday roast with some girlfriends and I wasnt disappointed! Nice vibes, reasonably priced.
Good garden space, the day we visited there was a "Drag Artist" day and it included drag queens singing it didnt bother my wife or myself but some regulars werent happy with this entertainment in the middle of the day I wont be going back any time soon but good luck to the pub for its stance on Diversity.
Really nice pub, great food and drink and lovely staff, 100% recommend to anyone
Such a lovely pub. I felt at home and the atmosophere was great. Friendly staff and fantastic drinks. Highly recommend going for their pub quiz too, it was such a laugh. Will definitely be coming again soon ππ»β€οΈ
1st impressions. Diverse in every way possible and so relaxed and charming and simply just great pub for every day folk. And sunday lunch was yummy !!
Top quality food and drinks. Delicious taste. There is no long wait for food.
I acknowledge that I have a particular problem with the creeping practice of pubs closing before their advertised times on ad hoc bases. Usually it is justified on the grounds that the pub is very quiet. However, last night this pub ceased serving at 10.10 when the pub was busy and the pub quiz was in progress. A barman told me that there were only two servers available and that they were very tired. I empathised with him but asked for the contact details of the responsible manager to continue the dialogue. I was stonewalled, I believe under instruction, hence this review. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS WHATEVER LEVEL OF MANAGEMENT SCANS THIS REVIEW. This is a great pub with fantastic staff (especially Chris), brilliant burgers, and great Sunday roasts. The venue is spacious, boasts two outside spaces, and unique decor. There are also regular events, theme nights etc. Fantastic place
Good choice of beers and highly recommended for Sunday roasts. This week I had the lamb, which was a shoulder cut, slow cooked and spiced with North African / Middle Eastern spices. I am not sure it was the prefect marriage but I guess Iβd had thoughts of lamb leg in the more traditional sense. The flavour of the lamb and the tenderness was really good just not sure it went with roast and boiled veg and a yorkie. The pork is usually always hit and the burgers ordered by the other dads looked really good. The extra effort to connect the alcohol free lager to tap was a bonus so I got to try lucky saint on draught too.
Good beer, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and live music. Didnt have any but the food looked good too!
Nice airy pub that does food and hot drinks. The staff are always kind and the vibe is always chill. The only downsides are that the food is pricey and comes in small portions (Β£11+ for a small burger with no sideand the beer selection could be better (too many Laine brewery taps)
Recently started up an acoustic Traditional Folk Music session here, every Tuesday 9pm onwards. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Customers enjoyed the music and the pubs acoustics are excellent for unplugged instrumental music.
Nice pub with a lovely atmosphere. Great food, best burger I think Ive had. Service is a bit slow
Family late lunch. Simple menu, burgers and burgers with a veg option. Reasonably priced, tasty food served hot and by cheerful staff. Spacious pub interior, lots of outside seating. Reasonably comfortable with rather eclectic mixture of chairs. I have a feeling they would be challenged with catering for pub at full capacity. Nice mixture of ages, couple with children, locals calling in for a drink and also dog friendly.
Very pleasant, friendly Boho pub, nice smoking area (or beer garden if youre not that way inclinedand generously-sized portions of chips! Nice selection of 80s disco on the PA too...
Average London pub. Ordered two black coffees and they came in small and large cups with the larger one cheaper! Dog & family friendly. Male toilet seat deteriorated and un-hygienic. Staff friendly enough. No real aleπ
This is a busy pub with fab food from a great kitchen nested in the dining room.Everything was great. Make sure to order cheese. Nice wine selection too.
Nice enough place with a decent pint of Guinness. Good outdoor space to catch a few rays of sunshine. Very family oriented.Where it should really do much better is the service. Our food came out pretty much cold. And there was almost as many staff as patrons at the time. Disappointing to say the least. Particularly as its on the pricey side. If I did go back, I wouldnt be eating.
Had a roast with the family. It was alright, nothing special to be honest. The beef was really nice but the rest of the roast wasnt very nice.We ordered a side of pigs in blankets and extra veg that for some wierd reason, they brought to the table a good 20 mins before the roasts?!I had to ask to send them back to keep warm on the hotplate and by the time the roasts did come, theyd dried up. The beef shin nuggets (Β£8.50 /nearly Β£3 each!Werent very nice or worth the money.Nice enough staff though and it was busy, but overall, wont be going back for a roast there again.
Now a pub/restaurant whereas last time I went was just a pub. Mains are roasts or burgers plus starters/sides. Place was quite full & all seemed to be enjoying their food & companionship, so very friendly atmosphere. Feel sure I will be returning again!
Worst pub in the area by some distance. The staff are mostly fine and perfectly cordial, but every time Ive gone in its just boring people in there eating overpriced food and drinking overpriced flat beer, almost pretending they are having a good time. Ive had more laughs at a wake. If you want a decent boozer, there a few nearby. If you want a nice meal, there are some good options nearby also. All things considered, its pretty lame coming here for both of the above, as it ticks neither box. Places like this shouldnt be encouraged. Only giving 2 stars because I feel sorry for the staff.
Delicious sharing boards for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and and friendly staff.
Disappointing Sunday lunch. Given advance on notice on booking that 2 out of the 3 us are gluten intolerant. When meal was served we were told sorry no gluten free gravy. Then when we asked about the yummy Yorkshire puddings on our plate, we got another apology and they were whipped off our plates. Sorry but this is just not good enough especially as we were then charged the full price. But the main issue was the risk of illness had we not questioned the waiting staff about the food on our plates. The food we did eat was very good.
Great local with good atmosphere, craft beer and a living wall! Today (Halloweenwe walked in to the surprise of a live band which was fun
Had the best time here on SundayThe live band was amazing! (They are there till end of October, every Sunday)The hospitality made my heart melt #AboveAndBeyondMassive thanks to Charlotte, Freddie, Ellie, Will and the rest of the team#Amazing#GoHire
Nice building, with an outdoor space as well. Drink and food. Food menu fairly restricted to a range of burgers with just a few other choices, fairly expensive for what you get. On the day I visited there were no guest beers available.
Upgraded original review from 3 to 4 stars as 3 was a bit mean. Visited 19/6/21.Always a great pub to visit. Great atmosphere/ambience. Visited for lunch with family and friends. First of all the bar staff and customer service was excellent. However, disappointed to not see at least one cask ale available. Surely this can be achieved, even taking Covid into account. Although to balance this the two keg beers i had were really really nice. But four cask pumps without clips honestly looks poor.Burgers and Club Sandwiches were really lovely, and a good size. But please tell me, why oh why do the fries (which were lovely btwhave to be ordered as a side and not be included with the burgers. Others on our table were unhappy with this. Very few people ever order a burger without fries. Seen this recently in other pubs as well, unfortunately.Still had a lovely time though and worth a visit.
My husband and I had a small wedding reception here last month, and everything was above and beyond what youd expect from a pub wedding! Everyone was talking about how great the food was. Big shout-out to Charlotte who looked after us very well. This is a great place for weddings.
It has a great atmosphere and service. The only disappointing thing was the lack of choice on the menu. You expect to go on Sunday and get a sunday roast which they wasnt doing.Im still giving it 5 stars because the food was amazing, despite the small choice options.
Great local pub, visited for the first time with my partner and we had a great evening. I booked ahead and we ordered drinks via the app and it was a quick service. Sat in the front garden and the weather wasnt great but there was shelter. Havent tried the food yet but cant wait to visit again and have some burgers!
Our much loved local pub. Amazing staff, lovely interior, feels like home. Great vegan food offering, beer garden at the front and back of the pub. Cozy atmosphere and we hosted an event here which I would really recommend.
I stopped there for an unplanned lunch and I must say that it surprised me! This pub has a great variety of food, and has way more healthy options then other pubs, for example, I ate seabass with new potatoes and asparagus. Iβd love to go back sometime in the evening and see whatβs up. Would recommend!
What a great place! The staff were really friendly, actually had decent chat. The tacos were awesome and the franks wings were the right kind of hot AND dont get me started on the blue cheese sauce! Holy moly.
Came here 5 months ago, and had occasionally visited before. It used to be so Light and cosy here. So airy and fresh. We came back yesterday evening as we hadnt been for a while. Its changed hands yet again. This time for the worst! We ordered calamari and it was undercooked and hard. Now Ive has calamari before however my sister hadnt. She was unsure of how it should be, but I definitely could not stomach it. My sister had gone to discuss the atrocious calamari, the bar man was so pompous I had to intervene and demand a refund. He was arrogant and I saw that he was giving my sister a hard time. He insisted on tasting it himself only to agree that it was undercooked! All that fuss could have been avoided. Not only that but he short changed us. Cant be bothered to fight this as we are in no hurry to come back here.Really disappointing, weve had some fond memories here.
