4655 Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32811, United States, Sanford
Religious theme park with Christian history exhibits & theater shows, plus gift shops & restaurants.
I went here with my grandma and the church, and as a kid at the time it was boring to me but I did like the performances,I do remember a female actor gliding her hair on the male actor who was playing Jesus feet which I thought was a little over exaggerating but it was nice. I like the mini sculpture of Israel and the sculptures through out the park. I remember taking home these mini wooden cup which had grape juice in it which represent the blood of Jesus and the unsalted cracker that also represent him too. Over all its a beautiful place but I wont recommend taking your kids here if they get bored easily or they are hyperactive.
Amazing place for the history of the holy land, they don’t call it the holy land experience for nothing. Great place to visit while in Orlando a definite not to be missed and great for all ages and family. Safe travels
It looks like a beautiful place I wish I could go there. I wish the Holy Land Experience will open once more so I could enjoy it.📯⛪🕊
My visit to this remarkable location was an experience I will never forget. I am heartbroken to find out that it has closed indefinitely. I believe this place is vital; especially in the days we are living in now. Sadly, even though I enjoyed my experience, it was too far from the will of God. It was more geared to making money instead of putting God first. You got to have a healthy entertaining experience, better and more enriching than Disney or Universal, but was still driven too much by money and business. If we put God first, everything else will be provided.I have been given a vision for this place and wish I was wealthy because I would buy it from TBN and run with it.Continued in next review.
If you are in Orlando for Disney and SeaWorld experiences, I would also pencil in this particular destination for a great Biblical and Holy Land (Israelexperience. If you are unlikely to ever make a trip to the Middle East or Israel then this is really a good experience especially as a family or with kids.Remember to park your vehicle such that you dont have to walk too much to the entrance. The reason for the four star rating is since quite a few of the areas were closed. We visited in the month of July 2019.Otherwise, it is a an excellent opportunity for the kids and even adults to enjoy and familiarise themselves with the Bible times. The musicals here are really wonderful. It is a brilliant cast and the entire team is just great. It is a good stop for church groups or families.
Loved the amazing Jerusalem setting, complete with beautiful plants and flowers! They really have their history details on the Bible translation! We enjoyed seeing the mini Jerusalem replica. The guy who talked about it really knew his stuff. The theater is great if you love emotional drama and very loud music!
I had no real idea what to expect, I thought I would be taking pictures with Bible characters, looking at exhibitions etc... Nothing prepared me for the all singing all dancing Broadway musical/theme park/biblical museum. The Holy Land Experience is a family-friendly environment. I watched tales from the bible play out before me and interacted with biblical characters. Some scenes were held outside and others in smaller intimate theatres that gave an immersive quality to the outing.David: The King of Jerusalem, was the current epic three-act musical daily entertainment show. It was presented in the 2,000-seat Church of Nations auditorium, which looks like a Roman Colosseum. It is easily the largest, most technologically advanced theater in any local theme park, from the massive curved video wall that forms the upstage cyclorama to the state-of-the-art sound system.Wanting to relive the experience, my relatives and I went back immediately the next day. The songs were so catchy and inspirational I bought the shows CD and I am still singing the songs every day. I would definitely visit again.
The Holy Land Experience in Orlando. I will have to admit to being disappointed. Most of the live shows were in the morning or piled on all at the same time at 4:30 or 5 p.m. The only thingS on offer during the time we were there were a movie (revised: apparently it was a live-action play , but no one told us thatabout David in three 55-minute minute parts, and a 55 minute stroll through the scriptorium and a tour of a model of Jerusalem. I hate to say it, but in a world where everything is done in 30 second sound bites and a 20-minute presentation seems to last forever, 55 minutes is interminable. Who is going to sit through that when they can go to Disney? The scriptorium was very interesting, but we had to rush through so that we could make it to the tour of the Jerusalem model. However if you want to buy stuff or eat, this is the place for you. They have gift shops and cafes every time you turn around. Oh and theyre going to start charging for parking on Monday. At least we were each able to get a $10 discount for my being a veteran :-)
Minute for minute, dollar for dollar, more fun than Disney. The heart of the park is a theatre that seats two thousand and stages a professional three act musical play six days a week. The grounds are beautiful, lively but uncrowded.Everyone is nice. The other guests are nice. The ushers are nice. The ticket clerk was nice. Even the guard who checked my purse was nice. The show was good. The old Bible story of David was brought to life in a way that was sincere and moving.
Wonderful experience at the Holy Land; great place for learning, fellowship, family adventures, and to reflect on Biblical history. It was really Hot outside when traveling from one location to another; and also during the waiting period for the next show to start, so recommend taking a small umbrella to shield the sun.
This was one of the most incredible experiences for myself and my family. We heard it was excellent but we had no idea what to expect. This is a must see. I was brought to tears more than once. Just beautiful
The shows are AMAZING!!! It’s a very peaceful place. You feel you’re among family. The staff was absolutely incredible, super nice and courteous! You can buy some souvenirs brought directly from Jerusalem.
Very beautiful theme park. Modeled after the biblical times and events. Plenty to do and low cost... worth every penny. The have an Amazing show about King David that was very entertaining and educational. Putt-putt, museums, a scriptorium and beautiful photo ops! We will be going back! You should definitely go!
If youre Christian and youre in Florida or visiting folks here or vacationing, this is one place you have to visit. I love the fact that everything is within comfortable walking distance. Spiritually awesome and the characters are so wonderful. My parents and in laws loved it.
I wish there had been more information on what to do and expect when i purchased tickets online. We had no idea what to expect nor were we given a good guide. Anyone going to the Holyland experience needs to know that you should get there at 10 am if you can so you can catch the beginning shows. The main stage show builds upon itself with 3 shows throughout the day. If you miss one you dont get a second chance. We got there around noon (so we missed the 1st of 3 main stage showsnot knowing what to expect and we were only able to cover about 40 - 50% of the park shows before they closed at @5:45pm. At @$50 per ticket we probably didnt get our moneys worth. That being said the shows that we saw were very good with good stage performers. Overall we were glad that we went.
Talk about educational, fun, exciting, entertaining, wholesome and budget friendly - then here is the place! Initially, I thought that it would take just 1-2 hours to roam but when you reach, there is an entire schedule to fill your whole day, from 9-6. There are live performances of Bible stories, kid activities, demonstrations and my favorite, the Bible museum/scriptorium. Can I say, yes again! I would recommend reaching early as some performances get filled quickly. Also, there is no fine dining or dining options available, just small cafes throughout. Hopefully they would offer dining packages in the future. Remember too though, the experience is what you make it. If youre open to learning more about the Bible in a safe, honest and creative environment, then this is the spot! I dont know if they change shows ever so often, but I would quite enjoy seeing the ones I saw again, when I return.
This theme park is completely dedicated to the bible its a all nations church. They have plays as well as lots of teaching scenes of the bible from the biging to end words cant explain when u going ur heart is wowed by all the great scenarios noahs ark jesus tumb replica and lots of foods of how they ate and live in tho see time. This is truly to me the best theme park for learning and time well spent the entry fee its not bad at all to me its all worth it.when u go in you will love it they even got from meTears of joy .as u. Walk around it feels so good to learn.and look at how they lived. So go see its a great place.
Wow! I found this little gem tucked away in a travel book, The Unofficial Guide: Beyond Disney. I mentioned it to our friends we were traveling with and she was excited to visit the park too. We took the drive over just this afternoon with our teenage daughters. Arriving later in the day, around 2:00, was not ideal because it was extremely hot and we missed a bunch of the shows we would’ve liked to have seen, but what we did see was AWESOME.The landscaping and gardens are beautiful! The place is very well maintained. Everywhere we went within the park felt reverent and period appropriate. It truly is a gem!My suggestion to future patrons would be to plan your visit around the shows. Don’t just show up in the middle of the afternoon. We walked in blindly and missed a huge number of shows and (trust me!you want to see the shows! Both my friend and I would go back again, but earlier in the day to take everything in.Bonus: parking is FREE!Bonus, Bonus: they have a fantastic military discount for adults!
We loved, you feel like you’re in Jerusalem! Lots of sitting, handicapped areas, lots of plays. You’ll love it, worth every cent
The few stories we were able to visit were incredible. My heart was touched beyond words. Definitely a great experience! I would love to come back and get the entire experience.
The name says it all! This was a theatrical experience unlike any other. As if the real life replicas which takes you back in time to the place where it all happened, making you feel like you were there with a front row seat to it all wasnt enough. The actors and actresses were nothing less than phenomenal! Their vocal abilities and harmonizing will blow you away! Beautifully done. Very well put together. Very detailed and informative. The staff also did a great job on informing/ directing a large crowd of guests so you dont miss the next episode in the story at the next location. Great food and snacks!
The Holy Land experience is a christian based theme park located in Orlando, Florida. The Holy land experience is owned by Trinity Broadcasting Network. The Holy Land experience features a wide range of live stage productions, bible story experiences, and lots more.Tickets are quite affordable say about $50 or less considering all the wonderful things you will see. There different sections in the park like : Bethany, Theater of life, smile of a child adventure land, Lazarus house, church of all nations to mention a few. Its no doubt a lovely tourist destination to visit anytime you are in Florida.
The shows are great but I wish there was a little more to the park. Things to do that are a little more fun and entertaining. Maybe some games they might have played back then. Nothing much for the little kids and big kids.
Awesome place. My daughter got to speak to "Jesus" and he did a literal scene from the Bible where he taught her the prayer of repentance. Powerful experience when be called all the children to say the prayer of repentance.
If you love performance this place was amazing! They had a LOT of performances. My wife and I were there open to close and we saw almost every show. They have a really cool museum that talks about the history of the bible. That was a must for me and gives a little break from all the shows. The food was good and reasonably priced. If I had anything negative to say it there isnt much to much do do if you are not interested in seeing the shows.
Traveled to Orlando just to see the Holy Land and what a wonderful experience it was! A must see for sure for everyone! 2 days needed to be able to see all events.
This place is AMAZING.When I took my family to The Holy Land Experience I thought we were going to be there for just two hours, tops. Much to my surprise, we were there all day. Theres just so much to see and do. So much to learn, so much to experience from kids to adults. As a thespian myself, I absolutely loved their theatrical performances; the productions were on point. The model of the city of Jerusalem was very impressive, as was the Bible museum. And heres a tip... If youve found that you didnt have enough time in one day, you can go back again the next day with the same tickets (for half price). For example:Day 1 - $50 per adultDay 1 - $35 per child (5 and older)Day 2 - $25 per adultDay 2 - $17.50 per child (5 and older)NB: You must still have the same tickets from the previous day, in order to receive the discount.I would recommend for everyone to "experience" The Holy Land Experience at least once.
You will be blessed! Absolutely loved this place and you will too. The Holy Land Experience have excellent actors and shows. You may find yourself shedding a tear and will cause you to think seriously. Some of the shows (crucifixtion scenemay be a bit loud and graphic for small children. However, their is a playground/activity area for children.
I have a hard time with The Holy Land Experience. Is it a church or a theme park? It takes the tax exemption of a church (making it legal by offering 1 or more days per year with no entry fee). They seem to assume everyone who goes here is already a Christian. You may see the person playing Jesus (and otherswalking around praying with visitors. It seems expected that you will spend a largest part of your day here watching a movie/production in the largest building. Im sorry...I slept though most of it.I am a Christian and I enjoyed most of the vignettes where players performed biblical stories. But Im just left with this strange feeling that this place is a weird mix of the secular and the religious. Then I start questioning myself (like, why do I think this way?).Free parking. Clean. Nowhere near as busy as any other theme park. Large model of the Jerusalem area with a person who explains it very well.
They use the word experience for a reason. If you get to Orlando, do yourself a favor and make a day for the Holy Land. You will be amazed. The productions are so well done, they bring you right back to biblical times. We go whenever were in town because they change stories every time. And a day to God is always a good day.
I was able to visit with a group of ladies on a trip to Florida. That is such a beautiful place loved it. I will bring my family back. The plays are anointed and really touch my the heart. My favorite one was "The Empire and the kingdom".
70x7 WOWs at this compact Christian theme park. Performances (acting and musicwere great. However, some artistic license. Filled the full day. Get there as soon as the park opens.
We came here during the low season where the crowd is manageable. The staff here is completely friendly and helpful to ensure that our time here is both enriching and enjoyable. The programme was well organised with the time spaced out, we spent the whole day going from one musical to the next enjoying the whole theme park. The singers sang with passion and conviction. We saw one of the singers shed tears when he sang! Everything was done professionally and yet there is a family atmosphere. Some of the staff have been working here for many years. My wife was prayed for by the “Jesus” that walks around the theme park. There was another older lady that I call “Mama Jewell” who was totally blind and woke up healed by God. She gives hope for people who are expecting a miracle. One couple said this is much better than going to Disney! This place is a hidden treasure that people need to seek out and make sure that they come.#HolyLandExp
This place is so amazing. Its like going into the Bible. Its beautiful. I fo wish they had a few choices of places to eat however the shows were show good.
Although the shows were great, it was close to impossible to get see shows with limited seats. People who visited werent very refined and sometimes rude to each other. Very ironic!
We came to celebrate my moms 70 Birthday. The place was beautiful and the food was good. The musical plays could have been a whole lot better. The songs were very dry and we started to fall asleep.
Lovely experience of bringing the Bible to life. Very affordable. $50 - $40 military discount. Delicious giant turkey leg for $7. Parking is FREE. Souvenirs at a bargain price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A MUST experience for all.
My family and I took my grandmother for her birthday. This place was truly amazing. The theatrical production and singers were outstanding. I suggest to arrive when they open to make sure you can see all the shows! We had a young man named Taylor that was extremely helpful, pushed my grandmothers wheel chair to the show, showed us were to purchase a blanket when she was cold and even saw us later on in the park and checked in with us again. I would recommend this place!!
The musical drama is award winning for a clear reason! This is where the money is spent and it cannot be missed! The land is sort of running down in places, but still clean and pretty, nothing that children would notice. The show is worth the cost of admission. Very well done beautiful costumes and singing! The man who plays Jesus is wonderful! Also the extra money for a special tour of the ark and Temple in the desert was worth it the "priest" was knowledgeable and kind.Overall great experience! Kids loved it may go back for Christmas show
We pass by the place all the time, and one day there was a free entry promotion and we went to see how it looks like. The place is beautiful from the outside and the inside, Free parking and there is not much to see inside beside the show which was nice and the actors were good. But to be honest it is over priced, I am glad that we figured that with the free entry 😊
Best experience of my life. It might of well had been the real thing as far as Im concerned. The time and effort in creating such a closely modeled rendition of what really happened over 2000 years ago was outstanding! The exhibits are beautiful, all the actors, singers, and every staff member is extremely talented and gracious! I feel blessed to have been able to visit the Holy Land Experience. It really does bring the Bible to life.
Awesome place to take family and friends. The live shows are awesome to watch. It’s very relaxing to walk around the lake and flower garden. They have an area for kids to play at certain times. Great place!
Fabulous. Well worth it. Extremely well done. Get the backstage Tabernacle tour. Stay till close. Thanks for staying true to Scripture. GREAT acting and singing in the plays.
The staff was immensely helpful navigating guests to important events. Their appreciation to participate in the work presented here was apparent in every aspect.
What an amazing thing to do in Orlando area! My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our day here!! The Tabernacle was informational and help enlarge my knowledge of the reasons and why of it! Loved the biblical love story of Boaz and Ruth! How nice in a wicked world of lust and divorce, to have a biblical love story for your young children to pattern after!!
Loved it awesome actors love how they tell the story but add some humor when its appropriate... Thinking of planning a trip for my youth to come and learn ... If you really want to get the full experience come for 2 days there is a lot to do and learn here!!!
It was an over - enjoyable day of watching the stories in the bible come to life. Felt like I stepped back into what life was like in Jesus time. Friendly actors and beautiful decor. If you show up 2 minutes late to a show, you cant watch it. Make sure you go all day, dont want to miss any of the shows!
It’s a FULL day of liveperformances. There’s snacks, sandwiches, beverages, gift shops.Ticket prices- adult $50Children prices availableParking freeEasy access right off Interstate 4.Food - $15 =sandwich, 2 sides, drinkPerformances were of high quality. Staff dressed in costumes were available throughout the park for assistance and they were friendly.Live camels at manger scene.Comfortable seats in the auditorium. At the end of the day during the Meet the Cast - we had so much fun - they interacted with the crowd dancing, singing, and playing music.GREAT DAY!Yes we enjoyed it.Yes, we were blessed by the Christian atmosphere. Positive experience for this group.****Plan a full day if you want to see all of the performances****
I was apart of our church group. The experience was so real that it was as if I had stepped back in time. The time depictions were vivid. It was as if I was there at the actual crucifixion and resurrection. The mothers grief was felt by everyone in the groups. There was authenticity in the clothing that was worn by the people. The Roman Soldiers were authentic looking and sounded like what I imagined they did when Jesus walked the earth.
Good reenactment of the crucifixion of Christ. Nice gift shop, great theater show/musical with great actors and beautiful voices. Area for kids enjoyment. Great detail of the citys, pictures just cant do it justice must go see for your self.
