Stopped in for a quick drink and snack and the food was excellent.

4th time visiting! We absolutely have to stop here each time visiting Bermuda! Cool atmosphere, great service and amazing food! I already cant wait til next time to come back.on our visit!

Amazing food! The fish and chips dish was huge (split it!And the best I have ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Not a full 5 stars because the restaurant was a bit warm- especially when you are trying to escape the Bermuda heat! Overall would recommend for the food and service

The bartender made us both a dark and stormy. The drinks were great and the conversation with him was great as well. Every place we went in Bermuda, we were treated friendly. This place was no different. Will return when in Bermuda again.

Nice traditional British pub in the center of Hamilton just meters from Front Street. Very nice staff and good food and drinks. Recommended.

Food was great. We had dinner here twice and both times were great. Definitely preferred sitting outside. The weekend gets quite busy.

We arrived at the Penny just around 1.30pm. We were promptly escorted to our outdoor table where we could see the Viking Orion in the Hamilton dock.The waiter took our drinks order shortly after seating us. Service was fast and the wait staff were pleasant. We both ordered the Chicken Masala. The portion sizes were large enough that I was able to eat and leave some for a 2nd meal when I got home.

The first time we came we had 2 star service!, I let the manager know and our second visit was 200 % better. Nathan gave exemplary service and we will surly return! They restored my faith in the Hog Penny!!!!

Best Fish Chowder! Highly recommend. Must have with the Sherry Pepper sauce and Black Rum. I look forward to my next visit and will definitely come back for the chowder.

We stopped here after a local’s recommendation. I’ll have to say, without a doubt I had the best calamari I’ve ever had in my entire life here. The mixed drinks were delicious, so was our meal. The staff was wonderful, and mama joe was a delight. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious food! This was a great place to stop after a long day-- comfort food and friendly and attentive service. The fish chowder was incredible and my husband said the fish & chips were perfect. Our only small complaint: we found the cocktails to be a little pricey compared to other similar places in town.

When visiting Bermuda, youve got to go to the Hog Penny restaurant! Amazing Irish pub style food, welcoming ambiance and entertainment during the weekend. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Bermuda!

This place is a good bar to stop by and grab a drink after a meal. The bartender is very friendly and will tell you all sorts of stories. It is open until a bit late and the prices are good. We met a couple of drunk Portuguese constructors that made the night a bit more fun, crazy guys. Good place to hang out with buddies

Great place to stop in for a drink or a bite to eat. Friendly patrons and staff. Drafts and bottles are available. Plenty of seating but bar seats are usually full. Not difficult to get a drink. Live music at night and lots of TVs for watching matches and sporting events. Half a block from Front street, walking distance from any place in Hamilton and just up the street from the flag pole.

Stopped by for a quick drink during "Harbor Night" while waiting for the last ferry back to the cruise port. Our bartender Steven was fun and accommodating. There was a guitar vocalist on the small stage offering to play backup to your live karaoke endeavors. His song catalog was not very current or extensive but he passed it around. I think its a fun place. Try it out!

Came here on our cruise and stopped by for a drink. Great place for a drink - and the bartender was terrific! We didnt eat, but the food looked and smelled delicious. Street is fairly steep, if you have mobility challenges it can be tough, but its not far up the road (about the shops in).

We rode our moped to Hamilton and asked a local (guy wearing Burmuda shorts, knee socks and dress shoeswhere the best place to eat Bermudian Fish Chowder was. He recommended this place. We ordered onion rings (Bermudas local exportand Bermudian Fish Chowder. Both were excellent and the service was super friendly and helpful. Our waiter explained that we should add sherry and rum to the fish chowder. We did and it made it even better! Like most places in Bermuda, the prices are higher than comparable places in the United States. The atmosphere is pub simple but the food and service were both amazing!

first time to Bermuda. went to this place because it was close and because of the reviews. we had the chowder and the Maui sandwich. food was at best mediocre. the service was good. for a quick bit it was ok

The food was bar food. We order a few items that were different then bar food and they were not goos. We ordered the cheddar and apple salad and the chicken bhumi tikka. Both were average. We also did drinks which were bermuda coffee it was average and a flight of beer, which was great. We did order beer fries and those were amazing. We also tried escargot and it was great. So recommend sticking to bar food here. Customer service was poor. The gentlemen was the least friendliest waiter we have had un bermuda and not attentive at all. They were busy as it was trivia night on a sunday night around 7pm. The trivia was fun.

Great little boozer, bit of a local pub, could do with more draft lagers but a good selection of bottled lagers. Bar staff are fantastic. Great entertainment in the evenings. Havent eaten here yet so will update once I have.

Its fine. Nothing to write home about. Their chowder was pretty decent. The staff so-so. The beer a solid "meh". If you like things average, this is the place for you.

A delicious restaurant off the beaten path, I highly recommend it. I ordered a pot pie, which was a delicious flaky crust, served with steamed veggies and fries. I would certainly come again, and recommend you do as well.

Being a foodie and spoiled with excellent food at home I searched high and low for the best places in Bermuda. This place having some of the best ratings I gave it a shot and I was not disappointed. If you want delicious food cooked to perfection then look no further. Dined here twice in one day, brunch and dinner, and both times was extremely satisifed with the food AND service. Highly recommend

This was our second trip to Bermuda. We had a great lunch at the Hog Penny on our last trip in 2010, and pleased to find it was just as good in 2018. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.

Late and overdue review. After walking around Bermuda, we decide to sit down and eat at the Hog Penny. Atmosphere was ok, dark and cozy. My daughter and son loves the Mac and cheese balls. Everything else we had was just ok.

We went to dinner here with 2 other couples after reading great online reviews. Maybe it was an off night but our experience was just meh. Service was friendly but drinks and food were slow. To me this was average Irish pub fare. 3 of us had fish and chips which were tasty. My husband has a gluten allergy and there are no gluten free options so he went with lamb chops. They were more like loli-chops as they were tiny. Chicken pot pie looked amazing. Those that had shepherds pie swore it was identical to what was served at Flannigans, I cant confirm nor deny those rumors. Several tried the recommended toffee pudding, no one in the group liked it. Overall average experience and with so many other options in Hamilton we didnt return and most likely wouldnt elect to.

This is one of the older places on the island. The rum Swizzle was absolutely delicious and it was one of my first. The staff was helpful as I learned how to maneuver in my extended stay. It just happened to be Harbor nights when we were there so they recommended we stay and enjoy the continued entertainment.

Service was good. Jambalaya was good, but the dark and stormy fish was too die for! Whatever the sauce is... Is amazing! We also had the butterscotch pudding. Totally not what we expected, but tasty nonetheless.

Excellent dining choice. Best seafood chowder on the island. Very hearty fare, but the prices are a little hefty too. Highly recommend. Extensive menu with a wide variety of flavours. Pleasant decor and a very welcoming atmosphere. You’ll remember this place. It’s a favourite.

This is a must visit, if you are in Hamilton. The decor is vintage and the vibe is definitely chill. The beer selection is good and the prices are pretty much on par with the rest of Bermuda. Service was quick and attentive. The food is hearty pub grub with good size portions.

Just love their blackened shrimp cooked to perfection! Reasonable prices for being an island. We went here for lunch Joanna the Lunch Manager greeted us like old friends and gave us a table. The waitstaff are also friendly. The place is old and warm..

The food is acceptable but nothing to write home about. Local beer is great. If you need a quick bite in a pub environment, Hog Penny fits your needs.

You cant come to Hamilton Bermuda and not stop in The Hog Penny for some local ambiance. Great Pub atmosphere, several beers on draft. They pour us pints not Imperial pints, FYI. Interesting Decor on the walls, and have a chat with your bartender... Lots of great recommendations and local info.Came here over 30 years ago on honeymoon, the place has barely changed, except now they have WiFi LOL. Definitely can recommend the shepherds pie and the excellent fish and chips. Good place to try the local seafood chowder, make sure to add some of the local Sherry pepper vinegar.

Had a very good chicken pot pie that was clearly made there and not a pre-made frozen dinner. Good selection of beers. A bit tight on space but very old and authentic feeling.

Wonderful food and drinks were stellar. If you like mojitos, then the Dark n Stormy Hogito will be your new favourite. Prices were pretty good (for Bermudaand the interior is comfortable and casual. We did have an issue with our dessert (left too long in the fridgebut the manager and server were extremely apologetic and gave us a discount, which shows they care about their customers and reputation. Aside from the dessert, I would go back for the food and drinks.

Hard to find food on Bermuda for a Vegan. This place had a delicious, made in house, black bean burger. They serve locally brewed craft beer as well. Simple pub, smallish on the inside. Went only once, and at an odd hour so there was no issue with crowds.
