The Hobart Central Car Park - Car Park in Hobart, Australia
The Hobart Central Car Park in Hobart
Description
Very good space
Crowd and lovery place
My choice of car park for ease and convenience.
The Hobart parking officers are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Its a nice place to park however, the sign out the front is never accurate and inside where the other signs are never quite right I hope that they can fix this issue in the near future!! The location is a little hard to find until you know the city well however, its got a nice clean look and is otherwise pretty good
MoreEasy parking
Easy parking, can get abit expensive.
Great place to park for a few hours shopping in town. I parked there while I attended a work training session.
MoreI miss the extra long free parking
It’s easier to find a space here on weekdays
A convenient carpark 400+ spaces, and not as tight as some of the others.
Nicely sloped parking with acceptable fees
Its. Carpark that often has available spots not far from the library and other shops
MoreA great car park! Nice facilities and friendly staff. Parking space is generous and a lot better than some car parks with usually always a park!
MoreNeed to adjust their opening hours to suit others needs. 6.30 close is bit limiting. Why not make it 9.30pm?
MoreIts so handy right in middle of city after a minutes walk
Good walking distance to most shops and places I wanted to visit.
Central / easy access / only in peak morning will there be a short wait
Its a great car park - convenient, large, wide spaces, excellent access. This would all be super - except that the HCC somehow consider this a COVID-19 risk and closed it about 6 weeks ago. There is NOTHING on the HCC website to indicate this, and Google still says its open - but it is NOT!Why cant it open, and if not, why cant HCC make this info known? I was late for an appointment today because I assumed it was open and then had to find a 1 hour meter, which was not that easy!
MoreIts in the city centre and parking is free for 1.5 hour stay. If you want to stay over 2 hours or for 3 hours, its I think about $2 to $5. Cant remember exactly.
MoreFirst 1.5 hours is free parking. Big car park with around 400 car spaces.
Tight squeeze for large vehicles. But quieter than Argyle Street.
A carpark. Operated by Hobart City Council. Very convenient.
A good carpark to use when shopping in the CBD. A lot easier to get in than the other carparks.
MoreGood place to park when in the city, central n first 90 minutes are free
Nice place to park close to the city
Let cars in but the only free spaces were for disabled parking and one other that had cones in it, I was one of 4 people (1 Infront and 2 behind medrove in all the way to the top, turned around and all the way out without finding a park.
MoreAn excellent car park! Many levels! You receive a ticket on entry & pay on leaving! Bestparking facility in Hobart!
MoreGreat handy spot in Hobart. .head straight there.
This is my go to car park for town as I live in Lenah Valley. Easy to access, parking free for the first 90 mins and easy to actually park your car. 1 unrelated gripe - people who drive in the car park with headlights on..turn the darn things OFF!
MoreCentral carpark close to Hospital, Shops and Supermarket
Plentiful parking for both regular and early bird.
Ample of parking space with first hour free
Turnover rates are high since first 1.5 hours is free.
Early bird tickets are available first thing in the morning, usually 7:45 - 8:20 ish. Fairly convenient if you have to park right in the city. This car park is very narrow with sharp turns. Most drivers are not capable of making the turns at a reasonable pace without crossing over the line. I think there must be a lot of collisions happen by people not taking the corners correctly. Please beware if you have a large car and come to this car park.Otherwise, this is great in terms of location and early bird parking.
MoreExcellent place is your have an EV and want to charge, just dont take my park next to the wall!
MoreLove their coffees and food.
Free or cheap parking on the weekends
Good central carpark, reasonable rates
Best car park in Hobart. Wide car park spaces, two electric charge stations, out of the hustle and bustle of Liverpool st, Argyle St and Collins St block. My go to car park.
Moregood location, very cramped and dark, first 90 minutes free for cars
Best car park in town. Council operated and easy to get to with plenty of room and easy access to the city. First hour and a half is free.
MoreReally good if you have an electric car, they have two free j1772 chargers on the ground floor and the spaces are kept free of internal combustion cars. It would be Really Great if they had a Chademo DC fast charger as well, they would charge my car in 30 minutes. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
MoreForced to work in town. No other option than to park here. On top of driving an hour each way $100 a week parking and $110 in fuel I may as well stay home.
MoreFirst hour and a half free. Need i say more.
yiew. perfect for the Sunday Markets
Handy but not very big
Best high raised carpark in Hobart. Big spaces, ease of access.
Only one block from city centre, better layout than other options. Use it every time.
MoreNot quite as central as the name suggests but often easier to get a spot.
