Its been years since I last been to Russia and The Hat Bar. Still vibrant and special 😊💙

I found this place occasionally and I was happy that I got into this atmosphere! It was a very good jazz played by musicians!

Great jazz bar tough did not understand how waiters establish prices, you have ot a menu, so the price is up to the waiter, how ever nice guys working there and do a good job. Cocktails are just ok. Atmosphere is cozy very in the style of spb.

Probably its a good place, but I dont like jazz

We were walking down the street and bumped into this place. I got a red sport suit and sneakers on me, so the bouncer lad wasn’t very enthusiastic about letting me in, but then he talked to the manager inside and granted the access. The bar was on fire after 10 p.m., the crowd was high by the performance and expanding progressively and the music itself changed the pace and style throughout the night giving everybody really good ol’ time.The entry price is about four usd per visitor, for which the lad puts a token of the same value in you hand, which can be exchanged in the bar. The cocktails are very nice in quality and generous in volume.I’ll be back soon definitely, and in more appropriate style next time I guess.

Excellent atmosphere if youre looking for some authentic jazz. No food though, so be ready to spend a couple hours with nothing but drinks and tunes. Also, very small space so arrive early

Now, this place is truly unique. Its one of those traditional and local culture ones. If you are into jazz you need to drop by.Everyday they have two sets of jazz bands playing live. You never know what banf is up today. Just come and soak in the atmosphere while sipping on some cocktail or nice beer

This is the place where all the local jazz musicians plus any visiting jazz artists come to jam after their other gigs, starting at 20:00 until approximately 2:00. It’s a “must experience” kind of place in Saint Petersburg. Yes, it gets crowded, but that’s part of the charm. You are suddenly thrust into the whole experience of this city and the warm, interesting, artistic vibrations of the people. The drinks are excellent and strong. Billy Novik (one of the ownersmay be there and he is a good fellow to talk with, very kind and intelligent. You would never know that he is the guy who performs in front of 10,000 people sometimes.

Arrogant and blatant staff, poor selection of drinks. Strongly not recommending.

Its a good place to drink one cocktail, listen live jazz music and spend the rest of the night in another place. It is very small, there are no tables only a few stool chairs around the bar. There are not waitresses so you have to order directly from de bartender which is difficult because all the people is sitting around it and have to make an effort to reach the bartender and wait a lot to get your order.It is so crowded that there is a point that everybody is standing and it is impossible to move around with your drink.Even though there are great jazz groups performing.

I love this place but not at weekends 😁.. Too many people at very small space.. Impossible to relax.. But within the week - perfect atmosphere, cocktails and bartender..

Great unique bar! If you love music or especially jazz — this is a must visit place. But be prepared to stand or come a early, this is the gimmick of this place.

This place is lit!!! Be sure, if you walk in on a weekend night, you will not leave until the bands playing here exhaust their entire playlist.

Good music, people. Wish they had something interesting for people whos not addicted to alcohol.

Friday night. Midnight. Busy, almost couldnt find a place to stand. Three piece rhythm section with rotating sax players / singers soloing through standards. By 1:30 half the crowd had left, there were places to sit, and the band was playing more interesting stuff. A friend told me that if I stayed till 3 it might get really interesting.Great cocktails, cool vibe, friendly bouncer, everybody was welcome

Great, but barmans (may be only onetrying to trick you, and dont give change (money back with a big bill)

Too crowded. Its a tiny place. The music is not bad, but you can hardly enjoy it or see the musicians over the crowd.

Lovely jazz place with live music playing from 11pm till ~1am. The drinks are decent although not very cheap. Definitely worth coming there for the live music and a couple of cocktails.

The place has amazing live Jazz music. The drinks are reasonably priced. Sometimes the place gets crowded, so if you want to get a seat you better get there atleast 30mins prior to the love music start, its usually after 11pm and lasts until 1am so you might have to resort to get a taxi to get back home, as metro stations might be closed usually.

The place seems to be nice all in all but the night we went on into... Cacaphony, not a jam session...we first thought we ought give em some time, but nope, even after 1h30 it was still a total nonsens. Not only every musician was tearing the blanket on himsel, they were very untuned players even separately taken, as to our amateur ear, going to jazz places in Paris once two months. We left thinking that either we were just very unlucky (given the seasonor that theres simply not much jazz culture in the city/country.

Small friendly bar with good music live and good drinks

Great atmosphere and great live music, all very informal. Musicians are practically playing next to you as there isnt really a stage. This adds to the enjoyment.

This is not the Jazz club. I went to here 4 times. Only the first time was good. The other opportunities were very crowded and too noisy to listen to Jazz music.

Fun spot with perfect drinks and nice atmosphere. It’s like a little New Orleans in the middle St. Petersburg.

Nice place. Enjoyed the live music. Had to pay entrance fee but got it back in "credit" when buying drinks. Prices were higher than most other places I visited. However, crowd more sophisticated, nice music and my Gin Tonic was okay. Will visit again with more suitable friends.

Brautiful little place a lot of charm and character. Had a bunch of local jazz artists playing and having fun when we visited. The prices are very reasonable and the bartenders are very nice. The crowd is young and fun. Definitely a place Id recommend. There are other bars/clubs and restaurants within walking distance too if you decide to go the barhopping route.

They play live music and drinks arent bad. Pity that there arent enough tables for medium groups.

Is a must place in Spb for all live jazz music lovers. They have performances every evening and its different bands or just different musicians playing together. Really nice place to spend an evening :)

A great bar to spend the evening till past midnight with a good range of drinks and a fantastic lineup of musicians. They play pure and high quality jazz you rarely find anywhere else.

Great jazz bar famous for Russian musician Billy Novik. Many jazz gigs and jam sessions almost every night. Good selection of beers and hard liquors. Also has a raised sitting place to watch and listen the performances.

No shaken or stripped cocktails, but great live music almost every night and great atmosphere as well! Definetely I would come again for some whiskey and music!

Great jazz music. Drinks are pricey, but plentiful. This bar seems to have more of an expat feel to it than local- heard more English from the patrons than any other language.

Its not a club, there are not a lot of place to dance. But you can listen a good jazz-music by best musicans of the city. You can find here a great atmosphere of 60th old americans jazz-bars.Middle price for a drinks: ~250-500 rub.Start jam-session: ~23:00

Local jazz bar with great jams nightly. Busy, loud, smokey. Hipsters, expats, bogema. Cocktails are quite pricely, but they dont have admission fee. Recomended.
