47 Chandos Pl, Charing Cross, London WC2N 4HS, Kinkala
Traditional pub on 2 floors with stained-glass windows, hand-pulled real ale, cider and sausages.
Fun, local pub to grab beers and socialize.
Perfect. The beer place
Cask ales served in a comfortable and homey pub. Great bartender.
Proper old school London pub, top beer and amazing bar staff who love at the speed of light to get the drinks out. Love it, normally standing room only.
The Harp is a great pub especially if you like or want to try some really good real ale, its compact and can get crowded when busy, but its a traditional British pub, no music or sky TV or anything like that, just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy. Highly recommended.
One of the best traditional pubs in Central London with a great selection of ales.
Cracking cost old world bar. Proper little boozer. Great selection of beers on tap. Ideal spot for day drinkingCARMA discounts
Excellent pub on the edge of Covent Garden. Fantastic range of hand pulled ales, amongst other alcoholic drinks.
Was wandering home from watching the Queens funeral procession and luckily came across this gem.I love finding London pubs Ive not tried before, especially the cosy Victorian ones. I only stopped for a pint of Guinness, the service was quick despite the crowds and the Guinness was well poured with plenty of time left for it to settle. Its got a real charm to it has the harp. Ill be sure to drop by again for another pint or two.
Nice upstairs seating area. Unfortunately you have to walk up and down the stairs to and from the bar! Doesnt stop it being a nice pub for a drink or two.
One of my favourite pubs in London. Great selection of beers and always a friendly crowd plus lots of spaces to stand outside and enjoy the air.
Excellent central London pub for real ale enthusiasts. Always a fine selection. Give their pork scratchings a try.
Although a bit small and crowded a great selection of beers including London Porter. Definitely recommended.
Elderflower cider is excellent. Great pub, friendly locals, unmatchable aesthetic
This is a diamond of a pub. Small, cosy, with a lovely old interior and a fantastic range of beers on tap and pump (with a 10% CAMRA discount for members). Particularly nice is the enormous display of pump clips all plastered above the bar. Lovely staff too. Big thumbs up!
The best pub in London for real ale. Nowhere else does cask beer taste anywhere near as good. Great staff and interesting crowd.
Great pub and great beer. Cozy, intimate and only the sound from the people in the pub creates a pleasant atmosphere
Super selection of ciders in the fridge basically in plastic bags within tupperware boxes but absolutely stunning. Worth walking 28 minutes for, just for the selection of ciders
Poor selection of beers even though it was recommended by a top 10. Great staff. Gross toilets.
The harp is a great little pub in a great location. Really good selection of beers on tap and the staff are quick and friendly. It can get a bit busy but nice when it’s quiet. Good outside space at the back standing in the alleyway.
Best pub in London for proper beer, staff amazing but get there early, it gets busy
A very good place to drink real ale traditional styles! Mandatory for the lovers of these old styles
Excellent pub with brilliant selection of different beers. You could spend a good few hours here!!
Great little traditional pub between Covent garden and trafalgar Square. With a large open window looking on to the street, where in the summer you could happily sit and people watch most of the day. Limited seating.
A very good Tricky dry cider, and got a seat for a quiet drink, which is good going for this area. Only drawback is the £6.50/pint.
Friendly, kind and hospitable staff, not tomention Patrice the security guard, who is a living salsa legend. It’s not often you visit a central London pub and immediately feel part of the furniture. We’ve decided this is our new regular.
A little gem, tucked away just off the mayhem of the Strand, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Sq. I was shocked that such a pub could exist so central! A proper drinkers pub. Real Ale for days. Lovely staff.
Has to be one of the best pubs in Central London, great choice of beer and great atmosphere!
Great choice of real ales in this small gem of a pub. Gets very busy as its reputation is so well established.
Busy, popular bar with a large range of real ales. As a small pub, it can become crowded at times, but perseverance will be rewarded.
Nice pub with amazing atmosphere, definitely worth the visit
Popular pub in Covent Garden. Well known amongst beer tourists who come to try a traditional British ale. It gets very busy in the downstairs bar area but sometimes theres more space upstairs. Ale is always kept exceptionally well although the beer choice isnt always the most interesting.
Fun pub with lots of coasters on the wall. Fast friend staff. Pretty small area near the bar. Good for street view people watching
Very authentic British pub, great selection and atmosphere, everything I wanted in a pub and more.
Small popular bar.Well worth a visit, great real ale. Although often crowded its worth squeezing in. Has a friendly mixture of tourists and Londoners. In the current CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2022, I always visit when in London.
Awesome CAMRA orientated pub which has long been a favourite of those in the know, it stands head and shoulders above nearby competitors through its great beer selection, prompt service and quirky interior. Attracts a more discerning, mature and interesting crowd
Great little pub. Limited seating on ground level, but there is an upper floor lounge area too. Well kept range of beers. Real ale & craft. Good, friendly service too. Always a port of call for us when in London.
Long one of Londons best pubs for real ale Im delighted to see it open again. Very well organised from the moment you walk in and are guided to a table (nice touch to ask you to look at the beers as you pass the bar). Table service provided and the pint of Jaipur I had was in excellent condition.Whereas in previous visits you could barely move, its a sad reflection of current events that barely every table was taken on an early Wednesday evening. But Ill certainly return when in central London again.
Being a regular visitor to the Harp for 20+years (our London local even though we are from Cheshire!). We were excited to see it was open again. Now a Fullers pub (not sure when this happenedbut still the same welcome and A1 London Pride perfect serve... show your support for this gorgeous London local
The Harp was the Evening Standards Best Pub in London 2019 - and I’m not going to disagree! Located en route from Charring Cross to Covent Garden, it attracts both tourists and those who know its reputation for real ales - so it’s rarely quiet. The small exterior is very pretty - adorned with flowers and with stained glass windows that open fully in the summer. Despite the small frontage, the interior extends far enough back from the street to accommodate a reasonably large amount of customers. There is also a small room upstairs and a passage out the back - although many people spill out into the street.Although the pub is now owned by Fullers there are always at least a half dozen real ales available from independent brewers. Food appears to be mainly freshly cooked sausages served in bread rolls.Sometimes I’m put off by how busy it gets - but you can’t blame people for wanting to visit - it is a great pub!
A good selection of ciders and ales, plus a second floor nook oozing with atmosphere makes the Harp one of the best pubs in London. But dont take my word for it (really, dont).
A great pub, hidden away in plain sight! Covent Garden, the Strand, Trafalgar Square, it does not matter, you are practically here! Great beer, wonderful staff and a superb place to stop off for a pint. Judging by the badges, every pint ever brewed must have been sold here at some point. Pop in and keep the dream going.
Great beers on tap and an excellent range that I couldnt elsewhere. Really good and quick service in a pub that has a lot of character that wasnt sacrificed for better profits - a real value proposition to try.Upstairs are the bathrooms and some more seats if standing up in the narrow venue is not your style. Not sure about food yet but Ill update it once Im back.Loved it and absolutely recommend it to everyone.
My favorite Pub in London. Beautiful from the outside and amazing decoration on the inside. The atmosphere is great! also it was the freshest beer I had in London. 10/10
Great London pub. Packed, but the is an alley or the back that is nice to stand around and hang out in in the weather is decent. A ton of lovely beers on tap. Good wine here too actually.
Fantastic helpful staff who were knowledgeable about all of the beers on tap, which were plentiful. Interesting offerings too, probably the most complex of the English style beers I had in England. Great place for conversation as well and a pleasantly varied client base too. Not raucous but lively
Proper pub! Excellent vibe and first class selection of beers. And Harvey’s bitter! Only downside is the that the toilets are upstairs via a narrow winding staircase. I always vowed I wouldn’t drink in a pub with upstairs toilets but....
A bit of a country side pub feel in the central London. Even though the place looked completely packed in the first floor, they have a "not-so-hidden" quiet section on the second floor whit some great chairs. Possibly the best bar in London to get fresh cask ales.
Great selection of beer. Popular place but limited seating. People stand around outside with their drinks. Great location close to Trafalgar Square although a bit tucked away. The staff is very courteous and helpful and always upbeat. There is room upstairs but it is a bit of a climb up narrow stairs and kind of small with zero ambience. Consequently it is nicer to just hang around outside with your drinks especially if the weather is conducive.
This is one of the best pubs in central London. The beer comes in many varieties with the cask beer always in excellent condition. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and, though usually its only standing room, theres a great atmosphere. A pub not to be missed. Tip: Theres actually a cool seating area upstairs.
