The Hare & Hounds - Pub in Piripiri, Brazil
We had Sunday lunch for twelve to celebrate a friends 60th and while I have eat there many times over the years, last Sundays meal was the best Sunday Lunch I have had for ages. The roast beef was perfectly cooked and tender with all the trimmings as was the starter and pudding. Everyone was impressed.Thank you The Hare.
Very nice and friendly nice atmosphere good beers e.t.c.
The Sunday roast was enjoyed immensely by everyone in our party, as were the desserts (of which there is a great selection). Staff are very friendly and swift service.
Great atmosphere. Good service. Great vegan options. Starter portions were small for the price but overall really good.
Nice pub and restaurant. Very tasty food good service friendly staff.
The Hare is accredited by Coeliac UK and as someone with coeliac disease its amazing to eat somewhere where the food is fantastic, theres a huge gluten free menu with a wide variety of choices and I feel safe eating there.New favourite place to eat!
Had a bit of a wait for a lite lunch. Very nice when we got it.
Came here for a family gatheringWas told to pre order due to large tableBut they never sent it even though we chased it up after waiting 2.5 days to get through on the phoneArrived on the day todayTaken 3 hrs just to serve one course an over hours wait for dessertsFood ok but sadly service was awful
Come here and now and then as kids were/are at local school. Lovely old Victorian House and good food. Nice team.
One of the best pubs around for food, and service is always good
1st visit, nice place, good food and good service.Had run out of a desert choice, but the custard went well with 2nd choice. Will definitely visit again 👍
Lovely food but very slow service.Check your bill as we were charged for a large bottle instead of a small bottle of sparkling water.Prices have increased so much. Its sadly not reasonable.
Came for a Sunday dinner, food was lovely, staff and friendly and it’s got a lovely vibe. The vegan starter and main options are great but they fumble with the deserts so if you’re looking for an all rounder be prepared for a classic sorbet which is absolutely fine but given the effort for the starters and mains - just felt like it’s missed opportunity. Otherwise everyone I was with who had non-vegan food loved it. So can’t fault the place really!!
Lovely place to sit outside. Perfect English country pub. Lovely food
Husbands food excellent apart from veg. Asked for mixed veg without cabbage - got mixed veg with cabbage. My food waa just OK. Service poor. Staff more interested in chatting to themselves. Had to keep attracting their attention if wanted anything but to be fair once we got their attention they were polite & very helpful.
Stopped in for lunch which was really nice. Great menu with a good range of beverages to accompany your meal be it lunch or dinner. Very clean inside and out with ample parking. Great location when passing through this area.
Nice pub, plenty of light. A bit difficult to get to the bar as there are too many man sitting at the bar blocking the way. Good tables to sit at, okay atmosphere.
Food was average. They really scrimped on the food , even though the prices have gone up.Quite disappointed really.Would have told our waitress at the time, but she never asked how our food was because she saw my face when she put it down.Cant fault the pub visually though.Lovely venue.
Fantastic in the summer time thanks to the outdoor seating; plenty of it. Tried the beef (or stakeburger which was very nice. The only downside, for which I am going to close an eye and still share 5 stars: they dont accept some cards, like AmEx.
Great dessert and nice outdoor seating.
Tremendous service. Nothing was too difficult to make our visit so enjoyable. Our grandchildren loved the attention and thank you for finding them some crayons.Excellent food and lovely staff. Highly recommended
Warm welcome, nice food from a wide menu well served. Tables inside and out plenty of space. Car parking limited.
Beautiful pub and restaurant. Plenty of parking to the front or on the road to the side, great menu with a decent number of veggie options plus a kids menu. Weve never failed to get a table turning up although it can get busy at peak times! Lovely outdoor area and kids can run on the field out the back. Staff super friendly. I had the quiche today (picturedand it was so smooth and creamy!
Good, just wish the bar staff were a little more snappy with the service
Very very slow service mid week. Took 2 hours to eat and the food was to hot to eat. Not a great place to take elderly people either, the staff dont seem to like them much.
Fantastic venue. "Home cooked", fresh food. Great Colonial/period deco and lovely gardens.
Great service, beautiful surroundings, as a gluten-intolerant diner I really appreciated having several dishes to choose from.
Good as its always been good food good choice of beers good friendly service and good relaxed atmosphere. No point going to any other pub in the Tunbridge Wells area.
Lovely pub, food was good, but my dad said not as good as it has been, his pie crust was very hard!! I had 3 starters as a main and the waitress brought my fathers food over and one of my starters, I said to the waitress I have two more, as the dishes were very small I thought she could carry more, her reply was blunt, " I only have one pair hands!! Silly of me maybe to say but still a rude reply. Also I was asked to move my car whilst I was eating as they had a delivery, I had parked in guest parking space. I just found the whole experience a bit off.
Great food! Huge portions. Friendly staff.
Average average average…at best. 3 stars for lovely venue and friendly - but non attentive staff. There was a reason they didn’t even bother to ask how our meal was. Chewy “sirloin” of roast beef. The most bland of “sea bass” Tacos. 3 tiny slithers of roast pork loin and a frazzle sized piece of crackling. Expensive. Guess it’s ok for those that don’t have to worry about money vs what their food tastes like.
A loud shout-out for the staff at the Hare and especially Natalie, who went out of her way to cater for my many food intolerances over lunch. Her kindness and generosity as she thoughtfully oversaw each Course, were very much appreciated, thank you.
The place is worth the 5 stars reviews it receives, a visit to the Enchanted forest nearby and than this place to end the day made it perfect. We had the steak, chicken and roast pork for kids which all of us loved, as we had kids we were seated in a quieter space which made it even better for us. We went on a Sunday around 18:30 and it had just the right amount of people so we were not overly conscious when eating; the food, service, ambience, decor; all very very recommendable for a visit.
Absolutely lovely, sat in the conservatory overlooking the garden, food was delicious and served piping hot. Jessica look after us so well.I have now booked for Fathers Day.
Friendly, steaped in things to see, loved the artwork, some risqué artwork at child eyeline. Issue with drainage and the toilets smelling which is a shame if you enter via the garden, still recommend. Fabulous on a hot day Im guessing.
Lovely place to relax indoors or outside. The service is great but it can be a little pricey compared to other local pubs. The food is very tasty.
Really nice pub, garden area is lovely when the sun is out! Staff were friendly and food was pretty good!
The Sunday roast dinner was excellent , except I did not like the roast potatoes. They seemed like they had been cooked hours before or they were triple-roasted (not mentioned on menu).
My wife and I had an excellent lunch at the Hare on Saturday recently. Starter. Main and desert were all delicious and made the whole experience really enjoyable
Really nice pub in Langton Green in a lovely setting and relaxed atmosphere, varied food menu consisting of delicious gastro pub affair!
We were there for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, service great and all staff very attentive. Great value too. Wed definitely recommend the Hare to all friends and family and we will be back!
Visited here one Saturday afternoon around 5/5.30. Very nice place in a nice area. Randomly chose on the map for its location. Managed to fit us in even though you can see on the system that theyre super busy. All the walls tell a story and theres lots of weird and wonderful pictures and objects and artifacts on the walls. Nice friendly staff. We got a girl on her first shift and only her first serving of customer. Really nice and polite didnt get her name. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Can imagine this place gets very busy in the summer as well. Thank you for making it a welcoming visit 😁😁
Amazing food! Beautiful place with very friendly stuff and big many. A lot option for vegetarian and meat-eaten people! We was there last week and definitly will come back soon.Place is very clean, clean toilets and good car park. Big tables perfect for family dinner.
First time at The Hare as recently moved to the area and wow! Not sure if we will even bother going anywhere else for pub dinners in future. Everything we had was spot on and really well priced (including the wine list!A really lovely atmosphere - super cosy and warm. Highly recommend.
Sunday lunch at the Hare is always delightful, in the blazing sun of summer or the chill of winter, the pub has a special character. Good food again and accommodating for our large group as we flitted between sitting indoors or out! Only feedback is to increase the speed of service slightly. We don’t mind taking our time but felt like we were trying to catch their eye once too often.
Great pub, nice outdoor space, quirky features inside. We ordered from the bar snacks had some whitebait and some crispy squid. Requested additional sauces and they were there in a flash, with a smile. Food was lovely service great, and sat watching a beautiful sunset with a pint, made it a great evening.
A must stop for anyone Gluten Free / Coeliac! A full dedicated menu for with endless options. I had a delicious chicken, ham + leek pie. Coeliac UK accredited too.
Had a delicious roast here last week. Staff were so attentive and friendly. Meat was amazing. Only thing I would fault is the lack of a steak knife for the beef
Lovely sea bass with amazingly crispy skin. The vegetables with it werent soggy or tasteless and instead were extremely flavoursome. Candied orange in the choc and orange tart was perfect and the tart itself was rich with chocolate. Wonderful service and food.
Lovely meal, smiley service, excellent atmosphere! Definitely recommend! Came for our anniversary and had a brilliant night, will definitely be back!We ended up having a charcuterie platter which was the perfect size! The first time weve ever ordered one and not been disappointed. Plus 3 starters; scallops (beautiful), ham hock fritters (yummy), and the partridge (ok, but not as flavorsome as the rest). Plus desserts!
