We sat in the garden, covered and heated and listened to an excellent selection of music. Great selection of beer available.

Great venue for live music, good selection of drinks and serves food too, SMASHING.

A good pub with good service. No waiting at the bar to be served and the place is busy enough to give a good atmosphere. They have a separate room with a stage for live music. We have seen several groups and never been let down on quality. A place worth a try.

Really nice pub with friendly staff. Real buzz in the pub area before heading into the music venue. Amazing atmosphere. Fish and chips delicious - will go again.

It has been great to see a few live music events here over the years.

Popped in today for the Sunday lunch after having a few positive experiences of the food beforehand. Unfortunately we were served best described as a school dinner - Beef so overdone it would have been better described as jerky, limp anemic veg and an Aunt Bessies Yorkshire. The pièce de résistance however was a the gravy which on the menu was advertised ambiguously as "Youngs Gravy" a smattering of toxic orange gloop that made Bisto seem Haut Cuisine. The manager did handle the complaint very well, apologetic and discounted our bottle of wine - this is a great pub for sure just dont book it for Sunday Lunch.

Great club for live music. Has been there forever.Not a bad pub either!

A little embarrassing…. Went there a few times. One time we tried to order a bottle of wine as listed. They were out of our first 3 *three choices. Walked in just now, and they’re out of Guinness.. mind you, this is not a mom&pop pub….The interior looks wonderful and music plays a big part in the pub. That’s good for a starThe staff is gracious which is worth a lot, especially when they’re understocked. A saving grace one hopes the ownership appreciates.

Nice venue. Toilets 🚻 clean. Bar staff male & female pleasant. However felt drinks overpriced.

The Half Moon is one of my fav pubs in the area. Service is great, very friendly and efficient. Pints were good. We both had fish and chips which was very nice.It is also famous for live music and we have been to a few gigs here in the past. No gig for us on this visit but its definitely one to try as its a excellent little venue.

A brilliant live music venue, been around for 50 plus years which says everything and currently offering live music every night. Decent range of beers, but can get a bit busy at the bar just before the gig starts

We visited for a Cuban afternoon. The food was amazing and the cocktails were too. D.J played fab Cuban music and people got up and danced and enjoyed the summer afternoon into the evening. Toilets were clean and accessible and travel links good. Sainsburys local petrol station right next door if you need it. A fabulous venue. That also boasts a rooftop area

Nice venue, great sound, good beer, nice staff. Nice and quick to get served and no q in the toilets all good when you want to get back to your gig fast !

What a great venue. Got me reminiscing about the early 90s when London was full of venues like this. Fortunate to see A Band called Malice here. Crowd was friendly and the sound was exceptional. Bar accessible and not too crowded. Will definitely be back

Great place to come for an intimate gig experience! Service was great and the drinks were good! Lovely outdoor space to the side as well.

I went to this pub once and as I was playing pool at this pub where a group of men bullied us because I was taking longer to play than they expected, I ended up in tears outside after they kept pestering me, they stole our table and game, staff ignored my complaints. If you are not English or white I’d advice you to avoid this pub.

Went to see the Rollin Stoned. A great tribute band that is highly entertaining & talented.

This is a great venue. I came to see one of my favourite bands here and had a fabulous night. Thank you so much to the staff who were really helpful and went the extra mile.

A great night A fantastic pub.! Great venue for musicians. Stage is so close that you can touch the artists .! Intimate and friendly avenue. We went early for a dinner and a drink .food was good and service was as efficient.! 5 stars totally deserved .. and young blues artis Toby Lee is a next big thing .! He is amazing .! Vibrant place in Putney. Great for drink or two. DJ playing and vibing at the same time. Definitely worth visiting. On sunny day you can drink your pint in the garden.

Came to this pub for a hair show, was a very chilled out vibe, low lighting in the events room so bring a ring light or borrow friends phones for flash in pics. Toilets look nice but need a regular clean as smell pretty bad. Event itself was great! Drinks are on the pricey side 🤑

Very poor for a Sunday lunch the roast beef was tasteless, the roast chicken was dry, and the fully loaded burger was like they got it from mcdonalds. For £60 pounds I am very disappointed. Service Good. Food very bad

Perfect place for a gig if a little pricey on the beer side.

Good music venue. If youre going to have a drink or a bite to eat while youre there, prepare to be shocked. You know drinks and food are expensive when everyone questions the price and even the bartenders apologise at how expensive everything is.

Needed some carbs before a boozy session and the curly fries and mac n cheese seriously hit the spot!

Favourite pub in Putney area, great venues, live music, nice atmosphere and decoration, outdoor area… On Football day gets really crowded but usually staff it’s nice and quick serving.

Great live music venue in a pleasant pub. Lots of history in the venue itself, good sound, the bar has a good range of beers (maybe not the cheapest in London!and decent food. The outside terrace has plenty of seating and an outdoor food stall in warmer months, and plenty of room for us antisocial smokers...

Awesome pub with heated outdoor terrace. The food is fresh and good quality. The governor is an amazing cricketer especially in the batting department.

Iconic music venue, still going strong.Great selection of beer and ale, great music (both live and recorded), event room where some of the most famous bands in the world have played. All situated by the river in the lovely London borough of Richmond. 100% check this venue out!

Great pub, which offers a good range of draught ales, lagers & ciders. The pub also offers meals. There is a music venue in a separate room.

A fabulous old fashioned live music venue. The Half Moon has been doing music for many years: the oldest ad that I saw dated from 1965. Many well known bands have honed their skills here, and I was surprised to learn, that in this tiny corner of the smoke, Elvis Costello spent several years as artist in residence..... I thoroughly enjoyed last nights gig from Jack Ellister, Sendelica and finally The Groundhogs...... Lovely venue and we will definitely return 😎

Drinks a bit expensive. Saw the ELO tribute band ‘ELO Again’. Tickets were about £10 I think, or thereabouts. Superb, I really REALLY hope they get to perform there again!

Great food and a great gig venue but drinks prices are ridiculous! £9.20 for a large glass of Pinot Grigio. Next door you can buy 2 bottles for that!

Went to the Half Moon for the first time to see Fleetwood Bac a tribute band. Great music and venue. Garden outside with burger bar, wide selection of drinks and friendly staff. Bar was a bit busy and long waiting time before the concert started.

Very genial pub with an attentive resident dog as soon as you begin eating. Bar staff are friendly, the place is clean, and there’s an array of games to play.Food is decent but a little on the pricey side. In summer there’s a burger shack but otherwise the menu seems a little limited.The back room is host to an array of live events including live music and comedy.
