This museum features exhibits on the history of the Jewish Yishuv defense force.
Wonderfully done museum showing and explaining how instrumental the Haganah was in the start and existence of the State of Israel. Well done!
Well made, interactive and awesome. Movies and videos defaulted in Hebrew but there are buttons that play it in English too. Informative and entertaining. Totally recommend.
Enough text and audio in English to understand the history of Hagana, good films.
This is one of the stops on the Tel Aviv Independence walking tour, and it is well worth an hour to step inside. It tells the interwoven stories of national defense, the rescue of Jews from the post war displaced persons camps, and the war for independence.
It is a museum that shows how the underground army "Hagans" worked and how they transformed to IDF.It is ok not a must visit. Doesnt show any "contrasting" opinions.
Excellent museum, an excellent way to learn about the Hagana, as well as the other "armed" forces before/after the creation of the State of Israel. Great place! Information in Hebrew and English!
English friendly... with audio guide but also the displays have English as well but you have to look for the buttons. I learned a lot about the history of Israel.
Excellent displays and very informative. Ask for the no charge audio guide, available also in English
History of the 1948 war where it happened
Great history of the turbulent birth of the Israeli state very balanced
Very interesting and well done. Took a little less than 2 hours. A great visit to add to any trip into tel aviv!
Even though it is a bit old, the museum offers a very complete experience about the history of the Hagana, from its first years until the creation of the IDF.
awesome awesome place. also great for English speakers.
Interesting to know about the defence and formation of the State of Israel... especially about the begiinings in the Pre-State Yishuv.
In the years 2013-2014 I have photographed in the Hagana Museum as part of my then ongoing research project: Museutopia- Military museums in Israel. The project was exhibited in 2015 at the Israeli Centre for Digital Art in Holon. You can find the documentation of the exhibtion in the albums.
This museum outlines the the development of the Jewish self-defence forces, from Bar-Giora and Hashomer during the first Yishuv in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, respectively, to the Haganah from 1920-1948.It is a fantastic museum with many exciting stories to tell. The plight of the early settlers and the struggle during the interwar years leading up to the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.The museum is quite centrally located and is well worth a visit. The museum is run by the Ministry of Defence, so bring your passport.
Great place full of interesting history
The museum is simple and relatively small yet informative, being creatively decorated in some areas as if you were actually at the historic site. It includes audiovisual information and even a small theater. Not all of the signs and material are translated to english, so you may miss some particular events. Some areas included buttons for the english version of short informative movies but, at the time of my visit, some were not working. You may ask for a self guide audio player that somehow helps which is included in the entrance fee. A somewhat worthwhile place if you have time to spare or are waiting for someone as it only takes around 30 minutes to see everything.
Pretty tired looking as it definitely hasnt been updated since it was built. But an interesting place and not too expensive. I wouldnt make a trip there but it was a good place to get out of the rain.
Great museum to visit
The whole experience was phenomenal. The museum should mention Menachem Begin.

Amazing museum. Good illustrations. Nice service. But dont forget your passport or ID.
Nice little museum, mainly educational, on the subject of immigration and defense during the formation of the state of Israel up to the Independence war.
Useful and good detailed history. Lots of slides with English and Hebrew options.
Interesting historical museum of the Hagana. This was the largest of the defence forces that operated in Israel Pre 1948

Everyone should learn of this amazing part of history. Thoroughly enjoyed this museum and hope to return
Amazing museum, amazing history ! The Haganah Museum was built around the home of Eliyahu Golomb the founder, and de facto commander of the Haganah. In 1930-1945, the Haganah;s secret headquarters was located in his house. On this site, many fateful decisions were made regarding the Jewish Yishuvs existence in pre-state Israel, mostly on issues of defense, security, settlement and illegal immigration.
Great explanations and artifacts from history
