You really feel in holiday here, the view of manoel island an sliema is magic. Mario is a nice host and I believe the food is fresh and delicious

Fabulous view, lovely staff, home cooked food. If you want posh not for you. But if want a decent home cooked meal with probably one of the best views in Valletta for a good price give it a go. 2022 probably even better!!

Excellent food and wonderful staff! And if you love WW2 artefacts, they have some in abundance!

Great stop off point for a cool Cisk and excellent views. Didnt eat but other customers praising the food and portion sizes.

I really enjoy my time at this place. To be honest i think it’s a hidden gem, considering the location. Food quality was good and the service was fast. I gave it 4 stars because the table we were seated in was not properly cleaned up. If the owners decide to invest and refurbish the place, it would be like a top 5 places to have a drink&enjoy the sunset in Valletta.

Cracking views, great place for a pint or a bottle of wine, just dont order fish n chips, the fish isnt like a chippy offering, more like a farmfoods frozen number.well worth a visit, owner and staff are great.

The “waiter” did not care about me and my partner. He was too busy to talk to blonde ladies for about 30mins. Didn’t take the empty glasses, i had to do it myself. Gave only one menu card for 2 person, the table was dirty and the staff was rude. The view is beautiful so i feel so sorry for the place to be run by these people…

The place had a beautiful view but when we went to pay we saw an swastika sign and a lot of thing for the word. Didn’t like it.

Beer in menu was for 3€, but when it came to paying it was 3.5€. I was told that I will pay 10.5€ for 3. I paid by card and find out later that I paid 11€.

Fantastic views over the harbour entrance. Nice beer and well priced. Run by a charming older gentleman who has lots of interesting stories to tell.

A small bar with a view from Valletta over the harbour. Limited food options as well as drinks and it seems a good opportunity wasted for what could be a really rather nice bar. The stand out disappointment though is reserved for the service which was exceptionally poor. One to avoid even though it does have a nice view (get a picnic or bring drinks and sit on the rocks just beneath!)

A funny old bar this. Service was a bit haphazard and slow, and the place feels slightly rundown. I guess they are not trying to be a fancy bar, which works for me. The view is one of the best in Valletta, which doesn’t seem to have that many bars with views overlooking the water. Well worth going for a drink.

Extemely bad hygiene. The glasses served to us were very dirty and made me not want the drink. The oils, salt and pepper on the table looked like they had been there for decennia. The food also had hair in it. Do not eat here.

The place is so laid back and has an amazing views on both seating areas. Location of the Gunpost Bar is great, however they should work on the drinks part; we tried the house wine and ok t was horrible, gin tonic wasnt good either.A bar tender would add a great value to the place. Totally recommended.

Great fun place with sea views for drinks or food, serves pizza in the evening.

This is not a restaurant, but just a bar. The options are limited here: mostly beer. You dont go there for the drink or food, or services, but for the view, which is great: a few meters above the water line, you have a view of the harbor, the boats. The sun set is the best here. If you are in the area, step by and catch you breath have a glass of beer and enjoy the view, before continuing your exploration in the island capital.

Ill always try and visit this spot when Im in Malta. Its hard to compete with the view.

If youre looking for fauning waiters best to avoid this place. If however you are looking for good honest food at more than reasonable prices and the best views in Malta the gunpost is for you. Yes the toilets are a bit shabby, but that vista makes up for it. I think the proprietor Mario is misunderstood as we found he had a very dry sense of humour. In short if your looking for the Ritz forget it, but if you want good honest cuisine give it a try.

Authentic Maltese cuisine amazing scenery of the Grand Harbour and Marsamxett harbour. Is is also one of the few value for money places left in Valletta as most other are a rip off

I said disliked but that isnt the right review. It had the best view of Sliema and the views were great. Just needs a little TLC

A small operation run by few older gents. All beer comes from the cans, no draughts available. Had two rolls that were quite nice but somewhat unusual: tuna meat served with mixed salad and beetroot, no mayo; cheese roll had heavily processed (McDonalds stylecheese in it. No fuss basic pit stop with higher than average prices. Can find nicer places in Valletta that are less expensive.

The food is really good and not expensive. Beautiful views. Would cost a fortune in other countries to eat in a restaurant with the view from the Gunpost. Very casual dining. Worth trying.

Well the boss mario is a great gentleman, cares for his clients and he s got good food at reasonable prices ,sure you,ll satisfy yourself and get filled up.lol.keep it up Mario.

The placement is what makes it nice. Dont take milkshakes here. Just sugar and milk.

Overpriced, poor quality. 2.8 euros for an ice coffe made by nescafe without ice. Slow service, dirty toilette.

I was charged 2 euros for a tea that according all the menus found around cost 1,50. I let is slide, but when my company arrived later, they were also overcharged for beer. The bathroom had no sign, had to go ask about it. When finally found, there was no light, toilet paper or soap. Went to ask for paper, there was no one else at the bar but the old guy standing around doing nothing, and yet he completely ignored me. Decided to stay waiting for reply, and finally he said "later". I asked him to elaborate, and got some mumbling about toilet paper being "delivered later". He never even looked at me and clearly couldnt have cared less. Seriously, how hard it is to grab a roll of toilet paper (and maybe a soap while at itfrom the grocery store across the street while waiting for your toilet paper to be "delivered", so your customers could use the bathroom. Obviously, we decided to go elsewhere to eat.
