The Groggshop in Rhondda

My daughter and I had the privilege of being in Wales for the 2015 RWC. Our visit to the World renowned Grogg shop was definitely a highlight during our time in Wales, it is almost like stepping into a portal and being surrounded by history and traditions, we were very grateful and humbled. I had goosebumps and when my time on this earth is done I would like to think that Heaven will look like the Grogg shop. Thank you for the memories Wales and especially to our friends Mr Stuart Rix & Mr Phil Miles for their hospitality.

Did a click and collect online, when collecting it, was told it was out of stock. I could either swap it for a different one or have the one I was after the next day. Collected it the next day, staff were very friendly and helpful. The product was wrapped up for me when I collected. Very happy

Popes to this lovely shop today to pick up a present. I hadn’t realised it was click & collect only however the lady was so lovely and invited me in to show me what she had. She was then able to personalise my item there and then and was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this shop to anyone especially if your looking for some welsh gifts!

Excellent items on sale which are wholly pertinent to our area along with great festive gifts. Plus a chance to speak in person to John Hughes which gave us an insight to just how much work is involved. A great place to visit even if you dont buy anything. Check out the local cards too e g. Ordered a figure on Sunday 20th of October and it arrived Wednesday 23rd of October! So pleased with it, it was also well packaged. Brilliant!

Visited the Grogg shop last Saturday, September the 8th , as a joint 18th and 50th Birthday surprise. What a wonderful time we had, Richard was fantastic showing us his studio and in progress creations. Telling us lots of lovely stories.We came away with with our Son buying the "Front Row" to add to his collection and our Grandson buying his first Grogg, and a special one for me as a first Grogg.If you go for the first time to the shop allow lots of time, so much to see and take in a "quick visit"would not do it justice!Wonderful day with many thanks to Richard and staff.

The Groggshop is a visiting must! Whether your a collector or a passerby, its always good to get a refresh on where grogg heritage began! Plus you never know WHO is in the shop....

Great shop. Friendly service. See the master at work- you may be lucky enough to see a Grogg work-in-progress or even bump into an international rugby star as they visit the shop to be presented with their new Grogg.

It was good to go around the shop it has a small museum that you have look around so if you are in to groggs you will enjoy the shop and the staff was lovely and helpful

What a wonderful shop it is. I have seen this shop on newspaper 3 or 4 months ago. Yesterday I told mu husband lets go today. The shop is little bit hidden but you can use sat nav to find. There is small museum behind the shop as well. Figures was marvelous. My husband liked Muhammed Ali I liked Freddie Mercury. There are some objects belong to rugby and football players and signed trainers, chewed gums and more. Very very highly recommend.

What a spectacle! I could have spent many hours (and many £sin there, no problem. Its definitely worth a visit and the shop is clearly family run and I think it shows with the whole service. Very friendly, very talented and very much a place I will return.

I just cant fault the customer service I received at the grogg shop today Christmas is coming and needed to start shopping had a idea on what to get was made to feel relaxed and easy place to shop full of interesting things. The shop blew me away. Cant wait for Xmas to be over with and for my husband to be to experience the same as I did today. When rugby is your life and Wales is your team this shop has it all. Would definitely recommend the grogg shop.

They even have a small museum! Nice place to buy Welsh souvenirs and other Welsh miniatures like rugby and football players...Ill be back for that Gareth Bale miniature!

Just had our first grand child and wanted something to mark such a SPECIAL and BRILLIANT occasion, look no further, the birth of a dragon, a dragon being born out of rugby ball, so pleased and many other item to choose from, living it, one of the best shops ever

Love the Groggs and Grogg shop, have been visiting for years! Was born in Pontypridd many years ago . Family members were miners and have been collecting Land of My Fathers collection ( 1 yet to purchase!for my own father .Am collecting Rugby collection too both in shop and online and Dragons loving all things Welsh! Highly recommend as gifts.

Been a regular customer on and off for a few years now, and am always impressed by the devotion and attention to detail . Well worth a visit to this quaint little shop, almost like an aladins cave in ponty.

This place is amazing. The skill and care that goes into the groggs is unmatched. Great history which is shown in the shop museum. Lovely staff and you might even bump into a rugby player our two! Youll want to become a collector after you visit!
