This establishment has alot to learn about hospitality. The food was not of good quality, it was over cooked and over priced.Drinks are very expensive. We sat with dirty plates in front of us for hours, they were only moved because we asked. No one came to check if everything was okay with the food, we werent offered puddings, we certainly werent given a smile the entire time.We felt our custom £££ may have inconvenienced them !

Room was cold and very drafty. No soundproofing and the live band downstairs meant we could hear and feel every twang of bass and every note to the dreadful cover of "Country Roads" - I was exhausted and had to wait for them to stop before I could get any sleep. The windows are loose and not particularly thick so you can hear everything on the pavement and pub garden below. We were only given one towel (No hand towels or bath matbetween the two of us which was awful because the bathroom floor was freezing. The radiator didnt work by the way, so no hope there. Shower water pressure was laughable - it was a trickle at best. Im glad I was only there for one night as washing my hair would have been impossible. The room itself had only one small overhead light so was very gloomy. The desk was wobbly and floors are very uneven, granted this is an old building so I cant really fault them that. Breakfast was rubbish. You get a little box of cereal and a croissant (my partner didnt even get one as they ran out!So that sucked. Check out staff totally disinterested. By the way the staff go home at 6.15 so if there are any problems in your room overnight you are out of luck! Awful. Wouldnt recommend it. Far better hotels and B&Bs in Chalfont and local area.

Lovely service and food. Quick and excellent quality. Plenty of it and drinks are nice too. The menu isn’t huge but it’s typical pub food of excellent standard. They allow dogs outside and have a water bowl for them and dogs are allowed inside on the non carpeted areas so in the colder months it’s still a lovely place to go. Atmosphere is calm and the staff are all very polite and friendly.

Hadnt been to the Greyhound for several years, not since moving away from the village some years ago.Its a little on the expensive side if its your regular but well worth it to celebrate special occasions.Great selection of lagers, beers and spirits and the beer garden is lovely on a warm spring/summer/autumn day.I would definitely highly recommend it to anyone who fancies a trip out to a friendly, welcoming village pub.Absolutely worth the 5 stars I gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

Living in the village this is a lovely little gem, coming here on the weekend is a personal treat for myself and my boyfriend. Since being taken over prior to covid this place has come leaps and bounds, food is top notch and the alcohol range is worlds away from what the previous owners stocked. I believe the nicest thing the pub does is bring some well needed music into the village hosting regular nights of live singers and bands.

Sunday lunch, nice choice of Sunday roasts and of course the normal menu. Good value, nice food well presented. The only thing that we thought was a bit mean, as a table of 4, 3 people had Sunday roasts, but we got the same size vegetable portion as a table of 2. Appart from that couldnt fault it.

Stayed for a night while visiting friends. Nice room, with a comfy bed, and attractive decor, had an undisturbed night.Unfortunately the shower was bearly a trickle. Also the breakfast included was insufficient. A handful of pastries to go around all guests, cereal, fruit and toast felt like only half a meal. My wife had phoned ahead twice to mention her veganism and received confirmation that she would have options, but in reality no one had bought in the products. A small mistake, admittedly, but compounded by there being little else to satisfy a hungry adult.

Nice selection of real ales and a great nut roast but the thing that was outstanding was the lovely staff. The waitress was super helpful and really friendly, she even offered to keep an eye on our bikes while we ate. That really is customer service above and beyond, and means well be sure to return. Thank you for being so helpful, we really appreciated it.

Good value for money with friendly staff. Was given room 12 to start though, and told its a ‘nice room’ which was a lie. It’s apparently the worst room in the house. Smells funky, shower falling to bits and electrics not working. After a night. I moved to room 10, which is smart and at the back of the place away from the busy road. Breakfast options minimal, which is a shame. But overall (with the new roomit’s a good value option.

This hotel was lovely friendly staff, very helpful but I think for £76 for a basic double Room the breakfast should of been included with this price. There was no WiFi details or no pin number given for the WiFi on arrival. The complimentary wine was a kind gesture to welcome us guests. Also I think the rooms should of just had instant coffee in the rooms rather than the pod coffee machines. Difficult to operate if you donot have one in your home! The rooms was very clean and warm. With the village over looking my bedroom window. 👌

Dined one Sunday evening. A very safe and friendly welcoming. Whilst it has the appearance of a traditional pub, the bar was way above average. I enjoyed few pints of craft ale l and my wife an Aperol Spritz - another guest commented on how his Guinness was the best Guinness he’d ever had!I chose the roast sirloin to eat, it came with perfectly cooked seasonal veg, a huge Yorkshire pudding and more than enough roast potatoes plus the creamiest cauliflower cheese! Highly recommend!

Lovely pub we passed on our way to a walk around Chalfont St Peter. Stopped in for lunch and was very impressed by the friendly service, size of the portions and quality of the food. Several hours after leaving when we realised wed left behind our daughters sippy cup and rang to see if it was there, they remembered us from our visit and had kept it back for us. We will definitely be returning soon to try out the Sunday menu and very possibly an overnight stay too.

Initial contact great. I booked the function room for a family special birthday, months in advance. Popped in couple weeks before, no one knew a thing. Staff all young and inexperienced. No continuity of contact. On the day when the decorations arrived, the room was not set up, couple hours before. Oliver was very helpful give him credit however was all stress. Evening went ok until the food. Menu came out completely wrong. Nothing what was agreed. A entirely completely different menu had been served. Much not to the taste or dietary requirements. Not enough food at all for 25 guests and prices were not cheap. We had picked the dearer menu and all agreed in writing. All extremely embarrassing as the menu the pub provided had been circulated, especially when there was not a lot to eat for travelled guests. Asked for more food, got two small bowls of chips. Highly embarrassing and awkward. Not exactly the high end that we had paid for and expected. I Have been emailing the pub regularly since, immediately after event and well before closure for renovations, no response whatsoever. Devastated and ruined a very special well planned (on our partbirthday. Will be taking further.

The outstanding aspect of this establishment are the staff. From reception to the restaurant, the staff are friendly, helpful and very obliging. The rooms are typical of this type of accommodation in that theyre adapted rather than purpose built. However, our room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we required. The restaurant area has character and the evening meal we ordered was very enjoyable. The breakfast menu was also comprehensive and would satisfy the majority of tastes.Overall an extremely enjoyable weekend break.
