The Great Indian Dhaba - Indian restaurant in Kampala, Uganda
Poor customer care to ugandans
They have a very good tea
Chicken Manchurian starter was one of the best dish but fish Thali and Mutton biryani were absolutely pathetic in quality.Mutton biryani looks like some rice poured on top of a mutton gravy.Thali had only fish curry ,dal and rice and gulabjamun I dont understand why was it called as THALI.Absolutely no value for money, will never visit again
The food is wonderful, the spice mix is done to perfection. Very nice Indian food!Ambience... not too good on the day we were there. The service was slow and a bit disorganised, with no proper table set up.
Great food, but very slow service on the day I was there, Sunday 28th August 2022. There was an event for the Indian Community watching Cricket and thus was rather noisy. Ample parking, has both indoors and outdoors seating. Toilets moderately clean.Food was tasty and in good servings, but the service was rather slow and intermittent. They have both Non Vegetarian and Vegetarian for Indian and Chinese foods. There is wheel chair access. Has a swing for kids play.
Good taste with natural beauty envoirnment
Good buffet on Sunday.
Food is excellent and good value - the portion sizes are huge! The atmosphere was a bit quiet when we were there - we were the only people there for most of it and it did feel like the staff were watching us. Maybe itβs busier on weekends!
Delicious food, The Great Indian DhabaππΌ
One of the best indian food that I ate in my life. All food types are tasty and the prices are so affordable. I highly recommend to put this restaurant in your plan when you visit Kampala.
Best natural beauty dhaba
Place very good you can enjoy with the friends and family food very delicious
Must visit for Indian food in kampala.
Location: The place is located near golf club and is easy to spot. Its visible by the hoardings on the roadside.Parking: The location has enough parking for cars as well as coaches.Hygiene: The place is very clean and every employee here are masked and make sure hygiene is maintained here.Food: The food taste is amazing and can be customised according to your requirements. They have vast variety of food, everything from snacks to dessert are delicious.Overall: A good place to find Indian taste in Uganda. Food tastes actually good and its a place where you can run for when you are craving for Indian food. They can make it spicy as well as delicious depending on the way you want it to be. A must visit restaurant at Kampala if you are Indian. Also, Ugandan can try food by saying them to make it mild and not spicy, few of my Ugandan friends tried chicken lollipop, chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani and they loved it, so you guys should try it too.
Large place its for Indians, good and the place is on the main road
A very nice place to have Indian food in the heart of kampala city. Their chicken dragon is a must try. Enjoyed the ambience and hospitality.
It is a no frills restaurant mainly set up around a large garden full of various small structures to resemble Street scene in New Delhi suburb. You will find a pani purri cart, old rickshaw, old truck cabin to complement the scenery. The food is quite tasty and the manager and Chef both are quite amenable to any special requests
Food is below average and using tooo much food colour on curry πππ
Suitable for family dine-out
Nice place, sitting arrangement reminds you of Indias dhabas. Food quality also good. There South Indian menu is just awesome. Service is also very quick.
If you are looking for good Indian food it is the best Indian restaurant in Kampala
not super flavorful Indian food and small amounts on naan for what you pay for, but overall nice service and clean atmosphere. Good service.
Good food and ambience, services need to improve a bit
Good Indian food and a nice place to unwind with friends. Last order is at 11pm :The mutton curry with naan and lollipop chicken are delicious.
Food was solid. Really nice outdoor seating! Has a small playground for kids.
Nice Little place for indian cuisine experience. Also have a small play area for kids.Food is also indian aunthentic π
Tasty Indian food! Highly recommend
Quite simply the best Indian food in Kampala. The taste, the ambiance - complete with Bollywood posters, and location are all excellent.

This is quite a good place that everyone deserves to visit for all kind of Indian foods. For me I supply commercial kitchens, design the kitchen floor to make the places more better.
A good place to have dinner and private party...as the name suggest you will get the feeling of DHABA
A good Indian Restaurant one of its kind in Uganda. The properties around will remind you of the outskirts of the city. They serve you the tastes of the North, East, West and South. The comfortable seating in the open space makes you feel at home. The variety of dishes, the Reknown numbers of Bollywood hits, the fresh air makes a lovely experience of an evening with family and friends. Hot Dosas n Panipuri n Chaats are really worth trying.
This restaurant takes you back to India. The setup reminds you of the restaurants in the outskirts of the city. You can take your seats as per your comfort. Different cuisines from South Indian to North Indian, East to West there is a touch. A place for taking your family and friends and enjoy the evening.
The food is delicious ππ½ and they have delivery
Good Indian food available here. Especially the weekend offer of the buffet lunch is very much favourite to me. I recommend this to everyone to visit once atleast.
Great place for Indian food. I like the privacy the place affords you.
Its great experience there. Chef is good, he actually understands your taste.
Nice informal Indian restaurant with interesting decor ideas including a replica of a Indian truck. The food is well executed with a menu listing the classic Northern Indian dishes and a selection of South Indian specialities.
Great little Indian place, relaxed atmosphere and exhaustive selection of dishes. They have good breads and good value lunch specials. The ginger and garlic chicken appetizers are a favorite of mine.
Strange little place. The food was bland and nothing to write home about. The evening entertainment was probably the better of the night with a lively male and female Indian singer crooning away to classic Hindi songs. We actually did not finish most of our food in our group as it was quite bad.
The Great Indian Dhaba Bar & Resturant serves traditional Punjabi Dhaba Food, South Indian, and Indian "Street foods" which is a name given to roadside restaurants in India & Pakistan where the Dhaba name originated from. The Great Indian Dhaba is a great place to dine especially for those family and friends who love and enjoy Indian food! Their signature dishes include Chicken cashew nut curry with plain rice, boiled vegetables & kachumbari salad, Honey glazed chicken lollipop with Russian salad & chips and lastly their Mushroom paneer malai masala with butter naan, vegpularo & salads. Visit the GreatIndian Dhaba Bar & Resturant for a taste of a little bit of India in the Great Capital of Kampala!
Visit the indian dhaba restaurant for best Indian culinary experience in Kampala Town.
One of the best places to enjoy Indian cuisine. One of the things that catches anyones attention is the cultural pattern of sitting for a group of people, with shoes off. I think it makes everyone comfortable with shoes off.
Looks like dhaba ....nice place with garden....Very nice and authentic Indian food β€οΈ
Nice place, good food and friendly people.
They have great Indian dishes. The place is wide, with outdoor seating, great and jovial staff. The meals are served just on time and there isnt a lot of delay. Be sure to step in for yummy, mouth watering and delicious meals prepared by professional chefs. Its a great stop of a lot of Indians. Have never been disappointed for all the times have visited this place.
Simulated to be a good place. Cordial chef who cud come to your table if u need him to understand your taste of spice and its concentration. Waiters and waitresses adorned with Indian kameez is a bit out of sync. Hindi songs BG is decent except for a few dholak songs. Otherwise another place to eat.....
Great place.. spicy Indian foods
Authentic Indian restaurant with nice Talisker, Dosas and other typical dishes you dont fine often in other indian restaurants
One of my favorite Indian restaurants in town. Dosas/street food are especially good. And the fresh lime soda keeps me coming back. SO MUCH LIME. Sundays are especially good because of the brunch buffet.
