The Grazing Goat - in Wete, Tanzania
Nice rooms. Great food and service was also good. Yes it is a bit pricey but it is also a great location.
Nice upscale bar restaurant. Good vibe and service. Steak pie was good.
Stayed in rooms above the pub, which is very well located.Rooms were nice enough. The bed was very large and comfortable and the shower was excellent. My room had no bedside table lamps though, so it was the big light on or nothing. Also, no double glazing, so quite noisy outside.Didnt eat there, but had a drink in the bar, the food being delivered to the tables looked fantastic.
Our five night stay at the Grazing Goat was miserable from start to finish. When I booked five months prior to our stay, I was assured “an exceedingly quiet room”.Upon check-in, when we were put in a street facing room directly above the pub, we were rudely told “we can’t please everyone”.It took two nights for them to finally move us, as their staff is slow to respond.Unfortunately the next room was even worse! It had a neon green “safety light” above the door that would not turn off and again kept us at night. The bed was terrible too.Regardless of what room you are in, every step and noise from above and adjoining neighbors can be heard. The staff offered us three free breakfasts and a bottle of Prosecco for our trouble but this felt entirely insufficient after undergoing five nights of horrible sleep and the hassle of packing up and moving our room. It truly ruined our stay in London.Other unpleasant things about our stay:- The wifi barely functions so I had to use up my own data to connect to the internet- Rooms are shabby and ill-maintained, the bathroom fan in our second room did not work- The industrial cleaning product they use in the rooms is very strong and smells like the kind used in a public restroom- The host refused to help us call a cab when we checked-out, claiming they don’t do that because cabs aren’t reliable (?!?!?)If you value peace and quiet of any kind, working internet, well maintained rooms and a professional and responsive staff, avoid.
Staff were prompt, courteous, and well dressed. Lovely atmosphere in the pub with nice decor. Accommodated a change in my meal with no issues. Beer cold :)
Lovely little tucked away bar. G&T / IPA & Fries £38 so take your card …Good toilets
Great upmarket pub. Nice food. On the pricey side. Unfortunately they were out of quite a few items on the menu.
Good service. Good food. The Guinness gravy didnt taste much of Guinness but then Guinness suaces never do, whenever I have tried them
Been here for the second time after 4 years. The service quality is much lower. We had to order many things twice and believe me we waited long enough in between. They forgot my wifes side order and serving spoon with oysters (small simple things). Cod was very overcooked. Only baby oysters were great. If you are here order baby octopus and probably have a burger. They looked good but we did not have it.
Had 2 meals there over the weekend and the food was incredible. The waiter was really friendly and fit us in last minute on a busy Saturday night! Couldnt recommend this pub more
Great place very exquisite meals. Try to book or walk 1 or 2 hours before your tour starts so you can enjoy the full experience. Great food and excellent service. Most tables inside are for two.
Good transport links. Just off the Edgware Rd/Marble Arch vicinity. Nice location. Lovely restaurant and staff. Good food!
Good food. Our group enjoyed Sunday roast, caponata, and burger.
Quite busy, took a long time for us to be served and for our orders to arrive. However there is a nice view and there are a decent amount of options. Overall this place is alright but I wouldnt recommend it.
Incredibly disappointing experience.Having requested outside seating, the staff member advised just sit where ever is free, then proceeded to completely ignore us, but was remarkably able to bring out menus and serve the two other tables who arrived after us.After a 20min wait we ended up leaving as it was clear our custom was not wanted.I’d understand bad service if the restaurant was busy, but at this point it wasn’t.
Lovely place to stay. Food was divine. Really good night sleep. Helpful friendly staff. I would stay again.
Amazing restaurant. And the stuff are very friendly. Noemia was a very friendly person and very professional. I really recommende this place.
Awful service. The waiter acted like we didn’t exist. We had to go and ask the waiter to take our order as he refused to even look in our direction. Then after ordering we waited over 30 minutes just to still not even have our drinks. Eventually we gave up and decide to leave.
Fine pub food quite pricey for what it is (seafood linguine had limited seafood in itbut nice buzzy atmosphere and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating
Very nice food and drink. Sort of informal restaurant rather than a pub. Bar snacks were great, though a little pricey. 5 drinks (2 beers, 2 wines and a soft drinkwith 4 bar snacks £93 and no air-con.
Great service, delicious food and drinks. Reasonable pricing and nice curbside/ dining room seating. Just passing through London, but a nice find for a great meal!
Really great food - they were massive portions! The ambience was great as well and the staff were attentive.
I love this boutique hotel where I feel like home: great location, nice small room plenty of charm, authenticity (very nice people who just make everything simple for you, authentic material like wood and bathroom stone used in the décoration, eco coffee, tea and water at disposal…). I recommend and I will come back
I had a great time at the Grazing Goat. Delicious food served by professional front of house staff. They made me and my family feel relaxed and looked after at all times. Will defo recommend
Two university friends and I planned to meet in London for the first time since 2019. I chose The Grazing Goat as it offered an appealing menu in a handy location and had good reviews.I am so incredibly disappointed by our experience. The waiting staff could not be bothered with us. Instead of us being able to focus on catching up on the past 3 years, we were left waiting for water on a scorching hot day, waiting to order food, waiting to order more drinks, waiting for anyone to take our dessert & coffee order (which we subsequently did not pursue as there was no time after being left waiting for so long), and we had to wait again for the bill.I appreciate everywhere is understaffed - but it was not busy. At one point there were 5 members of staff collected around the till and we had to call over to be noticed.I just feel so sad that this will be the lasting memory of seeing these girls for the foreseeable future as they both move to opposite ends of America soon.I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Smart establishment. Only popped in for a pint. Beer was excellent, well kept. My partner asked the barman if they had a bag of nuts. This was met with an incredulous look and a curt answer of no, despite jars of almonds and bar snacks being behind him on the counter. Really surprised he didn’t go for the upsell. I thought that was what bar owners expected of their staff.
Food was excellent, with tasty starters, a reasonable choice of ten or so mains, and some straightforward desserts. Good veggie options just as part of the main menu. Service was quite slow, as it was very busy.
Maybe they were just having a bad day but our experience here was pretty poor. First of all they were very understaffed on a night Elton John was performing at Hyde Park. As soon as they started to get a bit busy it was chaos with the waitstaff. We had a table of 5 and it took ages to get drinks and we had to keep asking the staff where our drinks were. We looked around the pub at one point and almost all the tables peoples drinks were just empty. A few of also also ordered the Caesar salad special and as soon as it came out it was evident it was leftover chicken they needed to use up. It was all brown and grey meat and rubbery. No one who ordered it ate it. It was gross and not something Id expect from a pub of this caliber. When we finally did get the bill we refused to pay the service charge because of our experience. Dont think we will be back here.
Food was fine, bland. Service v slow.Staff mostly stood at the bar, backs to the room, jabbing at iPads, ignoring people walking in. Our drinks (pints beertook 20 mins, eventually got it ourselves from the counter where it was waiting. Asked for bill twice and eventually stood up to pay.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The first night the bed seemed like it was broken and we had a bad nights sleep. The room was old and Most things were falling apart. We then complained and they were very hospitable and we changed rooms to one that had a better bed.Lost a star because when we went to settle up the bill the next day for drinks we had when the bar was closed. They overreacted as if we were running away when in reality I was standing there with my card out waiting to pay. It was very odd and a lot of panicking for something we were willing to do and something that seemed obvious.
Came for a solo dinner and could not have felt more welcomed and satisfied. My waitress, Freya, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of their menus. I had the burrata followed by the bream, paired with a glass of Albariño.10/10 experience and meal. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Perfect food! Sunday Roast with roast beef was awesome, fish and chips were stunning and the burrata with greens - unexpected and delicious! Great service as well.
The eggs were so nice the coffee was so rich, the service was good. It’s a bit pricey for a breakfast all and all i had great time.
Beautiful little restaurant. We ate outside, tables were a bit crowded together but overall very nice. The food was amazing. The staff were all knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great meal, we would return.
We are local and often go to The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. However, this morning we were very disappointed with the service. Everything was incredibly slow and once the food came there were things missing from it. E.g. the sausage with the full English was missing, there was no butter with the bread and there was no salt and pepper on the table... and we had to keep asking for these things. The quality of the food was good as always, it was just all very unorganised despite it not being very busy. They also forgot that I asked for the bill several times!
Carvery was OK, bit expensive £30 / person idk if I see the value. Atmosphere and staff was OK too. One member ran around has asked us if we want something, forgot, asked us again and still didnt get it, but it was busy.
Fantastic find, excellent breakfast menu in a very relaxed atmosphere. Something for everyone... The Mixed Grill was outstanding as were the Eggs Florentine... Cannot recommend highly enough.
Happened upon this place on a Sunday evening; so glad our wanderings took us near. The food was truly delicious. There was just too much food and not enough stomach. Be sure to save some tim for their scrumptious desserts.
Food was ace and service was fast. We managed to get a last minute booking as this place get busy. Although when we arrived the kitchen didnt have long before it was scheduled to close the staff we welcoming and the food was ace.
Good setting, very good service.Prices very high though, even with the very good quality of the food: it is a steak pie after all you’re having to pay £22 for (before service charge kicks in).
Not impressed much by the main course but loved starters. Had the chili squid for starters.. Delicious, crunchy and could have eaten another bowl. Mains was a beef sandwich with onion rings and fries. Beef was dry although plenty of it, fries not quite right and onion rings greasy. Odd combo also as all on sourdough bread which I didnt get too as put off by the meat. Would not recommend or go again.
Great meal. Nice ambiance. Well prepared meal with quality ingredients. Good amount of cocktails.Scotch egg was dynamite. Also really enjoyed the root salad. Beer was served cold and delicious.Service was slow...staff seemed a little unmotivated as there were enough people on the clock for a Saturday night but just moved slow.
Food is first class, even though it is a little pricey, but I could have accepted this if we werent rushed through our food. We had a booking for 8pm and we were told we had to order quickly as the kitchen was closing. We only had bread as a starter, but this was cleared away while we were still eating! Then the main course came within seconds. Dont take bookings for 8pm if you cant give customers time to enjoy their meal...... We both felt really let down by this, it did spoil a really good meal and some excellent wine and beer.
This place is wonderful. Great food, good beer and really nice staff. We visited twice on our holiday because of its central location and inviting atmosphere. It did not disappoint!! The mushy peas were soooo good!!!
Delicious easy menu, apart from deciding what to eat! I had a scotch egg with beetroot salad and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I decided to go for the fries with parmesan truffle, too good to leave!Restaurant was incredibly busy, but the staff were great, so friendly and just perfect attentive.
Came here for Sunday Lunch, although the service was a little amateur (I think they must have been newit was still friendly and swift. The food is excellent, we had the special Venison Wellington which was superb. Everything was lovely, and particularly impressive as it was Mothering Sunday.
We ended up eating and drinking here twice during our short in a nearby flat. The food, service and ambiance was perfect. Our two visits included a late dinner with friends and Sunday lunch with relatives. Both meals beautifully prepared and service unusually good. We all put this one in our contacts. 5/5!
Food and service are impeccable here! On a relatively quiet street this lovely pub is a bustling meet up spot among professionals. The quirky decor leaves a little to be desired but it’s mismatch style adds a certain boost to the atmosphere. The wily, chirpy staff really help you feel at home with good recommendations on food and drinks. The menu here is a delight, with locally sourced ingredients and quality meat; you can’t really ask for more. Certainly worth a visit for lunch or for dinner but be warned it’s worth booking a table!
I had the mushroom hot pot and the apple tart with vanilla ice cream. I did like everything that I eat, the hot pot was creamy and full of flavour and the potatoes that topped the hot pot were crispy. The apple pie was delicious, not to sweet, however the ice cream was sweet enough, so the pairing was perfect. The service was nice and attentive. My only but is that the portion of the mushroom hot pot could have been at least 3/4 of the pot, for me the portion was a bit too small.... But this does not take anything away from the place, the food and the service.I would recommend this place.
We hosted our wedding at the Grazing Goat and it was perfect! The food was amazing, very tasty, generous proportions and the meet was excellent. Everybody was delighted with the menu. The service was fantastic as well, glasses of wine always full, perfect service and timing, and they were super nice. And also I would like to thank you for the attention during the weeks before which are always quite stressful but you were always there to answer any question, requests, helping with decoration...We really had a great time and I am very happy of deciding to celebrate my wedding there with my close friends and family. Thank you!
