The Glades, Bromley - Shopping Centre in Somerset East, South Africa
A spacious and airy mall. A good variety of shops and eateries. On 2 floors with escalators and lifts so good for disabled shoppers or people with mobility issues. There is also seating throughout.
I like going to Bromley Shopping Centre and especially the Glades. But you also have good local shops around that area as well. The best time of year to come and visit the Glades is when Christmas is coming around the corner. That is because you have a mini fairground and you can get some Christmas refreshments.
Been using Glades shopping centre for years. Clean tidy and can find most essential clothing shops here.
Really nice shopping centre very clean very new and a whole load of top quality shops go there its good
Very nice place. Nice people, nice stores. I love it.
Great centre, good shops and clean toilets, well managed
Just another shopping center. Nothing to get excited about. ⭐⭐ Over £3.50 for a coffee. And nearly £3 for a slice of 🍰 Costa lot. Not Costa coffee . That gets no ⭐🙄👌
Clean and spacious shopping centre, without being too big. Could do with a few more independent shops to balance out the chains. Toilets are kept very clean and plenty of them so no queuing for ages!
Go here all the time for my shopping. Its not a big place but big enough for all that you could need.
Quite busy when we went. If you are disabled and park above the Glades. You can get free parking by going to the information desk and showing them your blue badge.
Just a quick moan- the kiddes car machines on the floor by McDonald’s have changed to no cash-card only, plus gone up to £1.50 a ride from £1.00. Half the fun was letting my little girl put the money in herself. Plus the price rise is daylight robbery.
Very busy dont normally go to Bromley on Saturdays. Went for winter jacket for my Grandson got one in sports direct £20 off bargain.
Decent local shopping mall. But the number of units standing vacant (due to collapses before and during the pandemic such as Topshop, Debenhams to name only the most high profilehas left the choice greatly reduced.Generally go here for short shopping trips and for more convenient local returns and click and collect services.Bluewater has more choice, variety and free parking making it the default choice and worth the extra 30 minutes or so drive to get there.I hope that Bromley council and the owners have plans to reassess the Glades and redevelop it to better fit the needs of a post pandemic society.
Love it here. Very vibrant and large variety of shops inside
Parking is very exoensive. Very tight spaces. Eve charging facility is worse and near by charger is provided by Source London. One of the most expensive and rubish service provider.
Good place to shop with easy wheelchair access and great outdoor market.Good food too
Family friendly area, even the local cops took cool pictures with my grand daughter ..
This is a beautiful mall. The prices are cheaper than Toronto for some discounted items. The make up and cloth are awesome n good quality. You can get shirt, tee, dress, shirt and skirt for5 pound. My mom bought 3 set of bras for 8 pound at 40% off. The same bras is $30-50 each in Toronto. We got good buys. Will visit next time I am in UK.
Very nice shopping area and places to chill in Bromley
Very nice indoor shopping complex. It has a large car park attached to it, has a mixture of different shops and stores over several floors. It has glass lifts and escalators to allow easy access to all levels. There are also many places to eat and drink. It is very well maintained throughout.
After 6pm parking is very cheap (useful for going to the theatre. The shopping centre is not too big but it has good shops and eating places. A request to wear masks is still on all doors, but no one really uses one, not even security.
Large shopping centre, with a wide variety of shops over mostly two floors, and a large parking garage attached. It’s fairly well lit with tall ceilings, so feels pretty open and airy in most places. There are several places to eat, and additional shopping right outside on high street.
Good shopping variety. 1 star lost for lack of clear instructions approaching for actual car park entrances, and lack of directions to "shops" when parked.
Good clean shopping center located in the middle of Bromley High Street. Plenty of on-site parking available in various attached multistory car parks. Plenty of popular and chain clothing stores inside as well as places to eat. Security and police regularly pass through. Expect to find it extremely busy on Saturdays.
Its a shopping maul, as in usual chain shops catering for usual people. Advantage is that theres a high concentration of shops so at least its fairly quick to find something acceptable.Less unpleasant than Bluewater as its easier to navigate round, and its in competition with Bromley centre which some quirky shops outside the Glades. Only thing Bluewater does better is free parking.
As shopping centres go, this one is significantly better than many others. Nice, clean toilets. Reasonable variety of shops, cafés and restaurants but, like everywhere else, too many empty ones. Debenhams much missed. Good luck to the Glades in seeking a new tenant for this large empty site.
The Glades is always a great place... staff are amazing so is choice of shops and food. This visit was mainly for a gift and Pandora had everything i wanted.... thanks guys
Had to bit of a wlk around as I havent been to the glades for a long time. I came to get a present for my wife. All good was a good shop today.
Stopped by here to pick up an anniversary present in Pandora again. Been to a few of there stores in the UK and USA. Good service and always something new.
Visited Bromley with work and went to this centre to have a look around. I found it to be very clean and quite a few good shops to visit. This centre also has one of my favourite shops which we dont have in Glasgow...Rituals so will definitely be down more often
Nice clean shopping centre, good variety of shops but also some located on the High Street. Not many restaurants to choose from however the restaurant terrace is a nice outdoor space.
Love shopping here. The car park was very busy but inside the Glades was calm, quiet and not crowded which was lovely on a Saturday morning. Toilets were clean. Staff in Boots were helpful and friendly.
Good selection of stores and eateries, parking close by.Good local decent sized shopping mall without the crowds of the larger places. A good place to go if you’re local.
Love this place, has a great range of things to do. Such as the Entertainer for the kids, The perfume Shop for the adults. Enjoy some pretzels, bubble tea or a smoothie and cakes from Patisserie Valerie, a great family day out and look forward to going again.
Had a most pleasant visit to the Glades, but I had problems at the pay machine for my car park stay on the way out. Wanted to pay by cash at a cash payment checkout machine that just would not accept cash. (Multiple times, I tried.Luckily, a gentleman employee called IAN saved the day by verifying that it was the machine itself that was the problem/out of order (and Not me), and directed me to a functioning device, so that I could use cash and not a card. Bravo, IAN; Employee of the Month!
The glades is a decent shopping centre. The parking isnt always easy and there is now a lot of empty shops. However, there is a really good selection of shops and it is generally nice
Returned here today after a long time. It looks and feels very different from what I can remember. Some quality shops no longer exist in there, and seems to have been replaced with shops of a lower quality with limited choice of goods. Maybe I am a little nostalgic, but its nothing like the Bromley I once knew.
Excellent For your shopping and have A great variety of shops and restaurants and attractions for the children and Almost Everyone including myself. Parking facilities for the Disabled people. Excellent service Overhaul 👏 👍. Michael Hourigan.
Lovely shopping complex, reasonable parking. Wide variety of shops and also can park here and go to the high street shops plus nice market stalls with interesting productsMuch prefer it to Croydon Centrale
A very nice day out. Lots of street food in the market place. The shops were fairly busy. Also bought some fresh fish from a fish stall. Enjoyed it very much.
Compared with the ancient crumbling decrepit shopping centre we have in Lewisham this place is paradise. Its busy, clean and has a large variety of basic and stylish outlets.I remarkable shortage of dirty people, inebriated and offensive people and " no care in the community " people on display made it feel like a safe unthreatening sanitary and pleasant place to be.
Lovely shops but when the shopping centre closed there is no other way to get to the car park, im 6.5 month pregnant and i had to walk with my 3 years old boy all the way from ground floor to the car park where you normally drive into which is very inconvenient. Glade should do something about this car park entrance
The glades is a great shopping centre with lots and lots of my favourite stores.Mac, River Island, H&M, Apple, Zara, Ann Summers, The Perfume Shop, Boots and so much more.Lots more pics to come.
No need to hit Oxford Street . Glades has most of it . Like 80% covered . Has a farmers market too which is best of best . Has couple of other shops, restaurant and pubs around it. hence if one needs anything you have everything at one place . Glad to be located near it
Love this place. I go there often. Went recently and I love all the Christmas decorations. It’s beautiful and warm inside with lots of shops.
Good place to shop! All major brands are here and theres lots of variety. Street food and fruits outside is a plus.
Convenient location, the shopping center always looks really nice and clean, the toilets are also clean and quite spacious (they even have toilets with space for baby buggies), there is a nice selection of stores and everything is well signaled and easy to find.
Nice clean, bright shopping centre with a range of small diverse shops not just the usual chain stores.
A massive shopping mall in Bromley. You will definitely find what you looking for in The Glades for sure. Stunning and beautiful Christmas decorations makes The Glades stand out from most of other similar types of Shopping Malls. Allow at least a half day or probably a day if you really want to browse whats in here. I would recommend this to anyone around :Thanks.
We were mostly impressed with The Glades Shopping Centre. Easy to drive to and housing a wide range of shops and eateries, this clean, modern shopping centre is a great place to do your shopping. At £1.10 per hour, car parking is reasonably priced (it drops to just £1 for the hours between 6pm-midnight). However, since the centre closes very early at 8pm, getting back to your car after closing times a bit of a hassle, while the car park isnt very easy to navigate - particularly since some of the exits are also cordoned off after 8pm.
