Very friendly staff, nice place for lunch with family and friends. Great service. Childrens menu very good. Dogs are welcome. Quite when we visited but still a nice atmosphere. Commonwealth games on the tele, board games and books also available.

Enjoyed vegan dish never sampled before. One favourite I always return back again and again.

Food poor very small portions also reserved table not suitable for eating at so had to move to 2 smaller ones so couldnt sit together as a family. Will not be going here again as there are many much better restaurants in Petersfield.

Had lunch this afternoon with a friend. Food was absolutely amazing and cannot be faulted.However, Id placed an order on the app and received my food but not my drinks. When I queried where they were, I was meant with an eye roll and told I shouldnt order drinks on the app and that if what I ordered wasnt avaliable I couldnt be refunded. I understand that this issue must be frustrating but from someone whod never been here before, I felt like the response I got was quite condescending and unprofessional so maybe get rid of the app or fix the faults.

Good value for money lunchtime meal deals. Serving real ale as well as the usual.

Best thing was the enthusiastic lady serving us. Nachos were passable, coke was delicious and dining was effortless and pleasant. Love the monkey wallpaper, and some of the stranger bric a brac pub decorations.

Always fully stocked, class service, best bartender in southeast hampshire (the rest are alright too)

Decent Stonegate pub in the centre of town. Menu was not as extensive as I expected but the food was good and the real ale was on form

Lovely place. Always so well looked after by Stu, such an attentive member of staff!!Had some small plates to share, perfect to accompany some drinks. Really recommend the foot long onion rings, so delicious!!

What a beautiful, traditional pub. Set in the middle of a gorgeous historical scenery with great, hot food. Amazing customer service. The gentleman who served us looked smart, and couldnt have done more for us. Think he said his name was Geoff or John. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Really disappointed by the burger I had. More like a £4 McDonalds burger than one for £10.My wifes meal was OK though.The service was decent enough.For an upmarket pub they need to serve better food...

Popped in for a spot of lunch, what a lovely clean well Presented pub. Was Greeted by a lovely young man ollie who could not do enough for us. The food was delicious and hot, we will definitely be back.

I wish I could put half a star, then thise would be 4.5 out of 5. The staff are great, the meals are generally really good (the char siu wings are particularly addictiveand the atmosphere is fantastic, even if it can get a bit too rowt for my personal taste on footie nights but thats just my personal taste and its part of the experience for football fans so I am sure they love it. My half-a-star-off niggle is that sometimes the toilets can get a little neglected vutthe staff usually fix it as soon as they have a minute if they are made aware its not good. Repairs can take a while but I am aware thats above the staffs head in most cases, but its definitely something I cant give quite 5 out of 5 for either. Overall a fantastic experience though.

The pub opened at 10am so we went in for breakfast. There was nothing up about serving times and we later found out they start service at 11am from their website. The man in charge informed us they werent serving until 10.30 which was fine and we had a pot of tea. We waited until 10.50 then gave up. We wont be back

Went to the george for an anniversary date with my boyfriend.wen we went in we were immediately seen to by the staff with amazing customer service. Loved the atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious! Hope to go again some time soon.

The tastiest food sharers ever, especially the Cumberland sausage bites, Chicken wings, both Bbq and spicy, and Jalapeno Mozzarella sticks. To name buy a few. A great, wide ranging menu for essentially an old style pub. Great friendly and helpful bar staff, lots of Tvs for live sports, quizzes, live music, Djs etc. Door staff on weekend evenings, but very, very rarely needed. Great Atmosphere, and the George is getting more and more poular every week, with the locals and surrounding village, outwardly at least, it seems to be run super efficiently. I will definitely, happily recommend this Pub for a visit, any day of the week, any time of day. Huge Congratulations.

Met friend here. Good place to meet up for food and drink. Character building, unfortunately been given a trendy make over like so many others over the years. Not my choice but popular place it appears.

Fantastic little pub in the heart of Petersfield - Friendly staff, great atmosphere, a wide selection of food and drink, and a beer garden that catches the sun.Lots of fun on a Friday or Saturday if you like a dance and a lot to drink!Shout-out to Maisy(?for looking after us and making us feel welcome!

Such a great pub. I rarely write reviews but this place needs a 5 star one. A huge shout out to the amazing friendly staff! They were so welcoming to our puppy and kept bringing round top up dog biscuits for him which we really appreciated! I was a little tipsy and didnt thank them properly last night so wanted to write this review. Good precautions for covid, clean loos, a lovely outside undercover area and good food. Outside tv for the football too which was a bonus for my partner. All in all a fab evening. Thanks again

An unfortunately average pub meal. The roast beef in particular was tough and on the dry side. The Yorkshire pudding was flat, stodgy and only slightly crisp.The pie wasn’t anything special. Tasted like something you’d get from the supermarket and bake at home.Overall not a bad experience but won’t be planning to go back.
