Electricity goes out alot. Alot of maintenance issues and water leaks. Pricing is decent. Pool is filthy, chemicals are not kept up with. Otherwise, apartments and area are nice.

If you’re black or of color avoid these apartments!!! The staff will racially profile you esp. black hair short women in office. On my third day staying here there were already 2 complaints filled against me from multiple neighbors. If the neighbors don’t like you (aka of colorthey’ll gang up to file complaints to get you evicted. It is now my 4th day living here and I’ve already had to put in my 30 day notice to vacate. This place is swamped with “Karens.” Move in at ur own risk!! You’ve been warned.Also when I moved in it was 99 degrees and they moved me in a unit where the A/C doesnt even properly work.

This is a great place to live. The staff is top notch, the maintenance staff are wonderful and the grounds are well kept for the most part. All our neighbors are friendly, it’s especially great if you have a dog(s); this is a very dog-friendly community. It’s quiet and I feel safe even walking my dog at night. People do drive too fast through here, that is an issue for me. But I love it here and have recommended it to others.

I moved recently because my rent went up! Since my move day I have been bullied by Dayna who is the manager I believe. First even though my lease stated that my move date was 4/3 I was charged prorated amount for rent, trash and etc. I contact the office and Dayna before my move out date and I was not told anything about prorated amount for April. My lease clearly statsmove in date to expire date. I moved in when it was Remington station and then upgraded to a newer and updated apartment, myself and my children. All together I have been there close to five years. This morning, I was emailed a financial statement showing I owe little over $1800 to clean carpets(we didn’t have pets and there were no stains on only carpeted areas in the apartment),broken toilet which was never fixed, holes on the walls from pictures, charge to prime walls etc. I have lived in another apartments before and never dealt with this type of harassment. Leasing companiesnormally take care off wear and tear if tenants stayed in a unit longer than 4 years correct? I know how I left that place and how well I took care if it when we were there. They know I am in process of purchasing a home and I am sure this is there way of stopping me from my process since I decided not to renew my lease. II know I am not responsible for these false charges. Please please do not move here, getting out after your lease legally ends will be as hard as they are making it for me. I am not giving up and letting them do this to my credit BUT please be warned about the Garratt

Staff is really nice, they are really trying there best in providing services to there residents. However, the appartment are way to old and have way to many issued for the 1600$ a month price tag. I wish that they could acknowledge the status of the appartment in the price a bit better.

Ive lived here for 9 years (under different management). I raised my son here. Its always been a great place for us. I particularly like the new management and their emphasis on resident experience and service. I want to give a special shout out to maintenance supervisor Burgoon for going over and above to help me. Problems are solved quickly and easily. I would recommend this residence to others.

I have been a resident for a few months and we love it here. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and peaceful.We have two big dogs and we love walking them through the trails and golf course.The amenities are very nice.The 24 hr gym/cycling room.Even tho we feel tucked away, we’re close to everything we need.. malls, restaurants, grocery stores etc.Thanks to the office staff for being so helpful!

Since I met the apartment I fell in love, we lived there for 30 months. Great space, everything open, fireplace, anyway. I had no luck with the upstairs neighbors, my house reeked of weed every day. Until rat coconuts began to appear, on the stove, countertops, oven, behind the stove, I sent a message, they put poison there. And to my surprise, coconuts kept showing up, and not just coconuts, mice too. There were several requests and nothing was resolved. With great sadness we left there. And I have friends living in the condo and they talk about the same problem. Renting is not cheap and you still have to go through it. Really, really sad. Because I loved there. : (

Love living in this community. Both the leasing staff & maintenance crew are top notch and have been since we moved to the area back in March. The Garratt offers a number of great amenities while still offering reasonable rent prices. The community is tucked away, keeping things pretty quiet. Overall enjoy living at The Garratt!

I have lived at the Garratt for 2 years and can easily say this is one of the worst companies to rent from in the Columbus area. Maintenance requests require a submitted email then a follow up call typically a few days after to get anything done. Once you call and complain it is same day.The finishes are cheap, the wall paint is cheap, and the showers sound like they can fall through the floor at any minute. Our first week in the apartment, the dining room area flooded due to the gutters being aimed towards the apartment rather than away.All in all not worth the price point and headache that comes with this company.

We lived at the Garratt for a little over a year. Although this community is generally quiet, that’s really where the positives stop. These apartments are just odd.The floorplans seem great at first. But once we were here for a couple weeks, we started to notice a few odd choices. For example, the largest bathroom is the half bath on the main level, whereas the guest and master bathrooms are both the same size – tiny! Why are these bathrooms so small? There’s no counter space. You can’t get an overhead storage rack for the toilet because the towel rack is above the toilet.The showers creak very loudly when in use. It literally sounds like the floor is about to break. It’s so loud that when someone next door is showering, it sounds like they are in your unit. The kitchen is so small. Our pantry is off the kitchen and only has three shelves because the water meter is at the bottom. The under stairs closet seems cute until you must get something out. You will bump your head and curse up a storm. The living room area is so awkward. Our couch and TV unit barely fit in that small area. Because of how the rear door is placed, it makes the area around the fireplace a waste of space. The master bedroom is large but the closets are tiny! Why does the guest bedroom have a walk-in closet? It makes no sense!Also, this place is a bit nasty. We had mice. They got in our food in the pantry. The management team did not care. They stuffed all the holes with steel wool, but we still got a mouse in a sticky trap. Trying to set that thing free outdoors was a terrible experience. They put no effort into turning over this apartment for us prior to moving in. The patio was disgusting and had clothes lines and hooks that have clearly been there for years. Our dryer was non-functioning upon move in. There were old clothes and children’s toys behind the dryer as well. There was a giant ball of dirt and hair at the bottom of our pantry. Moreover, they do not care how the community looks. The gutters were stuffed with leaves and pine straw for the entire time we lived there. Landscaping was infrequent as well. All the communication you get is from corporate, not from the community itself, which feels very cold.Finally, there’s something sketchy going on with how you pay your utilities here. Not only do you pay for your own electricity and water, you also pay a share of the community electricity and water. What!? I have never seen this before. You’d think the amenities and their fees would be included in your rent…but we were never told this prior to moving in.In sum, this is just an OK place to live. Some of the people here seem a bit strange but overall, we just had an average experience. Also, just solve the mouse issue.

Wrong, the damages that happened there were caused by the ceiling falling in. The water dripping through the ceiling in the front bedroom 3 times. The doors were held in by 1/4 inch screws which were reported to you and your maintenance team came and acknowledged this. I also have a copy of the move in inspection which shows that there was a stain in the front bedroom carpet. But it’s funny because when I logged into my account all the maintenance that was called in was removed from my account. I am reporting your company and doing everything I can to ensure everyone knows of the way your company handles issues.What’s really bad is the fact that you were the one who I always went to for the issues I had with this place including reporting the damage to the doors and the bedroom and dining room ceiling.

I have lived at The Garrett Apartments (previously Remington Stationfor 10 years. A quiet neighborhood in Little Turtle. The apartments are newly renovated, spacious, with a new fitness room, swimming pool and rental office that look amazing. What I love most about this community it is convenient to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and in Westerville School District. Living here for 10 years I have seen a lot, but no matter what questions or issue I may have had, there is one person who has always been willing to help, and her name is Crystal Stallard. From day one when Crystal stepped on to this property, she has worked very hard to build relationship with tenants, she is always willing to go the extra mile to find the answer for you. What is impressive I think she knows most of all the tenant’s and the vendors names. Thank you, Crystal, for continuously making me and my family feel at home, and for always going that extra mile.

The staff at The Garrett goes above and beyond! They are very friendly.The pool area is amazing, the fitness center is extremely convenient and has been a life saver on days I needed a quick workout. And I cant wait to use the outdoor area amd get to watch the buckeyes play on thr big screen they have!The bedrooms are very good size and I love the kitchen! And have a ln attached garage is a must, i love this amenity. And I love the resident functions. Very family friendly.

I have been Living with Cortland properties for nearly two years and I love them. I transferred properties about two weeks ago to the Garratt and I love it here. My apartment feels so cozy and it’s spacious. I love the details like the granite countertops and wood burning fireplace. I can’t wait for summer to use the pool and outdoor amenities! The staff in the office have been so helpful to me and accommodating. I am very happy with my move. I love the area its nice and quiet but near by everything.

I viewed this property with my sister and put in an application the same day! This property is absolutely beautiful! I worked with Rachel and Crystal and they are extremely patient and helpful. They made the process easy for me despite some hiccups and were extremely professional and personable. I appreciate them so much for that! The Garrett has been a wonderful place to live so far. The staff, especially Rachel who helped us with the logistics of the move, are by far the best that Ive dealt with in all of my apartment living experiences. Theyre very quick to respond to maintenance requests, the complex is clean; actually set up to be dog friendly with waste bins spaced well across the property; there is valet trash service with a recycling program which needs high praise because so many apartments lack any sort of recycling service at all; and the clubhouse area is well equipped for a decent workout, or cookout with a group of friends. My only negative is that I wish there were more sidewalks, but thats on the city, not the apartment. Highly recommend!

The maintenance is super professional, and prompt. We love our apartment, its very modern and clean. The ammenities make us feel spoiled everyday. This is hands down our favorite place we have lived and we look forward to calling it home for many years. Cant say enough good things.

Toured The Garratt apartments a few Saturdays ago. I thought the finishes and interior fixtures were great. The gray vinyl plank flooring, granite counter tops, and brushed nickel fixtures were really modern and nice. The layout of the upper level apartments is a little odd though. Especially the living room area with the wine bar and caddie-corner fireplace is rather inpractical. The lower level apartment layout however is clean, open, and the kitchen is huge...but no attached garage which is a deal breaker for me. On the brightside I toured with Rachel and she was amazing. She took the time to show us (toured with another couple b/c Rachel was the only one in that day...which was totally fine with me...all the little details and answered all of our questions. Plus she was so positive and upbeat her attitude alone made me consider signing a lease that day. Overall I liked the interior design and location of the property, but decided to buy my own house instead of moving from Abbie Lakes to The Garratt.

This has been one of my favorite properties to live at! I ended up moving out of the city but I loved living there. The features were great- I wish I was going to be there next summer for the outside things like the pool and outdoor movie area! The staff is so nice to talk to and always is there to help! I have lived in this community for over a year and have experienced excellent service from the moment I looked at the property. I had the pleasure of working with Krystal and she really worked hard at finding me the best unit location possible on the property that best fit the needs of my family. I have had very few maintenance issues and the ones I have had were immediately resolved. I love living here and have recommended it to several people. I have just moved to The Garratt the beginning of April, and I love everything about it!! The office staff and the maintenance team have been so amazing and so friendly. It has been a wonderful experience.😊 The office staff is so personable with the residents and they always make everyone feel welcomed. I have had the opportunity to meet some of my neighbors while walking my huskies and everyone is so friendly. This community is at the end of a loop in the Little Turtle area, so we are tucked away near the golf course which makes it so peaceful and I always feel so safe. Its a beautiful community ❤️ I am so excited for the upcoming dog park and amphitheatre to open!! 😊😊😊 I love living here 😊

The place looks beautiful post renovations, the office staff is friendly, and the location is quiet. But don’t expect major issues to be resolved timely. The first major rain we noticed our chimney was leaking fairly badly. One day of rain drenched 3 separate towels. Obviously we put in a maintenance request. They called me for permission to enter but since I was at work I didn’t answer the phone. The leak wasn’t fixed that day. About a week later that called my SO for permission to enter. He granted. They never showed up to fix the issue. The office told us the ticket had been closed and it was possible they fixed the issue outside without needing to enter. We assumed it was fixed. Next time it rained our leak was just as bad. During a week of rain we put in at least 2 additional tickets to have the issue fixed. We had to move our furniture to prevent any more water damage and lay out towels to try to stop the water from getting everywhere. Nothing happened that week. My SO decided that weekend to climb onto the roof to have a look and see if he could see what the problem was. It was immediately obvious. The roof was directing water when it was raining to hit the chimney in one spot where there was obvious rot. We put in another maintenance request. As of now it still hasn’t been resolved. In the most recent request we said if it wasn’t fixed we would be going back up to try and fix it ourselves. The community here is lovely and I’m very disappointed in our experience with this issue.Update: the issue was resolved after several months but communication was still disappointing throughout the experience. The place is still beautiful but the renovations were done quickly and cheaply. They painted doors and other apartment fixtures to make them look new but neglected to prime anything before painting; the result is a lot of chipping paint. Still a lovely community.

The Garratt is a lovey place and has a very lovely staff. Megan, Sherrie, Alyssa, and Crystal have been warm and welcoming every time I stop in. I love bringing friends and family over to see their new clubhouse, and what an extra special treat that we get to indulge in Starbucks coffee and fabulous cocoa! What more could you ask for in a community? We have beautiful homes, a more than proficient maintenance team, brilliant amenities, and smiling faces in the office if we should need anything. I recommend The Garratt to all my friends and family members, and I would recommend anyone reading this also strongly consider The Garratt to be their home.

Amazing renovations have been done to this property since Cortland took over. My family and I moved here temporarily while we look for a house to buy and the space is absolutely sufficient for our family of 5 + two dogs. Any maintenance issues that arise, get fixed very quickly and efficiently. Crystal and Mark from the leasing office are absolutely fantastic, caring and personable. I would absolutely recommend making The Garratt your next place to call home 💙

The Garrett is one of the most hospitable rental properties I have experienced. My first visit was so positive, starting with the sweet, warm welcome by staffer Karlii. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, but never pushy.My living experience here has also been excellent. Service issues are handled expediently and tenants are highly valued.The living space is also very nice - newly remodeled.

There are definitely some things we would like improved here at the Garrett hence the 3 star rating. But we really appreciate Crystal Stallard, Leasing Consultant for the Garrett. She is professional, courteous, capable, efficient, and just an excellent leasing consultant. She really hears your concern and makes you feel important. She accommodates you and your needs to the best of her ability. It’s because of her we chose the Garrett and so, we would without a doubt give her a 5 star! Thanks Crystal for your hard work.

I lived at Remington Station nearly 9 years and enjoyed the area and although the units are outdated Cortland is now remodeling every one of them. My complaint, and Im sure many people would agree with me is upon moving out having given proper notice and paying a $100 cleaning fee I have yet to receive my deposit nearly 2 1/2 months later. Having called the office twice I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks more to process a deposit fee refund, 110 to 120 days seems a very excessive time to wait for money to be returned. I asked each time to speak to the complex manager and was told each time she was not available and requested a return call in order to express my frustration but have not received a return call to date leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Bottom line, deposits should be returned in a timely fashion and this left me unable to even as a 9 year renter to give the complex my recommendation! An update, after my calls to the office my deposit refund arrived today, it pays too make your feelings known!

The move-in process was amazing. Marc did a great job of answering any questions I had. He was SO flexible & understanding with everything from scheduling a viewing.... the Friday evening before Christmas!.... to sticking around to wait for me on move-in day. Ask for Marc if you want a smooth, comfortable & informed moving experience!The rest of the leasing staff are extremely personable and easy to talk to. They host community nights for the residents and I was surprised to see just how much fun they are! I "stopped by" lastnight and didnt end up going home until 2 hours later!! They even played with my 15 month old daughter, gave her snacks and let her explore the office....Such a sweet group of people!I havent been here long, but so far: GREAT staff, GREAT apartment and GREAT experience

Staff is FANTASTIC & EXTREMELY HELPFUL. People that complain about them are probably rude to begin with because I came & toured 2-3x before I even applied & knew I wanted to live here & each time they were polite and updated me on leasing specials. Apartments are very spacious and parking is convenient. Sometimes there could be more visitor parking, but the garages and assigned spots are convenient for those of us that actually live here. My neighbors are not loud at all and the property has been consistently plowed the last few weeks which is great because most people can’t drive in snow, let alone navigate a complex. Maintenance is timely and always gets the job done. I love it!

Beautiful, quiet setting with large floor plans. Front office staff is friendly, helpful, and makes a concerted effort to provide resident activities such as yoga classes, pool parties, and taco nights. I was nervous about the new management at first, but Cortland has brought many wonderful updates to RS and is working to keep the place at its best! Its be a pleasure to live here!

It has been a positive experience so far at Remington Station (RS). In the beginning, things were a bit shaky with the new role over of management. However, the new team managed to get a hold of things and turn it around. RS has done their best to accommodate my family in feeling comfortable and satisfied during our stay. We are very excited for all the new renovations and services being completed around the community. We appreciate the staff for their hard work and dedication in ensuring we receive the best service possible. I love my newly renovated home. It is very nice and spacious with updated amenities throughout. The area is very quiet . There are many upgrades outside such as new roofing, repaving the grounds and exterior painting . Community tenant appreciation days are also an extra bonus to allow neighbors to meet and socialize.

I must say the area is nice and the people are pleasant. But what we pay in rent, it should be nicer. The Windows are drafty. The utility bills are very high. Floors creek and slanted. The toilets constantly need worked on. Facets are old and need replaced. The drawers in the cabinets jam up all the time.We have been here over 2 years and we have to call for maintenance about every month. Good luck actually getting it fixed, thats if they show up.We are finally moving. It could be very nice if they would just update these old apartments.

My family and I have lived at Remington Station for about 3 years now. We love the neighborhood and the area is always well taken care of and feels safe and quiet. Recently we had a situation where our upstairs neighbor had a plumbing issue and our apartment took a lot of water. There was a lot of damage caused to the light fixtures and the walls. Luckily not much of my personal belongings were damaged since we were home at the time of the leak and were able to quickly move most of our things out of the way. The staff at Remington Station handled the situation excellently. Maintenance was on it right away and got the water turned off and Max, the property manager was called and he came rather quickly to check on us. He was very apologetic about the situation and he made sure to help us with dinner for the night, as our oven was pretty wet from the leak. They also put out an emergency call to the carpet contractor that they use and they were at my place within the hour and quickly had the carpet water cleaned up. The next day I met with Max and we agreed that I would need a new unit. He gave me the address of all of the available units and after I picked the one that I wanted, he made sure to have the paint and maintenance crew make that unit a priority so that we could get moved quickly. He also worked out a rent compensation deal to help compensate my family for the troubles. I have to say that I was impressed with how Max and the staff at Remington Station stepped up to help us out.
