Privilege
Magnificent Place ....My favourite part of Geelong .
Friendly helpful people. If youre not familiar with the Botanic Gardens, use Google map nav to guide you. There are a few signs giving directions but the roads are quite winding, easy to miss a turn.
MoreWonderful well maintained gardens. Great lawn areas for picnics under magnificent large trees. A Chinese garden with a beautiful gingko tree, unique bark.
MoreFree, could spend 1 hour there. Free parking ! Beautiful! Worth a visit
Awesome place for a walk with dogs, such a large park. Or just to relax and have lunch like my Wife and I did. Bench tables and toilets are available in some areas. quiet except for some road noise
MoreLove it so neat amazing very neat I spent over hour here must do place
Always a pleasure to watch the talented actors perform in the beautiful Botanical gardens of Geelong. Were so lucky to have such a stunning and well looked after place to enjoy with the family
MoreBeautiful gardens. Very well kept. Great coffee and pastie from the Tea Rooms
The plants are spectacular! Such a great variety of colours and species that appear well looked after. The water fountains went well with the garden and shaded areas are great for avoiding the heat in Summer. Really enjoyed the different sections of the garden that are adapted to suit different climate conditions like the glasshouse for tropical gardens and a sandy area for arid environment plants.
MoreAbsolutely fantastic gardens well worth a visit
First visit to this botanical garden. It is a compact but full of variety of flora in this garden. Most of plants, flowers and shrubs cam be found here. However, as i m not a botanist, i may be wrong. Surely, it is dilligently arranged based by climatic zone. It also has temperature controlled room for tropical one. Tho, it has less green area to sit down and picnic inside the garden but outside, it has plenty room. 2 car parks on the side of enterance door.Surely it is recommended for anyone including for relaxation and learning even just jogging.
MoreBeautiful gardens so peaceful and relaxing
Beautiful, no matter what the season or weather! So many trees, flowering shrubs, even herbs and legumes, plus wide expanses of lush green lawns. Lots of seats to stop, rest, watch the birds etc. The tearooms/coffee shop serves very good coffee and food for a light lunch or a snack ( but do NOT feed any birds!)
MoreBeautiful and extensive botanical gardens. There is such a range of plants in these gardens including the wonderful 21st Century garden. You could enjoy several hours here.
MoreAbsolutely beautiful garden.. love the Autumn hues
Really great botanical garden. Really enjoyable stroll. It has a better layout than Melbourne royal Botanic gardens imo. Kid friendly areas to explore and engage with the spaces.
MoreWonderful garden, this was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first time.
MoreNice peaceful place, takes me home, to where I lived...
Great family place to visit an just wander play an chat. We loved it
Great sale on Wednesday mornings. Very good value plants and helpful volunteers. Great variety. And a lovely walk through gardens with coffee at the cafe. Great place.
MoreRecommended place when you visit Geelong. Very quiet and well maintain. Close to Eastern Beach. So just one go. Huge parking area.
MoreVery nice place to visit especially in a hot day, its so lovely to be there in the shade of the trees, but Guys do something about the mosquitoes otherwise your visitors can be eaten alive 😄
Morebeautiful place with different types of trees, only 50 minutes drive away from Melbourne. but be careful with mosquitoes while at Geelong Botanical Garden...
MoreBeautiful gardens with plenty of places to explore. Includes a tropical hot house and has a nice cafe for a coffee and something to eat. A really nice place to bring the kids and have a picnic.
MoreBeautiful garden with lovely plantings, some interesting historical features and a small cafe. We always enjoy our visit. It was especially nice and cool today and a respite from all the activity on the foreshore.
MoreCome and see one of the oldest living Trees . Only one beautiful part, there is lots. I could spend the whole day here.Totally and utterly loved it... Well Done to the Crew that looks after the grounds. If you see the Crew around let give them a rhinos up..Great job Geelong. 💯💖💯
MorePretty well kept and amazing views! I didnt use any facilities so I am rating 4 stars to play it safe and not make a fake rating! Very enjoyable, minus the mosquitoes
MoreBeautiful gardens containing many heritage listed trees, great place for a picnic on a warm day, the coffee shop has good coffee and a selection of snacks. The gardens are an easy stroll, very pleasant and interesting. If you dont know the names of the plants and trees, most of them have name tags with the botanical and common names.👍👍👍👍👍
MoreGeelong one of the best cities in Victoria, the botanical gardens piece of art we loved it.
MoreVisited the new conservatory today. Absolutely breathtaking. So much work has obviously gone into it! So many plants you dont get to see very often in Victoria.
MoreGorgeous garden and worth to visit every weekend. Absolutely love this place. Strongly recommend to family and friends.
MoreThis place is amazing , really good place for hang out with kids and friends .
I love my wife and I wanted to take her here to admire this beautiful garden. I really enjoyed every minute with her, as I held her hand. The scenery was gorgeous with all the beautiful flowers blooming around us.
MoreBeautifully curated garden and love the little cafe there. Great place to relax, explore and learn.
MoreRefreshing gardens to walk through and forget about the hustle and bustle of tidy Geelong. Very child friendly too.
MoreAmazingly beautiful and quiet garden. I would love to visit again and again.
Beautiful gardens. Lovely place to look around and enjoy the plants
Good nice place to visit with large variety of flowers
Very clean gardens, easy layout and ample parking.
A rich variety of different shrubs and trees, very peaceful and numerous native species as well. Fantastic on a cool winters day.
MoreLovely garden, and a beautiful place for a wedding. The paths and plants really make you feel in a secluded and well shaded natural garden, using a relatively small space really well. There are toilets, but they are just rudimentary, i found them clean. Some lovely little shelters and rotunda dotted around. And the gates at the entry overlook the bay. We really enjoyed it.
MoreThe fact that this cafe is in such beautiful place means its worth visiting. I didnt get a coffee on my last visit however I have had coffee there in the past which was good. My daughter had a hot chocolate and was happy with it!But yes, if you get the opportunity to go there and walk around the gardens you wont regret it.Very grounding and soothing place to be
MoreWhat a hidden wonder. Go take a book and relax. Grab a coffee at the cafe and watch the world go by.
MoreBeautiful surroundings. Great place for a picnic or casual stroll. The slices at the cafe are delicious!
MoreGreat variety of plants. Highly recommended for nature enthusiasts 👍😀
Beautiful, well kept botanical gardens with lots of small paths and areas to sneak off to and see the beautiful birds and butterflies that are attracted to the area. I would advise picking up the map so you can check out the special plants that are there - I cant remember exactly, but theres a good number of heritage listed trees that are worth seeing just because you may find it hard to see them elsewhere! A giant redwood (Sequoiais one of the areas, which is definitely worth seeing as well as a plant that looks like its being chained to the ground - I dont remember what its called but it looks impressive and Ive definitely never seen one before!A bonus is that entrance is free and there is a small outdoor cafe that I assume is open seasonally (?- sadly it wasnt open when I was visiting. It also wasnt crowded when I visited, which made the experience even more enjoyable. With its location so close to the waterfront, its worth visiting if youre in the area to take a break or just to see the butterflies!
MoreLove this place. In my opinion, streets ahead of Melbourne Botanical Gardens. This garden has so much variety and viewing the cottage garden in spring and summer is a must. Have spoken to a few of the staff, and theyve all been extremely friendly and happy to answer questions about plants.
MoreI have never seen such variety of plants and tress in one garden. Must see !
Beautiful, well maintained gardens. So peaceful and quiet. Perfect setting for a casual walk, picnic lunch, wedding or photos!
MoreQuirky. Easy to get around .Compact. Different themed gardens. Relaxing Cafe.
