A 3-story renovated mill with a rooftop bar offering charcuterie, gourmet mains & a variety of gins.
Massive shout out to Paulo who was an outstanding waiter on our function. He definitely deserves praise or a bonus he was the epitome of customer service and we loved it thank you Paulo!
I dont actually drink gin but went out with some mates who do. They said it was great gin! I still had a great time. Great venue
We went in the restaurant with my boyfriend and really appreciated the attention of the waitstaff. The chef selection was amazing and the creme brûlée was awesome ! thanks ! :)
We experience pure racism from a worker (do not know her nameliterally my mood has been ruined as I thought we were not living in America. Non the less a friendly staff came to our rescue and treated us like humans (dont know her name but she has short hair). I guess there is good people in the world.
Would not recommend. We got here and grabbed an extra chair from another table. When my husband got up a waitress came and grabbed the chair and when I let her know someone was sitting there she just said only 4 chairs per table and this is reserved. There was a table behind us that became empty and I then asked her if we could move there then. She replied by saying no it’s reserved. Literally a few minutes later a couple walked in and she let them sit there even though they hadn’t reserved it. We then asked her to clear our table of the glasses from the previous people and she said she’s getting there. She then proceeded to clear other tables that had become empty wayyy after the one we were sitting on. Thank God another waitress walked past and she cleaned up our table straight away. She had short hair. Didn’t get her name but she was lovely. I will not be coming back here due to that first waitress and her rude treatment. I feel like it was racism because she blatantly treated everyone else better than she treated us
Love it here! Its a fun and delicious experience, and also a surprise to spin the board and try and new gin!
Great atmosphere, 👍 The Gin Spin well worth it. The cuisine was ample to share, my favourite was the croquettes a must.
Cant rate this place highly enough. The food was outstanding, we had the chefs choice selection thing, just a great medely of flavours and very reasonable pricing. But most impressively was the service - not enough to be annoying, just great service and timing. Very very happy
Booked for the selection of gins and wasnt disappointed with this. However, thought we could have a substantial meal here and was greatly disappointed. $35 for a roughly 150-200g piece of pork belly, with a few leaves of kale, after being instructed that it was a tapas style menu. Shocked to see one piece of belly come out for 4 people, meat over cooked and crackling, sad and soggy. $22 for 3 small slices of low grade tuna tataki and a slight brush of an accompanying sauce. Working in the industry, I understand times are tough and expenses are higher than usual, but saddened to see this reflected in the food offerings. Croquettes a huge miss as theyre predominantly potato with morsels of corn and a lick of manchego. Go for the drinks, skip the food. On our way now for a more substantial meal.
Probably one of the most instagramable locations in Perth. A gin lovers wet dream. Food quality is sensational. Thats all I got to say. 5 stars.
Attended cocktail masterclass in early July with a friend (her birthday present). One of the best experiences I have had in my life. Truly GINcredible :D. Last night we returned for a seafood saturday experience, which was pretty good. Combo prices extremely reasonable. Worth particular mention are the staff. On both occasions the level of service and hospitality was outstanding. Perth may be renowned for its "meh" level of service - thats because theyre all here!
Food was delicious! Small menu but a variety of options for anyone. We didn’t have cocktails but definitely will be back for some.
Food and drinks were incredible as always, but the highlight of the night was the service by Roisin. Will definitely be coming back each week to have the pleasure of being served by her. Incredible venue with even better staff.
Terrible experience.Ordered the $60 per head feast which was not even close to a feast. One sort of main with some small sides, which did not come close to feeding our group of 7. In addition had to wait for hours for each tiny course to come out. Staff member on her final shift was very nice but can see why she was leaving. Very dysfunctional place.
Great place, but the mens toilet layout is very unusual. 0/10 for architectural and functional design. Drinks are nice.
Terrible toilet design, it is possible that the layout of the utilities in the male bathroom does not conform to the relevant ANZS (Australian/New Zealand Standards).- When I entered i saw that the hand wash basin looked like a urinary recepticle.- There is a urinal blocking access/egress to the paper towels and/or hand drying system- One of the urinal users can be hit by the door whilst urinating- Large shared urinal is too low, with a roof and there was lots of precipitation on that roof, so to speak...Overall? Great bar, good vibes and helpful staff. 4/5
Lovely meal never disappoints and drink selections awesome .. whiskey 🥃 sours great and staff very attentive and work hardBarry and Margaret
For us, it was all about the waitress. We went for dinner on Saturday night.I’d give the food and cocktails five stars. We had the Flour Feast and would recommend it. Plenty to eat.The drinks take too long to come (15-20 minutesand it’s probably noisier than a lot of people would want when eating dinner. On those points I’d drop the score. But, our waitress for the evening (I think she has a Colombian accent but please forgive if that’s wrongmore than made up for anything else. In a time when it’s hard to find staff. She is worth her weight in gold. Absolutely brilliant.
Great service from Sophia, she was very helpful and super friendly! All the food was fabulous, no complaints here. The bread, the crouquettes and the gnocchi dishes were exceptional! We got lucky and walked in without a reservation and they accodated us, but Id advised booking head. Thanks for a good night!
We just wanted a quick bite to eat and came across the flour factory and decided to give it a try. Ordered our food and the bread came out almost straight away. An hour later we were wondering where the rest of our food was. We had ordered in the pub setting not the restaurant. I then asked and one of the waiters said she would check and then found out that the bartender Rhi who had taken our order had put our bread as the starter and the rest as our mains but never told the kitchen we were ready for our mains. Not sure why you would do this in the busy side of the pub, understandable in the restaurant. The other waiter said lucky we had told her otherwise we would never have gotten our food. Such a shame to give a bad review as the food was nice but when you’re dining in an expensive environment I would have expected better. No compensation or even an apology. Very disappointing for a higher end restaurant.
the gnocchi was TO DIE for!!!! all the food that came out was amazing and the staff were so kind too
Fantastic place for after work drinks and THE place if youre a Gin connoisseur. Not sure which Gin, then spin the wheel and let see what Fin your fate holds.
Unfriendly staff. Rolling eyes at me soon as i walked in. So mamy forms and charges to just book a bday table.I was finally about to book my table when the manager(just as unfriendly as the stafflast min pretends to realise table was just “booked” apparently. There was no mention of someone being interested in the table. I made the effort to go all the way there and it was a fiasco. The new venue i booked was much hassle free and friendly booked it woth one phone call which is the way it should be! Not charging 15$ pp for a bday booking plus unfriendly seevice wont be visiting the glour factory again nor recommend to friends
The most perfect wedding venue! My partner and I got married here on 16.04.2022, we could not have asked for a better venue. Kahla, the coordinator, was amazing and takes the stress out of organising the food and drinks and other big ticket items for set up. The food was delicious and all our guests loved what was on offer. The upstairs area was perfect for the ceremony and reception, we had a cocktail style set up and were able to set it up exactly how we wanted. The Flour Factory were very accommodating and I could not have asked for a more perfect day. I would recommend to anyone looking for an inner city venue for their wedding with beautiful high wooden beam ceilings and a blend of outdoor in The Sherry (a courtyard style areaand the open area we used for the ceremony which then turned into a dance floor. Thanks for having us and we cant wait to be back and celebrate many more occasions here.
Nice venue, staff are great. Drinks are nice but very close to too pricey and the food not bad. I will have to go for another visit and really give the food menu ago before giving 5 stars.
So good!!! from drink, food, atmosphere to service. Highly recommend!👍🏻
We popped in on a Wednesday night for their Drink and Dine Package, $79 for a delicious four course meal and free flowing drinks for 90 mins! It was INCREDIBLE… from the food to the drinks and BIG shout out to their incredible staff!!! Bonnie looked after us and she was just wonderful!
Hard to rate this particular visit as the first time we visited it was so busy we walked straight through. This time on a covid stricken night in Perth where everywhere was quiet, we had a Gin Fizz and a Red Wine, both nice.Overall, I have rated it be fair but will make sure we are with a party next time.
Had some great gin related shenanigans on a Wednesday night. The gracious Bonnie was kind enough to be serving us that night and had excellent knowledge of gins and served up some fantastic combos. My thanks goes to Bonnie for making the night grand.Absolutely love this place. Will become my new regular. Staff are great and very friendly, the range of gins is huge and the atmosphere is excellent. See you all next Wednesday!
lively place for a gin. between 5pm-6pm there is a $10 gin special which is delicious. plenty of seating but you may have to share a table with others.
We went to a gin masterclass hosted by Issac.Issac was knowledgeable and very friendly, for the cost per ticket its definitely worth checking it out, you get a welcome drink and three tasters plus food at the end.
An enjoyable Atmosphere for dining, If you should plan on a group catch up for a delicious cocktails, the Flour Factory would be right up that ally! However, we opted for dinner date night and found that it was a bit too ‘Noisy’ for our preference and did not stay long, still an enjoyable experience though. It was most pleasing that The Lychee Gin cocktail we had and our meals (gnocchi, potatoes with blood orange & the asparaguswere delicious, each dish was cooked to perfection.
Prebooked and order the chef’s selection chartreuse platters for 10 people. The food was AMAZING and beyond exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive to us. The drinks were delicious. We had a fabulous evening. Thank you so much
We went there to celebrate birthday and chose the gin gala dinner. Everything was perfect and loved that we had one craft gin per dish. The variety and combination was awesome. The lamb was the best Ive had!. Really worth the $85pp. You get 4 different craft gins and to accompany each of rhe 4 dishes.
Weve gone here a few times in the past for food and drinks and overall I think the food has gone downhill compared to when weve visited in the past. For example the lamb ribs, used to be 6 generously sized sticky sherry glazed ribs which was melt in your mouth delicious. Now theyre 5 mini ribs with a very sour aftertaste, even though the description and price on the menu is the same as before. The cocktails however are still very tasty and is the only redeeming feature, otherwise I wouldve given a 1 star review.
Nice cocktails and friendly service. I liked the lamb ribs I had.
Harcourts Initiative had their EOFY lunch at The Flour Factory and it was fantastic! The food was amazing, staff were great, ambience in the place was stunning. Gin spin was the must-do which we did! Highly recommend! ❤👌
Walk pass this place a few times and have been meaning to try this place. We decided to go on a Thrusday, which was my BF and I pay day. We were greeted with a friendly smile and lovely service with the drinks to the ordering. We ordered the Lamb Ribs & Smoked Chicken. The Lamb ribs, was superb, had that light bounce in the meat. The flavours burst of slight sweetness from the honey, zen and the freshness from the mint. Nothing Ive tried. However not understanding tho, how come we were give 5 an odd number of pieces, is it to make someone feel that one person loved it more than the other or marketing to order another plate. Tapas is sharing right!I wait awhile for the Smoked Chicken maybe 20 mins, at the time after my BF finished his. I saw, a staff coming and asked if my meal was coming out shortly, she had went down stairs and come out with it. Making me wonder that the lady who had taken our order, suddenly forgot about us even though we were the only ones, in the restaurant area at the time. The chicken was moist, had the crunch of the vegetables but salty from the pancetta for my liking. I initially thought the place was a Restaurant serving main substantial meals. Until, it came to paying time.It was a chef who had finalised our payment, she never asked us our was the meal? (Guess she will have to read thisJust repeated the order and told us the total bill and whether we wanted to split the bill.I told her that we had waited awhile for the Smoked Chicken when he had finished his meal. Her response was this is a tapas serving, thats when it clicked. For a tapas at least 2 dishes should come out at the same time. And being tapas, why are the prices a similar of a main dish. With the lamb ribs what the reason for serving an odd piece of five (5ribs. Isnt tapas about sharing. Im not understanding it, is it a marketing strategy so can order another plate or .....Overall, the flavour is what got the 3 stars and the appearance of the venue, however customer service didnt follow through at the end. Could do some improvement on this side. The price, isnt worthy it plus the service. I wouldnt be returning.
The Flour Factory has a great atmosphere. The drinks are a little pricey but it worth it for a occasional outing. The venue it self looks great and the deco is lovely. This is a great place for a party and the get together. The food is equally lovely and taste great.I have been here a few time and each time has been an experience. On a Friday they have a DJ and again it is packed with people after work.
The flour factory is a bit of a busy place even with all the restrictions in place so it does take time to get a drink. However, its worth the wait if youre going for a cocktail. I had the cherry blossom which I highly recommend if you like your sweeter cocktails or the passionfruit julep for a stronger finish.Friendly staff and good atmosphere, the only thing I would have to pick on would be the staff not wiping down the tables before new people sit at them. Other thank that, it should be a go to spot 😊
Stumbled upon this place when I was within Northbridge area. Ordered the Feed me course, which was $55 each and was presented a selection of dishes pre-selected by chef. For starters, we had house bread with lemon myrtle butter which was amazing, with spice almonds and pumpkin puree. Next up was sticky lamb ribs, which just cooked to perfection and slide off the bone, accompanied with green beans, fish with leek and roasted potatoes. By then, we were stuffed but how can a set menu not end with dessert. The hazelnut tart was a perfect touch with not being overly sweet and came with gin infused cream as snow flake on the top. I couldnt fault on any of the dishes as everything was delicious and had an interesting twist to it. Such as serving with gin infused mayo or cumin with dukkah was caramelised with the almonds. If you come here, I highly recommend you to order the Feed Me set. Totally worth it! Also dont forget to try one of their 300 gins!
🥒🥬🥦VEGANALERT🌶🍄🍅⠀1. GNOCCHI2. GREEN BEANS3. CRISPY PHOTATOES⠀Ill give you 4 thumbs up!!(5max)👍👍👍👍👍⠀😊The restaurant has many vegan and gluten free options!😋The combination of green beans with little radishes was yummy also I like how my Gnocchi was crispy
The venue is big and loud but if you want to taste great cocktails based on gin, thats the place! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very original way with the 12 dollar rulet for gin cocktail. Probably wont go there for the first day dinner but first date cocktail evening - yes!
Gin, Gin and mire gin! From all over the world. Restaurant food is also very good. A great bar to meet up with friends.
Enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent selection of Gins for their New Years Eve Ginner.
We enjoyed an intimate little after work shin-dig up in The Sherry Rooftop Bar, above the main Flour Factory restaurant/bar area and we were very pleased with the outcome. The staff were kind and accommodating, and gave us great details about each dish served. The food and drinks were superb. Highly recommend The Sherry for small functions and get-togethers.
Went on a Monday night, it was a bit more quiet but it was still a great atmosphere here. Make sure you try out the gin wheel, $12 for a gin drink made based on where the wheel lands. Cool novelty and the drink was nice
The Lamb Ramp was good and tender. Decently price.I believed their Lamb Shoulder dish would be great too, however, you would need a min of 4 person to qualify for their "Feed Me" menu requirements, before you can order the lamb shoulder...
There are two options, the social crowed on the left which includes a bar menu and then the high quality small ‘The Sherry’ restaurant on the right. I’m on the right tonight with the crispy pork belly, a waitress who knows her wines and a professional hospitality crew who treat their customers with a fine dinning service. wow! There is a bit of noise so not ideal on a Saturday night for a romantic dinner unless you want to say dirty things to each other, because no one else will hear. Great venue, great service, great food, great wine! Perth has changed.
The atmosphere is pretty chill; great drinks overall. Staff are pretty knowledgeable and experienced. (The Gin wheels pretty fun; absolutely must try if one wants to try out new drinks)
