The new renovations look amazing unfortunately cant say the same about the food pretty average for a takeaway can honestly say Ive had better from around town. Thw staff are nice and friendly so thats a bonus

New owner got No idea about a decent meal, I can count the amount chips, you get more chips at Lobbys.

Went here today to give them a go instead of where I would normally go, I was not disappointed!!! The food was really nice and very tasty, The service was above average, the gentleman who made my food heard as I was ordering it heard that I was diabetic and cant have sugar, he went out of his way to check the ingredients of the mayo and let me know that it contained sugar. I was very impressed. we loved our food so now I will be coming here for my food now. Well done to the new owners of the store, you are all fabulous, thankyou for the care you took with our food

We thought wed try The Fish Inn with the new management.Unfortunately we had to throw most of it out. (While we were waiting, one other customer pointed out that the guy making the burgers was using his bare hands to put the salad on it. He also said: I hope hes washed his hands...)It is obvious that the new owners have never had a takeaway. Please guys, get some help as you wont last long - and we want you too!Brooke was lovely with customer service. Also, the place looks great with the new renovations guys.Very disappointing. Please get some advice from other takeaways or you wont be in business for long unfortunately.

Good to see the doors reopen. Ordered the Chicken Burger for lunch! Real breast, super moist cooked well loved it. Will be back

Just had lunch there today and food was amazing! plain hamburger with chips cant go wrong! would also like to add i had high expectations as i know the cook was once the head chef at the Plunge in town (hence bare hands, as chefs wash them regularly). well done and good luck for the future

Apparently opened today.Understaffed, disorganised, hamburger cooked after 45 mins and still waiting on chips. Sorry guys but not well thought out disappointing as at one stage food was ok 12 months ago.Walked away to eat elsewhere!

This was horrible, we had over cooked potato scallops, bright yellow chips 🤷‍♀️ and fish so oily you couldnt even eat it, so disappointing. Dont waste your money here!

I know everyone has different likes and dislikes but there was no mistaking soggy, oily fish and chips. They were inedible.

Small friendly local Fish Shop set apart from the main town area always supplying good Fish & Chips with that friendly smile.Owners are locals providing a great service to the local community.Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Fish and chips I rembered eating as a kid every Friday. Fresh flaky Fish in a crispy and thin batter. Very reasonably priced and friendly and helpful staff.

They dont pick up on there mobile phone for the shop even when there clearly not busy called twice while standing out the front of the shop the lady was to busy gas bagging on top during Covid there store not allowed more than two when I was waiting out front for room people kept piling into the shop and yet made to wait 15mins and no one even tryed to serve me.....crapest service ever......

Rude staff. Watched one employee cough on food and eat chips from a customers order as they wrapped it. Appalling customer service and swearing at customers. Staff attitude is that you’re inconveniencing them by ordering from them.

I tell you I had my doubts after reading some of the reviews. But my experience today was nothing short of exceptional. The two ladies behind the counter were nothing but helpful and very nice to talk to. I had to wait a bit for my order but they told me the waiting time when I ordered. We had a piece of fish each and a small chips. I could not fault the food. The fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were very nice and fresh. As a new person to the area this will become a regular place for me. To all the whingers, don’t go back and maybe I won’t have to wait so long next time. But in saying that I didn’t mind waiting for the quality food I got.

I quite enjoy this place for some fish and chips. The portion sizes are quite generous and the pricing is pretty standard for what you receive.

I HAVE JUST MOVED TO FORSTER AND I THOUGHT I WOULD GET SOME FISH AND CHIPS. IT WAS THE WORST GREASY PIECE OF FISH I HAVE HAD FOR MANY YEARS. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. ALSO THE SERVICE FROM A YOUNG LADY WAS SHOCKING, JUST LEFT ME STANDING, WITHOUT TAKING MY ORDER FOR 7 MINUTES.

Positives:Good price for chips.Quick service.The burgers taste okay...Negatives:The fish & chips are extremely oily even for fish & chips.Sometimes if your unlucky the chips are slightly undercookedThe Calamari & Scallops are always undercooked.some fish cocktails are small enough that they should be call fish bites that are mostly just made out of batter

Went in to order fish and chips. Asked The lady serving what size serves of chips they had only to be barked at by the cook “It’s on the wall behind you “.Then because of social distancing was ordered out side , apparently because a man was trying to come back in to pay for his order. The chip Nazzi has no people skills what so ever. She is rude and arrogant. The food was ok.

Worst customer service ever. Sitting there waiting for our food listening to them yell at their customers when they asked about theirs. In comes new customers and right away they yelled at them saying "if you just came in its a 40min wait youre not important!". When ours came they dumped on the bench in 2 piles without saying a single word and I wasnt sure if both were ours so I asked excuse me is that ours and the lady turns around and goes what! Thats your chips! Seriously whoever have this place positive reviews must be friends.

Spent $60 on soggy chips, frozen fish and frozen calamari that looked like they were bought from the supermarket.Staff customer service left much to be desired and the customers almost seemed to be an inconvenience to their day.Even asking for a single slice of lemon to go with my two pieces of “fish” which I would have thought would be standard was met with “I will have to go see if we have any out the back”If you are in Forster for a visit like myself and my family, I would seriously urge you to stay clear of this place as there are many other fish and chip shops around.2/10 from me and that’s being generous...

Massive servings of soggy chips (a large is an entire fryer basket full). A $50 family pack comes with NO lemon or tartare sauce. Food was overly salted. Fish was good. Service was mixed, one helpful staff member, one kind of rude. Value for money maybe?It made an impression, but a very mixed one.

Food was dissapointing. Fake calamarie and the selection of fish on the menu is limited to hoki - and hoki.Chips were ok thoughthe service was friendly enough however the crass and occer language coming from the cooks was so loud we could hear it out front and therefore was very off putting

It’s 2019. How people can run a business without offering EFTPOS facilities is beyond me. On top of this, customer service is appalling. You’d think they would be trying to compete given there are 2 fish & chip shops within 500m of it... head there instead.

Okay so to start offThere phone is always engaged, they need a new number.Last few times we have been there they havent had scollops, bread rolls or even gravy. Owners are rude, food wasnt cooked properly.

Lady was disgustingly rude and just playing on her phone. Went there at 11:15am to order lunch, it came to $25.80 and the rude lady couldn’t accept my $50 note because ‘why would I have change for that this early in the morning, I can’t take that’ I then actually had to buy my lunch elsewhere because she refused to take it. It’s. I’m a local and have gone here for years but will definitely be changing that. This place has seriously gone downhill

absolutely disgusted. walked into the filthy take away shop, expecting to be greeted but instead completely ignored and disregarded by the lady at the counter as she continued her own conversation. I had to ask her if i could order and she rolled her eyes and agreed. will not be going back

Always buy burgers from here when in Foster. Did so again today, food was ok but was quite shock by the fowl language coming from both the women working there. It was just general conversation between the two of them not directed towards customers but definitely No way to run a business.

Just had the worst calamari Ive ever eaten. It was like eating flour. The potato scallops were over cooked and greasy and they left a gross greasy taste in my mouth. The chips were average as well. Sorry wont be back

Had an awesome bacon and egg roll today. For once not a hard overdone egg.Nice bread roll and not a hideous hamburger bun in site.Friendly service too.

Wow the customer service here is absolutely disgusting! Went in to make an order & the lady behind the counter was so incredibly rude because I didnt have anything smaller than a $50 note! I offered other change to help & she told me she has nothing & as if that would help, slammed her hands down just give it here, hand over the $50! I could of got change from next door but I was in shock & just walked out as I felt so embarrassed by the way i was spoken too! my family had already ordered chips so I sat out the front & ate with them, they obviously didnt care because they didnt come out with any apology! I cant fault the chips they were lovely, but the service was terrible, have never been spoken that rudely before!
