The Fireplace - New World Manila Bay Hotel - Steak house in Manila, Philippines
Its a good hotel but the rooms are slightly dated with an awkward layout in the bathroom . The breakfast menu waz almost too much choice but waz delicious and the location waz great in the heart of Malate
The quality of the Hotel is excellent. Well built, and spacious. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is very large and well laid out. Room service was quick and the quality of the food excellent. If you get the chance have the Carbonara in the Bar/Restaurant, it was too good! The staff is out of this world, we were completely spoiled by them during our stay. We are looking forward to coming back for a visit in January, and we will be booking a stay here:)
So good and nice room...!
Exceptional Service from the staffs ofcourse its new coast but a little concern I think the TV and Telephone are too dated, I suggest to just upgrade to smart TV and updated phone but other than that I recommend this place.
Nice function room. Spacious.
We stayed here for 3days. We left a belonging during our stay. The Concierge Department was very accommodating with our request to return our item via Grab. I would like to specially mention Rod, Ced, Kim, PJ and Hikaru. Thank you so much for your service. We are definitely going back here! Beside the excellent service of this hotel, I enjoyed the casino nearby which makes the hotel easily accessible. Eat, sleep, play repeat!
Friendly staff. Friendly room service. Food also delicious
Drilling noise woke me up around 9am at the peak of my slumber. The excuse is that they have a scheduled maintenance on the floor where im at. Way to go for putting me on that floor! Maintenance work in the morning? Wow!
Long-standing hotel, complete equipment, delicious food, casino on the first floor (can play Texas Holdem)
Because Rod at the front desk was very helpful, lovely and funny.Outstanding room, great amenities and I would strongly recommend the buffet breakfast.Would stay here next time.
We feel that this hotel has suffered from the extended closure during COVID, where perhaps the ventilation/ AC was shut down for 6+ months. The hotel has an odour, similar to wet dog. Each level has multiple fragrance diffusers and dehumidifiers scattered around the floors, running 24/7, in an attempt to both mask the odours and remove the dampness from the air.We received a room upgrade, which we were grateful for. The room was cleaned to a high standard, clean fresh bedding, towels and supplied toiletries were a nice touch. The room was extremely spacious and has a very luxurious feel, but was very dated. Power outlets were very loose, no power outlets at bedside tables or USB anywhere. The entry to room smelt of urine. The hotel corridors had noticeable damage to walls, and the AC outlet in the hallway smelled like sewage. This hotel would benefit from plumbing a commercial fragrance diffuser into HVAC system so fragrance is dispursed throughout the entire hotel. Perhaps ducts require cleaning and carpet steam clean as well to refresh/ remove odour. The streets surrounding the hotel did not feel safe after dark. Not the safest neighbourhood, when compared to Makati or BGC.The hotel Staff were super friendly, from concierge desk, to security and house keeping, as well as pool and bar staff - all were lovely. The Market Cafe service let the experience of the hotel down. Hopefully this hotel can restore the quality, because it has so much potential. We would consider staying here again, the staff really make this place, but this is currently a 3 star hotel at best.
Excellent service! Great accommodations! The rooms very clean including the pool, bar/dinning facilities. Everyone were friendly! Love, love the foods! I love this hotel.
One of the few top hotels in the Manila area. I love staying there. Very comfortable
when i stay in mnl of cause here~friendly staff and clean room that is enough ~
Enjoyed the stay. Staff is very friendly and accommodating
As usual the staff are very polite courteous and friendly, the breakfast buffet is quite good but the menu outside of this is very very ordinary, i would call lazy, not the staff, just the management for not offering better
Nice place and staf in hotel samilar in Dubai hotel prestige 👍
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room is spacious and very comfortable. Friendly and courteous staff. Ample basement parking. Loved the food at their restaurant and capped the evening at their lounge/bar with soothing live music.
Have stayed here even way before pandemic.Location: GoodService: GreatRooms: GreatThe breakfast and/or lunch buffet is a value for money.
Woke up at 3.30am with fire alarm ringing on our floor. Thought we needed to evacuate and so I called the concierge only to find out one of the guests smoke that trigerres the alarm. Ive talked to the manager to complaint but he just apologized. But we didnt get our sleep back. My kid couldnt sleep anymore. We initially transferred to another because of plumbing issue in our bathroom! So anyone who wants to get a good night sleep, get a better hotel. There is Sheraton and Diond hotel nearbh. This hotel is a 5 star hotel with a 1 star service. Not recoended at all. Not worth of your money!
Location, location, location is it. Close to Roxas Blvd, restos, shopping and the airport. The pool is one of my favorite amenities as well as the gym. Very well maintained interiors like the carpet, bed and washroom. The only downside is that the sink is faulty. Have to pump the water out every time. Love the view of Manila Bay from my room with large windows to look into.Size of the room is big with a working desk not that I will need it when am on vacation. Very nice place for staycation. Would definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.
Rooms dont live up to its 5 star status. Flooring is damaged in our room, and was only covered by carpet.
Very kind and always smiling staffes.Wonderful location for night culture of Manila.Amazing swimming pool and poolside.Very comfortable room which is bed, good amenity.
Room is extremely nice. Very nice large pool. Attached to a casino that is 24/7 so plenty to do. Also within walking distance to a 7/11 and close proximity to the mall.
it is good and accessible to all commuters because its along the way only.it is easy to find
Very good accomodation. Very clean. Staff are very good and the food is so good
Nothing besides the service is 5 star. No way is it worth the prices they charge for the large rooms. Walls are peeling. Products for showers and toilets are skimpy at best. Pool is a joke. Views are fantastic. Everyone is super friendly. Breakfast has a nice selection but I did not partake outside of the fresh fruit.Tv is not even HD which in todays day and age is a no-no. Wifi works well for the most part.
Great service, very clean and functional rooms
Nice hotel in manila.. Casino Filipino just in front of the lobby..
Clean and tidy comfortable rooms nice hotel this is my second visit and I will come back
The room is smelly is the carpet too old and dirty. Service is not professionally.
Was gonna out 5 stars. But the hotel is greedy, even tho the room was available and ready at 12 PM they refused to let me in unless i pay half a days price. Which was ridiculous, especially since I was traveling and exhausted. Had me waiting in the lobby for 2hrs like an idiot.
The Hotel used to be a good upscale hotel. But presently post pandemic, found the hotel to be extremely run down and maintenance has been extremely shoddy. Especially the Electricals and air conditioning. Booked into a standard room and had two consecutive nights complete loss in electricity. Initial thought was that there was a power cut and the generator would kick in but unfortunately did not. As it was central air conditioning, it was bearable. Second night again the power went off, so called the customer care desk. After half an hour of fidgeting around decided to change my room at 2 AMNew room had electricity but there seemed to be an issue with the air conditioning , as it was already 3:30 AM, and was checking out in a couple of hours, decided to keep quiet and never to come back. For PHP 7K much to be desired.
This is our second stay in this hotel. We were given freebies...a room upgrade for no cost. Stayed for 6 nights and everything exeeded our expectation. Room rate is very much cheaper (half the pricecompared to a 5 star hotel where we stayed in Baguio City. Room amenities and size were excellent. Hotel security features like use of room card in lifts and logging of taxis details by guards are great. Good job James....will definitely come back.
Friendly staffs, rooms are nice and clean, except for potholes on the road, located right at the heart of tourist belt
Staff were amazing, hassle free check in and check out, great buffet breakfast.suggestion on signs on were the breakfast room would be is to put memo on the elevators instead. but overall good service and nice stay.
Incompetent staff. The person on the phone who is currently working at the reception right now (a guyjust hung up on us.Thanks to you who read this.Reservation cancellation done. ✔️
You can use the amenities like Sauna gym, jaccuzi, swimming pool for only 1,000Php even youre not an inhouse guest.
Though we were early for the 2pm check-in time, we were abe to get in in our room after an hour of waiting. But the front desk/reception staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Instead of a one night stay, we extended for another night. For dining, for housekeeping, in the fitness center - the New Coast Hotel staff are truly at the service of the in-house guests. They are mindful of the guests request. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.
Strategically located. Prompt service at all level.Room looks tired and food quality needs to be improved.Special mentioned to Duty Manager James, Dr. Paul and all the team who attended to me on room#1035 on evening of 11th April. Thank you so much. Take care guys.
A little dated but great value. Nice pool area and one of the best gyms I have used at a hotel.
Services not fully operational. Many guest service phone extensions ring endlessly unanswered.Bad experience with laundry service: missed the committed return time, took 3 phone calls to eventually get it delivered late (and the person delivering was still expecting a tip).
Would give 5/5 but was scammed by the hotel taxi service at the end of my trip to the airport. was charged over $60 and it was a service provided by the hotel reception.was really disappointing
Great place for a staycation in Manila. We got a Premier Suite and the place was massive at 74sqm. The baby was running all over the place! Newer hotels don’t give you this much space. We absolutely loved the view from our room on the 22nd floor that’s half city and half sea.The interior of the room was quite dated, I feel like they need to change the wallpapers and color of carpet. They need to replace some appliances like the TV (not a smart TV yet). The furniture mostly are solid wood and it gave a nice elegant touch to the place.I hope they can include some snacks and beverage in the pantry and fridge. Although access to the grocery store was just a 3 min walk.Great location, super near Robinsons Place, Intramuros, Manila Ocean Park, Rizal Park, and Cultural Center of the PH.Will book here again next time!
Staying here gives you the feeling that you are a CEO of a large company from the 70s decade. The furniture, style and placement is uhhh.... looks old styled
The hotel has reduced amenities, closed resturant, closed spa, other covid related restrictions. But the pool is nice, casino was open, room service good and the staff was excellent and friendly.
It was a relaxing and comfort to stay here in new coast hotel the room attendand named carlo lascano and Darwin are very well in there job to clean and changing bed sheets they assure my needs like coffee water they ask what i comfort everyaccomodatimg thank you for this im going to stay again here😍😍😍😍
Very impressive hotel that has great staff, beautiful rooms, and it rigidly adhered to Covid protocols which made me feel very safe. I saw their staff diligently sanitizing the lobby one early morning; and no one was skimping on wearing masks. I would not stay anywhere but here when in Manila.
The service was great. They have put in the needed pandemic protocols that will make you feel safe. I would recommend this hotel to those who enjoy going to the casino, but mind you, I didnt go to the casino, not a fan of gambling. As for the food, it was all in-room dining for us. I would not recommend the Tapsilog breakfast. Overall, I could say it was value for money since I availed of a promo.
- My wife requested for a bay view room but we were given a pool view room. Immediately upon entering the room, we requested for room transfer.- Took about 2 hours before we were transferred to our requested room. That was after calling for 5-6x. Because of this, we were able to have lunch only by 3:30PM- New room has plenty of small cockroaches- Called for in-room dining at 9PM but was told that they would only accept by 10PM due to unexpected influx of orders which they should have anticipated based on the occupancy. We received a call that they can only accept orders by 11PM instead of 10PM- We were able to order at 11PM but it is now 1AM as of writing this review and our food is still unavailable. For all these cases, guest services has not been helpful. They would only say that they would check but there were no definite actions. We’ll have to call and do follow-ups for about 5-6x before we get an action/result. Will definitely not go back to this hotel. This has been a terrible experience for my family and kids.
