Sambuu St, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Dzuunmod
Venerable museum known for works by G. Zanabazar, plus other historical pieces by Mongolian artists.
Awesome place! It is a must visit to know more about Mongolian culture, history and Buddhism.
Very much traditional. Not multimedia
Great place to view Vajrayana Buddhist art. Expect to pay extra to take pictures.
One of must see places in UB.
The art curator style of this museum should be improved.
Excellent buddhist art gallery. Quiet, clean, and serene.
Mongolian traditional fine art museum
This is interesting
No air conditioning

Great memories made by here ❤
Wonderful 😊
Went to see the solo exhibition event " The blades of Time" glad to see local museums and art museums promoting the local talent.
Love
Many master piece or work of Zanabazars work. Specially Green tara. There are Five Diyany Buddhas bronze statue.
I would have to say that it was a small but very interesting little history of Mongolian Art. The tools of the smiths were an interesting addition as well as the paintings of the 2013 politaical upheavals. Maybe needed a few more translations in English, French etc to give the tourists a better chance to understand the exhibits.
Beautifull facade . Inside is a bit empty
A very nice art museum with well organized exhibits that can easily and comfortably be admired.
Interesting exhibits. If you get the audio guide, be prepared to stand in front of each exhibit for up to 10 minutes. I think Mongolians have a different way of talking about history. For me the guide is very repetitive and too detailed. But interesting nonetheless
Good place to be. Very cheap ticket with audi guide. Dont forget to show student ID.
This fine arts museum is one of the rare museums in Mongolia which is able to capture the history of art in the country.the museum offers audio guides which are free for everyone, and also coming English. Theyre collection of appliquer and paintings and other traditional Mongolian art is second to none. The appliquer you will see is the biggest in the country and their pieces are so impressive.
tseverhen jijighen hot
Many interesting things to see and know. But the place need maintenance!
Very interesting exhibition !
Good
Wonderful museum of Mongolian fine arts. True masterpieces.
The finest museum in UB. Both the archeological and the buddhist sections are amazingly beautiful
Masterpieces if Mongolian Buddhism
One of the most beautiful museum in Ulaanbaatar but unfortunately very poorly curated. The audio guides were not engaging at all - as a result our group had a very unappreciative and a uninterested impression towards all the artifacts.
This is probably one of my favorite museums in UB. I love the symbolism and meaning to the art. I could spend all day here!
I think this is the museum is for like arts museum since couple of amazing drawings and others. Definitely you should go there.
From prehistoric times thru the ages with artifacts and clothing. The details on their bridles and saddles from 600 BC onwards is amazing.. Europeans were living in huts while the Mongols were decorating, with intricate designs, their horses. Gave me a whole new perspective on the word, "civilization". Take your time and read about the displays for they are fascinating.
Really nice museum
A must visit when you visit Ulaanbaatar
A must visit during your stay in UB
Many amazing pieces of religious art
Great collection, geared more towards religious art, and with really eye opening and engaging exhibits.
Amazing art collection of Mongolian and Tibetan Buddhism
It is a small but nice museum, look close at the paintings from daily life.
Great museum filled with bronze age finds to modern. Great place to kill 1-2 hours
the best museum in UB
Good range of exhibits, inadequate signage
A very cool museum . Audio guide available in several languages
If youre interested in learning about Mongolias spiritual history, this museum is an important part. Most of the art housed here is from Zanbazar, a key religious leader in the 1600s who brought about the proliferation of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolia. If possible, get a guide who can answer questions and point out the more interesting elements of the different art pieces.
Very nice muséum, with great piece of Mongol Art ! If you interested in art you should have a look to it
One of the must see places in UB. If youre an art lover you must visit this museum.
Wouldnt tell by looking at the outside, but full of history & interesting items.
If you lover of arts, u must visit this place. Charming illustrations and sculptures exhibited here. Also the museum shop is pretty good!
Some stuff are so cool. Though closes a bit early
Prices have gone up to T8000 for adults. An audio guide is free with the ticket price. The museum closed at 6pm when we were just there this summer.
