Very popular. Not much chance of getting an outdoor table if the sun is out. Great food from the bbq but order early as we had 90 minute wait! Definitely worth a visit.

Great view and chilled out atmosphere, shame live music only played one song.

Nice selection of drinks. The staff were excellent. Nice spot right next to the beach with a view across the bay.

Great location next to beach on the estuary - seating area outside as well as inside - Warm welcome and very friendly helpful staff - Good choice of ales - highly recommend the Jail Ale.Food served from Friday lunchtime and over the weekend. The Open Seafood Sandwich is to die for!Would recommend this place as my go to first choice. 5*****

A lovely Sunday afternoon in your beer garden over looking the beach and listening to some good live music I the sun. Good selection of beers and ciders. Surf and turf burger, and a veggie burger, both extremely nice. Will be back for more.

A nice setting and welcome. The vegan burger was quite tasty. These are the reasons Im not rating the place 1 star.The venue however, smelt of urine.Over-priced for the amount you get. Portions are small. The venison burgers were ridiculously salty.When we told the staff about this, they implied that we were wrong; unbelievably rude.They also said that we were asking for a refund when we werent; putting words in our mouth.

What a lovely pub with friendly staff. Great selection of beer and ales. Upstairs seating to take in the views or Outdoor sheltered / heated seating area overlooking the estuary.Music on most Sundays of the month when we visited. A great find well worth a visit.

What an enviable location, in the village of shaldon over looking the river Teign right on the beach. A great place to while the time away, great for families, kids or couples. Always a sociable atmosphere with plenty of laughs. Great menu and often has live bands.

Lovely little pub, beautiful seating area over looking the estuary, small menu Friday to Sunday but well nice, excellent homemade burgers and steak roll absolutely superb. Lovely staff very friendly and dog friendly too we sat inside by the window nice atmosphere and excellent selection of drinks. As we live in Dawlish will be back again.

Lovely little pub tucked away next to the beach. Little beer garden a few steeps across the road so you can sit right on the edge of the beach with scenic views of the river teign. Friendly staff and a reasonably priced pint.

Heard brilliant things but not the best experience. Arrived to be told a table will be ready soon so to sit on a bench between two tables. Not ideal as we practically had other customers sat on our laps but fine for the wait for the table. A table came free and we were told that they wouldnt sit us there as they could probably fit more people on the table if they turned up, again not ideal but we were happy to wait until they seated an older couple who were waiting behind us there and completely ignored us. Im sure its a lovely place when not busy but to be honest I wouldnt go back.

Pub has great outside area just off the beach - staff are attentive and quick to serve, and will do their best to find you a spot despite it being busy. Good selection of beers , Heineken/Moretti or Carling, plus a burger bar currently going offering 6 or so different burger types and 2 good veggie options. Highly recommend during the current sunshine!

Popped in for a couple of drinks on a typical wet summers day the other week. The guys on were friendly enough and the pub was nicely decorated. Offered a good selection of drinks and food. They had a music evening on the Sunday before which looked excellent and a shame we didnt discover it sooner

What a fantastic pub! We visited 2 weeks ago whilst on holiday and we cant wait to return! The staff and landlord were brilliant and the outdoor garden bar is fantastic. Great clean facilities and dog friendly! We loved it that much we bought the FBI hoodies that are available! Lovely location and definitely well worth the visit to Sheldon! Highly recommended!!
