The Emperor - British restaurant in Korwai, India
Great staff, good parking, nice location. Ladies Toilet let it down slightly, had a completely broken seat in one cubicle. Would visit again.
Best fantastic pub. Awesome food, great service, accommodating to regular locals and welcoming to visitors. Thankful.
Best food and lovely people. Service was good! Quite cold outside though,
Best country pub, good food and good selection of beers . thanks you.
Lovely place , well recommended
Friendly pub with wholesome food.
Good food, nice atmosphear
Lack of customer service and friendliness and no hospitality.
The standard of customer care is very poor. Last week we had a good lunch. This week the kitchen was shut, because the weather was too hot and only limited BBQ was being served. Did they bother to call anyone with bookings and tell them? Of course not. We went elsewhere.
Lovely relaxing friendly pub. Good for meeting with friends for food and a drink
Lovely place, unfortunately kitchen staff was Ill but would love to return for food
Very nice country lane pub. Pints are spot on. Beer garden has various seating options. Perfect for a few quiet drinks
Great day for my 2 year old son. Great food and great atmosphere.
Great pub. Amazing new chef, food was great quality. We ordered the whitebait, fish and chips, roast beef and the Chicken Caesar salad. All presented well and so tasty! The chicken caesar had chargrilled chicken and was a good portion size, most places serve such small salads! Staff all friendly too, would recommend !! ⭐️
Very over priced, not that friendly staff, a bit stand off ish
Nice place. Good service. Enjoyed food.
We visited on a Saturday, early evening. Despite the pub not being overly busy, the staff seemed rushed. Our pint of Bitter was thrust across the bar at us, spilling in the process, leaving us with a wet sticky glass before wed even sat down. The menu is fairly compact but generally with something for every taste. Our food arrived at the table after around 20 minutes but the pasta dish was barely warm. This is purely my opinion but I think it might have been left on the side until the Burger was also ready so they could be served together. A little salad on the side would have been most welcome also. The pub itself has a warm, friendly feel to it, with a large peaceful Garden and ample off road parking is provided. We will be back for drinks but sadly not for the food.
What a fantastic pub. Awesome food, great service, accommodating to regular locals and welcoming to visitors.
Lovely roast dinner, lovely staff and very nice, traditional pub inside! Will be back!
We would like to thank all the staff at the emporer for doing a fantastic wake for my mum Barbara Reynolds food buffet and the whole experience was warm friendly kind and service was first class. This is on behalf of all mums friends and family. Most importantly my dad Jim Reynolds. We all would highly recommend
One of the most beautiful pubs Ive ever been in. The Sunday roast was just perfect.
Lovely pub within walking distance of Burnham beaches "ancient woodland".They have a small menu with some of the best pub classics.I had a lovely sausages and mash and my wife had a great fully loaded nachos. In the winter they light 3 fire places and its a really cosy atmosphere.
Lovely country style pub, extensive product range with first class service. Everything you wish for when going out for a meal/drink.
Nice building and location. Food nice although menu feels as if its trying a little hard. More choice for vegetarians would be great.
Incredibly attentive staff, particularly Ian, provided an amazing experience for us. The food was just simply a delight, the best we’ve had locally. Our first visit, but certainly not our last!!!
Went to the today for lunch the food was fantastic the pub is done up really lovely and the garden is so nice . The staff were really friendly and the Waitress who served us was very attentive and polite . Im going back again full marks folks keep up the great work !!!
A nice traditional pub with a good selection of lagers and ales. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The food was wholesome, well cooked and well presented. A good experience
Friendly staff, relaxed environment and tasty food !
Great food and lovely people. Service was good! Quite cold outside though, heaters didnt do much.
Service was great, and food was delicious. And it wasnt too busy, we walked in and got a table right away, I have to mention it was a weekday at 4pm. And it was getting busy when we about to leave.Super covid secure, the guys were on top of everything.
Lovely pub with great garden. Paul was a pleasure to be served by and a great ambassador for the pub. Cautious of Covid and was great at making us feel like guests. Very good food and very personable staff. I would recommend here and the Rebelion Fish N Chips
Went here for Christmas Dinner, but unfortunately let down by badly managed staff. Kitchen falling behind, half of the table being served, with the waiting staff being left to fend for themselves as no manager stepped in to communicate with the guest. Returned a chocolate mousse that was as solid as a chocolate ganache, but was told "this is the way its supposed to be".
We had roast beef and all the trimmings this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was very good and the staff were lovely. This is a lovely pub as well and we look for to a return visit soon. Thank you.
Great country pub, good food and good selection of beers
Lovely food and atmosphere.
Really wouldnt recommend the food, 1st choice pork belly couldnt change out the black pudding, 2nd choice of Game pie unavailable after ordering, 3rd choice Sea Bass £19 honestly bland tasteless served with 2 raw potatoes and 2 broccoli..One meal was ok out of our table of 3.Its a shame as nice pub with good beer.Wont be eating here any time soon..
First time I visit in here and order Sunday roast that was pork but its really cold and awful. Yorkshire pudding horrible. But nice and friendly staff. But good place for drink.
Absolutely fantastic staff. My friends 25th Anniversary was stunning and the staff really helped to make that happen. Great place for a party!
First time visiting since new management and was a bit disappointing. Sunday afternoon, which Id expect the place to be packed, was fairly quiet. 3 of us dined outside, and all of us ordered different roasts. They took over 45 mins to arrive and when they did arrive they werent great - rock hard potatoes and over seasoned. The staff were all new and seem very inexperienced and disinterested. Appreciate its new management but not a great start.
A hit and miss. Meat was great, potatoes overcooked and dry, some veg slightly undercooked (perhaps to my standard, gravy too thick and very salty. However dessert was great. Very slow service overall, especially when so quiet. If dessert wasnt a hit then it would have been less marks. Due to this, will most likely not be returning.
Pleasant pub. Big inside & lits parking. Good atmosphere. Quite a few draft bitters. Live music on the night we were there (Monday). Menu varied. My meal very tasty. Worth a visit.
I ate here recently with friends, on a taster day. The starters were lovely and we were very impressed. The mains were less impressive as 3 of my friends had steaks and 2 of the steaks were tough, not necessarily the fault of the chef (the steaks were cooked medium rare), maybe they should consider a new meat supplier? All of the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back!
A very cozy and warm pub that had great seating areas. We were locked out of our house and was waiting for the locksmith to come. We Walked up to the pub and ordered a coffee and a coke.. We sat there until the locksmith rang to say he was at the House. The staff were friendly and so were the patrons. From what I could see of the food that was served.. It was very yummy looking. The place was very welcoming. I would go there again.
It was a lovely place to eat and drink, however there prices are very expensive. They have a play area outside for little ones, with a slide, etc. They have a under shelter part, so if its raining it really is a good place to stand while having a cigar or cigarette. The people are also lovely, it can get a little bit cramped but apart from that its a lovely place.
Good food, Nice Environment, Nice Ambience In English Bar
Very nice. I cant fault the food and service, but I dropped it a star because we had a quite dodgy table where the frame was too low for the height of the seats and our thighs were somewhat wedged between the two. This made it a bit uncomfortable to sit at but the other tables looked ok.
We went here as first time visitors for my partners birthday and had the Sunday lunch. Our first thoughts were what a cosy atmosphere, greeted with a friendly smile from behind the bar. We were shown to our table and promptly asked for a drinks order. The starters, main course and dessert were all excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed going here and will definitely be visiting again and recommend it to friends and family.
I dont normally write reviews if Ive had a disappointing meal or bad service. But today I feel I have to write .We visited The emperor in Blackpond lane this evening we hadnt book but it was early so we took a chance and just dropped in. They had a free table and we were seated very quickly. That sadly was the most positive thing about our experience of the evening. We were given menus and the waitress very quickly came and took our order. It was only after we had ordered that another table were seated given menus and told about the specials available, something we hadnt been told anything about. Our meals arrived a chicken breast stuffed with brie and cranberry and a mushroom risotto. The chicken didnt appear to have any brie or cranberry in it but it was so small and dry maybe it did have at the start of the cooking process. The risotto was very bland it didnt actually taste of anything. We came away feeling completely ripped off. If the waitress that served us had been more interested in all her customers and not just her table of friends we may have come away disappointed with the food but not feeling completely under valued as a paying customer.
Lovely place, great food. Nice garden too!Live music events and summer BBQs are a must
Fantastic pub, amazing food and service thats second to none!My partner and I visited here over the weekend, we were greeted by friendly staff who couldnt do enough to make us welcome and provide us with a lovely evening, the food we had was served very quickly and was delicious, great beers and wines available and we were even lucky enough to sample the land ladys very own toffee vodka and chilli vodka! Very nice!!A fantastic friendly pub, we will be visiting again! 5 stars!
