Compact 17th-century tavern with quirky decor and bench seats, serving simple British pub fare.
Such a charming and welcoming pub. The antique elements are beautiful. Very ‘proper’ as pubs go. The locals are friendly and the vibes are good.
Best Guiness ever! And also some good chats with the locals.
Came to watch the Bournemouth v Fulham match and have to say the bar staff were amazing. Very efficient and friendly. Went back after the match and were made to feel so welcome by the locals. A very friendly and efficient pub, chips were great too!
Great pub unless you are in a wheelchair where they will deny you entry. Not good enough
A nice locals pub, with good staff, and reasonably priced.
Decent pub for away fans visiting Fulham. Pricey at £5,70 a pint. Good quick friendly bar staff.
Proper old pub food atmosphere
Great atmosphere in there, a proper pub with locals. Beer wasnt top notch but always room for improvement.
Proper Pub in my opinion. Fairly small pub beside Putney Bridge tube station which still manages to maintain a traditional old fashioned pub charm both in terms of look and atmosphere.Great range of lager and ales served by very proficient and extremely pleasant bar staff. Appears to have the support of many regulars which is good to see. Would give this great pub 10 stars if I could.
One of the best burgers Ive ever had which was completely unexpected, great pub.
We had a delicious dinner there the other night and had their pie of the day and bangers and mash. Both were very good and definitely would go back. They have a small menu but I like that as it usually means that the meals are really good, and it was!You might want to make reservations as it is very small and popular with the locals.Well worth going to.
Excellent little pub. Always feel welcome. Typical pub grub-reasonable value for money. Will visit again!
Went there last Friday, nice beer and a lovely sandwich.went on Saturday and was screamed at by a doorman to use the other door, when I went to the other door he screamed "other pub". From what I can work out the pub was full of Football fans and not open to the general public. Went back on Sunday ordered two sandwiches and we were told no sandwiches on Sunday. At that point we left.Gave them 2 stars as the Friday experience was good, Saturday was shocking.Sunday was laughable....
Fantastic little pub .. friendly staff and great setting. Good selection of beers too !
Hello bello! I am absolutely satisfied with your service. I have got a glass of water with so awesome ice cubes. The area is my daily routine walk to walk to talk to talk stop. I mean I used to work in Fulham Broadway shopping centre in KrispyKreme Doughnuts. If you wish you can have the best Vegan doughnuts any time. :I am in the Ward 2 now. :Tooting. Thingy lingy lover I am but I just drank the perfect decaff coffee ever. It was black and with two sweeteners. Amen! I love the area of the pub. So lifestyle-low life-high life situated. Well done girl who served me. You are cute AS YOU ARE. :D Thanx again!
Anchor point adjacent to Putney Bridge either on the way to town or on the way home.Always a friendly pint.
Lovely old mans pub, a must visit if you are nearby
Nice, traditional style pub. Good food at realistic prices (cooked on the premises, not bing and ding). Quite nice outside seating area, considering its busy location. Pleasent and helpful staff.
This place is exactly what I think of when I think of English pubs. Everyone was friendly and the beer was great.
Such a great little boozer and the Guinness is second to none!
Proper London pub. Mixed crowd, good value, traditional interior and lovely staff
Was staying at the nearby Premier Inn so with my wife popped in to this pub for a couple of pints around 10pm on a Friday night. Good atmosphere. Had a very nice Pale Ale from a nearby local brewery. The bar staff were very friendly, particularly Tom, who is a very nice guy. I am returning to Hong Kong where I live and will miss local pubs like this
Great little locals pub popular with away fans on Fulham match days. Great pub grub, friendly service and a good selection of drinks, with excellent Guinness. Well worth a visit if youre in the neighbourhood.
A great local .......welk stocked bar, good choice of grub, welcoming locals and owners.First class !
Excellent traditional pub ideally located for premier inn with nice seating out front and good selection of beer
Brilliant pub. Friendly locals, knowledgeable bar staff, good prices for the area and the Portobello Market Porter was a great pint.
Great London pub in a good quiet spot close to the river. Nice outside seating areas.
Nice drink clean pub great menu been here many times over the years
Old school pub with locals and commuters. Bar staff are a pure delight, friendly and quick. Small menu of delicious food especially the roasts which are more than adequate! Not a pub for babies and small children which is always a bonus!
Great small local friendly pub.
Great beer with great food. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Its a pub....kinda old school, bit sticky but beer was cold and you can sit outside. wouldnt make an effort to go there but nothing really wrong with it.....if your waiting for a bus may as well wait there
The staff was super nice, beers and scotch as well! The food was not superb, but a great experience overall, surely recommend it!
Really lovely friendly attentive staff, they make sure everyone is happy. The food is great, REAL FRESH chips, yeah not frozen, this is a good old fashioned place with a nice mix of clientele 👍
Great traditional pud. Friendly, welcoming staff. The food is delicious. I recommend the Cumberland sausage. I will certainly be returning.
Sunday roast are delicious here highly recomend
It was ok, very kind staff and cozy. Good beers. A bit small and seemed to have affectionate clients. Food ok, fries a bit soggy and rest ok.
Great little pub with outside seating. Has a good selection of real ales. The menu has usuals with a roast, curry and pies
First time going to the pub. We booked for a Sunday roast. It was delicious... Lovely atmosphere, very nice staff. Thank you, we will come again!! 👍🏼
Very cosy and warm atmosphere inside the classic decorated pub.Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Will visit again.
Great proper pub, staff always friendly. I use this pub when visiting my daughter in uni, they always remember me, and are first class. food is good especially Sunday roasts.
Nice old pub. Cozy atmosphere. Very nice staff.
The Eight Bells is one of the few remaining old-school English pubs in the area. The music and food are good, there is real community spirit among the patrons, and football is always on-- seriously, what more could I ask for in a pub? This place is great.
This is a local for us, great pub and bar staff, but sadly going downhill, food is no longer good quality . The menu is understandably greatly reduced, but the last two meals weve had have been really poor. Ill give the food a miss in future, but recommend for a few drinks and friendly atmosphere.
An unexpected gem. A relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and even better company. It’s the personal touch that does it. Can’t think of a better place in Fulham for having beers and food with eight bell ends.
The atmosphere is just right if your after a pub in Fulham or putney the sunday roast is desirable at a very competitive price and its very tasty and you could have a combo 5 stars
Best Sunday roast ever! Such friendly staff Sarah the manager is so accommodating. Dogs and children welcome. This is a small traditional interior pub with seating outside as well. They are very community minded and support great causes locally. Perfect combination great people amazing food at very reasonable prices, but you might want to book for Sunday roasts.
Great little pub in Fulham..staff are excellent, authentic English pub for those travellers! Plenty of outdoor space and plenty of inside seating too... typical English pub grub so has all you need on one place.
Small cosy pub, really good inexpensive food and lots of it. Sunday roast all day as long as it lasts. Locals are friendly and also very dog orientated. Need to arrive early as gets packed. Also the pub is Fulham football home pub so Id give it a miss on football days.
Quaint little London boozer with wood paneled walls complete with ornate brick fire place. Popped in on the way to Fulham high Street for a quick drink as we were early for our appointment, the barmaid didnt move very quickly at all but we got our drinks as the place was empty. On the way back we decided to stop in again for a drink and the place was packed with people eating lunch, some of which smelt lovely. The barmaid was very slow by this time, we went in and sat at the bar and she served someone else who approached the bar after us, then picked up her phone and spent a good 5 minutes typing. Eventually she did get back to us but i didnt like sitting waiting to be served when we didnt need to.In short - it looks like a lovely place and i should imagine has seen a few things in its time. Bar staff slow and a little oblivious.
