Disney Springs, 1570 E Buena Vista Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, United States, Kissimmee
A highly themed restaurant and nightclub serving contemporary American fare and cocktails.
Its an absolute must go again. The burgers were big and juicy! Fries very tasty. 😋 The drink we had were awesome, it was Halloween Horror fun!! It was called a "Blood Donor" drink. It was delicious!!!!
Fantastic overall experience. Its hard not to be in a good mood with the friendly service and ultra-cool steampunk/20s theme of the Edison. The food and drinks are top notch as well.
The Edison is a restaurant and bar in the heart of Disney Springs. Its a great place particularly for lunch. I say lunch, and not dinner, because its slightly less crowded at lunchtime. I have tried their salmon and their burgers, both were top notch. The other members of our party also gave their orders a strong thumbs up. The burger is made from a custom blend of ground meats that really has a wonderful flavor. It is thick and juicy. The bacon for their cheese and bacon burger is not that paper thin slice stuff but a big thick hunk that really adds flavor. The salmon was properly cooked and flavorful. They have three full service bars running when it is busy. They are extremely well stocked with both mid grade and top shelf ingredients. In addition to excellent mixed drinks, they have a small selection of local options on tap. On the flip side, if youre looking for a place that has a list of 50 or more different items on tap, this is not the place to stop. Like most restaurants on Disney property, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is good.On weekends it can be quite popular and difficult to get into. It has a strong reputation and that results in strong crowds. In my experience from at least three different visits its a well deserved reputation.Parking at Disney Springs is both plentiful and free. Which is one of the advantages of shopping and visiting at Disney Springs, the free parking.
Ambience Ambience Ambience! Super cool restaurant where attention to detail was taken with design and decor. Food was amazing. I reccomend The Edison burger, the Edison beer and the glazed bacon appetizer. 4 out of 5 as the price is high and servers seemed to be too spread out; gonna have a wait between drink refills.
This bar is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been. Walking in feels like you’re being transported into roaring 1920s. Awesome ambience with even better quality. The bartenders take their craft seriously and do a great job whipping up cocktails. We came during closing hours but I wish I had more time to spend here. Hands down one of the best bars in the Orlando area.
This place is very nice. Nice atmosphere. We waited over an hour to get sited although there was not people waiting in line. We figured maybe people had reservations so we waited. It wasn’t very pleasant to wait for so long but after we ate and saw the show we thought It was worth the wait. Our waiter Dan was nice and attentive. We got out food fairly fast. They offer a show that was nice as well. The food was very good. The only complaint is that they clean the tables with dirty rags and they are extremely sticky. Also, the drinks are too expensive for the size. My Halloween drink was $30.00 and my husband’s was almost 20. But and the glasses were so small that we thought they took them out of the Barbie’s play miniature tea set. Other than that, we would definitely go back. Everything else was great.
We had family Dinner at the Edison and it was good. The food was great, the presentation was great and the decor was amazing. We really felt like we were in present day 1920’s.
Totally unique space. Had a great attentive waitress (Ariel). Food prices over compensated a little for inflation but food was really good. Decent beer selection. Calamari was spectacular.
We dined with a party of friends who had been here before and gave it high praise. We were only able to get a 9 PM reservation and the place was absolutely packed even that late at night, so we were feeling optimistic going in. I really love the steampunk atmosphere and the old cartoon loop on the televisions. There are a ton of bars around the restaurant which would be a cool place to hang out after work.Service was average, which shouldnt be the case for a restaurant that presents itself like The Edison does. One of the main issues is that our cocktails didnt arrive until after the entrees, and we simply got a "sorry" when we informed staff. This is really disappointing since we ordered drinks off the "high rollers" menu, which you would think would be prioritized, since you know, theyre over $30. Additionally two members of the party ordered the short rib and we were informed long after ordering that they were out, something our waiter should have known beforehand. The wandering drink fairy offering $10 shots was tacky and awkward.Electri-fries - The fries themselves were good and the bacon, cheese and sauce (thousand islandwas too, but nothing really stood out to justify a $16 appetizer. The Edison burger - This was really nothing more than a $25 bacon cheese burger. While it was good and cooked exactly as I requested, it was another menu item that really does nothing to justify its price or stand out in any way. I can get this same burger at Chilis.Cristóbals Revenge "high roller" cocktail - this was nothing more than a gimmick and borderline scam. For $38, you would expect an elaborate drink, maybe in a funky glass/mug or some type of show or presentation as it is served to you. None of these things happen with this drink and there is absolutely no justification for why they feel the need to charge this amount of money. The silly coin you get with it (collect four and you get a free high roller drinkjust plays into the gimmick and I felt cheated. I should have known there was a reason why there were no pictures or mentions of this one. Absolutely skip it, and probably the rest of the drinks on that menu. The live entertainment, a 20s themed cover group, was not good. The covers of Justin Bieber and Call Me Maybe were not good and the songs just didnt fit the atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was good which is why Im putting this at a 3 and not lower. I cannot say I would return here in the future.
I took my fiancé here for her birthday Friday Sept 24, I made reservations a week and a half prior and specifically requested a nice booth or a table on the ground floor near the entertainment, mentioned it was her birthday and asked if they could surprise her with a dessert that I would pay for. We had 7 PM reservations and we show up and wait over 15 minutes for our table. That was the first problem. I shouldn’t make reservations 10 days prior and still have to wait 15 minutes for our table. When they finally set us they put us in the corner of the restaurant, probably the worst section of the restaurant facing the bathrooms at a wooden table that was big enough for an entire family. The booth was actually just a long bench that was facing the bathrooms, watching everyone go in and out of the toilets our entire meal. We couldn’t see the entertainment it was absolutely blocked by a wall behind us and the only way we could see the band was on the TV. Then a gentleman approached us and wanted to take our picture. Since I’ve never been to the Edison before I thought it had something to do with her birthday and they were going to somehow incorporate it with a slice of cake that I requested in my dinner reservation. No absolutely not, the guy interrupted our meal wasted 15 minutes of our time only to come back seven minutes later with printed pictures asking for $20 to purchase them. Yes, I ended up buying one but it was an absolute joke and such an interruption to our meal and trying to be intimate with each other. In the end there was no note celebrating her birthday, no cake that was brought out with a small birthday wish, zero acknowledgment to her birthday. Huge let down for an almost $200 night
We decided to have dinner here before making our way back home. For appetizers, we started off with the DB ‘Clothesline Candied Bacon. The presentation alone was fitting to the name of the dish. It was an actual clothesline of candied bacon that was we tossed with black peppercorn. The drawback here was the price of the dish ($18for the amount of bacon you receive— a total of 4 strips. However, the flavors hit your taste buds just right! We also had their Fried Calimari which came with a yummy aioli dip that was delicious and a generous portion for the price. Our entrees were the Organic Tomato Soup and Gooey Grilled Cheese and the Bartolo Short Rib. I was disappointed with the tomato soup. It was watery and lacked substance. It had a balsamic flavor that made it quite acidic. I didn’t bother to send it back because the grilled cheese somewhat made it up for the disappointment of the soup. True to its name, the gooey grilled cheese was just that. You can taste the different cheeses between two slices of yummy, buttery toast. The Barolo Short Rib was cooked to perfection and tender as well as flavorful with the au jus over the fluffy mashed potatoes. My husband was tempted to order another plate from how good it was.Last, the ambience of the Edison gives you speakeasy vibes. It’s very warm and intimate and doesn’t seem like a tourist trap like most restaurants in the area.
The service here is excellent! The food is awesome. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is so good. They put like 4 cheeses in it. Large portions for the price. Try the dulce de leche cheesecake; its amazing. Beautiful decor throughout based on Thomas Edison. Love jazz and tap dancing each night. Would definitely recommend.
The wait staff was awesome with their recommendations of beverages and food.Food was excellent, perhaps a little pricy but it is Disney Springs. The atmosphere was great, live music but not overwhelming with noise or loudness. Great for a late dinner with colleges after a conference nearby.
Easily the best place to eat in Disney Springs. The parmesan truffle fries are simply amazing. The portions are good and the atmosphere is fantastic. I chatted with Rory, Time travelling inventor, and she made my experience even better!
One of the best Spare Ribs Ive ever had! We sat down at the bar to enjoy some drinks and live music. Loved the vibe and the service. Lots of drinks to choose from and some come with a little fire show. Definitely coming back to wind down after shopping around Disney Springs.
The atmosphere of this place is awesome. Make sure you sit at the bottom by the bar or by the stage. They had a live performance when we went on a Friday evening. The food and overall experience was great.
This is my new favorite restaurant in Disney Springs! We had the Edison burger and clothesline bacon. The food was delicious, the service was swift, very friendly and helpful in choosing our food and drinks. They also had live entertainment, who also did an amazing job.
Attended one of the mixology events and had so much fun! The hosts of the event were informative and engaging. The drinks were outstanding and I even learned of a new garnish I can’t wait to make at home! The food complimented the drinks so well and was delicious. We left looking forward to attending another one very soon. I highly recommend you give this a try.
Celebrated a belated birthday tonight with a friend. Glad we made reservations, this place is rightfully always busy. Great ambiance/atmosphere. Food is good as well, although I honestly did expect a bit more variety on the menu than what was available. Staff was wonderful, prompt and organized. Bar was very fun, we tried a "high roller" drink that set the table on fire purposefully which was very neat. Feels very 1920s which is always fun. Enjoy!
Great atmosphere, live show. A little pricey but thats Disney. We were there for my husbands birthday. He ordered the Edison Burger. It was fantastic and hot. Mine on the other hand, I ordered the prime rib and baked potato. For $43, one would think it would come out at least warm. It wasnt actually cold! The baked potato, was not even cooked enough to enjoy. Suggestion - try cooking school if you dont know how to cook a steak and potatoe.
We went on a family bar crawl and of the 4 places we’ve been this was head and shoulders above the rest and it wasn’t close!Food/dessert: everything was amazing and in very accommodating portions! Spinach dip was a huge fan favorite!!Drink: this had most of groups favorite drinks of the night! Including but not limited to “Edison runs on” , “Just Trust Me”, and the “Time Turner
We started with cocktails at the bar, the berry smash is delicious, sweet and with a good amount of smashed berries, the Negroni was perfect and the bootleggers basil with a hint of honey went down smooth. Graham the bartender shared his knowledge of gins and vermouths and other interesting things, so perfect, thank you Graham! ... I had shrimp and grits, so good! Next time Ill ask for extra tomato jam, mum had the popcorn shrimp, a generous portion, with a yummy citrus aioli, and hubs had the prime rib, which came with a pastry popover, his verdict: very good, yes, hell have it again.
Food was very good. All of the cocktails seemed to slant towards the bitter side, so if thats your thing then youre in luck. If not, this might not be the best place to grab a drink.
The food is AMAZING!! And hot. I had to take half of my burger "The Edison" home with the left over fries. Oh and the fries you have to get them upgraded with fresh Parmesan, bacon, green onions and, the Edison sauce. Which as our server said is like a big Mac sauce but better. And she was not lying as this sauce was soooo good. The price is really good for it being in Disney Springs and the amount of food.
Huge portions, good prices, and a great staff. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Not to mention one of the more beautifully themed restaurants Ive been in some time. Oddly enough, the silent movies playing on some of the walls led to some interesting discussions amongst our young family.
This well themed, industrial steampunk speakeasy-turned-restaurant fits right in at Disney Springs. Be prepared for fun cocktails, good food, and live entertainment. I highly recommend the burgers here. They are massive, delicious, and dare I say, the best on property? Recommended.
Really great cocktails. Awesome place to have drinks and a few plates to share for the table too if you don’t want a full entree! Our server Jessie was incredible. I had a couple cocktails off the menu- they make a great sidecar. The flatbreads are really great.
I get a kick out of dining here! I love looking at all the interesting decor. Food is excellent. I love their Electric Mules! Very refreshing. We sat by the stage and 2 beautiful singers came out. So fun to watch and their voices were beautiful and they were dressed so cute in their roaring 20s outfits. I really enjoyed the afternoon here.
We had so much fun here. The food was delicious. Our server was wonderful, knowledgeable, funny, helpful with suggestions and all around great. The candied bacon was delicious!
Barely Short Rib, Chicken Sandwich, The blackend MahiThe chicken Sandwich with fries, was very good, the only detail is the amount of salt on the fries; it was too much salt. The Mahi is 1/10 spicy because is blackened but not stated on the menu, however our waitress was excellent and had a second one done to our need.Lastly the short Rib, very tender, and flavorful.
The venue is quite unique, industrial steampunk. The location was not crowded at all during lunch hrs and we were seated as walk-ins right away with no reservation and no wait time. It does seem that they are still only serving a limited post-covid menu. Also it took an unusually long time to get our desserts at the end of our meal, we even received our checks and made full payment before every receiving our desserts which seemed odd considering the venue was not at all busy.
I cant say enough good things about this The Edison. The candied bacon appetizer is savory and sweet at the same time and is straight up delicious. Someone else said you can make this at home -- all I can say is good luck trying. If anything, the drinks are the easy part to make at home.Sabrina was our server and she did an amazing job. I feel like quality service has become a rare find in todays world and Sabrina was top notch.Food was great, atmosphere and vibe were awesome. Great find in Disney Springs.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Door greeters were a bit hasty but once seated, we had a great experience. Appetizers, drinks, dinner and dessert was top 9f the charts and reasonably priced. Entertainment was great. Sat outside for a bit on their porch. Highly recommend
The food was really good and it was very clean too. The tables were spaced apart well, the silverware was clean too. I asked how some tomatoes were cooked and the waiter John didnt know but asked the cook. He came and explained how we can replicate the flavor at home and that was awesome and genuine. Great atmosphere and very cool!
A charming setting with a hefty price tag and lackluster flavors.First, the service is great and accommodating. They do the best they can.Started off with their Electri-Fries, which despite their appetizing appearance were fairly bland (other than the special sauce). The special sauce was over powering and not my favorite choice on loaded fries. The Edison burger was enjoyable to eat but fairly standard. Nothing special in the least. For the price tag, its a hard bite to swallow. I paired it with a side salad, which again went with the theme of being bland.Drinks were good but sip slowly because youll drain your bank account very quickly.Overall, I would not recommend going more than once. You go, check out the scenery, and eat underwhelming food with an overwhelming price tag. Say you went, check that box off, and dont go back unless someone forces you.
Eclectic atmosphere, attentive and wonderful staff, delicious food that elevates seemingly simple food to something extraordinary. The bartender came and helped us with a nightcap by finding out our taste profiles and making us a new drink. A must do!
Absolutely beautiful interior. Their live music was one of the best parts of our dinner. The food was AMAZING. not good but AMAZING. The burger, the salad, everything we ordered was delicious. The staff and our waitress were super kind and professional. definitely recommend this place
Dinner at The Edison was a blast. They had the best speakeasy atmosphere, along with full dress from the staff, and incredible entertainment. The music was fun, the cocktails insanely good and inventive , and the food seemingly familiar but taken to a sinfully delicous level. The Edison burger was the best burger Ive ever had and that surprised me! The hanging bacon was so much fun and delicous. Loved the dulce de Leche cheesecake. Its our new date night place for sure.
What a unique venue. Its gorgeous. You could spend days just looking around at all the detail. Its amazing. So many cool pieces and the layout is fantastic and the food is top notch. Worth a visit if youre in the area.
This restaurant was so nice. We arrived without a reservation and mentioned it was our Anniversary date night and they fit us in! 👏🏻❤️ We got 2 rounds of drinks and shared an appetizer and a main course. It was delicious and the server was very sweet and friendly. She knew her drinks too!We got the Patented Old Fashion smoked, and that was the best my husband has ever had. I got a lemon drop martini. And then we both got Tesla… that was good too!! The Salmon was for our meal and it was awesome!
First time thereIt is an American gastro pub. The Edison burger was tops and worth the price. First thought it was over priced but well worth the money. Make sure you go Thursday through Sunday and after 7 pm. The have a 15 min show. But I suggest reservations. Will definitely go back for the burger. Wait staff was very helpful with menu items. Great experience.
Eclectic, jazzy speakeasy vibe! What an experience, front row seats for the 1920s style remake of modern classic songs, Lady Gaga, Rhianna, etc. The food and service were on par too. We really enjoyed our dining experience and would recommend.
The Restaurant/Bar was beautiful with upscale decor. Problem I had was service at the bar. Bartender didnt have a good disposition for service. Servers coming to pick up drink orders were actually scared to deal with, expressing to us they dislike when he is working. One drink and moved on. I will try this again and hope next visit will be more pleasant. Cheers
So I have been to almost every restaurant in Disney springs. This place kills them all. Hands down the best food, best service, and the decor is like walking back in time. They have left no detail untouched. I just love everything about this place. The hostess Ashley made our day right from hello. I have owned and built restaurants for over three decades and this place just delivers. Go there ASAP and you will not be disappointed. It is a place to dine in and feel like you are in another time and place.
Was excited to eat here with family. Atmosphere was exactly as expected. Food was poor quality and cold by the time it gets brought upstairs…. If you get the right meal ( need a better way of alerting waitstaff to which burger has cheese, we’ll done ect. (my husband got the pink inside instead of my grandson , they did half price the burger). My suggestion would be just go for drinks or dessert, menu isn’t that big anyway.
December 2021 - came her on a date night. The atmosphere was awesome. Loved the looked on the inside. Staff was great and we had a great waitress. The have 3 llvely ladies who have wonderful voices. For food we had Electri- fries, short ribs and roasted chicken. All 3 were good. Juicy, hot and tasted great. Great for date night or out with a group.
The food was pretty good, and of course, the aesthetic of the restaurant was top notch (which one would expect in Downtown Disney). Also, I always appreciate it when they give extra attention to the bathrooms... the devil is in the details.Ive eaten at the T-Rex restaurant over 20 times, its just been a tradition when I swing by, and frankly, I didnt think others places were would be designed as cool. Ive always walked past this place like many others here, but not any more. Im starting to try knew places and now certain places definitely shock me... this place... this place just looks great! (Similar to Toothesome in City Walk)
Do yourself a huge favor and come in for a fantastic and surprising experience. Incredible atmosphere bringing back the 20s in an industrial gothic-themed restaurant thats one of the very best Ive been to in a long time. B&W TVs and film protectors showing oldies but goodies, old factory steel beams and bathroom stalls, valve switchboards behind the well-stacked bar... All help making the experience unique and authentic. Special compliments to the kitchen for getting the cooking point exactly how I wanted (and notice the "medium rare" tag on my burger bun to ensure its just right). We also saw an awesome music show by The Sound Society band. Will definitely be back here many times.
Glad we stopped in to The Edison! Such a cool place! I loved the unique atmosphere. Drinks and food were excellent. I had a smoked old fashion and it was hard to not keep ordering them! A bit on the pricey side but unfortunately most restaurants in Disney Springs are. Will definitely be heading back to sit and sip drinks and listen to music!
Delightful dinning experience in all regards. The interior has a fun industrial feel and perfect setting for the feel of the menu and entertainment. We had the candied bacon and Calamari for our starters. Both were delicious, the Bacon was sweet and with a playful presentation and the Calamari was well balanced by the hot Peppers. The Tomato soup and Grilled cheese caught my eye for my main and it did not disappoint. Stuffed with a perfect blend of cheese, just the right amount of crunch on the exterior, and the tomato soup was delightfully fresh and savory. Our table also ordered the short rib which was a big hit and the Edison Burger which offers a lot and is exactly what a premium burger should be. Everything was perfectly cooked and the plating was well constructed. The staff were all very attentive and friendly for a very relaxing evening. Will be happy to dine here again in the future.
