The East Gate Hotel in Kohima

First time travelled to kohima and directly went to the hotel after a long flight and bumpy ride but the hotel view , classy room and supportive staffs made the stay really cozy and enjoyful.The locality is just in the market where local shops are few steps away .Lastly dinner was too yummy in the hotel.

Very clear, good behaviour, beautiful belcony view ,, specially I like toilet 🚽 of this Hotel , very very comfortable and decoration.

Only hotel that was opened on Sundays. Good food food service. Very gentle staff

The hotel is centrally located and most importantly is it always clean and well managed. I am an early riser, and most often the staffs are up early and ready to serve coffee. Food is great, and though the menu on Naga dishes is limited I found them to be well prepared.

I loved everything about this hotel but mobile networks are very poor in the hotel location. Hotel wifi is also slow.

A good place for visitors wanting to have access to many parts of the town. Its central in location because its at a walkable distance from both the main town and PR Hill. Although there isnt much parking space there are a few spaces for those who come with a car. It has a good scenic view of half of Kohima overlooking the beautiful mountainous South side. It gets ample sunlight and has good air flow. The rooms are also spacious and clean and the service is at par with any other restaurants in the city. Prices are fine for two although it could be better. There are also alternative routes to the hotel in order to avoid traffic if necessary.

As a frequent traveller, this hotel is the best in Kohima. A minute walk from the Kohima World War II Cemetery, lies this hotel with a panoramic view of Kohima city from the balcony. Booked at Rs2500 per room, the rooms are large with big bathrooms, toiletries and safe. The premises has free parking. The best thing here is the service. From inhouse dining to room service every thing was good. The receptionist was too sweet. She arranged us a taxi for local sightseeing. Would definitely visit again.

Location is good. Opposite to war cemetery. Food and service is also good.

The services provided here are quite good from room services, wifi, foods ( breakfast,lunch and dinner), hygienic washroom and also easy accessible for public transportation

Had stayed here 3 years back for a medical conference at Oking hospital.Centrally located near War memorial.Reasonably priced.Very good buffet breakfast.

Hotel is adjacent to busy street next to war memorial. If lucky, balcony is a peek into city view.Receptionist is good and provides services till late evening. Since Nagaland is a dry state, receptionist arranges necessary help.Complimentary breakfast include a limited pre-ordered menu, and not a buffet breakfast.Rooms are spacious and neat, while challenge is getting hot water. Water Geyser was small and not enough hot water even for single person.Food is great at restaurant.

Excellent and courteous staff. The service they provide is really good. The rent is reasonable. The food was awesome. The rooms are well maintained and spacious. The only cons were the food is little bit expensive and the WiFi wasnt working during our whole stay. But I had an awesome stay at this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Was supposed to give 4 star but Im giving extra 1 star for the excellent service provided by all the staffs during my stay and their courteous behaviour. Will surely stay at the same hotel if I happen to visit Kohima again.
