The Duke Pub & Grill - Bar & grill in Lethbridge, Canada
The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The live music the had was nice and the bartender was friendly and knows how to pour a good drink. The dozzie burger is good
Wanted to try this place out. Sadly first impressions are everything. Friday with less than 8 patrons at 5pm. The bar table was very dirty and there was dead bugs and debris on the floor under the bar stool. Not going to post pics but me and my friends left immediately. They open at 4 the place was disgusting at 5!!!??? Someone did not clean properly the night before. Sorry Duke I was looking forward to giving you a try.
Good food, friendly staff, and good live music.
Stopped in to try something new really good food and drinks and 80s and 2000s bingo was going on was fun we won and got some money off the bill
Part of a local chain of British pubs, The Duke is an appropriate representation of many British pubs I have been pleased to enjoy in Anglia. It is a place for food, drink and conversation. Food is good; beer and cider on tap - Smithwick, Guinness, Strongbow, Stella Artois, Harp and many others including local microbrews.
Got the burger and it was pretty massive. Came when they were doing music bingo which made it fun overall.
Kitchen closes before 11pm. Sri ja are probably good.
Just had my first meal and a few cocktails at the Duke in Dunwoody since moving to Altlanta Metro! Impeccable service. Delicious, fresh food and great atmosphere. Overall, the best experience I’ve had at a pub! Can’t wait to come back. This is my new spot. Ashley was my bartender and she was professional, friendly and attentive
Bartenders are awesome!! Ashley is my favorite. Always has a smiling face and knows my drink order before I sit down. That’s what I call service!
We always have a great time at the Duke. Music Bingo is fun, theres always sports or whatever youre trying to watch on the TVs (if not, just ask!We have asked for menu modifications several times for various reasons and always been worked with. Theres generally something fun going on for holidays or special events (looking at you, Christmas party and whiskey tasting events! Its a great stop after work and have a drink bar, no one is judging you and its cozy and casual for friends to gather.
Looking for good food? You wont find it here! All fried foods such as fish and chips are cooked in old, disgusting oil that makes the food extra greasy. Double check the menu pricing. yelp menu pricing, physical menus at restaurant and QR codes dont match and its anybodys guess what price youll be charged. Dont complain to the manager (see comment abovebecause shes so busy drinking and socializing with other alcoholics at the bar who are her fans and regulars. The good news? No crowds here for food except at the bar. Check out the latest health inspection report that ensures you might get a little extra protein with your meal...
Stopped in for dinner and a pint. Great location and the restaurant is in excellent condition. Staff was friendly with wonderful service. Thank you!
I was expecting a British Pub environment, this was just any other basic tavern with no character, and pricey.
The Duke has become a favorite on my list. The food, service and atmosphere completely Amazing. First visit not my last for my husband and myself.
Me and my girlfriend stopped here after seeing Christmas lights 12/4/2021 around 8pm we were welcomed in seated immediately. The server Faith was awesome enough could not be said. It happened to be sound check trivia night where we played best music of the 80s bingo. Overall was a great atmosphere and would definitely stop by again when In the Dunwoody area.
Irish pub near perimeter mall with a very spacious indoor dining area. This spot is a part of the Dunwoody Restaurant Group so it has a menu similar to some of the other Irish style pubs in its restaurant group. This was my first time visiting this particular restaurant and I only drank. I inquired about any sparkling wines that they have and they only had prosecco. My friend ordered a Guinness. We didnt see them pour the Guinness but it appeared to be done properly. The place had alot of nice comfortable seating and plenty of TVs. Its located right by Fogo de chao so they share a parking lot. The amount of parking does not match the size of these two places. When I arrived, the lot was almost completely full. However, there werent many people in The Duke. They need more parking, especially since it appears that another restaurant is opening in that lot. I would go back but be prepared to circle the parking lot a few times to look for a spot.
2nd time around. This is a great place to relax and have awesome food. Clean and distinct setting with very kind staff. Very welcoming and feels like you are hanging out with good neighbors.
Only stopped in for drinks, the bar tender was so friendly and the cocktails were soooooooo good! I wish I would have taken a photo because they were as good as they looked!
They have espresso martinis!! Food is great also. I dont think the happy hour options are worth the money.
Highly anticipated base on reviews only to be disappointed. There was a putrid smell as we entered the establishment which would remind you of vomit. Fish and chips were undercooked. My granddaughters grilled cheese was essentially a cheese sandwich warmed in the microwave. Smallest Guinness Ive ever drunk although it was good. Service was good but not great. There was a sign saying they were short staffed. Hopefully not like we experienced all of the time.
One of the best bars I have ever been to! The servers have the best energy and are so friendly and personable. Plus their drinks are awesome! I definitely recommend this place! Shout out to Faith and Brent! ❤️
The Duke has a vibe of a very upscale pub with comfortable bar stools and friendly people. The drinks and food are delicious. Everyone should come by for their happy hour small bites and drinks. I would definitely recommend this pub for an enjoyable experience.
Beautiful bar & restaurant. Service is top notch. Brent always has great one liners that keep the atmosphere light & happy. Ashley is THE best bartender in ATL. Drinks are always spot on & creative with specials changing on a regular basis so you can always try something new or stick with what you like. Covid protocols are followed above & beyond. They even wipe down the salt & pepper shakers before & after each use. The Dunwoody Doozie hamburger can not be beat!! Always cooked to perfection. I love the fish tacos if you’re looking for something a little lighter. Fish & chips remind me of my time in London with a crispy, light batter served with big, fat steak fries. 10/10 would recommend this hidden little gem.
Great Service !! The food and drinks are delicious! I love the ambience and decor. The bartender always has good drink suggestions when you want to try something new! Everyone who works there is friendly and makes you welcomed .I’ll be back for sure!
The waiter was SO RUDE for no reason at all. When deciding whether or not to order the cookie sundae for dessert, we were asking questions about if it came with ice cream, if it was the best desert on the menu, and I said to my friend “We should get it” and she said “should we?” like normal people have done millions of times when deciding to order a decadent dessert, and in the middle of me responding to her he interrupted and barked at us “SO IS THAT A YES???!!! DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT???!!!” Let me stress that he said it without jest of any kind- he was just seriously annoyed that we were taking too long to decide, which was about a total of 45 seconds. Also, let me stress that there was ONE other customer in the entire restaurant, so it wasn’t as if he had other customers waiting. He literally had nothing else to do. This incident happened after we had asked if they could remake a sandwich we had ordered that had seemed to missing cheese, and also had jalapeños on it which we didn’t realize. Yes, it was on the menu but as it was a cheese steak, we didn’t even think about it when we read the menu. I don’t know what he told the manager, but we were very polite about it, and she came out holding the sandwich with an attitude, saying “If you hadn’t waited TWO hours to pick up your order, maybe it would have looked better.” Surprised by her annoyed tone, I replied “The sandwich looks great, I just didn’t see any cheese.” She said, “That’s because it’s queso cheese and it sank into the bread so you can’t see it,” like I should have deduced that on my own, like it’s standard for a cheesesteak to come with queso, not regular melted Swiss or provolone. So I said, “Oh! Well that explains it!” So she says, “The waiter said you asked to have us remake the sandwich, and I’ll do it this time, but this won’t happen again because it’s your fault you took so long to come pick up your food.” (We had called the order in and didn’t manage to pick it up for two hours because I was finishing a work project deadline, and I knew they were open til midnight, and I didn’t realize there was a TIME LIMIT on picking up food to go!!! So I said, “I have no problem paying for the new sandwich,” thinking “ I’ll just take back the one I already handed back to the waiter who walked away with it and then who knows what happened to it before you appeared with it tableside, because yes that seems like something I’d love to eat now.” But for some reason she still had an attitude with me, and had to confirm that I wanted to order a new sandwich.” Had I not been hungry and had nowhere else to get food at that point I would have said “NO THANK YOU!” and walked out. But I was extra nice, and said “yes please” and “thank you very much.” Not to mention I had already signed the check and given her over 20% tip! The rest of the time we were there the guy waiter was rude whenever we asked for anything, like a refill of club soda even. The manager was less rude but still had an attitude, for what reason o cannot fathom. All I can think is they were both really mad we took too long to pick up our order, even though we ended up staying at the place for another hour and a half having drinks and eating our “to go” food. The whole experience was unacceptable and I will NEVER go back, and it’s too bad because they have good food and it’s across the street from my apartment! But I NEVER want to see that AWFUL, RUDE, SOCIALLY INCOMPETENT jerk of a waiter ever again.
This place has a cool look and some of the comfiest/nicest bar stools around, but their food was terrible (rotten cucumbers in my side salad, frozen black bean patty in my wrap after being told it was made in-houseand the bartender was moody and disinterested.
Great service and good burger and Tuscan chicken sandwich. Good cocktails, too - a well done Manhattan. We will be back.
Good local spot with some really awesome food and staff! Dont get discouraged with restrictive menu, due to covid..Still great!
Very friendly service. Dining room is very clean, and employees conscientiously observe COVID-19 guidelines. Chicken strips and fries were served soaking in grease, which unfortunately made them somewhat tasteless. Burger was ordered to be medium, but cooked to well done plus. 99% sure all the food is cooked from frozen.
Beautiful establishment. The bartender (Ashleyis the sweetest! Its fairly quiet so service is super fast! Its truly a hidden gem.
Great place for fish and chips and beyond, good draft beer selection, food is made to order and tastes the way it should be.
Disappointing. Bangers and mash too salty. Shepherds pie dry and too little mash, too much grilled/chard green beans no flavor. Kids enjoyed fish and chips, chicken fingers and chips. No glass of milk or hot tea ie British style with milk. Had to settle for water we dont drink alcohol. Nowhere near a good British pub, its for drinkers only.
Great service. The menu was a replica of all the others in this restaurant/pub group. It could use some refreshing, but it is reliable and everything is tasty. The kitchen also helped my husband figure out the lowest sodium option to meet some new dietary restrictions which was hugely helpful. We were there just before places shuttered up for Coronapocalypse and appreciated all they did for our safety.
My brother in law loved this establishment since our first visit. Today we visited his favorite local pub to raise a pint in toast to him . The staff was awesome ! Reggie, we tap our glasses and look forward to the day that we join you in Valhalla! Eat when you can and drink when you can ! We love you!!!
Great group of people work here. Food is well made and just what you would expect. During lunch it is not busy at all. Good place to take clients.
Went to Dukes first time today and had the best meal and they best service by Stacey our waitress, she was AWESOME and made our visit so much more enjoyable!! Must go to place and definitely ask for Stacey when you go!!
As a Brit the décor and ambience are on point: wooden bar that extends throughout - Wetherspoons style booths and tables, Youngs brewery style wall decor. Perhaps spoiled a little bit by big sports screens in every corner and upbeat dad rock soundtrack. Menus designed to look like a newspaper, newkie brown beer mats, I was even trying to work out if the bar staff had deliberately dressed a bit like they lived in IG1, Essex.Best part is they have made you feel like youre hanging out in a pub, rather than the strict Americana bar feel, I didnt feel bussed at any point.Beer selection is fine, Guinness, Newkie, Stella - would love to see some real ale though. Fish and chips is... like all the fish and chips youll eat in this state: basically fish fingers and steak cut oven chips (they tried!but conspicuous for its absence were any kind of peas: garden or mushy.By 11pm on a friday night had got pretty slow so dont expect a knees up into the wee hours - but overall a solid place for a pint.
The service was wonderful and the staff incredibly attentive and friendly. The parking however was abysmal, I ended up having to park down the hill on the other side of the hotel across the parking lot from the place. The food itself is okay. I found the fish tasty but a little greasy and the twice-cooked fries not as crisp as I would have expected if they had indeed been fried in the traditional twice-fried style. We also tried the Irish spring rolls which sounds like theyre made from green and white soap but is really an Irish take on egg rolls stuffed with chopped corned beef and sauerkraut. They were tasty but also a little greasy. My guess would be that theyre not getting the cooking oil quite hot enough for the fried dishes, meaning that they food has to stay in the oil too long and gets a little greasy. The nacho appetizer was a nacho appetizer, decent but nothing to get excited about. My wife did really enjoy her wedge salad.
Love the idea of a British Pub! Tried to go here to give it a shot. Parking is MORE than a nightmare! And by nightmare, I mean non-existent. We stopped by at 6:30 on a Tuesday and there wasn’t a spot. At all. This place is sandwiched between a Residence Inn and a Fogo d’ whatever... I fear for their survival...I mean, if you build it, they will come...but they’re going to need to be able to park....unfortunate.
Great British themed pub. Fantastic menu, cool laid back atmosphere, and the music is top notch! The staff was amazing! Very attentive and suggestive for the group I was with, we were all newbies to the eatery. When Im back in the area I will definitely be back!
My husband speaks volumes about this franchise so I had to try them out! Yes it’s the perfect pub atmosphere. The details of THE DUKE I love from the classic furniture, Great Wall decor, clean restrooms, excellent staff and THE FOOD! Reasonably priced and great location.
The bangers and mash and the fish and chips were great. The atmosphere was very clean but definitely in the style of an English pub.
Carrie and staff were wonderful! Great service and food. Pretty cool environment as well. Definitely would recommend giving a try
Me and my Coworkers came around 10 after seeing the sign earlier in the week. We started with Drinks and they were great. My coworkers ordered bangers and mash and fish and chips. I ordered the lobster grilled cheese. Everything was AWESOME. We had amazing service from Adam. We all agreed we will be back and very soon. Great place with great food and service.
Went for lunch and ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. It would have been amazing had they not put mayonnaise on it! The cheese did not stick to the bread, the bread slid off as I picked it up. I have never seen anyone put Mayo on a grilled cheese...so disappointing. Hot mayo on a grilled cheese should be against the law. I will go back and try something else because the menu has some great items. I just chose the wrong one...
Excellent music and atmosphere!
Great new local bar in Dunwoody! The food is delicious (try the reuben!Relaxing environment and excellent spot to watch your sports. Staff is nice and the GM is more than accommodating.
The food and service here are above expectation! I met with one of the managers, Todd, and he was super accommodating and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!
Great local spot! Friendly and welcoming staff and bartenders. Great food and super yummy cocktails! Cool, relaxed atmosphere with great music and nice clean decor. If you like corned beef, try the cheese steak! And the meatloaf too! We will be back!
Its brand new so you probably havent been there yet. Put your phone down and go there now! This place was phenomenal. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, perfect pint of Guinness, great wine selection for the friend who joined me, but above all else... that food! The Brooklyn Reuben was every bit as good as you can find anywhere in New York City, but the thief of the night, the thing that stole the entire show... the Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Holy hell. If you had this sandwich sitting on a plate on top of your head, and your hands were tied behind your back, you would actually give yourself two black eyes with your tongue trying to get to it. Its that good! Nice to see a good place with good food thats actually run well. Special shout out to the manager that came and spoke with us. I think his name was Todd.
