A crêperie & tearoom in a historic house, also offering beer, wine, cupcakes & a cigar lounge.
We chose the Duck & Bunny to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. To me, they are well priced especially for a two tiered custom cake and over 140 cupcakes. They are very nice and went over every detail. My fiance, two of my bridesmaids & I went there for cake tasting and they were amazing! Great service and attentiveness. After we had devoured the cupcakes, she sat down and went over every option and made sure we had what we liked on our list and reviewed decorations. Not only were they super nice to us,but to every customer there as well. Every customer was treated with equal respect and kindness. I will DEFINITELY recommend their events service to everyone!
Yesterday I tried the Pawtucket site with a friend. Both locations are so like an English tea room I want to love it, but as cute as it is, I only like it. The food is tasty but overpriced. The scones small (and yesterday’s dryand expensive. Thank heaven for jam. In Pawtucket you order at the counter so no server but I recall in Providence, the service was adequate but not impressive. All that said, the idea of it may draw me back again. Being cute is not much of a recommendation, but it is actually worth one trip I think. Just wait until Providence location opens again and be wary of the scones.
Very cozy and friendly! Food was good and pastries even better!!
This is a perfect spot for a wonderful date night. Their crepes are fantastic, if youre a Rhody native youll definitely want to try their NY system wiener crepe! Its a very intimate setting seating wise, its called a snuggery for a reason. Their drinks are fantastic as well and so is the staff. They have really good cupcakes too and other non savory crepes for dessert.
What is not to love about a snuggery? The atmosphere can’t be beat. It’s exactly what you want if you are looking for a relaxing night or afternoon out. It’s even great for a night out when you want a break from alcoholic drinks... just order a pot of tea for 2 and you’ve got yourself a cozy evening! The crepes are very yummy as well!
What an adorable place! We came for tea and desserts, and yummm. I had the scones with the cream and jams and they were deeeelicious. I sort of accidentally got a coffee, which was not my favorite thing to drink, but it was really my own fault for not asking if the latte had coffee (and no, latte does not mean coffee!). We had a little wait, and its so tiny in the little hall area, but eventually some comfy chairs freed up and we waited in those instead until we got a nice corner seat in the front. I would definitely make this place a haunt if I were local.
My wife and I went there for the first time our server was very good and helped us a lot with menu. He helped us make some good choices and we enjoyed our dinner. The server was friendly and very knowledgeable. We also took some cupcakes home with us, delicious! We’ll be back
The food was great. I had crepe bundles with smoked salmon and cream fraiche. I also enjoyed a glass of mulled wine, like the one I had in December at the Christkindmarket in Chicago..., delicious. My friends complained of having difficulty finding a parking spot, but I did not mind, because we met inside as we arrived, while having a drink.
My boyfriend and I came here for our first date as well as our one year anniversary we served by Josh and Ashley who are both wonderful people! Great food great atmosphere but it is worth the wait. Josh even gave us two cupcakes for our anniversary. We will be coming back each year for our anniversary ❤️. Thank you Duck and Bunny!
Ive had the cupcakes from here before and all but I think $1.25 for a really tiny cupcake is a bit pricey. Not to mention $14 for coffee is insane. The atmosphere and setting is really nice and old fashioned. I did find it a little upsetting when I was looking at the menu they pulled it away.
The food was delicious. Both in presentation and taste. The wait staff was friendly fly and attentive. My only advise would be adding some subtle dotted floor paths to give staff and guests a better idea of where to wait. The initial step into a crowded room had us guessing whether to wait to be seen and signed in, or where tosit..
What a charming, romantic, and delicious brunch spot! The bread pudding is wonderful. The portions are a lot smaller than youd expect for the price, which is fine when the food is great. I knocked a star off because the chairs at the bar are VERY rickety. I like to know Im on sturdy seating when Im drinking!
This place is a little easy to miss from the outside, but so eclectic and unique on the inside. About a 25 minute walk from DT Providence. They took the duck and bunny theme to their grave - play a game and find the hidden ducks/bunnies on the inside! The candlelit ambiance and cozy seating area make it great for a romantic dinner or dessert outing, or laidback tea and coffee with friends. Outdoor seating is available, with a waitlist at peak times. The place is a bit narrow and looks to have been a residence at some point, as the kitchen is directly next to the bathroom, so be careful when stepping out as you may encounter employees trying to get by.We had the seasonal plates, which were good, especially the Crepeadilla; however, the Crepe Lo Mein was overpowered by soy sauce, which made it difficult to enjoy fully. The banana Nutella and espresso mocha cupcakes were delicious and very sweet! Local craft beer featured on the menu, and the menu had excellent pairing suggestions with meals. Our waitress was great with recommendations and keeping up with our table. Would definitely recommend as a lovely local restaurant to friends visiting east Providence!
Always good food, definitely try the honey lattè or one of their many teas
Amazing little place in Providence. When you see it from outside you dont think much of it but when you get in its a whole different look and feel. It is a nice and cozy atmosphere. I really loved the food and drinks. The cupcakes are amazing too. Friendly staff and great ambience.
Super cozy, quaint place/snuggery 😊 Great desserts, atmosphere and staff. Wish they had liquor but the coffee and wine went great with their desserts.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and just a touch quirky, and the staff are all absolutely amazing! Casey, the bartender, took great care of me and the waitstaff all made it a fun time. I will definitely be back again and again!
Had a nice 1st experience. Lovely servers and lovely environment. The menu is creative but not a crazy big menu. Dishes are average size - not big. Great choices for drinks.
Such s cute place for delicious crepes and small sandwiches. Nice surprise!! The patio out back is so sweet and intimate for a late night glass of wine or coffees. Desserts are yummy. Wait staff is very accommodating.
The food was amazing and the service was adequate. I was not crazy about the atmosphere. My dining companion and I were hoping for a quiet atmosphere, but they had blasting music and everyone was crammed in and practically sitting on top of each other. The bathroom is in a very awkward place next to the entry to the kitchen. I think theyre trying to fit too much in a small space.
I have been here many times and every visit has been absolutely wonderful. Their food is delicious and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Their crepe dishes are their signature offering. Their savoury crepes are my favorite. A few of our noteable choices are the crepeccini, duck and bunny roll, and the wyatt-reuben.I definitely recommend getting a pot of tea if you are there with another person or two. Their cupcakes are amazing and come in a variety of flavor combinations. I most recently had a vegan coconut-lime cupcake that could quite possibly top all other cupcakes Ive ever had. This place is very small and gets packed pretty quickly. If the weather is nice, they will have the back patio open for dining as well. I recommend coming at an odd hour if you can to avoid the lunch/dinner rush.Lastly when you do arrive make sure to look closely at each of the paintings on the walls for a little duck or bunny.
Delicious brunch eats with the Bunny Bleu salad (pictureda fave. Crepes are a good choice too. Dine on or out, but I love dining in. Its decorated as if you were visiting some cool aunt who bakes. Which by the way, a mini selection of cup cakes is not a bad way to go and makes perfect dessert for 2 if get four in a box.
Delicious food great atmosphere. We were seated in the second room when we went on a Saturday afternoon. First time being seated there and it was nice and cozy. filled up fast. No reservations for small parties so you might have to wait and the place is small but well worth it. The Patio is very nice as well in the warmer months.
It was a beautiful day and my friend and I decided to have brunch in the back patio area. Great ambience great food..staff was awesome. Love that they are dog friendly.
I love this place. Both savory and sweet crepes are delicious. The cupcakes are amazing. There are both gluten free and vegan options. Some deserts are seasonal, so always worth checking back every once and a while. It is a snuggery, meaning cozy- so space can get a tight, and it is a popular place. Best to call ahead. But they have a small bar top perfect for solo diners.
Great desserts, beautiful atmosphere, and friendly staff
Wow! We had the bananas foster French toast for desert and the Portuguese bread savory bread pudding for appetizer. Amazing. Great coffee too. Its pretty tight inside but cozy and eclectic decor. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and great service
I bought a box of cupcakes for dessert with friends. They were a big hit, although a bit pricey. The favorites were the chocolate but that is always everyones favorite. The place is adorable so I plan to go back and spend some time eating in-house. Glad to find this place.
Its a nice and cozy place if you want to hang out with friends and have some tea. I went there for a friends birthday and we had a great time. Also, their food is delicious and their cupcakes are adorable.
Really great brunch spot; my friend and I wanted to try a new place in the area and found this restaurant off a few reviews online. The food and drinks came quickly, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely come again!
Dare I say its maybe a little over rated? Not sure crepes really do it for me, much less the bland veggie one I had here. However! I will say that their cupcakes are worth the buzz and the atmosphere of the back patio in warmer months makes it worth while.
Their cupcakes used to be divine but something changed... they got alot smaller. Food is still good..Also I had a cinnamon frosted pumpkin beer here for the first time.Great place but Im sad their cupcakes are so small and disappointing now. :(Also if you like peace and ambiance never take a date here on friday or Saturday the college kids are too loud.
Cozy, trendy restaurant near Providence colleges. The food is okay, a little pretentious, but the cupcakes are excellent.
The atmosphere is very unique. Definitely worth a visit. I only had a dessert, so I cant speak to the rest of the menu, but the carrot cake cupcake was pretty good, but a little dry. I would definitely stop in again.
Usually extremely busy during breakfast or brunch hours. Quality food, decent prices, cupcakes are delicious. There is also a beautiful back yard area that I would recommend checking out. Additionally, you may have events in the back yard area, information is available on their website.
Small but very cozy spot to get coffee, tea, cocktails, dessert, and even brunch. Great variety in cupcake flavors in a comfortable atmosphere. Can get busy in the evenings and on weekends.
The cocktails here are made with wine or Prosecco as they do not have a full bar but they are super tasty and uncommon (watermelon mimosas for example). The food is unique but very flavorful and seasoned well. They also have a great tea selection and cupcakes as well. It is on the smaller side so it would be wise to call ahead for a reservation.
The wait can be long so Id advise going on "off" hours, maybe during the week. It can be super noisy (especially the room with the fireplaceand the place has a worn out, down at the heels feel to it. The hostess has a decidedly "I couldnt care less about you" vibe, which is too bad as she sets the tone for your experience. Once shes out of the way though, it gets better. Those things aside, the food is good. I especially like the "Afternoon Tea" option. Im a "grazer," so a selection of 2-bite sandwiches, a couple 1" cookies, 2" cupcakes, a scone and a pot of tea is my idea of the perfect meal. Savory bread pudding was excellent, fluffy and flavorful, the truffle home fries were delicious. I had smoked salmon sushi, which was tasty. The lemon and sugar crepe was good, nothing outstanding, but good. Serving sizes were perfect for us, not too much, not too little, just right. That said, they are much smaller than average American restaurant servings (which I think are way too large.Sitting outside was much quieter, bring a jacket in case its chilly (they have shawls, but not knowing who else has worn them, combined with the venues overall shabbiness gave me second thoughts. The cupcakes are good but I have to say they are hit or miss. I got a cafe au lait with frosting that had melted and congealed on one side, the cake itself could have been a weapon it was so dense. On the other hand, the jelly donut cupcake was light, fluffy and had just the right amount of jelly. Although they boast a huge, interesting menu of cupcakes, its mostly the basics available when Ive eaten there (3 times, red velvet, carrot cake etc. Overall, the Duck and Bunny is a great concept, but it could be better executed. Id give the D and B 2.5 stars if I could but 3 stars with the Afternoon Tea being good enough to outweigh the negatives.
The Duck and Bunny is a great place. Its really small and cozy. While a restaurant that specializes in crepes might not sound like the best place to go for an actual dinner, just think about it. They do have some actual dinner options, I got a crepe with black forest ham, cheese, and caramel mustard. It wasnt bad, but if you want to let the bad decision side of you win you can order a sweet crepe, with ice cream or without, and eat it for dinner. Overall the menu is rather small; however, everything on it sounds like a good choice. Unfortunately I do have to mention the one bad thing about my experience. We had ordered a special version of a certain sweet crepe as a to-go for the end of the order. But despite checking with is several times to make sure they had our request correct, we received a normal version of this item. It wasnt a big deal for us, they were after all bring generous and allowing us to substitute in the item, but it was the only thing closely resembling a rough patch in the experience. Overall, its a great place.
Great place to end a date night if youre craving something sweet. Ive been here a few times (admittedly only for dessertsand on each occasion the food was scrumptious. Prices are good for the quality and service is fine, though they could stand to top off the water more frequently on hot summer nights.
We were temping to leave before we even walked in, but this unique little tea room, is amazing. After visiting, we try looking something similar every place we visit. The cozy warm shop has great variety of tea and very slim choices for vegan cupcakes.
Some of the best food I have ever tried. The flavors were complex but not overwhelming. The environment is quaint and cozy and the people working there are all smiles. Kind of cramped for my 63" height and I bumped my head on two chandeliers, but thats what you get for going into an old Providence building.
Definitely seems geared towards older women (atmosphere wisebut its a very relaxing environment. Great place to go to for the warmer months when you can sit outside and lounge. Prices are a little up there but not terrible. The food is great and the service was excellent. Its an especially great place to bring your mom!
What a wonderful restaurant! Bohemian/hipster/etc. food and decor make this a unique little gem in an accessible area of Providence. If I had any complaint, sometimes you will receive small portions. Theyre not being cheap, thats just how the dish works. They make one strong espresso, too. I recommend a bowl of soup + a "simply scones". Should fill a man. Cupcakes are top-tier. Your woman will love it.
Its impossible to describe this place correctly. Its cozy, an very inviting with its different rooms and windows over looking the bustling street. Just go and check it out. Both the food and the drinks are outstanding. You cant go wrong with this great spot. No other restaurant like it in the city.
Quirky little place we came across on our exploration of the city when we were in need of a caffeine hit. The cupcakes were lovely and well presented. The place is very small, and it can get quite intimate with other tables, so a private chat is certainly out of the question. The service was good, although waiting for food to arrive took a while.
What a thoroughly delightful spot! Very cute, cozy, breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant serving a full English tea as well. Their Portuguese sweetbread bread pudding is just as good as everyone says. We really liked the brunch cocktails too - not sweet at all. The only slight disappointment on our most recent visit was the shrill, vocal shredding harpies seated at every table. Bring earplugs as insurance.
Duck and Bunny is VERY good; loved by locals. It is a very different type of restaurant specializing in cupcakes, but they also have entrees too! Their outdoor seating is cool! However, I am a big guy, and inside is very small and the tables very close. I would say that this doesnt detract from their rating. Duck and Bunny is a great place to visit!
I wasnt quite sure what to expect when I first entered the duck & bunny and took a look at their menu. The menu was a tad different compared to the usually places I go to for a brunch. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food really is! I had a side of seconds with my brunch and they were to die for so if youre a scone lover make sure to those! Also, their cupcakes are to die for! I had the salted caramel brownie and was really happy with my purchase
I love this place! I have never been to a better snuggery. My favorite thing to get is scones with cream and jam (divine!). Their crepes are also good, and they have a tempting selection of tea.Cupcakes are hit or miss. Red velvet are delicious!
