9th November, a trip down memory lane on my birthday. Last visit to the Duchess of Kent in the early 1960s in my lovely teenage years with my friends on regular pub crawls. In those days the Duchess was a very Dickensian pub. Dark and smokie with a tap room and /or snug complete with a few ladies of the night.A rare sentimental return trip to my wonderful Bradford, having parked the car with my partner Jan our first stop was the Duchess of Kent. So different from the pub I knew so many years ago but still the same feel and atmosphere. Now more open and feeling more spacious with lovely decor and furnishings. The Landlord was very welcoming and friendly a really nice guy as the other customers were too.
