Description
Love this place, great food, great coffee, great drinks, lovely staff, sweet vibe
MoreLovely restaurant. Very tasty food and great service.
(Hotel stay onlyAbsolutely loved our stay here, wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night! Very friendly welcome at check-in, and every staff member we met was charming. Fun and thoughtful décor in the rooms, everything was very comfortable, and some lovely touches like a fresh cookie in your room on arrival. Gorgeous Voya products in the bathroom. Stunning location as well right on the coast, and so convenient for Yeats country exploration. Will stay here again!
MoreWe went to the Driftwood for dinner the night before my wedding and even though there were 20 of us everything was absolute perfection. The food was to die for, the service excellent and prompt, the staff very welcoming and the manager Holly was an absolute delight going above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful experience!! thank you so much
MoreFantastic place to eat. Delicious food and great cocktails.
Great experience : lovely food and professional and friendly service.
Very disappointed, my daughter was given something she did not order. The wait for food was unpleasant and when it came to payment they couldnt accept card. Wont be troubling Driftwood again. Family at next table had two dogs sitting on the table how hygienic is that
MoreReally like this place, food excellent, staff very friendly, lovely views and cosy atmosphere.
MoreOur first evening in Ireland and dinner at The Driftwood did d not disappoint. In my view the Chowder and ribs are the best I’ve tasted this side of the Atlantic. Good selection of dishes to choose from with everything available. The views are also amazing.
MoreFantastic restaurant, beautiful food ,lovely atmosphere ,fabulous views and Bernice was wonderful. Thank you for an amazing dinner
MoreAbsolutely gorgeous food, lovely interior.
Nice Restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a good variety of food. Service was very nice and the food delicious.
MoreGorgeous find in Rosses point. Food was fabulous. Weather was sunny and we could sit outside and enjoy the view
MoreLovely atmosphere. Great food. Beautiful washrooms.
Wonderful water view B&B with an excellent restaurant on main floor. Well worth the shop!
MoreAbsolutely fantastic food brilliant Staff Excellent day out and it was my partners birthday which made it even more spectacular!!! Definitely going back without a doubt.
MoreExcellent food. Service was second to none. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended.
MoreWe went recently. 2 adults 3 kids ...food excellent for 4 of us...youngest fuzzy enough(always)..staff excellent...relaxed atmosphere..location excellent ..cost little up there...but it was very enjoyable...two kids (that eat like adults)and wife mad to return...recommend
MoreUnexpected local gem. Very friendly staff (all wearing masks). All covid procedures followed. The food was excellent and is on level with big popular places in big cities. Definitely recommending the deserts. (Went again after 2 years and it was so good, we went twice in 2 days).
MoreGreat food at affordable prices. Friendly and efficient service. Clean and tastefully decorated. Would definitely recommend.
MoreLovely setting and friendly staff but disappointed with my choice. Prawn and monkfish grattin was more like a light lunch/starter rather than a dinner in my opnion. Very little fish overall with nice side salad and sourdough side. Perhaps poor choice on my part ordering in haste but expected it to be more filling so felt it was expensive for what it was. Burger enjoyed by other half.
MoreOh this was a fantastic place,a little GEM, just there with some friends for the day,had lunch there it was to die for, strongly recommend this place, staff equally added to our visit
MoreHad a fantastic stay and meal at the Driftwood.Wish I had allowed more time to explore the surrounds.Friendly staff and lovely food.
MoreFantastic evening meal, beautiful seafood and a lovely atmosphere. A definite if you are visiting rosses point
MoreAfter a delicious dinner last night we decided to return again this evening.Original and interesting menu with great attention to detail. The oysters were superb and the lamb kofta was delicious. They also had a very tasty vegan option.Plus a good cocktail menu - with properly made Negronis. Not to mention being extremely child friendly. I would strongly recommend.
MoreBest food Ive had in very long time. Very nice staff and again, oh my god, the food! The desserts were also brilliant. 10/10!!!
MoreGreat food lovely spot well run , nice view of Sligo bay😃
Lovely food. A little bit expensive though for what it is. But a great view over the bay.
MoreThe young woman who took our order and looked after us...was one of the most smiley and pleasant I have encountered in a long while...and even though the dish I asked for was from the lunch menu (and we were there for dinnerthey went out of their way for us.The food was lovely (so much so we went back for lunch).Thank you for an enjoyable experience. You know who you are...you of the Fabulous eyelashes!
MoreAmazing place and the view is incredible ... I had the haddock and it was FANTASTIC.. girlfriend had the oysters and the seafood gratin and she still cant stop talking about how GREAT they were ... U have to visit them when your close
MoreGreat food. Lovely area and friendly staff.
We had a meal at the driftwood Sunday the 29th May 2022 the food was really lovely the staff were outstanding as it was my sisters birthday they did everything to make our visit as pleasant as possible including singing “Happy Birthday “ all in all I would highly recommend a visit to anyone visiting Sligo
MoreFantastic food. Best seafood chowder Ive ever had. Great presentation. Beautiful restaurant. Lovely views. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Really enjoyed chatting with the friendly South African waitress! We felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience
MoreExcellent food, friendly service and very nice rooms for staying overnight. Location is very convenient, ten minutes drive from Sligo and a short walk to the nearby beach.
MoreThis is a really nice restaurant - the staff are lovely & if the local lobster is on the specials then definitely get it!!
MoreRestaurant only: We went for a late lunch on Friday and it was amazing. The food was phenomenal, the service was a little slow but very efficient- in fairness I think they’re a little understaffed due to Covid, but the waitress there was very on the ball. Best meal of the trip!
MoreReally lovely birthday meal tonight at the Driftwood. There were 6 of us, all celebrating special birthdays. Meals were delicious, staff were really attentive and helpful. Beautiful views. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.
MoreFood and service were good, nice selection on the menu. Price is OK. Lacking a bit of atmosphere, could do with some low background music. Will definitely be back.
MoreNice food, nice place, but wont be going againAlthough the food looked nice (chicken jerked burgerit was just a chicken burgerStaff friendly and the vibe is nice with a good view of the coast line, but for the price of the food...Ill have to pass
MoreThis was my third time coming to the restaurant and each time I have left very happy. The food quality is top notch. Sea food chowder is a must.
MoreFish n chips. Tuna tataki. Halloumi Fries. Nutella Gnocchi and ice cream. Friendly service. Whats not to love? Lovely dinner at The Driftwood. We found parking on the street below was easier than finding a spot up in the access road. Definitely call for a reservation on Sat/Sun nights.#CoSligo #Ireland #Eat #Driftwood #SaltLife #Oceanside #WAW #WildAtlanticWay #RossesPoint
MoreSuperb bistro,Best crispy chips I have ever had.Staff was super polite and helpful.Best service provided and they have gone 1 step ahead and made a non alcoholic drink for my partnerBest bistro in townMust visit
MoreVisited the driftwood with my partner and daughter and would highly recommend. Our waitress couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating ,Our whole meal was delicious but the cookie dough skillet was definitely the highlight , freshly baked cookie dough with ice cream - yum !Will absolutely return next time we are visiting sligo :)
MorePleasant atmosphere, good service. We are vegetarians and there were two good choices in the main a la carte menu and an excellent and generous cheeseboard which was more than ample for 2. Will return there. Good value for money.
MoreOne of my favourite places to stay in Ireland. This place urges you to relax and enjoy the beautiful food, drink and surrounds. We have stayed 3 times in a year and already planning my next visit! The decor is stunning and the rooms are so beautifully designed. I would happily sit at the window and read all day!Staff are always so accomodating and friendly. The food is out of this world....i am still dreaming of the salmon main I had on Friday! The cocktails are 10/10.There is nothing i could fault!Incredible set up and delighted to rant and rave about it!
MoreWe ordered and collected the Beer Battered Cod and Chips for takeaway. Absolutely beautiful, cooked to perfection, and the batter is superb. It is the among the best Cod and Chips we have ever eaten. Will be back for more.
MoreAll of the food we had here was amazing, easily the standout meals of our trip (both dinner and breakfast). Room was lovely and comfortable, and staff were extremely friendly and kind. Wed never have thought to stay here as its a bit outside Sligo, but were recommended it and are so glad we came. Well definitely stay, and eat here, again next time were in the area.
MoreWe discovered this beautiful little, boutique hotel recently and what a lovely find!! The room was beautifully decorated with wonderful attention to detail. The fragrance of voya oils and the music on the vintage radio greeted us when we entered. The decor was warm and unique with vintage and upcycled pieces. The restaurant was excellent and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast!! The staff were friendly and helpful returning a forgotten item by post with no fuss. We will definitely be returning!!
MoreI have to say this place was incredible from start to finish. We booked very last minute, and were welcomed in and shown to a fabulous room at the top floor of the hotel on its own. Lovely touches like the radio playing and a beautiful room with sofas and 2 TVs (one to watch in bed and one with the sofa areaand a little kitchenette area (just a sink coffee machine and kettle). The place is beautifully decorated and renovated. The bathroom had a lovely waterfall shower and bath with luxurious VOYA products (a fancy independent seaweed spa in Strand Hill nearby). It is quite rare to find such great little boutique hotels like this in remote locations in Ireland, but it was very stylish and cool. Not the cheapest but I would say reasonably priced at €99 for a double room.It was a Thursday in late September so not overly busy but the hotel was fully booked and dinner was quite lively although we didn’t eat there and got a Chinese takeaway from a local Chinese. The bar wasn’t jam packed but nice and busy with a cute vibe. The Driftwood is a perfect place to come for a relaxing stay with magnificent views over Rosses point.2 of the radiators in our room seemed to not quite work properly but the staff were very attentive and tried to help fix them a few times. They threw in a free breakfast (amazingand a couple of glasses of wine which we were more than happy to accept as it wasn’t too cold!We went sea swimming the next morning at the beach which was a ten minute walk away, and the hotel kindly provided us with fresh towels. All in all we had an amazing stay at The Driftwood, I really couldn’t fault the staff and their attentiveness as well as the gorgeous decor of the hotel and the stunning location! We stayed in the downstairs cafe/ bar the next day to work remotely and I had the most delicious seafood chowder. We can’t wait to come back again and visit! 10/10. Thank you to everyone at The Driftwood!
MoreThe food was good and interior is really beautiful. They have few different options on the menu, also wine and cocktails available. We didn’t reserve the table but waited outside and were call in around 30 minutes later when someone canceled (you can leave your phone number and will be called up laterstaff was extremely nice! Outdoor seating is available.
