The Dragon Bowl Chinese Restaurant - Chinese restaurant in Hobart, Australia
Great meal the food was amazing. The service was a little slow but as we were in no hurry it was all good
Enjoyed the Sweet & Sour Pork which had little to no fat, wasnt sickly and was well balanced with vegetables and pineapple.
Good Chinese cuisine.
Very good food, well priced and very helpful staff. Can highly recommend small and not over crowded. Cheers 😊
Food was basic 1980s blandness. Tge carpets were filthy, the windowsills covered in dead flies, the toilet was too ugly to use. Nothing cleaned for a long time.Dont bother.
Dont order food from this restaurant. I paid $17 for sweet and sour pork and what they gave me was pork fat coated in flour and dip fried. The food was disgusting and is not worth the price. Stay away!
Salt & pepper said too heavily battered , floor needed vacuum ingredients, could not recommend
Really delicious and good value. The serving staff were really excellent as well
Delicious food and very reasonably pricedNice feel to the place too
Excellent food, the sweet and sour chicken batter was light and crispy and the vegetable fried rice was fresh and delicious. Good value and friendly service.
We had Fried rices, fried dumpling, combination seafood and green bean with pork mince. Everything was great!
Mongolian lamb and satay chicken were both very tasty. Good service 😊
Nice~
Great food ordered the Mongolian beef,, Honey chicken, sweet and sour pork and chicken with black peeper and we were very happy with every dish
Authentic Chinese food which was delicious....and served fairly promptly.
Food was great. Located near CBD.
Perfectly cooked and just the right amount of flavourings, not drowned in sauces, rice was very good, only fault was banana fritter which banana was probably too under ripe. Staff were excellent.
They have very poor service. Ordered food for takeaway which took so long. Experience price for the quantity provided. And even food tastes like mixture of leftovers
Great Chinese place! We had the sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, fried rice and and stir fry veg and all were delicious! Very reasonably priced as well! Give it a try if your in Hobart
Best Chinese food in town. Ordered ginger and spring onion fish, cumin lamb, green bean with pork mince and vegetable fried rice. Each dish was tasty and well-seasoned. Friendly service. Nothing was left on the plates. Even my friend with a small appetite did well clearing plates. Highly recommended.
Very delicious, and offer cheaper options for lunch. Takes a little bit longer to cook than other places but well worth it
Cheap and cheerfulGood prices , nice food, prompt serviceV nice
Ordered a Sichuan Bean Curd (vegetarianand we got bean curd with hot chili paste which was bland. Not even a bit of spring onion in it. Chicken with stir fried vegetable just as bland with tons of onions to bulk it up, and beef was just as horrible. This restaurant must have a new cook (a chef is too good a title for him/her). The spring roll and dim sim entries tasted just like the frozen stuff you got from super market. Never ever go near that place in future. If there is a half star, this restaurant should get the title.
Best Chinese food, great service and very friendly would definitely go again and recommended to others
Good fast service and tasty food. Portions are quite a good size
Great food.. Great service.. Loved it.. Thanks for keeping it open on Christmas Day..
Beef was very raw, it was like fake meat made of starch. The staff did not allow us to use Entertainment card with ridiculous excuses. Won’t go again.
Been to this restaurant plenty of times especially for lunch has the cheapest and nicest food you can get, service is fast and friendly too would go here every day of the week quite honestly
Great food, great service and value for money. Would eat here again.
One of the best Chinese I had in a while : combination fried rice, malaysian noodles and pan fried dumplings to share... amazing !
Food ok. A bit disappointed the satay was not peanutty and advertised as 3 chilis , no spice at all. Service good
Good value Asian food. Great service.
Hot beef noodle tasted just good. The amount was not enough for the price.
Excellent meal very tasty and have been before and will be back again
Great meal. Fast and friendly service. Been back twice while holidaying in Hobart.
Food is very tasty. Service professional. Atmosphere lovely sweet
We went there coincidentally on a Wednesday, which has happy hours on 🍺 (till 7 pm), enjoyed a Japanese beer asahi and noodles with beans fried with minced pork, brilliant.
Only want to say the grilled fish is not worth its price of 50 bucks as it uses frozen fish and not tastes good while other cuisines are fine with their prices.
I am never disappointed with the vegetarian and vegan meals here, very tasty.
Pretty average Chinese food even in Tasmania standard, and they could use some fresher chopsticks.
Love this little gem. Not expensive and a GREAT range on the menu. Ive been back many times and everything Ive had has been good. No frills but enjoyed it every time. Ill be a regular here
Decent Chinese food. Can be somewhat busy at times. Vegetarian/vegan options available and very friendly staff.
Visiting hobart, googled and saw good ratings. Went over for a takeaway. Half way into the order another staff member joins in and tells us there is an hours wait and would we like to proceed now. Its a Saturday night, are the dine in customers actually waiting an hour for their food?or is it just takeaway customers. Either way, not what we expected looking at online ratings. Sad (Trump Impression).
Quick service for the lunch menu. Nice to have a bowl of corn soup included but the otherwise the meals have been nothing remarkable.
I enjoyed the food and service, but I think the prices are a bit high.
Excellent service! The food was out remarkably quick considering the large group that ordered right before us.
Disappointed dim sims not available 3 visits in a row.. remove it from the menu if youre not going to make them anymore
Beautiful fresh food. Plenty of flavour. Great service.
Brilliant food and service.Best I have had for a long time .Cant wait to get back there.Brett.
Ive been to Chinese restaurants in at least nine countries, and this is the first that doesnt serve tea as part of the meal. Service was prompt and the waiter was attentive, although the place was empty at 6pm on a Friday. The food came quickly and was piping hot. The chicken soup, spring rolls, noodles, and curry puff were average; nothing to write home about. The Black Fungus with Bok Choy and Szechuan eggplant were very flavourful with distinct textures, and the chili green beans were possibly the best Ive had. Prices are fairly high considering the portion size.
