The Delaunay in Kushmurun

My partner ordered rib eye medium rare which was well done.I ordered starter and requested without onions but still got salmon with onions. For main I ordered Smoked Haddock Kedgeree and also requested without onions and waiter told me that its possible but 30min later he came to me saying that he found out that its not possible so I had to change my order.

Cool but also elegant atmosphere. Retro decor with a German/Austrian vibe.The schnitzel was great and the apple strudel was perfectly baked. The service was very organized, waiters were friendly and helpful.The food was a bit expensive. I feel like I have had equally nice schnitzel for much lower prices. However, it was worth it because of all I have mentioned above.

Were walking by and found this lovely place and we decided to try. Wow. Ambiance is very neat inside and staff are professional. Food was amazing and you can taste the quality of their selected ingredient ls. Highly recommended

While I have now visited this restaurant on two separate occasions, I really should have pictures of the food they serve, or anything other than the bar picture I took while waiting to be seated.However, the experience upon being shown into the restaurant was merely so captivating and enchanting that I found myself struggling to even glance at my phone.From the high standard of service, selection of wine and alcohol there were no faults nor things to criticise in this establishment.

Elegant and traditional in the best way. We had cake and tea to begin but the atmosphere was so alluring we stayed on for big ceramic mugs of beer and schnitzel. The limited Austrian menu reveals excellent cooking and baking skills. I hear the fondue is marvellous - next time. This is a haven from the bustle of London, intimate yet friendly. As we sat for several hours over our two meals we chatted to the people on the table beside us, first an American in London searching the art galleries and then a punk with a full Mohican who comes regularly for the atmosphere. Who wouldnt?

Delicious food, the Schnitzel is amazing. Excellent service too, will be coming here again. Recommended for birthdays and anniversaries.

German brasserie style restaurant; impeccable service; great menu with delicious deserts and excellent wines. Wonderful clientèle, classy / relaxed. Always a treat.

We went to this restaurant for lunch, the food was great but we were left disappointed with the service. The man that served us wasn’t very friendly and the biggest problem was no one checked back so we couldn’t order another drink or order any other condiments. We were left sitting with our finished plates & glasses for ages and trying to get the bill took forever as all eye contact was avoided. This would have been five stars if the service had of been better and for the price I would of expected more.

Top notch service and food. A treat to have in London. The schnitzel was delicious! The Tarte Flambée with mixed leaf salad combo was great and well priced. Steak tartare was flavorful and better than many I’ve had in the area. Could skip the raw oysters next time. Look forward to coming back soon.Update: the food at the cafe side was lackluster. The schnitzel sandwich bun was charred black and the Octoberfest pretzel was dry and inedible. Atmosphere is a 5 but food 3.5. Revising overall down 1.

Hearty Central European food in an upscale setting. I had the chicken soup and chicken schnitzel with fries. Soup was warming and had some spätzle which bulked it out a bit. Schnitzel was well cooked although very large - struggled to finish it. Fairly pricy, but hardly surprising given the location.

Incredibly arrogant bar staff.I stopped by for an expresso prior to my London departure and wanted to take a photo of myself to mark the occasion.I was very abruptly told to not rest my camera against a plastic sauce bottle by a lanky disheveled looking waiter and then had this reiterated to me by a second waiter, telling me the plastic sauce bottle my iPhone was resting against was fragile. I was so disgusted I could not finish the expresso. Awful way to leave a wonderful city and otherwise perfectly friendly and warm culture.

Excellent staff and good food but i was expecting more flavor for the price to be honest. Still a wonderful experience. The deserts are the best part and totally worth it!

Great food and setting. The service seemed a bit overstretched so one person was doing a lot. This inevitably reduced service quality even though they were doing their best.

The Delaunay is a great place for breakfast while visiting London. Ive eaten breakfast here on 3-4 visits. Great vibe with dark, rich colors in the restaurant. Enjoy your food and people watch. Grab a newspaper and read up. You can convince yourself that your in 3 different centures -- 1800s, 1900s, or 2000s if you put your mind to it. Good food. And have you tried this 3 layered hot chocolate?!

Super choice of very fresh and authentic Austrian food. Great service and best schnitzel I have had in ages, along with a super chopped salad. Great effort

Lovely place, amazing food and profesional service. Happy to recommend (at least, for breakfast).

Nice atmosphere, good service and lovely cocktails, but I wasn’t blown away by the food. My Crab starter was the highlight, but the mackerel fillet was disappointing. It was cooked well but was all a little too bland. The beetroot gremolata had initially a good flavour with a kick of horseradish but there was just too much of it and was a quite slimy and sickly. The whole dish felt unbalanced.As coeliac, it was nice to be offered gluten free bread, but it would have been a nicer touch if the bread was homemade or better quality than sliced white toast.

Looks amazing, Great atmosphere....very welcoming, professional and friendly staff.The service was a little hit and miss for us as was the food. It was very busy when we came but found that we were waiting ages for our drinks, at times service....my crab mayonnaise starter was amazing.. my girlfriends prawn cocktail not so much.Cardinal sin....my steak was over done. Tasted Great but...not medium rare.Other half had the bass which was good...not great.Good selection of wines.Based on the above probably wouldnt choose to go back.

Please dont waste your money here, we got gifted this along with a theatre trip as part of the package, this restuarnt was included, we got there the first man to greet was absolutely lovely we thought oh this is a beautiful place, we were shown to our table, and it was shouted out that we were a Stephen cherry client then it was proceed to ordering our meal the person did not offer any additional sides (we would have happily paid for theses), so we ended up with chicken that was still red and on spinach nothing else, they could not wait to get us out of there it seemed so that they could have a PAYING customer, when in fact we had paid it was just in advance by the way of a gift voucher to the man on the desk as you walk in thankyou for treating us no different to all the others please release that just because its done as a package does not mean that people can not or will not pay for additional things poor service from what should have been a lovely start to the evening!

You really cant go wrong at The Delaunay. The service and food are great. Can get busy, so best to book in advance, although they do try and accommodate walk-ins as best they can in my experience.The veal schnitzel must be tried!

I have been going to The Delaunay’s for many years now and have never left disappointed.Introducing my family and friends this is always one of my favourite places to eat and drink when I return to London.Their ‘Beef Stroganoff’ is one of a kind which simply can not be missed! I always try to have something new on their menu and this time it was the ‘Pawn Cocktail’ which was delicious. Staff are welcoming, attentive and always consider every little detail Eg. ‘Congratulation’ homemade truffles for the end of the night. These were just epic!Please continue your success The Delaunay’s and I can not wait to be back again.

Service, attention and quality was 5*. Selection is great, wine list was vast with Eastern European wines.

We had a very indulgent breakfast here, with an Almond Croissant, Kedgeree, Eggs Florentine, Eggs Benedict and Eggs Arlington to start and then some Pancakes with Berry Compote to finish. We also had some coffee and a smoothie. Very tasty food in a refined atmosphere. Service was also attentive and helpful.

Service was awesome, staff were very friendly. The restaurant is stylish and has a refined atmosphere. The only reason I gave a 3 star rating is because I felt the menu was quite limited and I literally only found 1 dish in the mains that I wanted, I opted for seabass and it was delicious. For this reason I have to say I prefer the sister restaurant (The Wolseleyas it has more choices of dishes. This is subjective ofcourse and other people may not find the menu here too limited.

I was fortunate enough to be able to come here quite often about 5 years ago when I lived in London. It retains its wonderful ambience and great service however is living off past glories. The food was fine, for the most part, but significantly overpriced for what it was. The Black Forest gateau tasted of cream and nothing else. The last time I had something so lacking in flavour was when I contracted the ‘rona. The wine was pleasant enough but about double what it should have cost, even factoring in a restaurant markup. The kirsch tasted like every other kirsch I’ve ever had but I could have bought a bottle for the price of a small glass.Slash the price by about a third and it would have been a 4/5 review

A fabulous place, with private dining available. I thoroughly enjoyed the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had (I have had plenty of experience in this field!)Staff were friendly, food presented beautifully and the venue itself is stunning.

I am so glad I discovered this restaurant!!I loved it, it feels as if you were eating in Austria, Germany or Switzerland!!We ate at the terrace, but the restaurant inside is huge. The service is good and the location is very nice.I highly recommend it to everyone, to just try something a bit different in London. You will love it!!

European menu with French influence and classic bistro setting. Good food for any time of day and quite generous portions.

Our all-time favourite brunch place. The staff make it special, especially the wonderful Zusanna, who is truly the perfect floor manager. The foods also pretty amazing!

We went here after checking high reviews and also a friends reco, but it turned out to be a letdown.1. Food was not cooked well and didnt like the taste of fishes we ordered.2. Too overpriced for the quality and the quantity.3. Staff was also not looking eager to serve us well, even the water glass had to be asked to be filled up. Also could be more courteous overall for such a high priced place.

Was treated to a voucher at Xmas for this restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. Excellent food with attentive service. But not cheap

So I had a lovely breakfast here until it came to the end (read on)! I came for breakfast for my birthday and we ordered eggs Benedict and French toast. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the Hollandaise sauce was tasty (albeit a tad on the sharp side). The French toast was soft and well cooked although 1 and 1/2 slices of bread is a bit on the stingy side for £12. The food was great and the atmosphere and decor is both old school and elegant. The staff were lovely and friendly and service was great. When the bill came the waitress brought me two whisky truffles with a happy birthday message, which was a lovely gesture. Then they charged me £3 for the privilege!!!! My girlfriend must have said it was my birthday on the reservation but why offer someone a small, but kind, gesture then charge them for it when they didn’t ask for it. Shocking and so cheap I’d have second thoughts about going back. Can’t see them doing that at The Wolseley

The Delaunay, a sibbling of The Wolseley, is a time capsule into the European grand cafés tradition, with ample rooms, a formal atmosphere and impeccable service. I visited The Delaunay for breakfast and although better known for its schnitzels and wieners, the menu options were plenty. Prices are on the premium end, with a full English breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, black pudding, baked beans and mushroomcharged at £22.00, with a vegetarian variation for £17.75. The pancakes with bacon (£14.75), although slightly dry, were accompanied with some top quality maple syrup and crispy bacon. The front of house and table staff are efficient and friendly. Having visited before for lunch I would recommend going for the Prix Fixe menu, starting at £29.75 for two courses, which is available all day, featuring the Smoked Haddock Kedgeree and Sachertorte.

This review is about the The Delaunay Counter. My mother and I had a wonderful meal and coffee; friendly service, best hot dogs tried and definitively recommend the rum cake. We didnt like one of the mains but they were happy to provide an alternative - top service!

Sunday lunch with my friend before going to the Theatre. We booked The Delaunay as close by. Very busy restaurant. Very upmarket decor and atmosphere. Staff very professional but not I would say " friendly". Food very tasty. My friend loved the soup but found the duck a bit salty, I found my haddock kedgeree very nice. Overall I enjoyed the meal but I dont think I would go back, some of the menu dishes a bit overpriced, but I guess you pay for the place...

Had a wonderful long lunch here. Food was tasty and good portions. The Sachertote was divine.Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

The atmosphere was warm and elegant. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Decent wine selection. The duck is certainly recommended and the schnitzel was also quite tasty.

My family and I had our dinner here when we were travelling in London. Enjoyed the service and the ambience in the restaurant. We asked for recommendations for food and drinks which we enjoyed. Will certainly return when I am back in London again !

An ancient and luxury place for eating , we had a coffee ☕️ there at the restaurant. They used to had there own cafe in a separate place but not anymore after the pandemic and the shortage in staff.Their coffee taste good but no much variety of dessertsThey provide it with piece of dark chocolate 🍫

The food, service and portion sizes are great.This is the only place in London with a good coffe 🤩I am a picky eater and our waiter helped me make the dish perfect for me. I had the vegetarian breakfast.He was also very friendly and approachable. Thank you!

The food at the Delauney is always great and this time was even better, good quality and the portions are generous and very tasty, family also enjoyed it and four the flavours balanced and authentic.The breakfasts are also of a high quality and defiantly a good go to place for lunch if you want a quality meal. The food was all freshly made and the service was impeccable as always.Will go again :)

Very good European if slightly eclectic menu (schnitzel and kedgeree both excellent). Calm atmosphere for Sunday lunch with a number of families. The portions were a very good size which is always to be commended.

came here for breakfast with coworkers — the environment is very lively and elegant with a great selection of breakfast plates and beverages. i ordered the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, which was quite a huge portion and super delicious. you can select your choice of eggs and bread (i had sourdough toast). the earl grey loose leaf tea was lovely as well.

Spot great for pre-theatre dining, meeting friends, or romantic date-night. Great offerings including set-menus and veg options. This restaurant offers amazing service and food. We have managed to arrange a reservation 1 hour in advance and were greeted by welcoming staff.What we had on that day was: pea soup, duck confit, eggs Benedict and a strudel.Everything tasted amazing. I do warn those ordering the duck that it has a bit of herbal taste because of the spices they use but the meat absolutely melts in your mouth with perfectly crisp skin.The pea soup was delicious and really reminded us of home.Also I do recommend ordering the coffee since the presentation is amazing as well as the taste.

Im just crazy about Austrian beer. The plate is worth every bite. I do NOT eat much meat anymore - - here is the exception. My German server said they were made locally by two brothers. Music to my ears. Next time I will suggest a little Mozart, or even Beethoven. Why not? Great together with the exceptional Apple Strudel... Mmmm.
