The Deck in Spanish Town

The Deck is a staple in Kingston nightlife. Traditionally known for having a more mature crowd, it now has a mixed crowd along with some other cool perks. Apart from being located in the New Kingston area, it has a quite spacious layout which makes it cool for casual conversation without the table next to you hearing everything that you are saying. Theres a wings night on a Wednesdays where you get all you can eat wings for a reasonable flat entry fee. In the Carnival season there are lots of pop-up events that always prove to be a good time, with a DJ and dancing. The last event I attended was a birthday party for a friend and we had the best time. Like most bars, there is a bar menu with items such as wings and fries etc. If you want an easy-going space to have a few drinks in, this definitely is the one. Ive always liked the Deck and will continue to support it. Def a spot you can check out in Kingston.

One of the best places to go on a friday night and unwind if you are working in the corporate area of New Kingston or close by.Its definitely a place I would invite anyone to come and enjoy the food (bar areaand take the stress out on the dance floor.

This place is something else. I enjoy there. I have had good times there as well as bad times but the place is awesome. Customer service is great from the security in the parking lot to the waiters 😉😇😜🎉👍😎👏🔥💯👍

This was my first time being in such a setting with only old hits playing all night long and to my surprise, I actually liked it! Its not my type of music, but when I saw the energy there- people just dancing and expressing themselves so freely to clean music, I just had to let the vibe take me over. The place was crowded so it took a while for someone to take our order but when they finally did, they checked up on us continually to make sure we were ok. I definitely look forward to visiting again but if you plan to visit, make sure you bring a friend so it can be twice as fun!

The event I went to was a semi private one. The Ambience was good, they didnt have enough food to sell the patrons at 10pm that was a bit of a turn off. The music was very good.

It was just how I remembered it. Cool and relaxing and nice spot for just a sombre meeting. My waitress Sasha was phenomenal and was very courteous! The should give her a raise to be honest. #Impressed

Poor service as I had to 3 different servers if they could take my drink order. I. The 3rd time of asking the servers attitude was less than pleasant as she displayed very little patience in stating the menu. The was compound with her bringing my bear without a cover. I would have preferred my beer opened in front of me.

Was there for the wings all you can eat Wednesday. Its true they give you all you can eat. The wings are alright. Jerk being very spicey but nice. The chips and salt fish fritters are rather tasteless. Staff is friendly and they keep the place clean. Music is way too loud for any kind of conversation.

The Deck has been on the New Kingston entertainment landscape for decades, as the official spot for mature adults to let their hair down and have a good time. Not to mention that the food is great and theres always good music to boot.

It was pretty decent, the food and the entire ambiance was ok. The music selection could have been better but I guess they were catering for an older audience. The lightening was a bit off as well.

Never experienced a greeting like this. Could have been the veterans I was with, but all 5 stars for the service. Ice and lime kept flowing. Beer was well chilled. Soup of the day was a nice touch and tasty.

The Deck is a really chill spot for hanging out with friends or even with your boo. Staff are friendly and food is good for the price. Music and vibes are suitable for young professionals who are looking to relax after work as well as for the more mature guests who are just out to grab a drink and a few laughs. Took a friend of mine there recently and she loved it😊

The Deck was lovely. Ive been there about 3 times now over a number years and it has always been good. I only had a drink this time but food is usually good too, prices, music and ambiance excellent.

A place that remains on the lips of many. They will deliver soothing music with an ambiance that will make you have repeat visits with friends loved ones or if you choose just to relax. The Deck Welcomes you with Open Arms.

Clean outdoor atmosphere but poor customer service. I made reservation in way in advance and took a party of 21 individuals for a good night out. Only to have people from my party assisting with seating arrangement, pushing tables and chairs together, serving frozen orange juice from a gallon plastic bottle. walking back and forth asking for help with our long 1-2 hour meal wait time, while a female " supervisor" stand by and watch us struggling. One of our guest even had "touched jerk chicken And had to wait 50 minutes for a reserve." And the list goes on..... We were very dissappointed, and embarrassed while other patrons sat by watching us WORK. At the end, the bill came to over $400. US dollars. I called and made a complaint but that was a waste of time. Sad experience at the "DECK"

The wings was the only thing that was good about THe Deck. Service is lacking. The waitress looked tired, sleepy, stressed out and depressed. The food took forever to arrive. I had the alfredo chicken pasta and it was awful. Worst Ive ever had. The atmosphere was the only real attraction here.

The Deck is premium entertainment for your dollar. The music is clean, thr environment is filled with the euphoria of yesterdays. Food here isnt the best however its good eat and one you can enjoy with friends. I would revisit the Deck to chill with a few friends for dancing and listening to music while I have some laughs too.

It was okay, the crowd in the early part was mostly older demographic and as the night gets later the crowd gets younger. The service takes a while and one person got their food late at our table. The food tastes well and the drinks were good too.

Great atmosphere and experience. The waiters were amazing and friendly. Its an environment that hosts private events along with catering. It offers dancing on the floor as well. Prices were reasonable and the servings large and filling.

Big people music, nice vibes and the DJ almost draw me out like shoes lace. The food was good, the service could have been better, it seemed like they were short staff that night

Nice and affordable. The Attendants / Bar ladies were friendly and the music nice and low. Kool chill spot and perfect for casual work jamming. Tips: cute table lanterns to make it easier to read menus .

My first experience at this place was okay, differently from the security wanting my Id in an unfashionable manner and that one bartender taking forever with me and my best friend drinks. But that wasnt really a problem cause i was Dying to go dance. But other wise good food, definitely good music, and alot of friendly faces. I mostly go there on Fridays at 11 or 12.

Very nice relaxed after work or midweek get together spot with friends along with a near unbeatable all you can eat wings night and a decent Friday vibe. Some drawbacks is the entrance thats right in the main road and some of the lighting in some of the spaces but it gives you a place to enjoy yourself and you have space to dance

Good finger food but not a ton of options. Larger meals also an option (chicken dishes, curried goat, etc). Coldest beer in Kingston. Friendly staff. Dancing area. Large circular bar but lots of small tables that can be rearranged for different sized groups. Only one TV, so not your sports bar setting. They tend to play older reggae music so very popular with a more mature demographic. Ample parking on your average Friday.

Went there for wings Wednesday. After we paid we were basically just wondering in, nobody really greeted us or told us what to do exactly. That was somewhat annoying to me but minor. Otherwise the food was good and the music was perfect.

Food was great and the customer service was very nice however it doesnt have alot of lighting and the seats are abit uncomfortable.

Poor slow service bar manager is too full of his own self importance to serve customers. Not what it was. Such a shame.

For me first impressions last. I must say hands down it was a good experience. The food was inexpensive but full of flavor. I had the loaded fries and chicken wings. Also saw a poster about them having an All You Can Eat night every Wednesday between the hours of 6pm - 10pm. That for sure I wont miss. The environment was friendly, staff members were courteous and the music created the ultimate vibe that made us had to join the other patrons on the dance floor. Perfect chill spot for any group.

Rustic laid back environment for hanging with friends. We had appetizers and drinks. Fish was really good! Wings were dry. Fritters... Well we still looking for the salt fish...staff was friendly!

A sure hot spot for the more mature crowd. If youre under 40 (and not looking for any sugar, you may feel a bit out of place here). Had a plate of their wings and it was good, not to mention the stamp and go.

Great place for food, drinks and music. My favourite are the fried wings and stamp and go. Prices are reasonable. Vibe is an older crowd

If youre a lover of the 70s, 80s and 90s music then The Deck is definitely the place for you! A nice mature crowd that knows how to have a good time. Good vibes, good food, good music. 😁

It is ok.The front bar area feels a bit upscale and they have Disk Jockeys which always seem to do a great job.However, the other areas feel low level. That is, bad lighting and cheap plastic seats. If u remove the front bar area, I would give it 2 stars.

I absolutely love The Deck. Decent people and music. Safe and friendly. Now rowdy crowds or lewd music. Nice place to hang out with friends and just have a good time. Eat, drink, dance and chat. Set sailing!!

The best "nice and decent" place to be after 6pm!! I love the Deck!! The music, the vibes, the food, the type of patrons....just right! It is the place where friends meet☺ Tonight was Zodiac night and the Capricorns were celebrated. Excelsior High School Class of 80 past students were in the place. We had an enjoyable night.

I went to The Deck with friends on a Wednesday night for their all you can wings and fries. It was almost 10pm when we made it and was told that theres no more wings and the special also ends at 10pm which we were not told when inquiring about the special on a previous phone call with a member of staff. Since we were already there we decided to stay and have something else. We had a seat in their very casual setting (white plastic chair casualand were given menus. The menu was mostly snacks to be honest, nothing that you would want to spend money on, not even rice was on the menu. The place is very causal, I would not recommend to persons under the age of 35/40. Its more of a hang out spot for persons of age. We just left and went to Triple Century where there is actual food on the menu.

I went to The Deck on a Monday with a group of friends to celebrate a friends birthday and the service was very, very poor. Altogether, it was 11 of us ranging between 25 and 31 years old. After being seated, it took a very long to time to be served after our orders were taken and no one came to say anything to us regarding the delay. When we finally got our orders, the food was cold all around...even the fried wings and french fries! The best thing on the menu was the loaded fries, which was just okay. The jerk chicken was dry and trashy and the wings were just salty. Someone even found salt-fish bone in one of their chicken wings!! Seriously!!!? Makes me wonder if the same batter used to make the fritters was used for the wings. SMH!The drinks were okay, though. It looks as though the person serving us was unable to attend to so many people. In fact, I only saw two waiters working the entire joint. I suppose its not an ideal place to dine but just for older folks to hang and drink as they seemed to be getting better service than us. Or perhaps the Deck is simply just not prepared for "dine-ins" during the week.

This is a place for nightlife in the city. It caters to groups wanting to have a place to celebrate with dancing. A DJ can be on duty for dance music to popular genres from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The food is popular local fare and there are at least two bars. The decor is basic but with the lighting and great sound system and people coming with their own vibes, this is a place to enjoy the company of friends, dine and dance until late into the night.

The Deck is great place to chill with your friends especially on a Friday evening after work. Great food, great cocktails and great customer service. The DJ plays a great selection of contemporary as well as throwback music which enhances guest experience.

The open area setup is very refreshing. Good music and good food on a Wednesday night. Seating can be a bit cramped, but it has a cosy feeling so it wont be a very huge hindrance

Service is slow and poor..food was like home cooking as there wasnt anything spectacular about it... lighting was bad n no reception yo greet you when u just enter .... the bar was the best part of it really..

The vibe was lovely went there on a Saturday night, the ambiance was ok, the customer service was good, food good, there was a live dj and he was good. I wish they had proper lighting at a sign saying the Deck so I could say hey I was here lol, but it was a good experience. If you want to have event like a birthday I would recommend there. Prices were actually quite good as well

My friend and I had a great time here. We sat at the bar the whole time. Which was in the centre. as soon as we approached the bar we were greeted by the bartender and waitress. They gave us the menu and allowed us sufficient time to choose. The music was not too loud but right. There jerk chicken was tasty with the festival....yummy! I thought some parts were a bit too dark, but I guess it was so to kind of give people a bit of privacy depending on where you choose to chill out.

Great music on a Thursday night with DJ Archie. The wings were fantastic. Great drink prices and an older more mature crowd. We had such a good time.

First off the I went here to just relax and chill with my girl friends, it was okay the vibe not bad they prolly need to change that DJ but okay. We got a waitress immediately and she took our orders. 50 MINUTES LATER we got our food. I did not get what I asked for as she told me that they did not have any more steak sandwiches and will have to order something else so I decided on the ham sandwich.We got to digging cause at this time we were very hungry. -__- the food was AWFUL, COLD and TASTELESS. My friend who was lucky to get the last of the steak sandwich and she said that it did not taste fresh. My sandwich was very dry, the bread was stale it had absolutely no taste. I could have made a sandwich with no meat and cheese and just mayonnaise and it would have been awesome. The loaded fries was cold, I was expecting to see loaded but IDK what that was. There was only a few pieces of meat that I am sure did not pass ten also I wondered if there was cheese on the fries.Long and short of my experience was that I left there feeling very sick and disappointed in this place. We could have literally walked out of the place without paying because we called the waitress countless amount of times for the bill and when we got it, it the orders were all a mess.DO NOT GO HERE AND EAT. EAT FROM HOME OR WHEREVER AND JUST COME FOR A DRINK.
