The Daily Growler - German Village/Brewery District in Columbus

I expected in-house brews. My bad. But kudos to the selection and most importantly the server. I had a very positive experience and sometimes you just want a good experience and a good beer. My server remembered my name, filled the glass to the full pint level, and helped find the right beers for my taste. I probably should have sat at the bar and further engaged, it likely would have been enlightening. Only here for the week, but I will return.

Easily one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had in Columbus! The staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating too.... I wish I could give them 10 stars instead of five.

We had a bridal shower on the top floor and it was fantastic! Personal bartender, great space, and awesome location. It was a perfect space to celebrate!

More beers than you need, take home taps, too. Cool upstairs bar and patio as well as outdoor tables. BYO food is cool with them.

No food just a great selection of different beers for in house or to go in growlers. Nice place to drop off a sinificant other while you go to the Book Loft.

If you want to try some new beer then go here. The menu is always rotating so something new to try everytime.

Best craft beer and patio in the Brewery District. Dog friendly too. Must stop for beers in the neighborhood.

Stopped in for a St. Paddys drink. First timer. We were made to feel as though we were a burden on the staff. He was not friendly or helpful.

They still ONLY fit their own growlers. Prices are high as well. Waste of time.

Cool spot to try out a wide varieties of beer, cider and seltzers. Was impressed with the selection but wish it was more lively.

Very rude staff. Did not speak to me when I reached counter - had to address him before he acknowledged me. Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone. I will let people know to go to German Village rather than stop there. AWFUL SERVICE

Love the DG crew. Justin and Kenny are always knowledgeable, kind, and fun. Great selection and the best people.Did have a bad experience recently where we had to leave due to an inconsiderate wedding party upstairs that apparently were under the impression they reserved the entire place and could just be self-absorbed and disregard all other patrons but that’s not the fault of the establishment.This place is a local treasure!

Scott Fox’s review is very heavily biased. We are frequent visitors to this location and literally left that evening due to how obnoxious this wedding party was.

Just went to a wedding rehearsal and encountered perhaps the rudest, angriest employee at a bar/restaurant I have ever met - and it was the manager. At least 6 other people had same experience - tried hard to ruin the evening for what is supposed to be a happy event. Will never be back and plan to call the owner - something I never do but they need to hear how this employee treats customers - really embarrassing.

We used the upstairs space for a bridal shower and it was perfect! Working with Delores to book was so easy and the space is beautiful. Our bartender Liam was so nice and helpful. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking to host an event.

Great event room for my daughters bridal shower. Kenny is an excellent bartender as well!! Would highly recommend this place!!!

My first experience here was not bad. A wide selection of beers, and the bartender was very helpful. My second visit was not the same. The bartender was extremely rude, short with answers to questions, and not helpful. I was very disappointed with the unnecessary rudeness.

Always a great beer selection. Super laid back bartenders. Nice little secluded patio in the back on the 2nd floor is perfect for a few quiet beers too.

We frequent the DG on a weekly basis. The owners are awesome, and the bartenders are great. Family friendly, with a great atmosphere. Best place to grab a beer in the Village.

Horrible service. Very dirty. Mediocre beer selection. The bathrooms smell like stale urine and havent been cleaned in ages. If you sit inside be prepared to defend your drink against numerous different species of flies. Bring a fly swatter and bug spray because you will need it. Very dirty. They do not clean the tables in between guests; prior to covid-19 I would say this is disgusting but in a post covid world is inexcusable. The service is absolutely horrible. The people that work here are rude and inconsiderate. Dailly growler, youre disgusting and a shame to the Columbus community.

Great beer selection. I am also currently impressed by how theyve implemented social distancing practices to help keep their employees and their customers safe during this ongoing pandemic.

Steve was wonderful, very helpful and knowledgabe. They sell Growlers Dog Bone for your k9 too.

Great beer options at a fairly affordable price. Supplying a bright spot in our current environment by allowing me to have draft options at home. Oh, and dont forget.... $1 off carry out growlers during happy hour!

Had a private event here and the location was so great to work with. Had the upstairs to ourselves and it worked out very well. However they need an ice maker up stairs. Bartender had to keep disappearing to go downstairs to get Ice.

Found parking, found some nice beers, and was kind of in and out! I liked it. Maybe some other time I will sit and just chill there, but today a drink there and a growler to go was Perfect! Thanks

Its a good place. We went in for a tasting, and it was enjoyable. The bartender was knowledgeable, and they had a good selection. Whats tricky is when the upstairs was reserved for a party, like tonight. Its tough to find seating om a Friday night when that happens. But, a good place overall.

The Daily Growler GV is an excellent location for any event. The upstairs space is adequete and reasonably priced. I hosted a masquerade party there and it turned out amazing! Delores is very easy to work with, she was always available to answer any questions I had throughout the process and planning. I will rent and recommend the space for any event! The bartenders are excellent also. Thanks for helping me make my event a success!

Our daughters bridal shower was here. Great brews! Parking could be better but hey its downtown what can you expect?

Went in for a quick look while the wife was next door getting us dinner at Panera. Seems like a real gem! What a great selection of beer with reasonable prices. Counter service was great and samples were offered. Would gladly go back when in town again.

Tonight was a great experience. Ive been here a few times before, and the staff are always friendly and pretty knowledgeable about their selection. Tonight, in a discussion with one of the bar tenders, she suggested a mix of two of the beers, and it was a fantastic suggestion. Thanks for being a great place to have an experience!

Bar is great. Drinkers FYI!!!! DO NOT EAT AT BIG MAMAS BURRITOS.Easily the worst burrito I have ever had. Dollar store ingredients and terrible service to boot.How did they find cheese that is worse than stadium cheese? The chips came from the $1 bag at Aldis. The rice, well if you can call it that has no flavor.This place is a disgrace and shouldnt be open. Id rather eat a toquido off of the 7-11 grill then this trash.

Absolutely loved this place. Great selection, reasonable prices, top-notch service. Not sure what more you could ask for. Oh, Wi-Fi? Yup. Knowledgeable staff? Yes. Free feminine products? Mmhm, there are tampons and pads available for customers. I spent hours here just relaxing with a couple beers - such a great environment. Wish I lived closer by; Id stop by all the time for growler fills and a couple pints with friends.

We love this place. Casual atmosphere. Plenty of seating upstairs. Wide selection of beer. Food is available (enormous and good burritos). Excellent outdoor area with fire pit. On-street parking and a lot in back. A short walk from the CBUS stop at High & Frankfort.

Hygeine products available in the womens restroom. What a great place! Oh, and the beer is really good too. Star wars pinball machine upstairs.

Great tap room and upstairs bar. Happy hour from 4-7. Very large selection. Nice bartenders whenever Im here.

My favorite tap room of all time. Their happy hour is half off all drafts from 4p to 7p. They let you taste before you purchase and have around 60 different flavors to choose from. They also have an upstairs rental hall that are great for events. If you like beer, you will undoubtedly love this place. Fair warning, it is a tap room so no kitchen, however, they do have food trucks visit regularly; mainly on the weekends.

Nice tap list and a nice location. Cozy place to hang out, be sure to check out the upstairs. Of all the DG locations, this one definitely has the most character and still has the same great tap list. Tap list has a nice selection, heavy on Ohio breweries.

Fairly large selection of beer but not the most curated the city has to offer. Its typically several local IPAs. But thats craft beer nowadays, isnt it?This Growler location is more of a sit and hang out location than the older two. There are tables, as well as additional space upstairs and outside. Big Mamas Burritos operates a small kitchen.

The Good: Solid selection of draft beers that you cant always get. The daily growler of the day.The Bad: Prices are a little steep for regular growlers.The Ugly: They will not fill up growlers from any location.

The Daily Growler is one of my favorite places to sit and have a beer. This location is very cool and fun to visit. If youre a craft beer fan, this is a place you should visit.

Fun place to visit for a drink. The staff is great and its a perfect spot to meet up with friends. The food trucks on the weekends provide some great variety. Its a little pricy compared to some of the other growler filling options in Columbus.

Newest of the locations. We went on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet, but service was awesome and the beer was as varied as ever. Love the variety of taps and the long happy hour every day if the week. Wish I could get to any of the locations more often.

Visited on a Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find Hoof Hearted on tap along with an ample selection of Ohio beers. Cozy environs and even cozier patrons. A memorable and recommended stop for beer fanatics.
