Had a late lunch with the sister and thoroughly enjoyed it!! The wings I ordered got spicier as I ate then and I ended up with a doggy bag...Emeara was fantastic except for her choice of beer... Really, ¿¡una cervesa mexicana en Irlanda!? She was saved by her manager who poured me a Treaty City Invasion IPA... DELICIOUS!I guess I need to qualify "whatever you choose" next time! 😁😇

Lovely food and staff. Pricey for "bar food" but overall a good place for nice food.

Very very very good mussels. Though small in size but cooked extremely well. Portion was HUGE. The calamari was well done but breaded batter was not exactly our favourite but nonetheless it was good. Fish was super soft inside and crispy outside.

Not enough time in the world to get enough of this place. The hospitality is always amazing and we love them for that.

If I could give no stars I would. We came to this restaurant BC of glowing recommendations. Our waitress seemed to change into a bad mood immediately upon seating myself and my partner. Took our order (2 Guiness, a starter and an entree). Dropped off our drinks 20min later and effed right off. She never came to check on us even though we could see her look our way and seat and check on other customers.WE ASKED to move over one table BC of rain, no one cared to check that we were getting wet. It took over an hour and still no one checked on us, until my partner made eye contact with a different waiter. Finally only our entree showed up, and the host or head waiter made the sad excuse that there were several mishaps and sorry for the delay and that it was BC we moved seats (again over one table only). To make up he comped us A DRINK. Seriously Ive never felt more like I didnt belong at restaurant, with the lack of eye contact and not speaking to me, just my Caucasian partner. No way in hell would I come back to a place that made me feel like I wasnt worth their time or like a human being.

I went in lunch time. Had the scampi taco and it was amazing!! Their non alcoholic cocktail was really good.

Lovely food. Had a wonderful dinner there. We had soup for starter, the classic chicken wings, fried squids, steak, and a hamburger and chips for the child. These are super freshly made and absolutely delicious! The service was great! Strongly recommend!

Great food, decent beer and top quality service. We arrived as the place opened last Saturday - got a table in the outside area, really friendly and efficient staff.

The location is very beautiful, prefer outdoor sitting if weather is nice.Food delivery was a little slow but maybe that’s because I ordered lamb. Service was okay, place was not super crowded during lunch time.I had prawn tacos, soup and lamb. Would probably go again if in Limerick. Can be very good for a date if weather is ripe for outdoor sitting.

Amazing spot! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere inside! The food here is extremely delicious. I highly recommend getting the wings. Enormous portion that will definitely leave you beyond satisfied! Great prices as well. Pairs greatly with a pint! Only problem is parking might be difficult.

Love the view, and even though they were out of muscles(not their faultthe food we had was pretty awesome, our server was willing to ask questions to the person cooking to assure our friend with specific dietary restrictions that her food would be not only consumable, but tasty as well. Mad props for tolerating the brats we had in tow as well

We were in Ireland for 10 days for the Ultimate World Championships which resulted in a lot of hungry evenings exploring new restaurants. The Curragower was definitely in the top 3 for our favorite stops. They had mostly standard Irish Restauraunt/Pub fare, but with a gastropub/foodie take on many of the items. The location is right in front of the water and inside is cozy and full of character. Service was good and very friendly.The food was excellent and prices mostly reasonable. We were definitely done with the nonstop bar food and this mostly satisfied our desire for something different.

Sat there with my wife for 20 minutes and no one came to our table.Waiters passing right next to our table wouldnt look at us or ask if we needed something.Another couple arrived and was immediately greeted, offered suggestions and the whole thing by the same waitress who pretended not to see us.We left disappointed because we used to love this restaurant. We didnt even get to see the menu.

A lovely location right by the river with a great view of the castle. Food is lovely; the usual gastropub type offerings that are well cooked and generously portioned.The staff are friendly and quick with service.

Beautiful terrace on the river overlooking King Johns Castle. The best spot in town. Especially on a sunny summer day like today! Stopped in for a 3 course staycation lunch and drinks. Could have stayed all day! We got the best seat in the place. Service was on point. Food very impressive. Cold drinks! 😜 Perfect summers day visit to the city!

Sometimes you dream of a menu that has all your favourite food. This place came pretty close. Cauliflower wings, goats cheese risotto balls and fish tacos. Holy moly, good eating. Next time we will get the steak box. Good friendly service too.

I ordered 3 course and asked for desert menu they said no problem when I got my starter I was half way through it and they gave me my main which was stupid because it would be cold by the time Im finished my stater plus we all need a breather, after that I asked for my desert they said its closed for deserts so then they changed their mind and order deserts for us, and forgot mine? and then asked for the cocktail menu they gave me the menu and said there all gone and said u can have a choice of two other drinks I asked the waiter about the two other drinks his English was brutal the ambience wasnt good and its a shame because food was 7 out of 10 and outside view and music was nice, wont be coming back as I felt I didnt get my money worth at €165 due to service, Marco polo and freddys Restaurants are way better over all.

One of my favorite lunch spots in Limerick. The view of the river Shannon and the castle while sitting outside on a nice day cannot be beat. They pour an excellent pint of Guinness and have very tasty food. I’d highly recommend the fish and chips!

Only got to sit in the front of the bar as the rest of the bar was set for food after the match. Enjoyed the time there. Nice whiskey selection here too. Didnt eat but the plates that came out looked amazing.

Wow! What food, what Guinness! And a lovely view of the Shannon river. Service very polite and just the right amount of attentiveness. I had the steak platter, beautifully cooked and presented. I was a guest, my Limerick family have this as their "go to" place for special occasions and entertaining visitors. Go visit, enjoy, thank me later.

Sunday stroll with old and young, some younger members enjoying seats with a view. Question asked what would you like? Before you ask from the food menu ?!mussels, chowder, 🍔, calamari and sides that was only the under 12s and they all approved of their choices. Best of luck in 2022

What an amazing place. The staff are incredible .. more than helpful and just lovely. The food is an experience.. incredible.. so tasty and big portions. The ambiance, atmosphere, view, location is just perfect. Will definitely be going back ❤

Gorgeous selection of tasty seafood all served with wonderfully friendly and efficient service. Dessert with Baileys and salt caramel ice cream was icing on the cake 👌💕

15 euro per meal overpriced in my opinion. Only reasonable thing was the chips they were lukewarm and the can wasnt in the bag after I saying it so Id to go back again To get the can of sprite. I sat on picnic bench across the road garlic sauce was nice but chips not that great. If I wanted to change it Id have to cross a busy road so I left it.

Love this place. They always try something new! The newest latest additions are the corndogs & cheesedogs! Milkshakes are good but could be a bit thicker. Also do some gooood chips, ohhh and also good churros!! And some delicious cocktails!

This place has a amzing view in front of the Johns Castle and the river. The food ia amazing, we ate a mild wings, chips and a salad with a nice price. We had a nice experience there.

Wonderful pub right across from the River Shannon. Its cozy and comfortable with good service and great food. Sorry, the pictures taken arent great quality, but the food was high quality and delicious. I only got to drink and eat here once but I will certainly be back again when Im in the area. Perhaps a good excuse to visit the area, altogether. ;-)

Having my jog around the city several times i always saw this pub with good crowd. Was curious and decided to have a visit. Good ambience and surprisingly the chicken and waffles was delicious was hesitant at first because of weird combination but a thumbs up! Must try in their menu.

This place does a of seafood options, and while the food seems good its not cheap. Also definitely not a place to go for vegetarians, 1 starter and 1 main are vegetarian. We ordered the soup and a seafood chowder. The food was good, nothing special but good. We had to wait for a while to get served, even though the guy who took our order wasnt busy. Should be more attentive

Book now! It is worth flying to Limerick just for this pubs food. The building is a tardis of labyrinthian passages leading to ever more places to dine so dont be put off if the first room is packed. In summer the garden has a lovely view of the castle and river. The drinks are delivered prompt, the staff lovely and energetic and they serve the BEST CHICKEN WINGS IN THE WORLD! Having just been blown away with the Venison rack (perfectly chargrilled to medium rareI thought I was done when a friend offered a spare chicken wing. Ive eaten many of these around the world and I have NEVER eaten anything so delicious....to my shame (on a full stomachI polished off another 10. Spicy, sour, sweet, perfectly cooked. I had to ask for the recipe I was so impressed. Really, REALLY GOOD!
