The Curragh Irish Pub & Bistro in Nairobi

We are from our of town. This was a great find. Such a cozy place with a few great nooks with tables. Decor is really cool even though the violin tailpiece is glued on backwards 🤣. There are great beers on tap. Mozzarella sticks were homemade! We had Chicago deep dish from Giordanos Pizza from next door. Fantastic. Service was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend this place!

Food was good. Bartender was slow and horrible. Not even busy. Would look at you and your empty glass and just keep walking. Ask for new drinks and takes 15 mins to get served

Very slow service. The bartender got very upset when I asked him to get my waitress so I could ask for another diet coke. I asked for an appetizer that would be ready quickly. She recommended the "chips". It took her 10 minutes to bring me a basket of tortilla chips (the kind that you get in Mexican restaurants for freeand they charged me $4.00 for them.

I was dissatisfied with the Shepherds Pie. Very little meat. Basically mashed potatoes and a little gravy.

My daughter-in-law had just flown in from Denver for some meetings this evening. We picked Curraghs online at random and had a very satisfying lunch. They successfully catered to some special dietary requests. We definitely think we picked the right option

I was in after the fest tonight, bartender was beyond rude and wasted. Never coming back again.

Good food, great atmosphere and we LOVED the comedy night! The brisket sandwich special was fantastic! Service is outstanding, they truly care about their customers.

Great to visit the Curragh again, we miss your Skokie location which is so close to us. My wife enjoyed your cheeseburger which is always a favorite of hers and I enjoyed your Irish stew both were very good as always, the black and tan onion rings started things off, which were off the hook, service, atmosphere and vibe are what keeps us coming back to the Curragh. we even visited your Holland location a while back during a Michigan vacation, great consistent job guys...☘️🍻

Very nice atmosphere and our server was delightful. Chicken Romano and Cobb Salad were both excellent. Highly recommend!

Good atmosphere... had a work party there.. good food too.Outside had a new girl.. for service.. the young lady was a superstar... she was on the ball and attentive.

I went for the Mothers Day brunch. It was not as good as prior years particularly the sslads and desserts. The lamb was very good and I do have to say that the wait staff was excellent.

Curry fries were amazing!! Irish stew and bangers and mash were outstanding! We will be back!!

Im used to NY style pizza I expected some weird pie but I found deliciousness decedent in every way. Great service friendly

See the parking sign about a block away, had to park in the metra lot for $2 <good for 12 hours>This establishment is set up so weird. The restaurant has a bar, restaurant, and giordanos all in the same spot. The servers serve all 3.The food was not all that. Im not sure if the grease was old or what, but my kids did not eat their food and the pizza was not as good as it usually is.I did not like this arrangment made no sense, but whatever. The place was not that hard to find, but lacks parking.The parking was scarse. There was literally no spots had to walk 3 blocks. Make sure to lock your doors if you are parking at the metra lot.

Friendly, attentive staff. Good beer selection. Good Reuben. Reuben rolls appetizer wasn’t much to write home about.

Very friendly staff, went here cause I was ordering pizza from Giordanos and they are connected all throughout the building. Everything was fairly good, would recommend going here if other Giordanos are lacking in staff or whatever that might stop u from eating elsewhere. Didnt really order any beer but its probably at least decent-good if the service is any indication of how they do. They also have plenty of tvs to watch any sports event that might be on.

Order a couple burgers for take out. They were great. Served with steak fries, my favorite. Had a Dewars and water while I waited. Didnt want to leave.

We had the fish and chips and a paddy melt…delicious! Great beer selection too! We will definitely be back!

Went there for Edison Park restaurant week. The server had no idea that it was restaurant week. The cheese soup didnt have any cheese. The salad and dressing had a peculiar taste. It was a strange experience. Would not reccomend or go back.

This place was weirdly dead on a Saturday; however, the beer was cold, the food was on point, the facility was clean, and the service was friendly and FAST! This may be a hidden gem. I will defintely will be going back. Dont forget to try the mozzarella sticks!

Decked out to look like a genuine Irish Pub. Food leans that way. Fish & Chips was great. Great Reuben. Didnt stray too far from the traditional Irish favorites. Good choices of beer. Generally pretty empty at lunch. Close to train; can fill up around dinner and service can get slow as a result.

There was live music and, just my opinion, the place is a bit small for live music. I had to yell to be heard across a small table. They were also super busy so we saw our server maybe every 10 minutes. But, the food was great and the atmosphere on a less crowded noisy night Im sure is fantastic.

We have been here before and food off the menu is good. The buffet they had for mothers day was awful. My kids felt bad about that being my mothers day brunch. The bus boys were great but our waitress was probably the most inexperienced one Ive encountered and no personality. I can usually deal with that if theyre nice or have a personality. She was like a robot - malfunctioned. Our waitress kept spilling stuff, dropping utensils, and forgetting stuff. She could barely hold a tray of water.

Worst service I experienced on any vacation I’ve been on. They are under staffed and the waiters only pay attention to the floor. Served food with no plates or silverware. Waitress had a attitude because I had to ask others to be attended to. And when they finally brought us silverware she brought 9 wrapped silverware’s for a table of 4 idk if it was the sarcasm or attitude that made me have to go out of my way to write this 1 start reviewWould never recommend or return to this establishment!!!

I always enjoy going to the Curragh. Its got a great cozy pub vibe and you can sit at the bar, tables, or in the back by the fireplace. They have clean bathrooms which is important too, of course.They have great bands for live music. Every band Ive seen here has been wonderful. Everything from Irish folk music, classic rock, pop hits, etc. The staff are all friendly and the food is great.Ive also gone here a few times to celebrate New Years Eve. On NYE, they give you a little glass of champagne on the house, as well as an assortment of paper or plastic hats, crowns, beads, etc to put on so you can look festive.Definitely recommend!

First, the service was amazing. I dont remember our waitress name but she was absolutely lovely, attentive and had a great sense of humor.My friends and I stopped in for drinks but stayed for food.The drinks were perfectly made. I recommend the "Isle of Misfits" to any and all!We all decided to order an appetizer. I got the shrimp wrapped in bacon. Loved!I wasnt planning on eating a ton of food but the Chicken Curry sounded filling and I was not disappointed. It was a huge portion and delicious.We will return!Great atmosphere, great service, great food/drinks

Loved it. We had a after funeral party here. The staff were extremely attentive and the best Ive had in a long time. The violin and guitar player were the perfect touch. The fire was warm and welcoming. Thank for taking such great care of our family. Great variety of foods. All tasted well.

My husband and I came for lunch while on a trip to Chicago! Great food and wonderful atmosphere! Felt like we were in Ireland!

It was good. I had the Shepards Pie and it was tasty. It came with soda bread that had mold on it. While it was replaced I didnt have the appetite for it. The vegetable melody was steamed and kind of flavorless.The night we went it was 4.50 for a pint of Guinness and that was pretty good

Friendly pub with an adventurous menu. In the middle of Edison Park, among Italian, French, Mexican and seafood restaurants is a culinary gem not to be missed. I’ve dined in Ireland and this restaurant exceeded my memories of those restaurants. We were served by Agnes who was very attentive and professional. She helped with great suggestions from the menu that is true to Ireland but with some exciting culinary options. Highly recommended!

Strong drinks with good flavor profile, and food was absolutely delicious! Ordered shrimp sliders, bangers and mash, and corned beef with cabbage. A little loud inside, but a fun and lively environment. Docked a star only because service could have been faster, although our server was friendly as was the rest of the wait staff we encountered. Would certainly recommend and return!

There for a wedding shower. Place was cute, drinks were decent and brunch was delicious!! I ate ALL the carbs!!

Good Irish food....I loved their corned beef and cabbage boxty. The portion was quite generous, tasty, mmm. Service is adequate and pricing reasonable. I have been several times on a friday or Saturday when there was live music. Its not so loud as to be overwhelming. Theres street parking but it can get difficult to find a spot. All in all a good experience each time I went.

Such a cozy spot for a winter dinner. I had been to their little breakfast diner next door but somehow never the restaurant/bar. The food looked great though we didnt eat. Really extensive beer selection on tap, maybe the best Ive seen in Edison park. They were out of a few things because theyve been so busy during the holidays but staff was really good about it.

I am so in love with this pub. Staff are super friendly and full of spunk. Beer samples were amazing. Food even better. Atmosphere was quiet and inviting. Will definitely be going there again!

SUMMARY: This is a must go if your looking for a simple fun night out and want to enjoy some Irish food and a Guinness!The food and atmosphere are fantastic! I forgot to take a picture of my meal before I ate it, because its that good! So I am posting the photo after I was done eating the Bangers and Mash, if it wasnt frowned upon I would have licked the bowl clean lol. This place is great the food is excellent, good Guinness, great staff that is always so nice and cheerful. Apparently every Wednesday they have Trivia, only just found that out. I have had the Bangers and Mash and the spinich and artichoke dip, and my wife had the fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly, the food a lone made me feel like I was back in Ireland. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star is because it can get loud inside and makes general conversation tough.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at any restaurant, pub, or bar. The waitress was amazingly sweet and even recommended free local stuff to do for the night. We had some of the best beer ever from their tap and ate some of the juiciest burger and steak that topped even the steak houses back home. I would say if you are in the area you HAVE to stop by here for a bite or a beer you won’t leave hungry or disappointed!

Love the atmosphere of this place! Very cozy feel, the staff was awesome. Bartender forgot about my Guinness (honestly wasnt even too badbut he bought me and my friend the next round to make up for it, what customer service!Didnt even eat there but just the feel of the place was awesome and staff very nice.

Our server was one of the best Ive seen. She was able to deliver drink orders to a room full of people who never stood still. She was pleasant and smiling the whole time. Her assisants were there to fill the gaps too. Tables were cleared promptly. The food was very good too. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the room was too little and too loud. But..that means we have alot of friends who talk loud:not much can be done about that.
