The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience in Leek

We went to the crystal maze on the 5th November. The crystal maze was good fun and our 1880s maze master was really fantastic. The set design was brilliant and the games were good fun.However, I feel like we had a bit of an unusually unorganised experience and quite a few frustrations happened which we were really disappointed with as we had all saved up for a while to come and it impacted our game success.Firstly, we showed up nice an early as they stress this is very important. We were then let in a bit late so overall we were hanging around in the lobby for 50 minutes which was a bit of a shame but not the end of the world.One of the first games we went into hadnt been reset so we wasted loads of time before our games master told us about a secret panel to reset the game and on completion there wasnt a crystal there so she had to give us one she had in her pocket.Another game, one of the support team walked into the room whilst one of our team was in there which totally threw him off and we thought he had done something wrong so in the end we had to get him to run out as we ran out of time.Another physical room had a random crystal on the floor so instead of focusing on the game we thought our player had to try and get the crystal and find a way back. After a minute the game master let us know that wasnt supposed to be there but by then it was way to late to complete the game so he got locked in.Another game involved a counter going up depending on how many mistakes you had made and half way through the counter just randomly reset so there was no jeopardy in the game, we just finished it and got the crystal.We did have fun but for the expense we were disappointed that a quarter of the games we played had some kind of issue that took us out of the experience.

Absolutely loved our experience on Sunday! Was a bit nervous going as we knew we would have to team up with others as we was only two people. But the other team players were very friendly. The staff there broke the ice between us and made it fun. Hats off to the staff. They really play their part. Full of energy and Cordelia (hope I spelt her name rightreally got into character well and made the experience even better.Was quite nervous at first as wasn’t sure what to expect but it really a-MAZE-d me. Loved the fact we couldn’t take our phones around. It’s 2022 and we always have to take pictures on our phones and sometimes lose the focus on what we are doing. Made some great memories and the picture bundle wasn’t too bad, especially when you get all the digital copies. This place is clean and looked after well, loved all the different areas such as the slide, sand and tunnels.We are definitely coming back soon, recommended it to so many people.Thank you to all the staff for making this experience the best experience.

We did this today with a group of 8 and were celebrating a 12 year old birthday and a 50 year old birthday. The games and the completeness of the experience were fantastic. But the best part was the host, who despite our limited abilities, made us all feel invincible. He looked after everybody and supported everybody including guiding the younger members of the team. We would massively recommend it to anybody and will definitely do it again.

The experience itself was really good, well run with friendly staff (Iggy was excellentand some great games, however charging £40 (£20 each in our caseto access your digital photos at the end is a total rip off. Really left a bit of a sour taste.

Easily one of the best days out weve ever had as a family. It is pricey, but definitely worth it. Its a realistic recreation of the TV show, including exuberant host to bring it all to life (we had Edmund, who was fantastic). Sets were authentic, with loads of attention to detail, and the games were loads of fun. Hard recommend!

Absolutely loved our time here yesterday. I loved how the man who took us around played his part in making it special. Rooms for all ages (over9 yearsand staff helped advise which rooms would be good for the younger ones in our group. Well organised and fun! Didn’t want it to end. Thankyou

A-mazing!!!I would HIGHLY recommend the crystal maze experience!4 of us went and joined another group of 3.From start to finish it was brilliant! Our host (Pamwas superb and kept in character all the way around making us laugh and guiding us around!It was just like the TV show running from zone to zone whilst the music played.All the games are fun even if youre not taking part you can watch and help!The team got to do 15 games which was enough and I think it was great value for money!Will definitely be returning to do the other games we missed!

Absolutely fantastic experience, would definitely recommend!This was as close to the TV show as you could get without Richard, Ed or Richard being there themselves...Having said that, Edmond the Maze Master was a 5 star stand in and really made the experience for us! Theatrics, advice and entertainment were absolutely on point from him throughout - thank you for looking after us!We went as a family of 5 with kids ranging from 12 to 23 and it was absolutely perfect for us.

Great welcome as we entered, went through the usual waiver stuff, we where a family of 8 from 10 year olds - mid 40s , team happily tried to accommodate some of our ability needs, please note at one point you need to crawl through a large tube to a slide, my knees are still in agony lol, however there is a VIP route if thats not your cup of tea!!Actual set up is extremely impressive and very authentic to the original, and the maze music hits you in the nostalgia feels!! Our host was great, played the part really well and elevated the experiencePhotos are taken throughout and we got them as it was the whole family, not sure if they would be as appealing if you had mixed teams / strangers etcSome minor things to considerOur youngest children struggled a bit, mainly with some of the tasks needing to be a bit stronger, so keep that in mind, maybe suggest hosts describe it as a family friendly physical (kid friendly)or just a physical (adult suggestedso we could make better decisions for who takes part in the gamesValue for money, like a few have mentioned before , its not a cheap day out, and though you are interacting all the way through, you may only get 4 minutes of actual game time ( 16 games in total, in a party of 8 equates to 2 games each which may only be 2 minutes in length eachplus we only got 4 crystals which is 20 seconds in the dome, so in total my physical game time was 4 minutes and 20 seconds- which you dont think about at the time as you are genuinely having fun, its only when youre on the way home you realise this!So its a great hour or 2 having fun, staff and venue brilliant, what would make it better maybe is smaller teams giving more game time to individuals, however Im assuming from a business perspective its not cost effectiveEnjoy , good day out, but not worth full price entry for reasons stated above, thankfully we got a great deal on picnic

Fab time here. We went as a two and were put into a group of 7 over all. All staff were lovely which made the day even better. Would definitely recommend. Didnt Want it to end!

Booked the corporate package for a Works Team Build. Split into 5 Teams,each team assigned a Maze host. Both venue and staff were absolutely amazing - highly recommend!

Great experience, went for my bro in laws birthday. Honestly felt like being on the game show with the atmosphere, games and setting. No Richard Obrien, but our host April Avocado was brilliant, certainly added to the experience. Soo much better than escape rooms.

Fab experience here. The host was a bit OTT, but in the spirit of the show.The sets and games were just like the original series and had various levels of difficulty (although you cant choose the level).Definately something to do as a group (up to 8as it was a great laugh and entertaining rivalry.A couple of NCP car parks are available within 10 minute walk.

Such a great activity. Just like the show: a great variety of challenges, arranged in four immersive zones, complete with creative transitions to run through. Our Maze Master, Ignatius (Iggy), brought the energy from minute one until the Crystal Dome and made sure everything ran smoothly. Couldnt recommend more.

We went on a Saturday morning as a group of 8 for a hen do and had a really great time. It is pricey but our host (Steampunk Poetwas great and the right mix of funny, helpful and a bit insulting!

What a great experience, our group had an amazing time. All of the staff were fab, but our game master Danger Mouse was an absolute star (not many people could pull off that outfit so well). We couldnt have had a better first visit.

Amazing experience, plenty of activities to keep everyone engaged and our host, Trevor (he would want me to emphasize that he is still trapped in the Domekept the energy levels up with a performance unique, but reminiscent of Richard OBrien.All in all a good day out.

Went on a corporate event here and it was brilliant. Having watched the show when I was younger, the experience very much loved up to expectation. It felt like I could imagine the real thing being, the zones, challenges and atmosphere was spot on and the hosts were brilliant. We had the Wizard as our maze master and he was excellent - full of character, had us laughing all the time and really made the morning top notch.If you are able to go here, Id 100% recommend it - Ill be looking to go back with family and friends soon!

Such a great event, and the more you go with the flow, the more fun you will have. I didnt like the TV show, but in real life there is an amazing buzz. We had a great host, (Laszlowhich helps make the experience so good. Is recommend it for adults and teens.

Great fun, especially those who were a fan of the TV show. We had a large group of 8 so we only got to do 2 tasks each, so maybe consider a smaller group to get more tasks per person. Being in the dome at the end with the tickets flying around was super exciting and felt abit surreal. Tasks are fun and challenging. Photos at the end are expensive so unless its a really special occasion, probably not worth it. You do however get a digital copy, which is a nice touch.

Brilliant experience, we had 4 big groups and they handled it all with ease. In particular our maze guide ‘Anytime Thursday’ really made it enjoyable throughout.

We went for a work Team day out and we absolutely loved it. Our age group varied from 18-30s.There was 8 of us which made a perfect number for 1 team.

Experience was great, the set theming is super immersive and the game master style is unique (shout-out Ned and helpers). Mini games are fun and the team dynamic is great, works even when paired with strangers. We had gift vouchers for this so our experience was 5* but Ive shaved one off because if you were to pay the pricing is steep for the experience. I totally get the investment that must have gone into the venue initially but compared to how good escape rooms are nowadays (where every player can be involved every minute rather than just during their 2-3 mini gamesthe value for money isnt comparable.

Good fun playing this with friends. Our guide was great too and helped with various hints to the puzzles along the way. I dont think id go anytime soon again unless the games change from time to time to keep them varied.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Went with a mixed group of adults and kids 9-14 we all had a brilliant time the games were well thought out and the maze master Pamela was great! Would visit again

Its been on our bucket list to be on the crystal maze since my husband and I were kids. To be able to do it as a family group if amazing. Our host sian and maze master avocado were brilliant really kept the excitement going and made you feel like you were in the original show. There was something for everyone. our group was aged10 to 65 and we all had a fabulous time. Would recommend to anyone who loves the show our enjoys puzzles, quizzes and board games.

Mixed review.Good- game master Dynamo was brilliant, really put a good show on. And the games were fun and engagingBad - got there early and well in time for our 16.00 slot but a team that was booked for 16.30 got in before us . We ended up going in at 16.55. Very unimpressed. No apologies given even when we raised it. (It was raised prior to the other team going in)Also very hot and no refreshments on the way round. Consider bottle filling stations maybe crystal maze?

It is a really fun experience to do and the guys running it are amazing. Big shout out to Ned who took care of us.The pricing is a bit high for what you get as in keeping with the game you do 2 maybe 3 challenges each over the time so about 9 min of fun! (You also get to yell at your teammates which has some appeal).Production value is high and faithful to the TV show.

Visited a few weeks ago as a family of 13 and we split off into two teams asa competitive race. The activities and challenges were very fun and required thinking like a brain teaser. The hour and 15mins flew by and everyone in our team participated and contributed to the puzzles which offered variety. Specials thanks to Ned and Simon who were our hosts and made the experience enjoyable and exciting and were the brilliant hosts. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to have a fun challenges with friends or family. 10/10. 5 out of 5 stars.

Best day out I have had in ages. Totaly took you into the crystal maze exactly like it was on the TV. The games where lots of fun even when you wernt playing. Cheering on the team and being the best host was our maze master flo. The backstage crew where also amazing giving us water and making sure all the games where set up. I couldnt recommended this more!

Attended the crystal maze experience this week for my daughters 12th birthday, the whole family is a huge fan of the iconic show. Our maze master, felicity, was absolutely brilliant! Can’t thank her and all the team enough for giving us a great day out. The whole place is so well put together and the games and crystal dome was so much fun. Would highly recommend! Please can you stock more merch/online shop? Would’ve loved to have got a tshirt for the birthday girl as memorabilia.

We went as a group for my 21st Birthday and got partnered with Racer as the Maze Master... such an amazing experience! the puzzles were really good and the zones were really well done out and immersive. Racer was so energetic and enthusiastic the entire time and made the experience that bit more enjoyable! We managed to collect 10 crystals and had such a great time

Booked this as a surprise for my sons 10 th birthday. Visiting from Glagow from start to finish was amazing. Hottest day of the year sweaty mess by the end but what an experience. 2hrs went by in a flash having so much fun.Thanks so much to James with too many names to remember games master Haha. Stayed in character the whole time and such a comedian great with my son. To all the staff behind the scenes and at reception for making us so welcome xx would definitely go it all again x

Went with 7 other mates as part of a birthday celebration. It did not disappoint! Our maze master was excellent, sorry I cant recall his name, captain or major someone...anyway, he was great fun and quickly got used to our groups banter and really made the visit. Unlike other novelty attractions I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. Couldnt have been better. Well maybe they could give you some free photo access or a crystal if you get over a certain amount of credits, just to add some spice to the day

Visited as a group of 4 adults and 4 teens. Amazing experience from beginning to end. Couldnt of wished for a better host "Danny Diamond" really made the experience that extra bit special. Highly recommend and thanks Danny for a fun afternoon.

Amazing experience. Friendly staff. Glyn, Jess and Racer were fantastic. Really interactive and just like the TV show. Lasted about 1.5 hours. Already excited to go back. Only downside is paying for the photos at the end which are quite expensive this could defo be added into the package considering its almost £50 per person.

Visited beginning of July and it was a great experience. There were 3 of us and we thankfully grouped with a lovely bunch of people to make our 8. Major Lee was brilliant. Highly recommended. High quality setting so feels very realistic. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly.

This was so much fun! Very nostalgic with lots of 90s running. The staff are lovely, big thanks to Trevor who guided us around the maze, sorry to hear you lost your parents but it was good for us haha. We smashed it of course but most importantly we had a great time and I laughed so much my cheeks were hurting by the end of the day!

We all had so much fun!! It was so well organised and the Maze Master PAMELA BLOOM what a little superstar she is. It really would not have been the same with out her. So much fun and energy throughout the whole time we was in there. Thanks so much Pamela we will back lets hope we have you again!!!

The whole experience was amazing! Our host Pamela Bloom was fabulous. Sets are top notch and the games are great. It really has the feel of being in the TV games. The only things I would say could use some improvements were bathroom facilities and get a gift/ merch shop - we wouldve spent loads of money on t-shirts, bags, badges and all sorts.

Such a fantastic experience!!! We were a group of 40 on a corporate event and we had an absolute blast! We used the events space also to do some team presentations and awards before dividing into teams of 7 and going around the maze.The whole team commented what a fab time they had - there was definitely something for everyone. On the day the hosts for each team (essentially actors playing their role to take you around the mazereally make the experience - theyre absolutely fantastic.I cant praise Helena and the team enough and thank them for all of their hard work to organise and sort the event for us.Helena for all of the pre planning was absolutely fantastic - from my initial phone call with her through to the planning of every detail.And Adam on the day for helping me with my equipment failure and being a lifesaver to get us up and running.If youre thinking of planning a corporate event (or just going as a groupI highly recommend it. Would love to try the London based one next!!Thanks again!

Slightly slow to get going (around 20 minutes after the end of our booked arrival slot), but otherwise really good fun. The sets are well done and theres a good variety of challenges. Despite it being very busy in the reception, once in the maze we didnt see another group.

Have to be honest apprehensive about this as an activity, but throughly surprised at how much we enjoyed it and really pleased we did it. Staff were very energetic and encouraging and did everything possible to ensure you get the most out of the experience. If you fancy an experience offering various tasks and challenges then then this is for you, you wont be disappointed.

Just finished visiting with a group for my cousins stag do. Isaac playing Edmund was absolutely brilliant guiding us through, incredibly adaptable to the needs of the group and wonderfully charismatic! Brilliant experience that I cannot recommend enough

The lady who was the gamemaster was brilliant 5/5 for her staying in character and being awesome. Games were good definitely a 4/5 despite some being better than others. Reason it got a 3 rather than 4 is the crystal ball at the end. Seriously no idea how someone can get over 2000 tickets in that.... Because they were in peices. They need replacing. Photo taken was also poor...two of us were half in the photo... they could have asked us to move over so we were all in it properly. Otherwise is was a fun experience. Not sure about going again, once youve been tho!!

It was the best time. What a way to spend your Sunday afternoon? Just like the real thing. Great company, including the staff. Falicity Fossil made the whole experience more exciting. Thanks crystal maze Manchester for putting on the best adventure for a family to enjoy all together in one place. Grown ups playing games and chanting like kids. Fantastic. Loved it.😄👍
