86 Great Titchfield St, Fitzrovia, London W1W 6SD, Hong Kong
Classic pub with fashionable design wallpaper, chandelier and a mosaic around the foot of the bar.
Great spotIs it 18 and over?
We go to this bar for events that are held there. Its a pretty fun place with unusual options for bar food. The staff are good and the drinks are solid
Not my crowd but the food is good. They have security bouncers so youll be safe. Karaoke on Tuesday was great. Many young people but you really feel welcome
I love the menu item tofu nachos. Being a vegetarian its so spicy and delicious and most of the menu is meat based. Its a typically Korean inspired menu. Closed on most Sundays and on Mondays they also have a full bar and local live music inside most evenings especially Fridays and Saturdays and theres a dance floor. The restaurant doesnt open until between 4 and 430 and its difficult to get then on the phone to place an order but if you stop by the food never takes too long to make and they do offer a few dining tables to eat in or get food prepared to take home aka to go. Its unfortunate that they use to answer the phone to take orders and stopped perhaps due to being short staffed but the food is worth between 5 to 15 minute wait while they make it once you get there and order in person. The door I must say is rather heavy and gets stuck easily so dont be discouraged...if its after 430 and between Tuesday and Saturday, its open...pull harder. Also Im not sure when the kitchen closes but Id imagine probably at either midnight or 130am or 2am as thats what time I believe the bar closes and the live music stops. Its also conveniently located and only a block north of north Ave along Charles street. Its between north and 20th streets along Charles which is a northbound road. St Paul runs north/south and being one block east of Charles, traffic runs southbound and parallel to Charles street. I hope youll stop by and check out The Crown for their tofu nachos, which are $15 and thats the total for one carry out order after tax. They also have shrimp shumi which is a steamed dumpling with shrimp inside it and comes with an aisan dipping sauce...and fried shrimp terriakki, but these are not vegetarian, as I mentioned the only true vegetarian and likely vegan dish is the tofu nachos...although the spicy dressing they drizzle on the nachos might contain egg ingredients...but its likely possible to ask for this on the side.. when it comes to leftovers the next day, the dressing does tend to cause the nachos chips to lose their crispness although theyre still good and quite tasty. Ive never discarded a single bite. One of my very favorite neighborhood meals. And I go by Pamela, the waiters and cooks are familiar with my order and recognize me when I arrive. Im sure if you mention my name when you order theyll know who it was that recommended this establishment to you for dinner, and not just a weekend bar amd music venue.
I dont leave Google reviews, but this is the best food I’ve ever had.
Fun hidden gem. Looks closed outside, but fun once inside.
Uhhh... 4 weak drinks, 1 shot, and 2 tacos = $100.01??? At a hole in the wall karaoke bar?!I used to really love coming here, but now I cant afford to 🤷🏾♀️ Pretty certain theyre pouring 1oz as opposed to the standard 2 for their cocktails. There were folks taking breaks to drink at their car... smart. BYOB is your best bet. Harbor East prices in a Dundalk establishment SMH
The best place to go out in Baltimore. Always a fun time dancing. I love the various drink specials too every night; they are always fun
Had a fun time here late on a Saturday night. Neat atmosphere, good house music DJ, cool vibes and cool people, and a huge dance floor. Theres a restaurant downstairs and a bar upstairs next to the dance floor.
Good environment, good food. Definitely be smart walking around outside though lol.
Amazing place to hangout with friends. And some nights might find a karaoke 🎤 for a bit more entertainment. Drinks are good . And food is good. I like it . 👌🏻
Awesome great spot get the k fries and bibimbap. Cool shows too
The food is really good!
YAY KARAOKE ON TUESDAY NIGHTS! A really friendly small crowd with a cute karaoke setup. The bartender was nice. A lot of fun and felt like I made some new friends!
The door people / security are hard workers. They do have to yell a lot but if people didnt act like kids they wouldnt have to. This place is so nice the people that come in there its a mix of Baltimore you can find John Hopkins students also people from the city themselves you have rap events bands play and comedy shows they have great Korean food the bulgogi is really good! Please try it out just once!
They got Korean BBQ down below head in on a Tuesday night and give em a show. The Vegas Bombs will have you kickin and singin like your crown got smashed into c-ment. I recommend, bring a friend unless you wanna end up using clean-x to fix your mess.
COVID restrictions are keeping the dance floors from opening-- yet I still find myself daydreaming of The Crowns awesome shows (particularly Version and its incredible hosts, music, and fans). My heart yearns to be in its upper floors again! Other than that, Im grateful they carefully reopened the restaurant and bar for to-go items. I always see the people in the kitchen and bar wearing their masks properly and service is quick. Try the to-go cocktails theyre really cute! (((Please, everyone reading this take COVID seriously so The Crown can reopen full swing!)))
You should try their food items. Order through Postmates or Doordash. I miss their Saturday night entertainment which defines the arts and entertainment district of mid North Ave. Hopefully back soon.
Every dish Ive ordered there has been excellent. I love the chill vibe. Its a great place to go for food and drinks with friends.
Local eat sip and talk -- great food music venue up stairs tlntd djs and crowd
Great crowd and an amazing place to meet new people. The blue and red rooms always have something fun going on. Its a fun place for a night out, and Tuesday karaoke nights are the best!
This was an interesting hole-in-the-wall spot. You would never think it was a club or restaurant until you stepped in the actual location.Upstairs is the club. The music was kind of techno / go-go music which wasnt bad. The night life is pretty much filled with 20 to 30 something year olds and the LGBTA community. But it was great. The drinks are super cheap most drinks will cost you $5. A nice little Hideaway spot with art/graffiti on the bathroom walls.
Amazing place to catch a show or grab a bite to eat. Super diverse music. Not the best for parking though so be ready for a little walk if its busy.
What a great place! Super fun karaoke night and the food downstairs was fab (plus the nice ladies downstairs charged my phone! Which was super duper awesome). Def coming back
Good place to dance and see live music. Karaoke feels a little judgemental but its still fun. Drinks are affordable and staff is kind.
This spot sticks in my head for a few days every time I go. I wish I lived closer so I could become a regular. There is something amazing about the down to earth vibe with good staff. And the Korean restaurant has some amazing food too. Edit: I would be remiss if I didnt mention the events and the unique local music you will literally only find there on such a regular basis!
Whoa. This place is unique! Grungy, hipster dance hall/lounge with Korean food, solid mixed drinks and beer!? Dirty with graffiti all over every square inch of the place, yet somehow I never felt "skeeved". Downstairs has the food, a bar, and billiards. Upstairs had a big "red room" with a DJ playing a mix of hip-hop from across decades; standing room with some stools at the bar. The "blue room" upstairs felt more like a lounge with music curated accordingly, more seating, and another bar. Quite a bit venue that wasnt very busy until about midnight, which was when the place got packed with people. Great place to go with a group of friends.
Super dope and extraordinary nightlife activity! Never seen such positivity and talent here!
The crown is one of the funnest music venues in Baltimore city. On any given Friday night you can expect the unexpected. The normal crowd is eclectic and very friendly, the music artists that perform here range in genre from rap to punk rock to house music, oh and did I mention...There is a korean restaurant on the 1st flr!
I really loved the upstairs area at night with the music. The atmosphere was inviting and upbeat. The bars themselves did not seem air conditioned and were extremely hot since there were so many people. Downstairs in the food area, a man who worked there yelled at us to leave although the establishment was not yet closed. I was genuinely verbally berated by this man while sitting at a table. He slammed chairs and argued with customers until everyone left. The food was delicious, but hard to eat while being yelled at. It definitely left a sour feeling to a great evening.
Cool place. Two different rooms to dance in with different vibes. There was a cool crowd there and the bar has a great selection of beers and liquor. The prices arent too bad either.
This place is great. Some pure shenanigans in Baltimore, its like 2 clubs and a bar at once. Definitely a little sketchy, but where in Baltimore isnt. A bit of random sort of people, but great place
This is a really fun place to dance in Baltimore. Two rooms. And an Asian fusion eatery. They serve food late. There is always something going on with different vibes, parties and DJs in the two rooms. Depending on the party sometimes theres a cover, but more oftentimes there is not. Not a classy or pretentious place - grungy, eclectic, raw, local best describe this venue. A hang out for the local fine arts college and creative community of the city.
Have come plenty of times to dance and have enjoyed events with wonderful people from the surrounding communities. Most recently I got sushi at the attached restaurant. It was pleasant and a good end to my evening.
Excellent selection of Asian-inspired dishes with a good pub vibe. Of particular mention are the Korean burritos, which are savoury morcels to say the least. Good service and decent drink options make this a delightful hang-out, and if you like the louder options, theres the dance floor and cocktail bar upstairs.
Security are kinda rude but everything else is fun. Bartenders may forget your drink order if you order more than one drink but they are nice about it. Shows are always a good time.
Its New Years Eve. It was epic. More importantly everyone got home safe. It was one of those nights. You want Baltimore, come to the Crown. It was the city you were proud of growing up in. Its also the future you want to see in it. It was love.
Its a very cool space. Good food downstairs. Like any place its all about the crowd that night and the music. Im a house party kinda guy(didnt plan on stayingbut I had fun.
If you want to dance and let your hair down without the pressure of dressing up and going to a heteronormative club, this is the place for you. Great music, diverse crowd, awesome people, always a fun experience.
The Crown Baltimore is a great event venue for whatever party you want to throw. Its pretty spacious, they have pretty good food and drink choices. The only thing is that the security takes their job rather seriously… so seriously, protocol goes above the planned event specifications (agreed scheduling and certain logistics.)
Ive only been to the karaoke dance hall side, which played out more like a hip NYC club. If you want to sing karaoke in front of an audience of hundreds, meet some new people in the way that people are met in a dance club, and dont feel comfortable in age groups from 21-27, give this a try. The bathroom was fine when I got there, but by the time I left some neanderthal had ripped the faucet free and it was dripping water all over the place, but the bouncer did stop me from reading the signs on the doors to find the mens room, because he felt that got me too close to the ladies room door, and I appreciate that kind of guidance in a place where idiots are destroying sinks. The person in charge of the bar on the karaoke side was nice, friendly, and treated me well as I asked questions. The DJ was very good, being open to talk between songs and quick to stop people from damaging our hearing by making smashing noises with the mic. Id go back.
My go to night spot. Always a good time and there is always a great diversity with attendees. Positive and safe environment, the staff have a zero tolerance policy for any behavior that may put anyone in danger. If you’re in the city be sure to stop by!
One of my favorite places in Baltimore. Always stellar dance music, good people and drinks. The outside looks like a total PoS. Just a heads up.
This bar is located on top of a Korean restaurant in a rather bad part of Baltimore. The vibe is definitely fitting for some people who are into the alternative scene, but a few things stood out to me as questionable. Notably the bathrooms were disgusting. Obviously bars will be bars but this place really makes you not want to touch anything. The bands that play here are usually pretty bad if your idea of music isnt "experimental jazz". All that being said Im still giving this 3 stars because I realize they are catering to a certain demographic that I do not fit into so it definitely works for some people.
Great place, a go to for many people. People look out for each other here, queer friendly. There are some off nights with the music/dj but its a blast 90% of the time
I havent eaten here but Ive spent time at the bar and dance floors upstairs. You have two rooms. The first is the red room which has windows and bright lighting. They played a bunch of mainstream music that your mom would listen to in a futile attempt to show you that shes cool. But theres a dark room where they play a ton of good music. They played house music and the DJ was spinning with actual vinyl records! I havent seen that in years! The drinks are reasonably priced so its become my go to place. I just avoid the red room like the plague because of the music. But the owners have to cater to a mainstream crowd so Im grateful they have a separate room for people like me who would rather listen to something different, something new. For that I love this place. Its not for you if youre used to nice clubs.
ILOVETHECROWN!!!!!!! This place is amazing the only cool club in Baltimore! There is a mix of live performance and an actual dance club always having amazing events. I even went to a burlesque show here!
Great little kareoke bar. I enjoyed some decent sake. As a side note, they dont serve hard liquor. But its a cozy place to hang out with your friends.
I usually go here for the monthly Blush + Brews events. Its usually good music and dancing. Good drink specials if youre into that. I like the restaurant as well for their pot stickers.
Great food and great bands. Laid back due to couches and atmosphere. This is the perfect spot for all the great bands like Natural Velvet,Malatese,Curse, and every other local band.
