High St, Horningsea, Cambridge CB25 9JG, Forster
Warm restaurant in an 18th-century coaching inn, offering relaxed rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Traditional pub in a great location near to Covent Garden. Perfect for a beer with friends.
Ciara and Jasmine were amazing Jasmine is amazzing i love her so much , the pub is excellent, everything you need to have an authentic British experience, perfect for travelers and locals as well 10/10
Excellent beers & atmosphere :)
Pleasant enough pub in Seven Dials, popped in around 5,30 ish on a Friday after theatre and before dining. Outside drinking available and room inside. Disappointing that no Draft Beers available (except Cider). Would recommend and will return (after delivery of Beer)
Small, nice barkeeper, lovley.
Impressive, traditional pub with charming tiled exterior. Sociable venue in the centre of Seven Dials. If you are coming to London on a short trip, come here to experience traditional ales in an iconic, pub that has been here since the 19th century.
Excellent location and great to see a lot of the original interior decoration and feel.
Cool little English pub. Beer is a little expensive but then again, not so bad for an area that sees a lot of tourism. And the bar tender was nice, despite having to put up with a couple of loud American military dudes (that was us).
Nice Peaple. Got a good Time here. Loveley Place
Its a good place to have beer in London, they have seating available but its too limited so you can have it outside. You can find people standing outside the crown and having beer and giggling with each other. This place is open till 11pm. The price of their beer is somewhere around £6 for a glass.
Crowded and busy but managed to get a seat by the window. Typical English pub.
Visited this pub on a busy dayWhat can I say staff - ProfesionalSelection of beer - amazingAnd the manager omg just fantasticThank youSee you next time
I had a great pint of Neck Oil, but the experience left less to be desired. They told us kids werent welcome - which is fine - but as soon as one of them came to speak to me - outside - the barmaid was obnoxious beyond words and then refused to serve us. My son setting foot on the premises for 5 seconds resulted on the worst customer service Ive ever had. Get a grip. A 16 year old setting foot on your premises isnt going to lose you your licence. Perspective is everything.** Update following response from The Crown **Clearly the person who responded missed the point of what I was I trying to say in my review. For the record, I completely understood that kids were not allowed and I am in the wrong for allowing a child of mine to set foot on the premises when I had been told they are not welcome. The child in question - a 16 year old - had been happy to go and look round Covent Garden before he returned. What I complaining about is the rudeness and obnoxiousness that I experienced as a result. A polite "please can you ask your son to leave" would have sufficed. The behaviour of the staff member in question was simply not warranted. As for the idea of visiting again - well, if I can experience customer service like that at The Crown I will politely decline the invitation thank you.
Good atmosphere, great selection of gins. The Violet Spritz is my new favourite summer cocktail 😻
Great selection of beers and top service with a smile. Well worth a visit
Service 1/10 not worthy of staying - the bar is part of Dusk app but was not willing to compromise or offer promotion - if this is the approach towards their customers - I will not recommend visiting this place as there are many great bars in close distance. Two bartenders did not even seem interested to have extra customers. Day visited: 7/3/2022
Small and pleasant pub with good staff
Nice pub however very small and quite cramped. Bar staff were nice and friendly and there was a good selection of beers, wine and spirits
Nice friendly atmosphere, great for quick drink before show at Cambridge Theatre as just next door .
PIe-eyed and weary, this was a really fantastic pub to enjoy several drinks with my dear friend LAnce. The best pre-theatre location, and friendly staff too!
It is a very good places with nice beers and excellent a service. Raven and Finley were very helpful
What an amazing place. Top quality beers, a bit pricey but that’s what you get in Covent Garden or Soho! Will definitely be coming back, Raven and Fin were the best!
In a beautiful location in the heart of London - its called Seven Dials - is this charming pub. You cant eat there, but you can get many delicious drinks at competitive prices. The service is also very pleasant: Lieke and Logan were very busy this Saturday, but still found time to put every guest at ease. A visit to the pub is therefore highly recommended.
On our trip to London we were at a very special pub in Covent Garden. Affordable prices and a great service. They know extraordinary much about their served drinks. Thanks for all the great suggestions Lieke! We will come again.
We went there to have a drink (cider and lagerwhile waiting for a seat at a nearby restaurant and it was perfect.
One of my favorite places in the middle of Seven Dials. Love the service, even on a busy Saturday Lieke and Logan had enough time for a nice little chat whilst pouring a delicious drink.
Lovely pub and reasonably priced drinks considering the location. A pint of Aspalls went down very well indeed. Nice friendly bar staff who noticed me saying I was cold pointed us to seats by the radiator. A nice touch 👌
Nice, friendly pub. Great spot for watching the world go by...
All the doors were wide open and it was absolutely freezing inside. It appears that there had been an accident as when we arrived some glass was being swept up. The lady cleaning it up unfortunately was not in a very cheerful mood.
Very cool, warm and welcoming traditional London pub, set in the heart of Seven Dials. Fantastic, we had a lovely few drinks here.
First time in London an this pub Was just a blast. The stuff was so friendly and they have Lots of beers on tap. Kenna Was the best , Quick, Kind and professional. Totally would recommend it
A fascinating bar that appears to be quintessentially English in nature. Its on a roundabout in the Covent garden market district and serves good beer with a spill over of people into the Courtyard and sidewalk. Good beer but sold out in most taps.
This place is OK. Probably decent for families but I wasnt particularly wowed. Everything was edible tho and a reasonable price for central London.
Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere! You can tell a lot of care has gone into this pub, even the tea light candle holders are crown shaped 👑
Okay so the only reason this place gets 5 stars is the delightful friendly service from the bar staff. The lady who served was from D.C and it was the friendliest service Ive ever experienced in a central London pub. I was there for an hour and heard her be just as superbly friendly to everyone. Never have I ever felt like a local in my own capital city before I was welcomed by a woman from Washington.
Small but friendly pub with lovely polite staff, good prices and great atmosphere. Has some outside tables off footpath down one side of pub. Returned here several times.
Two stars simply for the beer I had. But the bar man who served us was far to familiar with us to be honest!
Wowie. Jasmine and Daniel. Unmatched in the art of bar tending. Our King and Queen of booze; providing a better time than a family bbq at the Windsor’s.
This pub can get very very busy, in a great location, staff seem to be great, had a good laugh with them, great range of beers, great service, no complaints. Was only serving for take away at the time, nevertheless great pub, lovely staff, will visit here again in the future
The beer tasted strange, so we went on the gins. The barman gave me gin and tonic, I had to explain that I didnt want tonic just gin which left me with two huge wine glasses full of ice? This pub could be so much better.
Love the Crown, a traditional pub in the centre of Seven Dials. Small with many original pub features, warm and cozy. A good range of wine and friendly service. Happy hour 4pm to 6pm is two for one on certain drinks. Whats not to love!
"Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie" hardly yellow polka dot bikini, but I really like this pub, its right on the dial!!! its very small and compact and would not suit everyone, which is fantastic, cos it leaves room for me for when I am up town..great service good beer choices what more do you want.. Its a Pub!!! not many left now.. definitly would come again ..
I have been going to the crown since 2008, as it used to be my local pub.I used to love to come here in such a great location. The place has been losing its soul day by day.Last month on a Sunday it was closed around 10pm, when used to be open everyday till 11pm.I asked the bartender or landlord? Of the opening times and he told me that it depends on the number of customers...So now they close whenever they feel like it.The bartender that is there is rude. My friend always brought is 11 years old to the pub during the day and was always allowed in. This time however in a very unpololite tone he just said: no kids allowed. Like he was talking about a dog or something. This is not the way you treat customers, since this person has been working there, I see less and less people going there, and after reading the bad recent reviews, its clear why...I wont be returning to what used to be my favourite pub!
The Crown used to be my local, a nice pub with friendly staff and a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. The friendly staff have now disappeared being replaced by a grumpy old landlord who does not allow children to be in the pub at 3:30pm on a Saturday. The place is now soulless and no longer the great pub it used to be.Avoid and go instead to the Two Brewers or the Crown and Anchor nearby.
A tip to staff at The Crown: When someone is standing in the middle of the bar holding a card it means they would like to purchase some alcoholic beverages. Not to stand there like a mug and watch other customers get served, especially when the pub is not overly busy at about 5pm on a Friday afternoon. I voted with my feet and had a much better experience later on at The Angel around the corner in St Giles Circus. If you want to experience a proper English pub go there and avoid the abysmal customer service at The Crown.
Had a few drinks sat at a table outside this traditional little London pub. Beautiful sunny Easter day might have helped, so might the location (at the centre of Seven Dialsor it might be that its a good friendly pub. We had a lovely afternoon and met some lovely people. Brilliant!
Popular place in a quirky location as its located right next to the Seven Dials. Theres a range of drinks from all over Europe, but no food is served. Inside, the pub isnt that big and it doesnt take many people to make it feel rather cosy.Sadly, located as it is within the very touristy area of Covent Gardens and Leicester Square, the prices in this pub reflect that. The drinks are extortionately prices.
Nice enough pub in good location but considering its right in the West End, ridiculously closes at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and right on the dot. Then by 11.02, a fairly aggressive doorman was there shouting at everyone, Drink up, you have to leave now. No manners, just aggression and he came every minute. Unpleasant evenings end.
Lovely pub in the heart of the city. Lively in the evenings and weekends, with customers spilling out onto the street by Seven Dials.Friendly staff!
Excellent location, great food and friendly staff. Traditional pub`s atmosphere. We and our clients recommend!
