Rainville Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9HA, Salmon
A traditional pub with a country feel in its tree-filled riverside garden and relaxed lounge bar.
Only ever been on match day at Craven Cottage. Always impressed at how capable this pub is with the crowds. Never too long of a wait for a pint. This time we had some post match hot dogs which were really good. Found out this is part of the same ownership as the Durell which we really love. Excellent atmosphere excellent people. Highly recommend.
I don’t give five star ratings for nobody. The bar was nice in a nice location and had a good garden on the river. It was a little expensive and a little quiet till the main act came on and he rocked the place. Amazing!! If you are here on a Thursday coke for the music, you will not regret it it. A young kiwi guy smashed it out of the park and made everything else not even important.
We were there for Sunday Roast, it was very busy but the staff looked after us really well, checked in on us every now and then to make sure everything is ok. We actually liked the busy atmosphere, lots of families like us. The location is stunning, right by the river. Well definitely be back.
Really love the place, good drinks and food with friends. Big beer garden and riverside terrace. But on cold days the decor and the vibe makes it very cosy inside. Received an amazing service from the Crabtree. Ill definitely come back.
Absolutely loved it there! The vegetarian and vegan food was gorgeous! I had a cocktail too and asked for something refreshing. OMG, it was so delicious! Super charming staff and cosy rustic decor. Its located by the riverside and for someone who loves taking photos, this was an added bonus. Ill be back!
Food perfect cooced, pub klean, staff friendy and suportive! Fish 🤌🏻 delition!!
The place is big and very nice. Definitely a good spot, the staff is also very good, but the food isn’t that nice… Recommend the place for a pint and just to see the river
Had dinner in the restaurant. Food really good - we both had great fish and chips. Friendly and kind staff. Lovely evening, thank you
great service for a work lunch meeting. friendly and accomodating from the start, lovely location and the food and drinks were fantastic, a special mention to zach who was amazing
Visited here on my last trip to Hammersmith will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Most of all the chilled atmosphere made the experience and the walk worth it.
Great location and pleasent garden but £11.00 chicken burger was dry and chewy in a plain bun that crumbled in my hands.Fries not included, but can be ordered for £4.50...Small glass of wine for £7.00
Its a beautiful venue and very accommodating and friendly team. We went there with the family and had a great day. Wether is getting cold outside but it was very warm inside. Definitely be back soon.
One of the best riverside pub I have ever been to. Such a good place to dine, both for lunch and dinner. When I visited London, it was one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Very nice ambiance, great customer service. We received top notch service which made us go there multiple times. I highly recommend.
Great fish & chips, cold beers and a great atmosphere. Cant go wrong here
This place is the best place for a girls dinner. View of the river and amazing food. To top it off the staff are all lovely. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
Great pub with lovely terrace next to the river. Delicious food and great wine list, perfect place for a date or dinner with friends and family. Pub is also dog friendly and the staff is just super helpful!
Best beer garden in London even when weather is not our friend. Amazing food and mega friendly staff, if you are around - you definitely need to visit Crabtree! Can’t wait to come back again
Good food, lovely team, great selection of drinks. What else do we need for perfect evening. Great job guys!
Beautiful pub, amazing food, great night out with friends. Cant wait to return for more good times.
Great food, but the atmosphere was a little too much.We had booked a table in the restaurant area, but we brought our dogs and were informed that we had to sit with them in the pub area. The waiter was super friendly about this, although it did seem a slightly arbitrary rule as theres no real division between the restaurant and the pub area, only that you cant book or get table service in the pub area.Fortunately, we found a couple who were leaving so took a table and ordered. Food came quickly and the veggie roast was the best veggie wellington Ive had. The portion size wasnt the largest, and I wasnt particularly full, but not left hungry.Unfortunately, half way through our food (around 16:30 on a Sundaythe music was turned up. At first we thought this was a mistake as it was so loud, but it wasnt rectified. We finished our food and decided to head on to another pub as it was impossible to have a conversation.
Nice pub, but service last night was poor. Ordered starter had run out but was substituted without apology, burgers were cold, deserts & coffee weren’t offered & when we asked told coffee machine had been shut down for the night! Won’t rush back to eat, average quality & hugely expensive!
Amazing beer garden!! Some lovely staff who are very attentive and welcoming. Absolutely love the live music on the weekends
Excellent private room for drinks party of 50 upstairs. Catering was excellent. Really good choice of tastey and diverse dishes.
Lovely place! The pasta is a must have! They have different seating options, try the Thames side!
Nice place if you would like having beer with friends.Garden is highly appreciated when it comes to after work drinks and cosy chats.Nice view on the Thames River, plus direct access to the Thames Walkway.
This is a lovely pub in lovely location. However, I waited 20min just to order a pint while watching one guy serve whoever is in front of him (despite who was actually at the bar first), while also watching two staff members have a chat for 10 minutes, and another staff member search for a stopper for a Prosecco bottle for 5 minutes. This was at 7pm on a Wednesday with less than a dozen people waiting at the bar.To the management: either train your staff better, or get more staff. At an establishment like this, and at these prices, you should be providing much better service.
Lovely atmosphere, food great. A little pricey but service was excellent. Careful when eating outside as bugs and tree sap fall on you from the trees. Make sure the bigs dont land in your food.
We went to the Crabtree as a group of 3 for an easy Sunday lunch that wasn’t a roast as it was a hot day. The staff were in some part helpful and some part not (took nearly 15 minutes to pay the bill). There was also an issue with wasps outside in the garden seating area and when asked if we could move inside the staff were reluctant; I’m not sure as to why this was but my suspicion is that they had prepped the tables for dinner. (Not an excuse to stop people sitting as it’s not hard to re-set a table). Had it not been for these two issues this would be a 5 star review as both food and drinks were fantastic (oysters, chicken liver parfait and grilled scallops).
Huge pub with loads of different outside seating areas, friendly service from all the staff with good selection of beers and wines. An unbelievable location right on the river with a great atmosphere for evening drinks. Binay and all the staff were very attentive and will definitely return for more drinks and some food soon.
Enjoyed visiting here with friends for their rum punch and the beer garden, Staff were excellent. Thank you especially to Oliver who recommended us the cocktails, and Travis was a great chat too. Thanks guys
Visited with my girlfriend and could not have had a better time, was looked after brilliantly by Sam, Travis, and Ollie the entire night. We loved the beer garden and the vibe was excellent but the three of them keeping tabs on us honestly made our night, will be back!
Pretty pub with a garden at the side and a riverside terrace at the back, a wide drinks selection and a reputation for good food. On my last visit they had run out of quite a few options at early lunchtime, which was disappointing, and the food we ordered was a mixed bag. The bruschetta starter was terrible, like stale untoasted Hovis bread topped with guacamole from a jar and then heritage tomatoes and capers. The scallop starter was nice but was literally one small scallop. Mains were better, the spring lamb rump was pink and came with a punchy salsa verde and the burger and fries were decent. Service was fine. The riverside terrace is quite a draw so no doubt I will return but they could do to up their game a bit on the food front.
Nice view on the river but the food was both overpriced and disappointing. Definitely wouldnt recommend coming here for food. I had a cherry fizz cordial which was good, however, the hummus was bland and watery.
Great setting for an outdoor dinner! Friendly staff and a good menu. The only thing I would suggest is to come early for dinner on a nice sunny day as they run out of the popular items on the menu. Wanted to order the Charcuteri and the Veg sharing platter and they had run out. Wanted to order a burratini for starters and the same. Ended up having the salted beef salad which was delicious. The scallop was rather small and unappealing as it was over cooked. Ordered a monkfish cheek for mains and instead of tenderstem brocolli, got normal boiled tasteless undercooked brocolli. So all in all, not a pleasant experience but will definitely give them another chance to redeem themselves on a less busy night.
This is the best pub in Fulham / on the Thames path.Excellent food and beer.
very very tasty rib eye steak. great service lovely atmosphere!
Went with a party of 12, having booked. Service was cheerful and friendly but pretty slow. Its a nice pub in a great location by the river, but I suspect they dont reaĺly have enough staff to cope when it gets busy. Food was good when it finally came.
Great pub with a great garden. Staff are really efficient and lovely, was served by an aussie guy called Yoni (sorry if i spelt that wrong!). We had a couple side dishes as well which were really nice and the portion was really good
Nice ambiance: stylish and relaxed. We sat at a table with river sight. The food is great! We had a lazy lunch with tomato soup and grilled leek as starters and a lovely vegetarian Sunday roast (plant based Wellingtonas mains. For dessert, we had a apple crumble. Will return!
Not the best experience Ive had. Ordered some bread to share, server forgot to put it through. The menu description for the roast dinners has items that dont arrive and the waiting staff dont seem to understand why. No seafood at all. Many beers off. Even came back to the table as the total amount paid was 63p short even though we had paid the optional service charge. Seemed petty. Advertisements around the area said please speak to our servers about Fathers Days specials. Asked and again the staff appeared clueless, when pressed to find out came and said there werent any. Just a very odd experience. Food was ok.
My friend decided to celebrate her 40th birthday in this pub, as I dont leave in London anymore I havent visited before. The pub was lovely and the garden area is very big with lots of space to celebrate with your friends and have a bit of privacy. The only downside for me was a long walk from the stations, from Parsons green is 30 minutes walk and from Hammersmith is about 20. I guess if dont mind walks well worth.
Lovely atmosphere. Great food. Good service. Nice view
Great place! The garden area is fantastic - it has views over the Thames, but it is also shaded from the sun and protected from wind! Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon which is when we went. I had the beef roast - absolutely delicious! The gravy it comes with is the best I think Ive ever had. All staff we friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.
After trying a few places in Hemel for a nice family meal thats not over-priced, weve finally found it. Will be making it a weekly treat. The food is lovely and The staff are very professional and welcoming. Been a few times and are already made to feel like regulars. 👍
I have frequented the Crabtree for many years now. While the food menu firmly positions itself as a high end pub (and the quality does not disappoint), the Crabtree remains cosy and welcoming. The manager is particularly well versed in hospitality and makes you and your guests feel looked after. There is also a large beer garden with plenty of seating, perfect for a hot summers day.
Amazing atmosphere, great service and staff are always so helpful, venue and location is brilliant and the food is delicious.Situated next to the river and the walk path you cant miss Crabtree. I love their fries either the triple cooked or the patato sweet fries 🍟 so good. Its a very popular place so sometimes during the summer its hard to find a good spot to sit.
It’s a child friendly restaurant that makes us pressure free having good time with our baby there.A lovely place to spend Sunday with family there, good service and tasty meals. Recommend it!
Hadnt booked, was really made to pay for that with absurd 2 line queing process that literally tried to make you feel like like a 2nd class citizen while the concierge scoured the street for those who had booked and uneccesarily making those without booking wait. Took so long for each admission, this wasnt due to covid registration, but the man just walking away for 5 mins at a time between guests. I was even able to enter, go to the toilet and exit again before he even realised, so much for security! So his needs to be addressed as we very nearly walked away, It felt extremely arrogant behaviour. Food and location outside absolutely saved a 1 star review happening, but service was grumpy from a young lady waitress, and food and exceptionally good chardonnay made us happy.
My God this is a really nice place!Everything was good...the drinks, the food, the service and the outdoors space. Please try the triple something something dripping something chips (sorry I forgot the nameThese are the best chips youll have. The only thing that was off today was the bread that came with the Camembert starter because it was too hard!!! If I could upload videos I would show you how the bread sounds like rock hitting the table 😂... (however try this Camembert, youll thank me since it comes wrapped in filo dough!).
Amazing food and dessert. Friendly service and good measures in place to help with the pandemic. Indoor seating area and two outdoor seating areas - the one by the river is very lovely, with flowers, hanging lights and a massive willow tree above it.Can get very busy at times, so online booking is recommended.
