Quick and friendly service, loved the venue- got to see and feed tons of turtles! Reasonably priced, and the food was DELICIOUS. Good drink specials too. And the key lime pie was DIVINE. Will definitely be back!

Hadnt been to the Lizard in awhile.Went back cause Niki from the tropical grille is now working at the Lizard. She is awesome and I will make regular stops there now!

It was horrible and well never return! A hot humid day hardly any seats the martini didnt have any olives, the ICED tea was warm, the server was covered in SWEAT but the crab spinach dip was good

In response to my first review and the response from apparently the manager maybe you should tell your servers that. That is what she said the fresh catch was! I didn’t make it up Also not a real professional response so now a 1 star 🤷‍♀️

Like the open deck only been there once. Food was ok could of been better oil was old 😕 in fryer. Portions were decent on appetizers waitress was great good service would go back 👍

Excellent food and service very nice and lively staff. Super friendly and very well ran. The live music is very entertaining I recommend for everyone from couples to families with children. Even those singles ready to get out there and mingle. Don’t forget to play some darts and feed the alligators fish and ducks with a wonderful wonderfront view of the Weeki Wachee river!

Fresh catch halibut? Definitely not local fresh. Mango chutney with no mango and appeared and tasted like salsa. Prices way over priced on everything. Gets 2 stars as server and hostess were great. Band was good. Atmosphere was good. Food was awful

The lazy lizard is amazing. The owners are extremely kind. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is delicious. They have great drink specials and theres live music all the time. Come by and check out the gator and have a good time in a chill environment

Brian b greeted us when we walked in and he was extremely welcoming and explained all of the specials and menu items… We had the cold peel and eat shrimp, the crabcakes, seafood platter that was grilled, and coconut fish dinner that was amazing. All of the food and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Decent spot in town. Food was good. Not too many options around the area and this place seemed a bit more lively. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Nice staff.

Winter on my birthday back in March had a horrible experience.. I have friends tell me listen give it another chance I got new staff everything so I went back on the 29th and the service was bad but I could have dealt with it but my food I waited forever for it then got it my noodles were burnt and crunchy says something to the waitress she looked at it and said I see what youre talking about ask me if I wanted a new one and I said why Ill be here waiting another hour she said okay Ill just buy your your next drink and then walked off got stuck with a $25 meal that I couldnt even eat or enjoy my waitress kept disappearing worrying about her bigger tables instead of the two people that were there before everybody else ask to speak to a manager got told that he was busy just an overall bad experience and I used to love going there

Meh. Live music was not great. Poor beer selection on tap. Not kid friendly at all. Service was not friendly or quick. I would not go back.

Our food was amazing (boneless wings & bbq pulled pork sandwich). Service extremely slow and music was terrible but loud. That’s ok though. However, a waitress got mad at us for moving our table but no one said anything to patrons feeding the alligators, although it’s illegal and signs were posted. That ticked us off. Not cool.

Some of the best food on the beach. Scratch kitchen hold your horses and wait for it it will be worth it. Bartenders learn who you are and have your drink ready when you sit. Great atmosphere great food great people great service win-win.

Greatest place in Hernando County, you won’t be disappointed so give the lizard a try and you’ll be back! The service is stellar whether you are at the bar or a table. Food is always on point. If they run out of something, it’s understandable for a scratch kitchen!

First of all the food was gross. Ordered fried got broiled. Never got water that was asked for. Brother in love cut his lip.on a busted beer bottle and manager said do I need to call 911...do you need an ambulance. No remorse...just blame it on .Manufacturer. Poor service and poor food. Check this one off of the list!!! Do yourself a favor and do t go jeret.

Food is made to order so it takes a little longer to get but you will have a fresh meal no matter what you order. Mixed drinks unique to the area were interesting.

The "thermal nuclear" sauce is their hottest sauce. It isnt hot in the least bit. Seems to be on the same scoville level as Tabasco. It is a delicious sauce but dont be fooled into thinking its actually hot. 9 tiny wings for $11. Not 10 wings, mind you. 9. Supposedly sold by the "pound" but damn. Great tasting wings and wonderfully cooked, though.5 star service from the hostess to the seat to the food. Excellent bartender (Ashleigh)! Great view. Nice menu nice place.Would definitely give it a try again but wouldnt expect anything spicy.

Live music. All outdoor seating, some next to the river with tons of turtles and fish, and the occasional gator. The side dish portions are kind of small for the price. The Texas burger was great! Friendly staff.

First time at the Lazy Lizard and the atmosphere was great. Food was good and service was as well considering there were 15 of us. Only complaint was i ordered a texan burger and wanted to make it a double pattie. Got charged for 2 full Texan burger meals at 14 dollars each totally 28 bucks just for my meal. Talked to the server and said she was told to do it this way, she was able to get $2.50 off. If they were going to charge me full price for extra pattie, bacon, and cheese, I would expect 2 full meals not just 1 with an extra pattie, bacon and cheese. Other then that, great place to bring your family for some food, music and beers!

We ordered salads and a cheeseburger and it was not that busy. The server stated the reason it took an hour was because they use a scratch kitchen. The wings were also not that great. Dont waste your time or money going here.

Servers must have had a bad day. It took a long time for the server to come over. Not friendly at all. They were not busy either. Literally 10 people there and they were all at the bar. She brought drinks and ran off while we were in mid sentence asking to order an appetizer. Fried pickles were so greasy we had to use napkins to sop up grease. The pickles were soggy. We didnt stick around for actual food.

Our first visit and definitely not the last! We loved the atmosphere, the entertainment was great and the food was delicious! Highly recommend The Lazy Lizard💖

This has become our go-to for late lunches. The Caesar salad is the best I’ve had outside Tijuana (where it was inventedand if you add shrimp or scallops to it - even better. We’ve never had bad service and we’ve been moved to better tables when we came late on weekends without reservations. All the servers are great.

Our waitress was really nice and helpful. The atmosphere was great and loved the area. The food was great and we are glad we stopped here for lunch!

The chicken sandwich was delicious, hot and juicy. The chicken entree is the bomn! So yummy. And the Jones Jr band was terrific.

Good food Clint had the Philly Cheese Steak and I had the fried Haddock. An awesome lunch with Bloody Marys. Outside on patio, next time well sit at tiki bar, closer to the water The tables along the Weeki Watchi River were all reserved. Loved the Scratch Kitchen, friendly atmosphere, and saw some cool cars.

Good atmosphere! The food was good too. They had a decent band and played good music in between the band playing. The service was good as well. Its a great place to hang out with friends and family for food and drinks. We did a little dancing too. There were several birthday shout-outs including 2 from our group.

Nice little bar. Stopped to see some alligators but it was a bit too cold the day we went. The drinks were good, the waitress was friendly and very helpful. We snuck out while the band was starting to set up for live music. Definitely would go back to get the full experience.

Really enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere. They had live music tonight, Ryan Marchand was the performer. One of the best live performers we have heard before. We will definitely be back!!🍻🎶

My salmon was not cooked all the way through. I returned it so they could put it back on the grill but the middle was still not well done when I got it back. The portion that was done tasted good I just wish it was all done.

I ask the young host for a table near the water.. She said there is only one but its a 6 person table (we group of 4then she pick another 6 people table not near the water and seat us there. The only reason we came here was because the birthday kid pick this location to watch the fish in the water. Thanks...P.S. No one was seating there for 2 hours (The time we was thereso Im assuming that no one put reservations on it...

Excellent fresh food that’s cooked to perfection. Although advertised as non- smoking, it’s not. Just something to be aware of.

I went with my girlfriends on a Saturday night. A wonderful atmosphere with music. They were busy and the servers are working very hard. This is a scratch kitchen so be patient. All of our food was delicious. I even took two slices of homemade Keylime pie to take home. It did not disappoint. I enjoyed watching the alligator and feeding the turtles and fish while we waited. We did order drinks from the bar and they were also excellent. I would definitely go back.

This place is a hidden gem, but well known to the locals. Very good food, and wait staff very attentive. Live music, and fun times to be had. On the river with aquatic life to view! Very relaxing here, with a full liquor bar, BONUS🍔🍕🍺🍹🍸 So take a trip to this Lazy Lizard, you wont be disappointed!

Food was absolutely great, i had a turkey club and the pork chops and everything came out fast and perfect, the alligator happened to be outside when we sat down on their outer deck and it really brought the whole experience all together, they may need to fix the bathroom situation but that is just the thing that takes time, overall it was fantastic

Had an excellent lunch there. Great menu and the food was very good. Bar service was excellent as will. Will return for sure. GREAT PLACE!!
