The Courtyard Café - Cafe in Celbridge, Ireland
Such a shame they have let this place goUsed to be a favourite spot after a park run but rearly not worth the hassel any more 😬Food and staff have taken a nose dive and I hate posted bad reviews but someone needs to take a serious look at what they believe is customers service and nice foodNo table service staff hiding out the backCant even drop cutlery with the foodBreakfast was horrible no effort at allPlease get someone professional to run what used to be a favourite spot
We had breakfast in The Courtyard Cafe (run by Brambles Cafe), Castletown House, Celbridge with group of 10, on Saturday 22nd of October 2022. Several people in our group ordered Eggs Benedict (€8.50only to be told that the Chef could not produce hollandaise sauce for the dish. Why is it on the menu if chef unable to produce? What was presented was a partly-toasted muffin, steamed rashers (limp & no colour), 2 undercooked eggs, tomato quarter & ‘sweet chilli sauce’… this was unacceptable. The other dishes (Breakfast Bap, Scrambled eggswere equally as poor.Coffee was nice.
A slow Tuesday afternoon and it took 40 minutes for a single sandwich, while the 6 people that ordered after me got their food very quickly. By the time I got the sandwich it was rushed and sloppy. Over priced and no flavor
Appalling slow service by disinterested staff. Ruined the visit and badly needs an upgrade in supervision and organisation.
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely scones.Very tasty food.
Love Si cafes, great nosh n coffee, lovely staff,
Amazing food and coffee with friendly and helpful staff!! In a very good location also. Well worth the visit!
Great place to go for a quick cup of coffee or a sit down meal! Got a ham and cheese toastie and it was lovely!! Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! Lovely place to eat ☺️
The cafe is always a draw and you can eat outside or inside. We chose inside and just stopped for coffee today. Staff are lovely.Only problem is, their toilets are not open!!!Instead you have to leave the cafe and walk out of the courtyard to some pretty shoddy portaloos outside. Everything inside the portaloos was soaking wet and when I came out, nowhere to clean or wash your hands and the sanitizer was empty!!!So if Castletown Cafe have not got their actual onsite toilets open because of Covid, they have failed miserably given that Ihad to walk back to the cafe to go inside and use their sanitizer after using the loo. Really not up to scratch and very disrespectful to their customers .
Was asked to order & pay before being able to sit down with my elderly mother & kids (no menu was given).
Beautiful setting, delicious full Irish
Beautiful spot after a nice walk, Full Irish is so tasty and great value, excellent coffee and super service!
Absolutely fab service, coffee and food is amazing too. A must if you’re in Celbridge or Maynooth ☕️
Lovely little gem for a quick coffee or a toasty on a cold day. Service was impeccable, a lovely young man who seemed to be running the place! Great spot to eat whilst enjoying a walk in Castletown!
Shocking!!! I waited for more then1 hour for Ceazer salad and two chicken tenders, with two small children. And thats what I got, couple of lettuce and full of croutons, even though Im gluten intolerant, I told them when I ordered.
Friendly staff, lovely place, highly recommend, will definitely be back
I went today I ordered two toasties and latte, 2 cookies. It took 20mins to order and there was 2 people ahead of me when I ordered my stuff it took another half an hour.
Lovely place to visit. Staff are very friendly, everything was nice and clean. They even have bowls of water for the dogs which came in very handy for our dog after our long walk. The hot chocolate was lovely and the kids loved their ice-creams too. Thanks for a great experience 😊
Very good staff very friendly, greet coffee and food.
I visited The Courtyard Café on Saturday, really lovely location. Staff are very Friendly, fantastic coffee, and the Lemon Drizzle cakes was amazing. I look forward to my next visit.
Very nice staff, lovely location, but ridiculously overpriced. €8.50 for a BLT that said it came with sourdough bread, unfortunately it was just standard sliced pan accompanied by a sad looking side salad. Decent tasting, but definitely not worth the price.
W porządku lokal. W starej kuchni palacu ulokowany. Ceny mogłyby być ciut niższe
Well stocked with peanuts, crisps and cans of club orange
Good cafe, had the falafel wrap with grilled halloumi.. was very good... chips were good (but a bit overpricedand the staff were professional...covid 19 rules enforced well.... castletown house is a lovely place, nice walks , overall good experience.
The coffee s are good as always but I feel we are being overcharged considering they are not providing seating or the use of the wash rooms during these difficult times. Would appreciate a price reduction until facilities re open.
Lovely coffee. Great service.
Its a bit pricey but always a great place to visit any time of the year. One of my favourite places to go in Celbridge and has a historical tale to tell... Hope you Enjoy Castletown House
No toilets!!
Smallish cafe with a nice range of medium priced foods. It is pleasant and staffed by professionals in the grounds of an OPW cared for building. The grounds themselves are good for a country walk.
Lovely food, good prices, very accommodating, accepts reservations, room a bit too warm for my liking but OK. Bathroom has changing facilities for baby and lots of space in cubicle
Lovely coffee. Lovely surroundings.
Service is a bit slow. Coffee isnt great, i had an Americano, the crema disappeared before it got to the table. I had eggs Benedict. They were excellent. I enjoyed my brunch. It was an excellent meal in a 3 star Cafe. Not my first time there and I will be back.
Excelente y pintoresco Cafet
Very poor layout, dont sit at the table to the right by the counter, you will be crowded with people getting take away coffees, kids looking for sweets etc.. Bumping off your table, not a pleasant experience. They really need to just sit there themselves to experience it, its not pleasant. Signs need to be improved one says wait to be seated, another says sit down, table service only... We sat and waited, and waited, and waited, tried to make contact with a staff member.... Its a shame this is a lovely location and the eggs Florentine was really good!
Nice food, pleasant atmosphere
Its a really nice venue, but the food and coffee is canteen standard.
Horrible. The chicken burger was dry, chips were over done.
Lovely coffee staff friendly
Tea and cakes are only equaled by how pleasant the staff are.
Food is superb especially the Croque Monsieur. Breakfast is served till about 1:00 which is great and the room is cosy and quiet. Hot chocolates are always hot and delicious.
Lovely to sit outside when the sun is shining. Good breakfast and lunch options. Nice take away coffee too.
