give Gwen a raise in the restaurant. Best waitress going
Two mini breakfasts for 25 euros, coffees finished before breakfast arrive, breakfast finished before toast arrives. Lethal combination, rough and expensive
Stopped in on Saturday for a quick bite and a coffee with my sister and the food didnt disappoint and neither did the service we would like to give a special thanks to our waitress Trinity for being so friendly and accommodating. We will be back!
Food was excellent, I highly recommend, staff were excellent
Getting my dog groomed so dropped in for pot of tea and a biscuits lovely atmosphere putting up Christmas decorations lovely mince pie 🥧 would have been nice lovely place lovely staff thanks
This is a hit and miss place going to be honest here. Its in a fantastic part of the village ur right beside everything shops, busses and other outlets. Downside not sure since over covid but service can be a bit slow (new staff which change alotor its just the staff dont care and gave up. I love this place as its my local so Im trying not to be to nice or mean here. From a luxury hotel to where its just ok. The manager thats there he is lovely and great to talk to. The rest just try to avoid you. I admit customers can be nasty too seen one staff member get abuse while serving me. This lady just walked in and demanding her order be taking. But all in all its not a bad hotel just needs improving
My family and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days, and it was the best experience.Very family orientated hotel, lovely spacious rooms and the best staff. Well situated, close to many amentities and bus services. I fell in love with Leixlip and Celbridge during our stay. The people are supurb and the area is magnificent. The people here are proud of the their work, community and the town. The food was to die for, every single time. Freshly prepared, generous portions and delicious. Everyone was so helpful, professional and accomodating. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The reception-, bar-, restaurant-, kitchen- and house keeping staff were amazing. If I could, I would rate them all 10 stars. An absolute gem in Ireland! And thank you for making our transition into Ireland a very pleasurable experience.
Attended a graduation party with family and a few friends. Excellent customer service and very good food.Very comfortable environment which I will recommend highly for all events.
*CLUB UPSTAIRS!!* What good is a hotel if you can’t sleep in it?? The outside of the hotel is what dreams are made of- so beautiful. But their website should say somewhere in very big letters “CLUB UPSTAIRS THAT PLAYS MUSIC UNTIL 1AM”. Because we didn’t know that the club existed until we were in the bar having drinks and eating, when droves of young people started coming in around 9:30pm, going upstairs and filling the bar and outside areas. I am traveling with my husbands family and our 4 year old daughter. The bass from the music in our room was so incredibly loud. I called the front desk, and the response told me that they know it’s an issue and the manager doesnt care to do anything about the volume because this is how it always is. By 11:30 when our 4 year old still wasn’t sleeping we asked to switch rooms. They were kind and gave us a new room on the other side of the hallway. It was great for about 10 minutes until at midnight the volume kicked up, and even with earplugs and white noise cranked up, it was still so so loud. Beautiful place, but unless you sleep through anything I wouldn’t recommend it. I would recommend to the manager to find a happy medium. The music volume isn’t an issue, I can’t hear the words to the song. It’s the bass that is way too loud, which can EASILY be turned down to a reasonable level. If you want to successfully run both businesses in the same building, you’ll have to figure something out.
Fantastic, had a great time with friends last weekend. Staff very polite and friendly, big beer garden with huge screen if you wanna watch some sports matches 😀 😉 👌
Very nice, quiet hotel. Staff was very friendly. The courtyard was a nice place to hang out at. Theres a creek behind the hotel with a small walking path around town that was nice. The town itself is cute but has necessities and several restaurants. It didnt take long to get into Dublin either from this location. It was a great value for the price and I would come back
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They have a club that blasts music attached to their hotel (especially their bass, that dun dun dun noisethat makes it impossible to sleep, especially on the weekends. It was so loud that I had to sleep on the floor in the bathroom to try and get away from the noise of that bass ): I was not expecting to sleep in a hotel that provides its own noise pollution. At one point, we asked if they could turn the bass down. They did so for a about 20 minutes, but then they turned the music up even louder until 2 am.This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Keywords: terrible ; loud ; noisy ; awful ; club ; bad
DO NOT STAY HERE, ESPECIALLY FRI - SUN!There is a club attached to the hotel that will play loud, thumpy music until 2 am which you can clearly hear from your room, even with the windows closed. You can ask them to turn it down, but it will not help.Do you have an early flight the next day? Too bad. Thumpy music until 2 am. The staff will literally laugh and say that the manager is well aware that they play loud music all night.Dear manager of this club with a hotel attached as an afterthought: I know you don’t care, but please take less amusement next time you trick someone into staying at your “hotel.”
Only been here for food and a drink but have had a great time every time. Food hits the spot perfectly, Ive tried 3/4 things at this stage and each one has been delicious. Would highly recommend. Staff are always welcoming and polite and the service is top as well. Love the courtyard and will be back.
Ordered lunch had the soup it was cold it was leek and pototo but it dident taste like it it wasent nice
Fabulous spot 👌I had my 40th birthday party recently in the Piano room, everything from the dj to the food to the atmosphere it was brilliant!!Big shout out to Claire who helped me organise it all! 🥳
Ordered 2 meals. Absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t eat them. When asked was everything ok, we replied the food was of a very low standard. Barman was rude. Think it was just his level of intelligence. He didn’t know how to manage it in a polite manner. Won’t be back.
We had a nice experience there, well trained, polite and helpful staff
Not good at all went to check in and our room was not ready and we were attending a wedding .so had to get changed in our sisters room 🙈 Ordered tea and had to pay for it before we got it no breakfast included and had to pay for before we got it we will not be back
The food was absolutely terrible quality, we tried to come back after 11pm and nobody would let us in. Bouncers an absolute disgrace especially red headed bouncer. DO NOT VISIT!!!!
Myself and my work colleagues decided to dine for breakfast at the Courtyard, first impression palace looked great clean tidy and loads of space. From then on things seemed very off with the place . We found our own seats and had to find our own menus which was surprising, only seen one member of staff for the first 15 minutes after sitting down. We had to go looking for staff to take our order . We finally ordered our food and drinks, which came on time all bar my COFFEE . Food next looked good but staff left us our food WITHOUT knifes and folks they took another 10 minutes . Our food was almost cold had to use a coffee spoon to relieve some hunger by eat our mini mini beans. Another customer seen our situation and offered to find some staff and mention not them our situation. Cutlery arrived eventually we had to ask (3 of usfor some toast (isnt toast a given with full Irishbut by that stage we had began a race, a race against the cold. So we had to decide between what to eat and what we thought would hold the heat long enough and could save for a bit later .was tricky but we managed to all eat our food which to be fair to the chief was great top notch cook . Then we had a full 10 minutes wait at the bar to pay, staff passed us bye without even a hello. In short great food terribly managed needs an over all at the top end better training for staff on the floor
This is a super cool hotel. Definitely glad I stayed here. Even had live music at their own pub!
Not a great experience at all, had to sleep in car in car park. Mistake was made by us initially and when we arrived were told it was OK. Left our bags behind the desk as the event we were attending was early and explained to the woman what had happed to be told it was OK and the 3 of us could sleep in the room. We arrived back to the hotel around 2am and I was not let in and as result had to sleep in the car in the car park.My friend brought me a throw as I had gotten wet and was cold in the car. The throw was an average small throw which as we all live in Wexford told them we would return as soon as we could get up.They they charged us 50 euro and a further 109 euro for the blanket without any warning, not even a courtesy call. The even attended was only 1 weekend ago, so did not give us any decent time to get it back. I would also like to see receipts for these blankets as they can not be that price in any real world.
Although finding the car park was a little tricky this venue is fantastic. The service was wonderful and the staff really pleasant. The food, although slightly pricie was really lively. The outdoor space is the crowning glory of this hidden gem.
Went in yesterday for a pint and have to say the staff have a far better attitude towards customers than they had before.A great bunch of lads
3 disabled travelling together. Staff so very helpful. Excellent food and service 👌.
Absolutely lovely hotel, great bar, great breakfast and nice rooms. Parking is suitable for large vans. Only problem is I didn’t sleep. There was some drama in the hotel that night, through no fault of their own but when asked if my stay was ok and i reported the disturbance the response was “ah sure these things happen”. A simple sorry to hear that would be enough. Hotels in Ireland don’t need reviews anymore, the demand simply outweighs the need for service. I’d stay again to be fair, just miss the detail. Thanks all the same courtyard.
Great service in a beautiful location. Food gorgeous and staff very friendly. Absolute bargain for a room. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Good place for outdoor seating.however when we were ordering, the staff seems to be more concerned talking to each other complaining about how they feel. There were 5 staff and 5 tables. and yet attention paid to guest and service was minimal. Food was okey.
This is a lovely hotel. Beautiful surroundings, nice walks. Only problem we had was finding it. Google maps kept telling us we were there but theres a tiny entrance on main street which you dont see from the car. We were directed to a car park but still no sign on the small left hand turn at the end to say Courtyard Hotel entrance.
Avoid. Terrible service and rude staff. One "waitress" in patricular who looked down her nose at us as if we werent fit to be there. Was too much trouble for the barman to hand us the menus when we couldnt find them. The least anyone wanting to order food would expect is to be gven a menu. Plenty of staff behind the bar talking with none out in the courtyard keeping tables clean, serving customers ect. Bad attitude to say the least. Had to clean the table ourselves of the glasses left by the previous customers. Chips we ordered never arrived despite reminding the waiter. Food was ok and good guinness but the staff lets this place down so wont be making a return visit. Dont waste your money here.
Could not fault this wee hidden gem my husband found for us. Everything was perfect. Room was sparkling and had fab extras. All staff were really helpful and friendly. The outdoor space was lovely with a fab choice of seating, big screen and loads of heaters too. Theres also a walkway to the side of the hotel along the river and benches to relax on. Indoors there was a good choice of seating areas too. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious and reasonably priced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here that we even booked again for a few months time.
Had lunch with friends on last Friday. Staff very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Extensive menu and food was delicious. Will definitly return.
Nice pub, plenty of room. Bit of parking there for the non drinking motorists.I always enjoy going for a pint there especially in the summertime. I can imagine when there is a big sporting occasion on that The Court Yard is the go to place in Leixlip.
Hotel and staff were amazing . Room was above excellent the standard of cleanliness was above anything. Staff were efficient and friendly. Loads to do and the courtyard is amazing. Cant wait to stay again. 10 / 10
This was the second time coming here, the first time we came here we had a pretty fun and Pleasant, but last time we were there the person Who first took out order was pretty rude. Talking to us in a way as if we were stupid. Speaking to us in a mocking matter. We were however given a free decert on the house after explaining our experience to one of the other Staff members.
Over cooked chips that I had to remind staff twice that I hadnt received them. Ordered a steak blue because sometimes a rare is over cooked. Still came out medium. Maybe they had a trainee chef on. Two members of staff trying to run service on the restaurant floor, one of them was there only a week the other was her first night. Terrible Management practice. I used to like coming here.
Very busy...in a good way!! great to see the pubs back doing the business!great atmosphere, decent food menu at affordable price...am not a fan of horse/dog racing which was available on a few large screens but a number of other customers seemed interested.
Ive always enjoyed a pint and watching the football in the courtyard but I wont be going back for a while... one particular staff member tried to turn the game off yesterday even though the rugby was on maybe 10 other screens and our football match was on 1 (which they muted!!to accommodate other fellas who just wandered in. He was quite unpleasant and made us feel very unwelcome
Huge outdoor area covered by a canopy. Huge TV screen to watch sports on. Service is good. The bridal suite features an outdoor hot tub which is beautiful. The rooms with balcony’s are spacious and comfy. Food is also at a good standard.
Booked my daughters long awaiting communion meal here and was absolutely 💯 amazing.. right from the booking staff to the actual day .. staff couldnt have been friendly and more helpful and even on the day had a personalised kids menu for her ..Recommended for any events
Having frequented the court yard for various occasions over a good few years and all having been without any problems, I booked an outdoor table for my daughters confirmation due to covid restrictions, with ringing the day before to confirm everything was OK. When we got to the hotel we were told they had no record of our booking and besides the fact they stopped taking bookings for weekends. We were eventually found 2 tables in what was an alcove without cover or heaters where everybody was using to smoke. The tables and benches were wet so we had to wipe them down ourselves. When I went to complain to the manager James he was less than helpful and suggested it was first come first served and that I should have requested a better table but after a few words he promised to move us to the covered/ heated seated area as soon as a table became available. But that promise never happened. We eventually got our order taken but we waited approximately an hour after ordering for our food to be brought out (i know it was busy and staff shortages didnt help thatbut had to ask 3 times for a portion of the food to be brought out which came when most of the food was gone. Then the majority of our group left before any dessert or tea/coffee could be ordered because it was so cold and the service was such a let down. The rest of us went to order dessert to be told they were stopped taking food orders for the time being. When I went to complain again we got a dessert and coffee order taken. The coffee came quick enough but the dessert took so long we ended up just cancelling the order. When I asked for the manager (james again so I could find out why our daughters confirmation dinner couldnt have gone a bit better and why I had to fight to get just the basic level of service from the whole staff. James went on to walk by our table a few times completely ignoring us. I had to eventually ask another member of staff if there was another manager available to speak to as James didnt seem to want to play ball. While we were waiting for the general manager, James and the other member of staff couldnt have made it more obvious they were having a good laugh at our expense right in front of us. Im not one for posting reviews unless my experience somewhere has been exceptionally bad but felt because of James total lack of professionalism I have no choice. And only for all my many previous experiences where so nice, the food was still nice on the day and Jason the general manager who took over my compliant and took it seriously was a gent to deal with this review would have gotten no stars. Staff attitude goes along way to keeping a minor situation from escalating, and if booking mistakes are made u still look after the customer as best you can instead of treating them as an inconvenience.
Food was freshly made and recieved generous portions. 3 year old was offered complimentary colours and book. I have the chicken burrito which felt more of a wrap. The chicken burger and kids sliders were very nice. Friendly and helpful staff despite standing idol for a good while on arrival however.
We didnt stay in the hotel but I booked last minute for afternoon tea for a large group of 8. Booking staff were great and very accommodating. Table service on the day was exceptional, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more ! The desserts for 8 people honestly would have fed 12, we brought loads home! 40 euro for 2 people was incredible value. Small suggestion if we came back we probably could have done with more of the savoury items and half the cakes and a cheese option would be great for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Thank you for a great afternoon!
On the main Street in Leixlip this does not look like much. but turn down into the parking area beside it and go through the barrier at the bottom to its private car park and this place opens up. A lovely secluded covered courtyard awaits with friendly staff and spacious surroundings. The menu is decent and the food is good. Service was good and quick. We shared a meat platter and wanted more, it was delicious. With the Guinness homestead close buy the draught is top notch. It has a waterfall, smoking area and very large screen for sports, but dont take my word for it give this place a try.
We were at the courtyard over the weekend for our own wedding . We were honestly amazed by the effort that was put in by the staff . Each and every staff member we crossed paths with was kind accommodating and sincere . Not just on the wedding night but the night before as well , we had guests come up and tell us how lovely the staff were to them without even knowing they were part of the wedding . The venue itself is absolutely beautiful , very elegant and bright with gorgeous decor and lots of space , perfect for a wedding ! The food was second to none , we had so much positive feedback about the food especially the main courses and deserts . From start to finish the Court Yard made not only ourselves but all of our guests feel welcome . They were also very accommodating when it came to our 10 month old daughter and the other children that attended the wedding . The bar food and outdoor dining area is gorgeous too and we will definitely be be regulars in the near future !For anyone looking at The Courtyard as a potential venue I can recommend it wholeheartedly . Thank You to all the staff who made our day so perfect .
Great place to eat, would def recommend for families. They require COVID digital certs which they scan so have them with you. We hadnt booked, so were lucky to get a table in the bar. Place was packed, but the tables were spaced out enough so you would feel safe. Not many veggie options on the menu. I had the vegan buddha bowl, it was tasty. My husband had the stack burger, said it was super. No kids menu, my daughter had chicken tenders and chips. She loved it. Im taking a star off for the wait. It was quite long. Luckily the food made up for that. We visited Sun 15.08.21.
Great choice of delicious food on the bar menu, from scampi and traditional fish (see phototo burgers, steaks, sandwiches, tacos for mains, with a mix of starters and desserts including cheesecake and sundaes (see photo), something for everyone 😋 Big screen on site for the sporting enthusiasts and outdoor area covered in, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Highly recommended 👌
Nice if you can find it although I wasnt terribly excited about sitting outdoors to eat. I would have preferred to sit at a proper table inside in the warmth after a long day and have a proper dinner rather than the tacos and the ordering of the food and drinks was peculiar too . If go back but id definitely want a more traditional dining experience. Room was nice clean comfortable staff were pleasant too
Happy with food tonight and the service. Darren taking orders was great. Only thing I would say is the tent area is very cold and could definitely use some heaters. Aside from that we enjoyed our evening. Thanks
