The Coupe — NAU - Chicken wings restaurant in Flagstaff, United States
Natalie was wonderful she really informed me about everything I wanted to know. She was professional and courteous.
Taylor H provided our family a tour on Saturday (22 Oct). Not only was she very professional and thorough, she sparked a desire for my soon to be freshmen to enroll at NAU. With CAs like Taylor, I am sure most of the residents feel like they are at home.If there is any type of reward program for CAs who get good reviews, you would do well by tripling Taylors amount of points/tickets/etc...Ok managers do the minimum, great leaders triple... be that good leader!
Jocelyn gave us a very thorough tour of the facility. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. I really appreciated her patients and kindness. We left knowing that my son had found his home for the Fall of 2023!
We were helped Jocelyn Jimenez. She was super inviting and thorough in the tour. It was a very informative experience.
Kaila is literally the best employee and she always helps me out by printing my stuff. Shes so friendly and I love talking to her. Can we please consider fixing, replacing, or adding more laundry machines to building four.
I moved in this year and was slightly nervous but Giuliano, an employee there was very kind and made me feel welcome. Every time I walk through the office he says hi and talks to me. 6/5 just for him
I would like to recognize Giuliano for helping me out with my questions and overall good service
Amelie was an amazing tour guide, she definitely got me considering moving to the suites next year! The other front desk workers were great also when we were finishing up the tour and we had questions to ask! They were able to answer all our questions and concerns. :))
Greer gave us a great tour yesterday! She was knowledgeable and helpful not only about The Suites but also about NAU as a whole. Thank you!!
I called because I had questions about the leasing process. Kate spent a bunch of time with me and answered all of my questions. I felt confident in applying for my son for next year!
Id like to recognize and thank Sophia S. for her helpful attitude in getting my son set up for his first year attending NAU, living at The Suites. She really went above and beyond in addressing our many questions, including a need to move in a few days early. Above all, I really appreciate how friendly and RESPONSIVE Sophia has been! I cannot say this is the same experience at other American Campus properties we have dealt with. Sophia is an amazing example of great customer service and attitude! Thanks, Sophia!
Out of all the American Campus communities the suites are by for the worst residence to stay at. They do minimal cleaning and have even damaged rooms while cleaning out the rooms and moving furniture. If you need to extend a lease and have nowhere to stay the night at the suites cost 200$ during the summer. This is absolutely laughable considering how hot the rooms are and how poor the service is here. Last resort!
Is very overpriced for what you get, the rooms are so hot even with the ceiling fan, so I had to buy two other fans. A delivery truck comes to the dub every morning at 5-6 am and is so loud. Nobody leaves their rooms to socialize, taking your trash down is a hassle, and parking close by is impossible so you will be walking a good distance with your groceries. At least the staff is nice!
Kate is awesome! Had a virtual and in-person tour and she was able to answer all of our questions :Beautiful housing and an even better staff!
Terrible place to live. Im paying over $800 a month for a room that can barely fit a desk and twin size bed with a shared bathroom. The person I share the bathroom with also makes it unusable because of how disgusting they make it. In addition, the managers are hardly ever on site and available to help you and the student workers, as great as they are, can only help you so much. This place is over priced and its basically a worse version of a freshman dorm. I guarantee you can find a better place to live on or off NAU campus, dont waste your time and money on this place or youll regret it like I do.
Where do I begin with this place....... its all about the employees honestly! James, Sam Mya, Dre, and Kate! This group of individuals are the ones I interact with the most. They are all very professional, kind, helpful and hilarious . There is honestly not enough that can be said about how much interacting with these people can change the attitude of your day! They are the type of people who will take the time just to say hi and see whats new, even when they are not working. Hands down the best groups of front desk personnel I have ever had the chance to have the pleasure of getting to know and I look forward to seeing them every day!!!
This might be the worst place to live on campus. They charge way too much for what you get. The parking situation is god awful and it’s impossible to feel safe walking in the dark parking lot, especially when you have to park so far. AND on top of all that, they lost my package and didn’t do anything about it, and won’t contact me about it either. Don’t be surprised when your room is 80degrees, even though they say AC is offered with your payment, it definitely does not work.
I took a tour of the suites with James Z and he was so awesome! He answered all of my questions and was very personable and friendly during the tour! From what I saw, the kitchens, game room, gym, study rooms, etc all appear to be very well kept and in great condition!
please whatever you do, do not live here. people are thieves here. my stuff was stolen out of the dryer and no one at the desk was even remotely helpful. the rooms are musty and gross and sad.
Parking situation is a nightmare. Walls in the rooms are paper thin. No air circulation what so ever, rooms and hallways are ridiculously hot, even at night when the outside air temperature is cool. Honestly, I should just sleep in the gym for some AC. Fans really do nothing in rooms. In terms of a gym this place is good but other then that I just got the most expensive gym membership in all of Flagstaff. Flagstaff is pretty hot climate until late October, things definitely gotta change.
Parking is impossible, the elevator has had an "OUT OF OPERATION" sign on it for the last three weeks even though it does work, no A/C even though the leasing office and first-floor hallway have A/C misleading potential tenants into thinking their rooms will have A/C. Rooms easily get to mid to upper 90s. Tenants are required to pay for the full months of August and May but cannot move in until August 21st without early move-in fees and have to be out after the first week in may or risk late move-out fees. They charge a $20 fee for paying your rent if you do not set up recurring payments. The business practice is very predatory and I would avoid it at all costs. BBB should actually investigate this place.
Rooms are extremely small for what you pay (plus no AC -- my room hit 100 degrees multiple times this week), elevator hasnt worked since move-in. They have no plan to fix it. If you want to park anywhere near here, you have to wait at least 30 minutes for another spot to open up because they WAY oversold the permit for this lot. If not, have fun walking from the front of McConnell to get back to your room. You pay a full month of rent for August and May event though you can only stay a week in those months. Walls are paper thin and I can hear people walking in the hallways through all hours of the night. People outside scream and ride skateboards which are very easy to hear. DO NOT SIGN HERE.
Honestly, the only good thing about this place is the gym. No AC in rooms or hallways. Its ridiculously hot 24/7, except for the late fall and winter months. I understand its not Phoenix and you wanna hold off on the electrical bill, but having the room temperature being consistently in the high 80s and low 90s is not normal, especially for the money we pay. Rooms are very small as well and are not worth the money. Save yourself some time and money and look elsewhere for housing.
I really like the convenient location of the facility; most of my classes are in a building nearby, making my walk to class no more than 5 minutes. I also really like that I got to pick my roommate (someone that I know and is a friendrather than have to live with someone I dont know.
Locations is so close to campus, and the rooms are really nice for the price. Find the right roommate and you will have so much fun! Plus the staff is so nice and so accommodating, The best part is it is walking distance to north campus and located right on south campus.
Living here is great if you take advantage of all the aspects, free printing has saved me so much money and the gym is definitely the best feature available. I never had an issue contacting any of the staff and they are all respectful. Andrea was very helpful in answering questions and was very nice. Kitchens are usually dirty at the end of the day only to blame of the other residents not cleaning up as they are cleaned every day by the staff.
Moved in and 3 days later had to move back home to California for health reasons. I am still currently paying $700 a month for a space to just sit there. I had my doctors from UCLA write letters, but it was still not enough justification to let me out of my lease. What I am saying is their management is poorly ran and nonethical. If there is a slim chance you will not be living there for all 10months, do not sign a lease the management will not let you break it despite how extreme your reasons may be.
I had a phone tour from Isabel and WOW! I am excited for my sister to live there in the upcoming year. I learned about all the amenities and decided the shared room was a great plan! Thank you once again Isabel for answering my difficult questions, you helped with a lot of stress.
Lived there for 3 years. Had the two person room setup for 2 years, and the single for the 1 last year. Very good place. Would recommend the single though for the comfort at only like a 100 dollars more a month. Fully furnished and great gym nearby. For real that gyms got it all. Also buildinga were clean too, never had any bug issues ever and lived in three different buildings all 3 years. Look for their deal too if you got work up there in the summer, since hardly anyone is there for June to August, they cut me something unbeatable for three months while I was contracting. Close, would recommend.
Its quiet and close to the school thats about it in regards to what is good about the Suites. If you have a job or an extremely active social life expect to never get a parking spot close to your building. They also make you pay for the full month of August and May when your only there for a week. Its extremely expensive for the actual size of the apartment you can find apartments outside of NAU for a much more reasonable price. The laundry machines sometimes malfunction and will take your money anyway. The kitchens are poorly maintained and are often dirty. Lastly the elevators are painfully slow and sometimes dont work, I once got stuck in the elevator when it malfunctioned and the call for help button didnt even work, if it wasnt for the two other people on the other side I wouldve been stuck in that elevator all night.
As someone who gets how tough it can be as an NAU student to find a good place to live, I would advise that people not live here. The experience isnt awful, but a bunch of small things add up to make me hate being here. For starters, the laundry machines that are on-site only take debit/credit. There are only 6 per building which is definitely not enough. To top it off the dryers barely dry your clothes, which means spending more time and money to do laundry.Second is the horrible parking situation. If you take your car off campus any day that isnt a weekend, you wont be parking anywhere near your building. You have to pay over $500 for parking that is not assigned and often very far from where you live.Third is the price, which is too high for what is essentially a tiny bedroom and shared bathroom. You get two kitchens per building, but they often fill up and are not left the cleanest. For much cheaper you could get an off campus apartment with a roommate and get much more out of the experience. Finally, the worst part about living at the Suites is getting charged for time that you arent even living here. You get charged full price for 10 months of living. Even though you move in the last week of August, they charge full price for the entire month. You have to pay a fee each day early you want to move in. You also have to pay for the full month of May, even though they kick you out right after finals. That alone makes me despise this place and feel ripped off. These all add up, and I would say that living here is not worth it. All on-campus housing at NAU is a scam, but its even worse here.
Ive been living at The Suites for the past 3 years and overall my experience has been nice. The apartment is on campus and close to everything, also its located less than 3 minutes away from the bus stops. The shared rooms are great because its spacious. The single rooms are personally a bit small considering what we pay for rent but if you rearrange the room a little its not as bad. All in all the facility is always clean and the staff is amazing!
The Suites is a great apartment complex if you want to be central to South campus. The location is very ideal and it comes with lots of useful amenities like a gym, a game room, and a theater room. They also have two types of floor plans: a shared or private suite. Additionally, they feature community kitchens if you dont have a meal plan, and they also have laundry rooms available in each building. The front office has many benefits as well, like free printing, free coffee, and the staff are great to work with as well. The grounds are also kept very clean as they are regularly maintained. Lastly, they also have study rooms located in each building on every other floor, for those who need a place to formally study.
I think the suites is a great option for housing on campus without even being in the regular dorm rooms. It is right next to the business building which is great and close to my job as well. The coupe is right in the middle as well if you want a bite to eat. The only issue that I’ve had is parking. Sharing parking with McConnell hall is a minus.
The Suites is a nice apartment, and really convenient to students that attend NAU. The price they charge is a bit high in my opinion, but many other apartments charge similar prices. So far I have had a positive experience staying here, and the staff is very friendly.
Overall a nice place to live. Maintenance, if necessary, is done promptly and common areas are kept clean. Staff is friendly and always helpful with any questions. The application and renting process is also very simple.Rooms may be a bit on the small side, but that is made up for by how rent is more affordable than a number of other apartments in the area and the convenience of being close-by to classes if most of your classes are on south campus (e.g. business, engineering, nursing, SBS, forestry, etc.). All in all, Id certainly recommend The Suites to other NAU students.
The suites are a pretty good place to live in my opinion for the cost and location. It is nice being on campus so you don’t have to drive a couple miles to class everyday. Employees are very kind and want to help. Also, I think the rooms are a pretty good size for the price. I have enough room where I don’t feel cramped. My only real complaint is the laundry machines. I’ve had the machines break on me a couple times or not fully dry my clothes which is a bit of a pain. The pros definitely outweigh the cons hence why I signed my lease for a following year.
My experience here was great! I loved having a gym, game room and Starbucks within 5 minutes of my room. The room size was perfect for my roommate and I! I would give it a full 5 stars if the rent was lower.
The Suites is a great place to live and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The maintenance workers are good at responding to requests and fixing whatever problem arises. The Suites are very close to bus stops and very close to places to eat on south campus. The 24/7 gym, movie theater to rent out and lounge areas are very nice to hang out and use.
Very poor. Its like living in a small hotel room. Elevators do not function very quickly when called if at all. There is not Air Cooling system only heating for the winter. Community laundry rooms, yet not enough machines for everyone on the floor. You do have to pay with a debit/credit card. The laundry machines do not take Jacks card. The machines may malfunction and still charge your card.
As a resident for nearly 2 years, I have learned that the secret to having a good living experience is to always communicate, be on top of everything youre responsible for and to take accountability when needed! The biggest complaint Ive encountered among residences is the fine line of what every position and entity is capable of doing. Because ACC is a third party contract with NAU they have to abide by the rules set fourth from NAU, including work orders on services that the University provides. For example, ITS of the University runs the internet, ACC runs all utilities and function of the apartments. Because its an on campus location, CAs and "smoke free" zones are implemented. You get the point - its basically a high class dorm with less restrictions. In addition to this, the mess in common areas are pretty frequent - in my opinion this is not due to the staffs poor maintenance of the common area, but rude and self-entitled students that give no bothers about what happens to areas theyre not responsible for. On the daily, I see them cleaning, vacuuming and wiping down every room. Theres only so much they can do to maintain a building thats housing a couple hundred students.Management and CAs:Every interaction conducted between staff members of the Suites and I have been professional, courteous and welcoming. I always felt like the CAs and front desk representatives wanted the best for me and would provide honest and up-to-date information about all residence related inquiries and own up to any mistakes on their part ( Were all human, it happens). They even have random events where they try to get to know residence and invite you to hang out and get to know who you can go to for help, advice and beyond. As for Management , they are friendly, but stern. Management is willing to work with you and discuss and any conflicts . From my experience, they are easier to work with if you are just as professional to their employees as they are to you. They are willing to assist you with payment inquiries that are in need of reasonable adjustment or about any inquiries that may arise as a whole.Maintenance:They do their job swiftly and with tact. Maintenance is always at my door within 24 hours of the work request. The cleaning crew can be seen every day cleaning up the common areas despite how disheartening some common areas are left as.There are semi-annual inspections of the room to ensure theyre in good shape ( By this I mean the doors are not being used as beer pong tables and etc - true story). Air filters are changed regularly and during breaks when the student population dies down, any major maintenance needed to the buildings are done.Theres a few things you should be aware of when it comes to living in the Suites.Building 1&2Cons:>Will get unbearably hot during warm seasons.>Older buildings with older fixtures>Building 2 is a maze and houses some interesting charactersPros:>Building 1 is connected to the Gym, office, Game room, and Starbucks.>Building 2 is closest to academic buildings.>The cell signal in this building actually existBuilding 3&4Cons:>Everyone can see into your room if you live below the fourth floor>NO CELL SIGNAL>Internet can be spottyPros:>Pleasant temperature during warmer seasons>Cool USB port on all outlets>Higher closets and "common space" in shared room is leveled lower>Best CAs live in building 3>Fireplaces and hammocks are set up in "courtyard" on days with nice weather.Hope this was thorough enough for anyone looking to find a great housing match. May the housing Gods be in your favor!AS a side note, a lot of the "reviews" Im reading are an example of people not fully reading/understanding their leasing agreement. Im not justifying mistreatment, but I would like to point out the hypocrisy of people being upset over terms that they signed and stated that they would abide by. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask questions and be proactive in what you are agreeing to.You save yourself a headache and a lot of time by being aware. :)
I have spent a semester and a half of my 2nd to last year here at NAU at The Suites and I must say that it is the best possible choice for on campus living without all the irritating factors that come with a dorm. I would agree that it is a bit more geared for south campus commuters and upper classmen. That being said its location is perfectly in the middle of everything, campus and the city. I shouldve lived here instead of heading off campus the price is affordable and transportation is no issue. I love the community and the amenities are well needed. The only negative thing Ive encountered was their vacuums were broken for a whole semester and they are supposed to be available for rent. With good timing and organization, this place can be the perfect student living community.
I have to say that the staff make this place a great place to live while on campus. They are always nice, professional, and willing to help when you come into the office. Another huge benefit is that, as a business student, it takes me no more than 2 minutes to go from my room to sitting down in my classroom. The location is spot on. Also, there is the DUB (cafeterianear by and a Starbucks just down stairs. On another note, the gym they have here is great and is significantly less crowded than the one on North Campus. The rooms may seem a little small but I feel the pros out weigh the cons. If you are looking for an on campus place to live, I would recommend The Suites, especially if you have the majority of your courses on south campus.
I love living at the Suites! The amenities are great and are clean. It is located on campus which is I personally love because you are close to your classes. Most of my classes are in the business building and it is a 5 minute or less walk. That is defiantly appealing when it is snowing outside. Besides the amenities, the staff are great they are helpful and always appreciating you as a resident which is a very nice because I have never experienced that anywhere else. The environment is very welcoming!
Ive lived here for almost a year now and although there are some short comings its a nice place overall. I love the 24 hr gym and use it every week. The club house amenities are nice, although I have very rarely used them. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Its located right on campus which is nice as well. Its pretty pricey, Im paying about $650 a month which isnt pro-rated so I pay for a full month in August and in May which is really ridiculous in my opinion. Also, parking isnt included so expect to shell out another 500 dollars for that. The kitchen is never clean: there is always burnt food on the range top and food overflowing from the garbage as well as all over the floor. I do have to mention that its not the suites fault, (there is someone who cleans it every afternoon but rather the disrespectful tenants who dont clean up after themselves. So if you plan on using the kitchen every day like I do, dont get your hopes up that it will be clean.Im really disappointed about their snow removal (or lack thereof). The parking lots dont get plowed and there is always ice on the walkways; very little effort gets put into snow removal around the housing units.Other than the aforementioned short comings, it really is a nice (but priceyplace to live.
I love living in The Suites! Its an upgrade by a million from the dorms. Private bathrooms and your own of every appliance. Its really convenient to live on campus but feel like youre not. The kitchen and study rooms are so nice and always available. Ill be living here for the rest of my college career!
I love living at the suites! Its on campus so I dont need to drive to class if its snowy, their gym is great, and the hammocks and fire pits are wonderful on warm days and cold nights! Also, they have an awesome lounge area above the gym which is perfect for get togethers with friends. The singles suites are a bit small and they dont plow the parking lots during heavy snow storms, but its more room than I originally had in McConnell, and the heating and hot water work great all the time! Will definitely be living here next semester :)
The amenities are great, but that doesnt make up for the god awful management. If you have any friends or girlfriend/boyfriend, the management will be looking over your shoulder constantly; its worse than a freshman dorm. With my experience, I was blatantly lied to by the manager. She called me at 8am when I was asleep, failed to get a hold of me, then called my mother. I wake up to 10missed calls from my mom, the management knocking on my door and simply saying "Call your mom," And nothing else. Im shaking thinking that something terrible has happened, but it was simply that my boyfriend had stayed the weekend and that hes not allowed. I called management asking about the rules. Aside from treating me like a child, she was incredibly disrespectful and lied. I asked about the policy on sleepovers and she said they were not allowed. I told her I would consult with the lease and hung up.When I went to the office to get a copy of my lease, she comes out and says that actually, sleepovers are allowed, I just have to sign them in at the front desk. I dont know if she thought of me as a child, and that I wouldnt check on the legal documents, but being treated this way is unacceptable. I worked at the time in order to pay 610 dollars a month for a shared room.If you have any other options, I would say to steer clear of this place. The students that work there are great, it is just the manager that does not care one bit about her tenants.
I like the amenities. However, it is expensive. Management is about getting as much money from the students as possible. They schedule move-in and move-out dates to maximize profits. Although you pay for the month, you have to get out after one week. For example, this year, finals were scheduled on Thursdayand they had to be out Friday at noon. If not, youd have to pay $75/day (in spite of the factthat you paid for a full month). They knowstudent schedules and that most familieswould have difficulty picking their students upby Friday morning but they dont care. My sonsroommate was graduating and was granted anadditional day. Its not like they could cIean oruse the room. I think they are all about draining students.they do it on purpose to maximize profits.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Suites except for the amount of money you pay to live there is outrageous. I had to pay a full months rent for August when I only lived there for less than a week. The same goes for May, after the last day of finals they expect everyone to just pick up and leave after paying a full months rent to live there for eight days. But, if you have extra money to blow, by all means. There are cheaper alternatives, ideally in the residence halls or even off campus.
